The Mania has proven to be an awesome ball for me, as long as there's plenty of oil on the lane. I'm not a terribly experienced bowler and I'm sure it's an even better ball than I can give it credit for. Definitely a head turner in the looks department too.

Who doesn’t love a Widow? This one might just be my favorite of all. Easily gets through the fronts and with that HK22-Cohesion what more could you ask for. A great go to ball after the Widow 3.0. Easily the cleanest Widow I’ve thrown and really gets around the corner at the end of the pattern

I throw two handed left hand bowler bowling on house shot. I can use this ball in zones one and two. The ball has great reaction pushing through the oil on the frond and snapping into the pocket on the dry. If the lanes are in the wet dry conditions this ball for me grips to much and starts to get lane burn. Right now this is my most usable ball. The Black Widow Mania has the gas mask core asymmetrical core that works great and the HK 22 cohesion pearl cover for me is a great combo for leagues and short pattern lanes. The spa does not work good on the dry or in beat up lanes that have a lot of wet dry spots.

This has been one insane ball. I'm a one hand no thumb bowler, and this ball was wild out of the box. First series in league, I threw 763. Typical house shot, and over the three it was absolutely dominant. Now, I don't know if it was New Ball Day giddy, but since, it's been like a taming a wild animal. I throw an average 15-15.5 mph, and a pretty mid-high rev rate, and finding the line to pocket gets tough. Shorter patterns, or moving left more it just gets drastic, FAST. Super hook past the breakpoint, or once it hits friction, it takes off like a rocket and typically Brooklyn's, sending pins everywhere. Loft, and it'll still build and burn, with a 7 or 10 still standing. If it's tamed, it's a strike every time. Absolutely filthy ball, for the right condition.

Hammer has done it again with its new Black Widow Mania. The gas mask core is back and combined with the HK22- pearl cohesion cover stock make this is one of the smoothest balls in my bag. This ball is super predictable and perfect for any medium/heavy oil patterns. It’s very continuous through the pins. Definitely a fantastic benchmark ball in my opinion.

My wife and I each have one of these I believe for our style of bowling and the lane conditions we bowl on this ball is maybe the best we could have. It goes very long and hooks very strong into the pocket. Absolutely awesome ball. in my opinion the best ball hammer has made ever!

Out of all of the balls I have been blessed to throw as an ambassador for Brunswick, one line of balls I have never thrown….and that line was the Black Widow line. I wasn’t that I didn’t like them, I just never tried one because each time they came out, they just didn’t fit in my arsenal. Now, I am SO glad I took the leap and drilled up the new Hammer Black Widow Mania! Having never thrown a Black Widow, I wanted to see what made this ball so different. The HK22-Cohesion Pearl coverstock which is the same cover on the Hammer Effect which I ABSOLUTELY, so I wanted to put a 40x5x75 layout in this ball to maximize its full ball motion and give the ball continuous and predictable ball motion on any lane condition…AND IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT!!! The Black Widow Mania simply an INCREDIBLE bowling ball! The ball control and predictability support all the reviews and hype I have heard for years about the Black Widow line for years. This ball is just unreal. Like the Hammer Effect and if I can be so bold….I believe we have the 2025 Ball of the Year in the Hammer Black Widow Mania!!!

Black Widow Mania doesn't disappoint at all in the Black Widow family. I personally like the pearls better than the solids just because I carry better with them. So far this has been a great tournament ball and not very good on house shots, but that's ok it happens!
