Recently, I punched the new Hammer Widow 3.0 Dynasty. Like with all Widow series balls, it features the Gas Mask asymmetric core. The coverstock is a purple HK-22 Cohesion Solid finished at 2000 Siaair. The layout used on the Widow 3.0 Dynasty is 60 x 5 x 70 and I used it in fresh THS at box surface. I'll say it once and I'll say it again, Hammer has yet to make a Widow that I didn't like and this will be no exception. For years, Widows have always matched up well for my particular game. Even by Widow standards, this ball covers a lot of territory. For comparison purposes, I took out a Widow Mania, last year's regular Widow release drilled with a similar layout. (I know there was the Widow Tour V1 from September but that is a different ball with a modified Gas Mask core.) I put the Mania to the same surface. The difference is indeed significant between the 2 balls as the new Widow 3.0 Dynasty is about 3 boards left at the arrows. But that ever reliable Widow shape is definitely there. The Widow 3.0 Dynasty, at box surface, requires volume in the pattern. It's definitely a step down from a Zero Mercy Solid and a step up from a Widow Mania and the Widow Tour V1. I see this a touch stronger and more sideways than the Zero Mercy Pearl. Hammer has some truly great selections in their asymmetric core pieces presently. Like all Widows, I expect this Widow to match up with many different styles and rev rates. I'll try it at different surface preparations but at box surface, it will excel on higher volume patterns. The new Black Widow Dynasty 3.0 is just ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! In comparison to the Hammer Zero Mercy and the Hammer Maximum Effect, The Dynasty 3.0 gives you the smooth predictability the Black Widow line is known to have. What makes this Black Widow so special is the overall hook and hitting power this ball provides. The Black Widow has a layout of 65x4x35, which provides me more length and angularity down lane. I did not alter the surface of the Dynasty 3.0, but you will not need to unless you encounter a very strong volume of oil. The Black Widow Dynasty 3.0 in comparison to the Hammer Zero Mercy Solid, would be a slight ball down as the Dynasty will give you more length and more backend down lane. This ball is definitely for heavier volumes of oil and will not disappoint! The Black Widow Dynasty 3.0 is available in your local pro shop!

Bowled a new personal best first day using this ball!

Didn’t realize that there couybe so much difference in ball manufactures. Did I wait to long to purchase my first black widow, at 63 maybe! Used storm, ebonite and root grip pretty much my entire bowling career. Had I found this ball years ago who knows what I would have achieved in this sport! The new 3.0 out of the box I couldn’t keep it in the pocket, put it up for a game and a half. Then had a disagreement that got my adrenaline going, pulled the widow out for the 3rd game! What was I thinking?? I had the speed from the adrenaline pumping in my veins, from the start at around 17 mph this ball for me, was on a mission, we completed that first complete game, 260! If buy it be prepared for it to be a powerhouse!

Out of box this ball is a beauty the picture does not do it justice definitely recommend to anybody

I am a big fan of the Black Widow line. They always put different covers around the same core, (except the Widow Tour V1 :-) ) , so it must be the core that matches up with my game so well. The Hammer Black Widow Dynasty is a little stronger than the BW 3.0 overall and is a little more angular down lane. It hits hard. It is not as strong overall as my Zero Mercy Solid, but is a nice step down piece. Another winnner in the Black Widow line.
