Wow The Sublime Focus is a oil monster ! For sur, the strongest ball in my bag. Like to the original Sublime, the Focus offering a smooth and predictable motion but on more oiled conditions. She gives me a clean reaction on the fronts with a smooth, controlled move downlane, it's perfect on big oiled conditions. If you want a ball for helping you for heavier oil, the Sublime Focus makes a great choice or also for the bowlers that not have big rotation, she will help you to give you the help to go on the pocket. The sublime Focus is now my first choice to put in my bag on the tournament road when I know that I will need some rugh surface.
The new Sublime focus is the latest addition to the 900 Global product line. Following the success of the original Sublime the new Sublime Focus features the 804 blend solid cover and using AI technology. I used the layout 45x4.5x50 this ball needs some oil. This ball out of the box is 2,000 grit really wants to rev up and see the mid lane and is very smooth and the new benchmark for 900 global.

I drilled the new 900 Global Sublime Focus 5x5x1 using the vls system. This particular layout gives me more flare out of the ball down lane. My first reaction to the Sublime Focus was super smooth and controllable. This ball reminds me of the Phaze 2 but a touch earlier. The new 804 Blend cover stock gives you almost a "benchmark" shape. Although i think this ball is a little strong to be considered a Benchmark ball, its still very close reaction wise. This ball would fit the 2 spot in a 6 ball tournament bag for me. I will definitely be drilling more of these in the future. Highly recommend!

900 Global’s new Sublime Focus is an Solid Symmetrical piece that is good for Medium Volume patterns. PAP is 5 5/16 R 1 3/16 Up. Rev Rate: 400. Speed: 16.5. Drilled this piece with the Pin up between the fingers and the CG kicked out 1” from the palm. Out of Box ball motion started in the mids with a smooth backend reaction through the pins on a Fresh House Pattern. I compared this to the Sublime (Hybrid) and it was 3-3 Right. The OG was cleaner through the fronts with a sharper backend. This will be a good 1st ball out of the bag on fresh. When the Sublime Focus is starting to early, the Sublime would be a good piece to switch too. This piece will be good for all types of styles.

The Sublime Focus gives me a clean look through the fronts with a smooth, controlled move downlane, making it perfect for medium to lighter oil conditions. It blends the pattern well without being too sharp or jumpy at the breakpoint, which is what I really like about it. Compared to the original Sublime, the Focus is more predictable, offering a smoother, more manageable motion when lanes start to break down. If you’ve got a ball like the Phase 2 for heavier oil, the Sublime Focus makes a great compliment when you need something that will still finish strong but won’t overreact when the lanes start to dry up. It's versatile and reliable, offering a nice balance of control and continuation.
The 900 Global Sublime Focus feature the Reserve Blend 804 Solid Reactive Cover, Immersed
Symmetric AI Core, and comes at 2000-grit. The Focus is the second ball in the Sublime and
includes the new reserve blend 804. First off, this thing is a hook monster. I was expecting it to
be strong but it was much stronger than I thought. For me, it was too much for a house shot and
even on a challenge pattern that I filmed on, it just didn’t match up for me. Too be honest, I don’t
match up with solid syms very well regardless. I compared it to the Optimum Idol and the OI
feels a touch earlier and more round. The Focus was a bit longer but a lot more shape down
lane. I think this ball will be in between the OI and P2 as far as front to back hook but I think the
overall strength puts this ball above them both. This ball will need oil and be great for the
heavier volumes. This is going to be another great release from 900 Global!

The 900 Global Sublime Focus, featuring the Reserve Blend 804 Solid cover and Immersed™ Symmetric A.I. core, is a fantastic addition to any bowler's arsenal. Drilled 5 x 5 x 3, it starts up a bit earlier than the Optimum Idol but maintains a similar backend reaction to the original Sublime, providing a great balance of control and power. I've found it strikes consistently from various angles, making it my go-to league ball. If you're looking for reliability and performance, the Sublime Focus is a must-have—don’t miss out!
Our 900 Global Sublime Focus video is now live. Please excuse the audio in this one as we were having troubles with the mics. The Sublime Focus is hands down the strongest asymmetrical piece to ever release from 900. The Sublime Focus is going to be a great 1 ball for league or the perfect transition piece to ball down from your big asyms during a tournament block.

The sublime Focus brings back the Immersed AI core paired with the new Reserve Blend 804 Solid coverstock. Sources have told me that this coverstock has nano particles in it to give that added traction in the heavier oil conditions. I drilled this one pin down to give me the ability to play straighter angles through the front of the lane while still giving me that strong midlane read. This sublime not only gets through the front well, but has great continuation. On my 44ft house shot, it was great on the fresh as expected. The solid coverstock blended the lane really well and had great pin carry. It also provided a lot of control which is what is needed on the fresh. When the front part of the lane broke down, I was able to move in more with my feet but to keep up with the pin carry, I needed to slow my ball speed down. This is pretty typical for a strong solid coverstock bowling ball. Balling down to the original sublime after the focus would be the most ideal situation for this ball once the focus becomes too smooth down lane. The most ideal conditions for the focus are the fresh for a typical house pattern or medium to longer sport patterns where there is a lot of oil volume. This would be a great step up and smoother option than the original sublime. Compared to the Harsh Reality Solid, the focus will be about 4 boards weaker overall and have a little better continuation.

The Sublime Focus has a very smooth and predictable roll for myself. I have actually been switching to this ball during transition around game 2 and it gets the corners out. I am also able to move in a little with this ball and due to it rolling up quicker it sets up and drives through the pins unlike any other solid I have used in the past. This ball is a great ball for tournaments where the lanes can be challenging.

The New 900 Global Sublime Focus features the 804 Solid Reactive cover stock wrapped around the Immersed Symmetric AI core. I drilled my Sublime Focus to be that transition ball for dryer house shots. I am able to get left and let the ball do its thing. The Sublime Focus gives me great length for a solid ball but still stores enough energy to really pop down lane.

The newest release in 900 Global's 800 series is called Sublime Focus. The Focus features the same Immersed Core with A.I. technology in the original Sublime, this time wrapped in the 804 Reserve Blend solid cover. This is one of the most powerful Symmetric cores ever. For me the original Sublime was remarkably early for a polished ball.
I tested the Sublime Focus for the first time in league. I was concerned about having as much oil as possible for this ball and it seemed like waiting for a fresh lane condition was smartest. I was shocked to find that if anything I had an easier time getting the Sublime Focus down-lane compared to the original Sublime. The Focus still gave me the strong consistent mid-lane read but it didn't stand up as sharply when it saw friction. The more drawn out transition in the back of the lane makes this ball more continous. It was plenty of ball to handle the fresh oil, but I was blown away with how well it continued to carry as the lane forced me left.
I think this ball will match up to a wide variety of bowling styles. It's getting to be almost cliche to compare a ball to the Phaze II, but this ball really makes me think of the Phaze II's versatility. It is no doubt a stronger hooking ball overall, but this ball responds so well to hand position changes, and surface changes that it's standing out to me as a must for your tournament bag and an easy staple for league play.

The Sublime Focus is a much bigger and stronger version of the original Sublime. Now we have a Sublime for the fresh or a longer pattern. I found this ball to be very strong on a fresh as my first shot to see what we had was standing on 20 and looking at the 2nd arrow and after this one shot I knew we had to move left. It looked to really want to dig into the lane and off the pattern it broke loose. I moved 5 boards with my feet and started to target 12 and that ball seemed to get dialed in. I threw a few shots from there and then kept moving left to see how far I can go and after a few shots I just couldn't get the ball to stay on line and found that the Ion Max was a better choice from this zone. So if you are in the market for a bigger and stronger ball this would be a great option for league and tournament players alike.

Mine is pin up, and one of my most hooking balls in my bag. Rolls so well, I liked it a lot better when it got a little lane shine on it. The more it rolls, so far, the better its getting for the lanes I'm bowling on. If I go 1st ball out on the lanes, this ball features the new Reserve Blend 804™ Solid Reactive cover stock matched with its Immersed™ Symmetric A.I. Core, this ball meets the odds for sure. Out of the box it comes at 2000. It reacts great mid lane, then it likes the back end as well. In testing, A.I. Core Technology has been seen to strike more on the light pocket hits due to the increased energy distribution, so hopefully I wont leave as many 10 pins lol!

Hi everyone, I hope all is going well in the first half of the fall bowling season!
I decided to “try” to replace my current benchmark ball that I have used in league since last year. The Roto Grip Hustle X-Ray. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE my 2 X-Rays but was looking to see if there was a “better” ball. I have drilled other balls from the three brands, and I have liked or loved them, but nothing has been so “steady” for me like the Hustle X-
Ray.
My first few rolls were better than I anticipated, I was able to start 5 boards right of my normal starting spot on the approach, but still use my target right between the 2 tracer boards down lane. I was able to stay in that area for about 40 consistent shots. Which with the X-Ray or the Ion Pro, I would have been adjusting after about 25-30 shots. My strike percentage increased by 12% over the Ion Pro and X-Ray in the same 40 consistent shots. Where I would leave blow out 10’s with the Ion Pro and weak 7’s with the X-Ray, the Sublime Focus gave me a little extra kick when carrying the corner pins. After I completed these 40 shots, I started working with the Focus by closing and opening my launch angles I was able to work with the Focus across the whole lane. Where my other 2 choices would have been a little harder to cover all the same territory on the lane, the Sublime Focus covered it all. Watching clients using them during Matchmaker events, I must encourage them to try it because they see all the hype on the Ion Pro and Ion Max, that once they try it, they lean towards the Sublime Focus. My honest opinion is that the Sublime Focus is the BEST 900 Global since they introduced the original Zen several years ago. Please DO NOT lose FOCUS on this ball. See your local Pro Shop Operator and check out what the hype is all about.

The Sublime Focus is the Sublime with a solid reactive coverstock. I love the original Sublime (just read my review of it), so putting the Solid 804 Blend cover on the Sublime was intriguing. Sure enough, the solid cover made it read the front part of the lane noticeably earlier than the original Sublime. The lower RG rolls quicker to ensure it doesn’t miss the midlane. The higher differential means it still had enough track flare potential to create good downlane motion. The Sublime Focus is a good choice if you are looking for a symmetrical ball on medium to heavy volume oil patterns. It won’t overskid and you can go up the lane with it or circle it if need be. I drilled mine pin up, 4 ½ from my PAP.

Ball Reviews:
Ion Max:
Asymmetric, strong and designed for heavy oil conditions. The Ion Max with its strong engine will combat the heaviest of oil. Built for the fresh to play on top of it early and slowly migrating in as the transition begins, the Ion Max will be the strongest ball out the bag. This ball can be used with a lot of volume, tighter oil conditions and/or longer oil patterns.
Sublime Focus:
Symmetric and strong. What I like about this ball is the ability to keep my angles tight and up the lane when there is more oil or they are tighter and the stronger asymmetric's are too much ball. For comparison purposes against the other symmetric solids, this will be earlier than a Phaze 2 and provide a heavier roll smoother roll.
Phaze AI:
The Phaze AI is a throwback to those cleaner angular Storm bowling balls. This ball reminds me of what the UC2 provided with discernible backend motion. This ball will be usable for when the lanes begin to transition, open up and left to right (for righties/reverse for lefties) is needed without losing angle and continuation down lane. This is a great option to have when the solids become too smooth.

The NEW 900 Global Sublime Focus is a high-performance bowling ball designed for those seeking a ball for what the Zen Master should have been. Strong backend motion and control on medium to heavy oil conditions.
The ball features the low RG 2.47 Immersed Symmetric AI Core found in the Sublime Hybrid, which provides a high revving, consistent and powerful motion through the pins. This core is known for its ability to maintain energy and deliver a strong backend reaction. Hook potential is high at 0.056
The Reserve Blend 804 Solid Reactive coverstock (upgrade of the S77 response), finished with a 2000 grit Abralon, ensures readable traction and control which allows the ball to start earlier and dig into the oil providing a strong and continuous motion.
This ball is versatile and can compete with any high-end asymmetrical on the market for those that desire symmetrical pieces to their arsenal. I found mine to be a bit more predictable than my Summit and earlier than my Summit Ascent
Consistency best describes the balls characteristics. Cover adjustments can be manipulated with polish or high grit Abralon pads. The ball's strong coverstock and core design allow for various drilling layouts, making it adaptable to different playing styles and lane conditions.

The Sublime Focus bowling ball shouldn’t be overlooked – there is a lot of consistent performance in this ball. The Sublime Focus features a Reserve Blend 804 Solid Reactive coverstock and the Immersed Symmetric A.I. Core. As of recent, this bowling ball has quickly become one of my favorite strong symmetrical balls.
I drilled my Sublime Focus with my standard pin-up layout that I normally use on stronger symmetrical bowling balls: 60 x 5 x 30. Such layout and core combination results in this bowling ball flaring quite a lot. The coverstock of the Sublime Focus seems to be very strong and with out of the box surface, the bowling ball feels very early, strong and forward down the lane. Once the surface of the Sublime Focus shined itself up a bit, I saw a very controllable ball motion with a lot of mid-lane reaction. I was very pleased how this bowling ball rolled on several medium patterns. The strength of this coverstock is very noticeable as I felt like I needed to make an adjustment nearly every other shot.
I am quite impressed with the Sublime Focus and I believe lots of players would have great success with this bowling ball. I think this ball fits great between strong asymmetrical bowling balls like Harsh Reality and cleaner symmetrical bowling balls like Summit Ascent. I think those bowlers who are looking for strong symmetrical bowling ball will really enjoy throwing the Sublime Focus. Also, bowlers who tend to throw it faster, will find this bowling ball to give them a very good mid-lane reaction. In my opinion, this ball will work best on fresh, heavier volume medium patterns where you need to have a little more control in the back part of the pattern. Finally, because of the strength of this coverstock, I believe the Sublime Focus will work great on majority of house patterns.

Sam Cooper. Roto Grip Amateur Staffer. The new 900 Global Sublime Focus features the 804 blend Solid cover with the Immersed AI core. In my opinion this ball is cleaner than the Roto Grip Optimum Idol but rolls earlier than a Storm Phase 2. I think it fits that gap perfectly. The ball reaction is not as smooth as the Optimum Idol but not as quick off the spot as the Phase 2. To me this would be a very good ball for tougher conditions with its reaction characteristics. The Focus does not seem to read the spot too early or do anything too much on the down lane. It does need some oil on the lanes to be utilized properly. The shelf appeal of this ball is nice as well. If you are looking for a strong option that gets down lane this would be a good option.
I did drill the Focus with a weaker pin to pap distance of 5.5”(up). I wanted to see if it would be usable or versatile in different scenarios. One night in burn league we were on a tighter pair felt like there was a lot of oil down lane. I decided to try the focus and man was I impressed. Not only was I impressed how it reacted on a house shot. I was also impressed at how well it went through the pin deck. It did not seem to deflect much at all and drove into the 8 pin(as long as the operator threw it correctly that is). The strong yet smooth reaction gives this ball life in multiple situations. I tested the Focus on a 38 ft sport pattern, and you could see how much cleaner it was than an Optimum Idol read the spot well. For the house pattern I left it slightly lane shined and for the sport pattern I used a 2000 pad. This ball will help you remain Focused on the lanes for sure.

The Sublime Focus is a strong, consistent symmetrical ball that provides a control option that is earlier than the likes of the Phaze 2 or Optimum Idol. As a result, this ball slots in the top of the symmetrical solids in the SPI lineup. As an earlier, slower step up from the rest of the line, this ball is great for calming down sparking backends on flatter patterns, blending out over/under, and generally controlling the lane front to back whether the conditions are flat, cliffed, or anywhere in between. The Sublime Focus is a great option for speed dominant players for whom the Phaze 2 and Optimum Idol are too clean/long. If you need a new big control symmetrical ball, this is the one!

Review:
The 900 Global Sublime Focus features a crafted 804 cover design that falls between the S77 and S84 range that 900 Globalers are familiar with over the past few years. A good ball within the 900 line to compare the Sublime Focus to is the Zen Master. However, the Sublime Focus is a significant upgrade in terms of A.I. core technology and the continuation this offering provides as a symmetric piece.
Moving forward a bit I see the Sublime Focus taking over that spot in my bag over the Storm Summit which has been very successful for me on longer sport patterns. My speed tends to be slower as well, so bigger balls burning up early can be the tendency in the arsenal. At first, I did not jump on grabbing a Sublime Focus. After working a few SPI MatchMakers it was clear to me this ball is special.
The Sublime Focus is a nice compliment to your bigger asym balls as well. Once you attack a pattern with your 900 Global Harsh Reality or your Storm Ion Max the Sublime Focus is perfect to keep the pattern within your control. I believe you will find a great deal of range with this ball. In addition, you can still move in with your shot and continuation is not a problem at all with the Sublime Focus.
For me, I did not do any surface adjustments. It was not needed and I'm satisfied with the OOB surface as is. The Sublime Focus is the ball I didn’t know I needed! Solid symmetricals are the lifeblood of the industry especially when it comes to more difficult patterns. Phaze 2, Optimum Idol, IQ Tour are some of the staples for any SPI bowler. Add the Sublime Focus to that. It’s a tiny bit cleaner than the Phaze 2 but stronger than the Optimum Idol. The Phaze 2 tends to get a little forward if you don’t have enough oil, but the Sublime Focus, with the AI core keeps the axis a little longer which means it continues better.
The more the continuation the more usable the ball across a pattern. So if you need something stronger than an Optimum or more continuous than a Phaze 2, the Sublime Focus is the ball. Don’t sleep on this one. This will be a lot of people’s preference in that strong solid symmetrical spot!

The 900 Global Sublime Focus is very similar to the Eternity Pi, with the notable distinction of being slightly more responsive. I find that the Sublime Focus is a great option to use before the Eternity Pi, as it provides an earlier read on the lane while still delivering a strong backend reaction.
When the Sublime Focus begins to check up too early, transitioning to the OG Sublime allows for consistent performance from the same part of the lane. I believe these two balls would create an effective 1-2 punch, making them ideal for the beginning of a tournament or for a two-ball league setup.
I drilled my Focus with the pin up, while Chaise opted for a pin-down layout. Personally, I find Chaise's reaction to be slightly more favorable than mine. We both agree that a pin-down layout would be more beneficial for higher-speed, higher-rev players, while a pin placement just above the fingers could suit tweeners and lower-rev, lower-speed players effectively. For the lower speed and high rev bowlers I would combine the pin up drilling with a layout that would cut back the flare potential as well.
I am excited to have this exceptional combination, which I believe will serve me well throughout the early to middle stages of tournament play, as well as in league competition.

I drilled up my SUBLIME FOCUS with a standard layout of 65 x 4.5 x 30. This is my normal layout for symmetrical balls that I can get a good read on where it fits in my bag. So far, I have just thrown it at box surface of 2000 and maybe just for a couple of games. I did move down to 14 lbs and the 900 Global gear tends to stay very similar spec wise in 16-15-14 weights.
My initial thoughts are this is a stronger piece that is slightly smoother on the back end of the lane. I would see this being good when there is medium to slightly longer length (41-44 ft) with decent volume but fresher back ends. This one can keep you out of trouble until the transition to something like a HARSH REALITY PEARL or ION MAX occurs when you have to start to give up the headpin more to the right.
The 900 Global Sublime Focus is the sequel to the original Sublime. The Focus features the Reserve Blend 804™ Solid Reactive cover, along with AI technology to form a truly strong piece. I went with a 5 3/4 x 4 x 2 layout to get me as much length as possible from the core to avoid burning up too early with this strong of a cover. What I got was a moderately early, strong, rolly ball that punches holes through the pins. It's unique to see a ball roll so hard in the midlane, then finish behind the 8 pin. Impressive actually. This is going to be best for speed matched or speed dominant players due to the strength of the core and cover. Definitely best for fresh oil conditions!
The Sublime Focus by 900 Global has the Reserve Batch No. 804 Blend Solid Cover stock with the Immersed Symmetric A.I. Core, this ball is strong and continuous giving us an insane control on the lane. This ball has a little more down lane motion versus the Optimum Idol, sometimes the Idol reads to early when there isn’t a lot of volume on the lane that’s were the Sublime Focus comes in for me. The Sublime Focus is cleaner than my Idol, covers more boards and can be used more often for me than my Idol. This ball can also be in the same category as a Summit Ascent but the Ascent is much cleaner with more down lane motion than the Sublime Focus. Out of those 3 the Sublime Focus has become the dull symmetric ball I got to. Players looking to have a step down from a high end asymmetrical or looking for something that responds a little slower to the friction the Sublime Focus is the ball to go to.
Rich Kollmeyer Dec 31, 2024
The Sublime Focus is your classic strong solid symmetric ball, great for heaver oil conditions or a first ball out of your bag to smooth out the back end on a fresh oil pattern. The Sublime Focus is going to occupy the same spot in the bag as the Optimum Idol solid or the original Summit - your biggest symmetric ball in the bag. So far, I am impressed with the versatility of the Sublime Focus, even as I move left on the lane, the Focus is able to turn the corner and still go through the pins well enough to get the 10 out. If your center has enough volume or you bowl on some higher volume sport patterns, I could see the Sublime Focus being a staple in your bag.

The 900 Global Sublime Focus features the Immersed symmetric AI core and wraps it in the Reserve Blend 804 solid coverstock finished at 2000 grit abralon. At 15 pounds the RG is a low 2.47 with a differential of .056. I drilled my Sublime Focus at 4 x 4 x 2 which puts the pin above the middle finger. This ball flat out hooks with its out of the box finish. The more I throw this ball the better and better it gets. The lane shine really helps this ball get down the lane a little bit and store a little more energy. Don’t let the shine fool you though, this ball still needs a good amount of oil to be effective. My second night using the Sublime Focus, I shot 300 the second game playing around 4th arrow sending it out to about 7 or 8 and having it come back. The AI core provided the strength to just kick out the corners enough for me to finish of the 300 game. I was not able to finish the night with the ball, as the lane conditions just did not hold up long enough. If you bowl on a house shot with a good amount of oil, the Sublime Focus is for you.

The 900 Global Sublime Focus utilizes the Reserve Blend 804 solid reactive cover along with the Immersed A.I. Core. The Sublime Focus is very strong with box finish on it. The Sublime Focus is a very underrated ball in my opinion.

Ion Max>X-Cell>Sublime Focus>Attention Star S2>Optimum Idol Solid>Phase II>Summit Ascent>Ion Pro

Amazing ball, great smooth action. Very predictable backend. Still enough core in this symmetrical to get some good hook if you need to move further left. Love the purchase. Great shipping too, very competitive with Amazon. Only took two days to get to the house!

Have two of this ball, one drilled 70-4.5'-30. This newer ball had it drilled 60-2 3/8"-70, good first game ball, digs in the conditioner. Really happy with this balls reaction. Thinking about buying another. Great price, get them while they last?

I really like this type of bowling ball. I bought four and had a different drilling on each. Two pin up, one pin under, and one short pin drilling to the side. A ball for all oil patterns occasions.

Drilled this ball pin under the bridge, also have 3 other Sublime Focus's each drilled differently. A ball for all occasions.

Our coach recommended we exchange this wall. It was our understanding this ball would be a little to strong for my wife who has a ball speed challenge. He recommended a Radical Direct Hit Torpedo. We'll let you know how that turns out.

This product was for a friend. He ended up not liking the ball but I think that's because he got the wrong layout. However I love my sublime focus.
