An Upcoming Bowling Ball You Had No Idea Was Being Made | Storm Phaze AI

Storm Phaze AI Performance Test

The Storm Phaze AI is the Phaze 2 in pearl form — the ball bowlers have been asking for since 2016. The Velocity A.I. core adds more differential than the original Velocity, and the TX-16 Pearl coverstock with Power Edge finish creates the strongest symmetric pearl in Storm's lineup.

Performance Analysis

Performance Analysis

Think Phaze 2, but pearl. The Phaze AI takes the concept that made the Phaze 2 the GOAT benchmark ball and gives it more length and a more angular backend. The Velocity A.I. core is an evolution of the original Velocity, bumping the differential from .051 to .053 for slightly more track flare and a stronger shape off the breakpoint.

The TX-16 Pearl coverstock with Storm’s Power Edge finish pushes through the fronts cleanly before making a strong, angular move to the pocket. This is the transition ball that sits between the Phaze 2 Solid and the Phaze 2 Pearl — stronger than a traditional pearl but with more backend than a solid.

Who Is This Ball For?

League bowlers who love the Phaze 2 but want more length and angular motion on transition. Speed-dominant players who find the Phaze 2 Solid too early-reading. Tournament players looking for a strong symmetric pearl that can handle medium-heavy oil with authority.

The ball was exactly as advertised, and since it was a preorder, I can not speak about the product's performance as yet, but I received the product without any problems, and in a very timely manner(it shipped on the day that they informed me it would.
