This ball is perfect to be first out any bag it’s very readable and controlled for an asym ball making it a perfect starting point to tell if you need to ball up or down or stay in the beast because it absolutely annihilated pins when it hits if your considering it you won’t be sorry
This ball it’s like a tank, it explodes the pocket! This a must have ball! Reads the lane early and drives through the pins! Definitely won’t regret having this ball in your bag!
This ball has such good back end control gets thru the heavier patterns really clean
The SWAG Serpent Hybrid Bowling Ball gives me the perfect amount of length and a strong backend to finish through the pins. I’ve been using it on medium to heavy oil and it performs great on both. For reference, my ball layout is 4 x 4 x 2. I am a medium speed, low to medium rev bowler so I rely on the performance of the ball and this one has quickly become my go to ball.
Swag Staffer: I have thrown our new Serpent for a couple weeks. This is my new go-to ball. I am 2-handed and i just love the reaction i get out of it. This ball really gets through the front of the lane and then is from strong down-lane motion. This ball can be used during transition time for blending out the oil pattern. I have seen the backend motion be sharp for me. For this being a hybrid, i love the sharp backend motion even though its very controllable motion. This ball lets me play the lane a little deeper and it can also open up the lanes as well. This is my new favorite ball from us! Plus, the colors and look at eye-catching as well.
The SWAG Serpent has been an absolute game changer for my arsenal. From the first shot, you can feel the difference. This ball gets through the front of the lane incredibly clean and smooth, but what really separates it is the strong backend motion and late pop into the pocket. When it makes its move, it doesn’t hesitate — it drives with purpose, power, and confidence. What I love most is the balance of control and strength. The reaction is predictable and smooth, yet it delivers explosive energy right where you need it. The continuation through the pins is outstanding, producing strong carry and impressive pin action. This ball doesn’t just hit — it hits hard and keeps going, giving you the confidence to trust every shot. You can definitely tell the SWAG Serpent is a different kind of good. It’s built for bowlers who want reliability, power, and performance when it matters most. If you’re serious about elevating your game and attacking the pocket with authority, this ball delivers. One shot at a time, one frame at a time — the SWAG Serpent helps you perform at your best.
I used this ball for the first time yesterday game 3 and it was the perfect ball change. Out the box I went 258. I needed something to get down lane and bust a move when entering the pocket. This ball done exactly that. I throw between 16.5 /17mph. You want something clean AND aggressive, this is the ball. This ball slithers and bites just when you need it to.
Swag Staffer- I have thrown this ball for a few weeks and man do I love it. The length and backend I get out of this ball is amazing. The Serpent is very clean through the front of the lanes while saving energy for a very powerful motion down lane. When the lanes start to transition a little, I move into the Serpent to blend out the oil pattern. When i get this ball to the friction, its move is always decisive and angular. I usually pull this ball out for game 2 and move deeper on the lane. The is a great step-down ball for when your bigger equipment starts hooking too early. Whether you're a league bowler or a competitive player, the Serpent gives you confidence when you need a ball that finishes hard.
Cory G. - SWAG Staff Member I am a right-handed, thumb-in bowler with a PAP of 5 5/8" over and 1" up, drilled at 60 × 4.5 × 50. The Serpent Hybrid has quickly become my "Go-To" ball. The Serpent Hybrid gives me that "Control" feel when I am struggling to figure out what the lanes are asking for. The Serpent Hybrid bridges the gap between a solid cover ball being too much and a pearl cover not being enough. With the addition of AP26 the Serpent Hybrid gives the length through the front part of the lane while giving me the control and back-end action I need to clear the pin deck. The Serpent Hybrid is a solid benchmark Asymmetrical piece in the middle (number 3 slot) of my 6-ball travel arsenal and a number 2 ball in my league 3 ball arsenal. You can pick your Serpent up on 2/17/26 and put some SWAG in your bag!
If you are looking for that strong asym shape this is the one for you this is a perfect 1st out the bag ball that gives you the ultimate control and you can stay in this ball for all 3 games the shape on this ball is amazing and hits the pins like a Mac truck the new AP26 is just amazing!
All I got to say about this ball is wow because I drilled this ball 60x5x30 to get it to go down the lane a little longer like I did with my dragon pearl but they are two difference reactions with that new ap26 cover stock. I think that new cover stock was the way to go to compete with all the other brands and to get swag out there. This ball allows me to throw all different angles with this cover stock if I miss right it give me a lot of miss room. A lot of shiny asymmetrical bowling balls don’t match up with me because they like to go two long down the lane with my 600+ rev rate and my high ball speed but this one doesn’t do that to me when that cover stock hits friction down lane it definitely builds up energy and goes through those pens beautifully. I highly recommend this ball to everyone that like to play down and in with low rev rate or anyone with high rev rate because this ball is great for anyone on a house shot or even a sport shot. I bowl on a 46 foot pattern in league and I have no problem in shaping this ball. This is one of my favorite balls so far and I can’t wait to try out the other this year.
Man, I’ve been drilling SWAG balls since joining SWAG, and the Serpent Hybrid just blew me away—it’s got this wild shape from the AP26 Hybrid Reactive coverstock that none of their other stuff touches, like a perfect blend of early read and sharp snap that keeps me striking through transitions. SWAG nailed it: Serpent Asymmetric core at 2.504 RG, 0.046 diff, and 0.016 Int. Diff for solid flare without going loose, all wrapped in superior asymmetric performance. Right out of the box, the 4000 Abralon polish was slick through the heads, but I bumped it to 3000 grit for my league house shot—now it digs earlier in carrydown while still exploding backend, no over/under drama. Drilled it 60x5x35, and at my speed, it’s a little more aggressive than the Judge Solid, with pin carry that’s turning heads.. On heavier house patterns, it saved my butt—clean length, then that unique AP26 shape kicks in for massive entry angle, way more controlled than typical hybrids. Rev-dominant buddies might polish it back, but for balanced guys like me, it’s a game-changer. Hands down, my new arsenal MVP—SWAG crushed it again.
The Serpent is a great addition to the Dragon Line. The Serpent allows me to stay in a stronger ball as a rev dominant player with not a lot of speed. The Serpent rolls longer before making that left turn, which for me is smooth with my layout. (50 x 3 3/4x 30). This ball is great to throw after my dragon Solid has become to much. This core/cover combo is one you don't want to miss!
Open the box, the colors on the serpent were great very vivid dark green and black logo stands out in gold as my PSO to drill it a little mid lane and snappy on the back end. This ball did not disappoint through a 241 out of box very smooth roll definitely has some back in power drive through the pins would be a ball first out of your bag a transition ball probably a little dryer. Laine would be better not fresh oil again super excited love the ball. Looking forward to more games.
The answer to the question is both, the Serpent hybrid is the perfect compliment to the Dragon. Its like the Dragon Solid and Dragon Pearl had a baby. When my solid is getting a little to rolly and coming late but the pearl is coming off the spot to hard and ringing that 10 pin, the serpent is answer. It gets through the heads super clean while getting into its motion and then off the spot turns, drvies and blows the 10 out. Quickly has become my favorite ball in the bag, cant wait to get it out for some tournaments.
Good afternoon everyone. This ball is a must have in your arsenal. Weather it's on the fresh or if the lanes are burnt up. This ball will do it all. My layout is 45 x 4 1/4 x 35. Thats the layout I use on all my asem balls. This ball has the brand new AP26 cover stock with a serpent core. It will read the mid lane very well amd a predictable backend. This is a must have in every bowlers bag. It's got to ball to start. You can check out my ball review on my YouTube channel. @Stinger10pin This ball is definitely worth the wait. Like i said. This ball reads the backend with a very controllable backend. So grab yours today and start striking.
The SWAG Serpent Hybrid sits right in the sweet spot between control and punch. With a hybrid cover that balances traction and continuation, this ball gets into the oil early and still fights back late — exactly what you want when the pattern starts to shift but isn’t totally dried out. On typical house conditions it reads the midlane nicely, picks up through the breakpoint, and delivers a strong, continuous motion into the pocket. It doesn’t roll out early, but it also won’t surprise you with a late, violent snap — it’s smooth, confident, and dependable. For league nights where you need a versatile ball that works from fresh to mid-transition without creating chaos, the Serpent Hybrid delivers consistent entry angles and good pin carry. Bottom Line: A balanced hybrid with traction where you need it and backend energy you can trust — a versatile option for moving inside as conditions tighten.
SWAG’s first asymmetrical hybrid fits perfectly between the Dragon Solid and the Dragon Pearl, delivering an ideal blend of both reactions. It’s noticeably tamer than the Dragon Pearl yet more responsive than the Dragon Solid — and with the addition of the AP26 additive in the coverstock, its backend motion is stronger and more defined than either of them. Pick this one up and you’ll have the perfect three‑ball setup, ready to handle virtually any condition.
The Swag's new Serpent Hybrid is a must-have in every bowler's arsenal. It features the innovative AP26 cover stock and a new Serpent core, making it versatile for different lane conditions. Whether you're bowling on a fresh house shot or a challenging sport shot, this ball performs exceptionally well. I personally laid mine out at number 5 in the 2ls system to my pin to pap, and it reads the mid lane effectively with a controlled backend motion. The new cover stock provides the much-needed friction on heavy and long oil patterns. As a powerhouse ball, the Serpent Hybrid complements the Black Dragon Solid and is sure to become a staple in every bowler's bag. Its enduring performance ensures it will be a favorite for years to come. Try it out and experience the perfection of the Swag's Serpent Hybrid.
SWAG BOWLING ARE MAKING SOME BIG MOVES FOR 2026! THE SERPENT HYBRID IS A GAP FILLER FOR ME. THE SERPENT HYBRID FITS FOR ME IN BETWEEN THE BLACK DRAGON SOLID AND THE BLACK DRAGON PEARL. THE BLACK DRAGON SOLID IS BETTER FOR HEAVIER OIL PATTERNS AND THE BLACK DRAGON PEARL IS BETTER FOR AFTER THE LANES TRANSITION WITH THE LANES BEING DRIER. THE SERPENT HYBRID IS THAT TRANSITION BALL. MY BLACK DRAGON SOLID IS DRILLED 60X4.5X25. MY SERPENT HYBRID IS DRILLED 55X4.25X25 AND MY BLACK DRAGON PEARL IS DRILLED PIN DOWN 35X4 3/8X70. SO GETTING INTO THE SPECS FOR THE SERPENT HYBRID, PART OF THE SUPERIOR PERFORMANCE LINE WITH THE COVERSTOCK ADDITIVE AP26 SERIUM HYBRID! 15 LBS 2.51 RG .048 DIFF SLIGHTLY LOWER THAN THE DRAGON SERIES AND .016 MASS BIAS SLIGHTLY LOWER THAN THE DRAGON SERIES AS WELL.THIS IS A PRETTY COLOR BALL! JADE/EMERALD
Serpent - Drilled 55 x 5 x 25 - Changed Surface to 2k. I love the Dragon and while a slight modification of core and being hybrid, its first impression is a great step down from the Dragon and blends transition patterns well and just sees the spot the right way. The Serpent will quickly find its place in your bag with that familiar Dragon motion but great in the transition
I am a mid speed rev dominant bowler. On a fresh house shot this ball is amazing. I threw from 30 to to 5 and it snaps off the break and to the pocket. In my opinion it is stronger than the dragon line. If you bowl on flooded lanes or a long pattern sport shot this is the ball you need to pull out first.
SWAG has done it once again. The all new SWAG Serpent Hybrid has a powerful Asymmetrical core with the new AP26 coverstock. Strong off of the oil it slithers into the pocket with a 4000 abalone surface. This ball doesnt need adjusted. It just needs drilled. House shot leagues or sport shot patterns there will always be a place for this inside your arsenal. The AP26 cover brings you the consistency you need and the durability you demand. Protecting not just your average but your overall investment. SWAG brings you superior performance at an affordable price to keep you at your best without burning a hole in your pocket. Do not let this slither on by. Order yours today and find out for yourself.
The Dragon Solid and Judge Solid have long been my go‑to options on fresh oil thanks to their strong asymmetrical cores and aggressive solid covers, giving me early traction, midlane control, and a predictable motion. Their drawback, however, is how quickly they can become too strong as the lanes transition, often forcing me to ball down earlier than I’d prefer. That need for a smoother, more versatile option led me to the Serpent Hybrid. Built with the Serpent core and the Serum cover enhanced by the AP26 hybrid additive, I originally added it as a transition piece, but it quickly proved far more adaptable. The hybrid cover gives me added length compared to my stronger solids while maintaining a continuous, reliable backend motion. It clears the fronts cleanly, reads the midlane without jumping, and drives through the pocket with consistency. What stands out most is how long I can stay in this ball—often from the fresh through later games with only small adjustments. It blends the lane exceptionally well, handles carrydown better than expected, and offers a stable, confident shape. The Serpent Hybrid has become one of the most dependable and flexible pieces in my lineup, equally effective as a transition ball or a first‑ball‑out option when I want a cleaner look without sacrificing motion or hitting power.
This ball will surprise many of you that liked the Dragon series! I own a Black Dragon Pearl and I found that the Serpent is a few feet earlier and has a smoother shape than the Black Dragon Pearl. The addition of AP26 adds a tremendous punch and a noticeable difference from last year!
I have this ball drilled 55 x 4.25 x 30. Left handed. P.A.P 4.5 over and 1/2 down. For me this ball reacts differently in a good way! Gets through the fronts with ease. Reads the mids really well and not too early. On the back end is where I notice a difference from other balls in the line (Black Dragon and Dragon Pearl). It has a sharper more defined backend reaction when it sees friction. The thing just rolls while building and storing power. No deflection and it just wrecks the pins with drive and force. The AP26 additive is going to be a game changer for Swag!
I just want to start out by saying from front to back, side to side I don’t care how you look at it. This ball with the AP26 cover stock absolutely gives you the best of the best in all worlds. This ball is made and I personally have thrown on medium to heavy oil shots. When this ball reaches the breaking point it will move. The movement on this ball is unreal and filthy! I would say this could be the best ball of the season by any distributor or ball manufacturer. Again, this is my personal opinion of the ball. Please pick yourself up one and see for yourself!!
The Serpent Hybrid delivered strong performance on both fresh THS and used THS conditions. Out of the gate, this ball offers good length and a confident, aggressive motion off the spot on fresh oil, making it a great choice when you need early mid lane engagement without flipping too hard through the pins. For my style, the Serpent Hybrid felt more angular than the Dragon series, likely due to the new AP26 coverstock — it gives you that added bite and sharper move into the breakpoint without sacrificing control. On used THS patterns, the ball struggled slightly in the carry-down early on, but once I stepped right and worked it more into friction, it truly came alive — reading the lane well and driving through the pocket with authority. One of the best qualities of this ball is that it creates plenty of miss room on both fresh and broken-down conditions, which is invaluable when patterns flatten out or become unpredictable. Visually, the Serpent Hybrid looks great — I love the green swirls and detailed serpent logo, which really pop on the approach. For me, this will be a frequent first ball out of the bag during league night, and a strong transition option in tournaments as the lanes begin to shape and oil moves down. A very versatile and confident-feeling addition to the arsenal. My stats: • ~250 RPMs • ~13 mph ball speed • 5 1/4” over and 1/2” up PAP • Drilled at 60/5/30 Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V3sxdc2xkOI
The Swag Serpent Hybrid is a powerful bowling ball with incredible continuation. As a SWAG staffer I have thrown the majority of the SWAG releases for the last 4 years and this ball is better than anything from the company I have thrown yet. This ball and the other news releases have to AP26 additive cover stock that makes a huge difference over previous releases. I have all my balls drilled 4x4x1 (pretending they are all asymmetrical - this one is) to give me the length I want bowling on standard house shots at both my houses using 24 ml’s of oil at 42 feet. Being a lefty I can take this ball right over the 5 board on a new pattern and move inside throwing over the 12 to 15 board breaking about at 6 in transition. I have moved to a 13 pound ball due to age and this ball still is very heavy through the pins. I throw at about 14.2 mph with rev’s at about 320. Another advantage of the SWAG line of balls is the top end balls have the same core 12 to 16 pounds which allows bowlers with weight limitations to still throw the stronger cores! Overall a lot to like here with the Serpent. There is no deflection for a ball out of box at 4000 grit and I could see those throwing 16 to 17 mph talking this ball surface to 2500 to 3000! Looking forward to drilling up the next arrivals! SWAG has moved into new territory with this ball and look forward to knocking down a lot of pins!
The Swag Serpent is a new ball that has the new AP26 additive to its cover stock. What that does is fill in the blemishes and voids to the cover to create more surface. Which in turns creates more friction on the lane and more hook and hitting power. This ball is great for heavier oil patterns or fresh league shots
The Serpent Has Definitely Lives Up To It's Name, With The All New Ap²⁶ Coverstock Technology Sheesh This Ball Is Smooth The The Heads And Mids But Once It Sees Friction Man This Ball Really Jumps Off The Spot Creating A Monster Backend Ball As It Sherds Through The Pins .. This Ball Could Be Definitely A Benchmark Ball To Have As You Can Play Inside & Outside On The Lanes Perfect For. A Hpuse Shot Killer Definitely Something To Have In Your Bag #PutSomeSwagInYourBag
This is a great ball to have in the bag! Gives you a good midlane read with an explosive back end and hits the pins like a truck! I can use this ball on fresh an through transition. Definitely a ball to look into!
SWAG staffer here—thrilled to see the Superior Performance Line level up with the Serpent Hybrid. Building on the Black Dragon's massive success, this pairs the new Serpent Asymmetric core (2.51 RG, .048 diff, .016 MB) with Serum AP26 Hybrid cover (4000 Abralon finish) for enhanced downlane motion and that signature powerful midlane-to-backend snap. Pro shop feedback and trials show it's a benchmark for speed > revs bowlers: cleaner through the fronts, strong recovery without losing control, and killer continuation on heavier volumes. Balanced players also rave about the forgiveness and pin carry. At this price point, it's unbeatable value—SWAG delivering high-end results again. If you're speed-dominant or need a reliable transition piece, grab the Serpent before it's gone!
this ball is one that you are gonna want in your bag, i have mine drilled 50x4x50, i took the surface to 2000 as i do with most stuff, i took recommendation from charles hutchinson in his video and let me say ball is really strong and controllable, my ball speed is around 16-17 mph and was able to play 20 to the gutter with ease and still had a a very strong motion to the pins, and it don't stop or roll out it keeps trucking with continuation, but also with the right hand position i was able to move right and play straighter when needed, this will be more than likely the first ball out of my bag for the foreseeable future
The SWAG Serpent Hybrid adds to an already stacked lineup in the Superior Line of balls. SWAG staff and fans who have liked their Black Dragon Solid or Pearl or the motions they've seen will love what the Serpent brings. Drilling this 60 x 4.5 x 30, I was able to get a perfect blend of the length of the Pearl while still getting a slightly early read like the Solid. What sets the Serpent apart from the Dragon line is the new AP26 additive that SWAG introduced. AP26 on the Serpent adds a more defined backend motion that many bowlers typically look for. If you are thinking about a first time SWAG purchase, the Serpent should not disappoint!
New Serpent from Swag is dynamite. With the AP26 additive they added to the cover stock gives it more surface area to create friction on the lane with explosive hook and hitting power. Swag nailed it with this.
I chose this ball because it was supposed to be the perfect complement to the Black Dragon. I was late to the game purchasing a Black Dragon, but once I did, it quickly became the first ball out of my bag. Now that the Serpent is in the picture, how will I ever decide. I have had the opportunity to throw four complete games with this ball going back-to-back 215’s followed by a 229 and 246. The down lane motion of this ball is great when you are looking for more length before the powerful backend reaction. I can’t wait to get more games on this ball and use this in tournaments in other venues and varying lane conditions. Will be looking to complete the 1, 2, 3 punch of the Black Dragon, Serpent Hybrid, and Dragon Pearl.
If you’re looking for a strong, versatile hybrid that handles volume while staying readable, the Swag The Serpent absolutely delivers. Performance on the Lanes The Serpent is great for heavy to medium oil conditions. It creates a responsive reaction downlane, but what really stands out is how readable it is through the midlane. You can see the motion develop without it being jumpy or unpredictable. It gives you confidence to open up your angles while still maintaining control. Drilling Layout & Ball Motion I drilled mine 75 x 4 3/4 x 75, and this layout allows the ball to blend out the pattern extremely well. It transitions smoothly from midlane to backend without overreacting to friction. Even when moving left and sending it right, it keeps its shape and doesn’t lose energy. Most importantly — it does not lose any hitting power. The continuation through the pins is excellent, and it drives hard through the deck. Arsenal Fit The Serpent is a great hybrid complement to both the: • Black Dragon Solid • Black Dragon Pearl It slots perfectly between those two. When the Solid starts reading too early and the Pearl is a bit too clean, The Serpent bridges that gap with the ideal blend of traction and pop. Final Thoughts The Swag The Serpent is a strong, controllable hybrid that handles oil, blends patterns, and still brings serious hitting power. If you need a reliable piece for heavier conditions that won’t surprise you off the spot, this one deserves a spot in your bag.
Used the Serpent first time Monday night league. My goodness, this ball just destroyed the pins. Shot 676 first time out of the box and it would have been 700+ if I didn't flub three 10 pins and have a bad first game. This core is designed to replicate the shape of symmetrical cores but with a larger intermediate differential, provides an ideal balance of control and power. This ball was very controllable for me and I had no issue at all with erratic behavior down lane as the lanes transitioned. The Serpent give you the smooth, dependable motion of symmetrical balls with the increased hitting power of a large asym core. Cant wait to get out there and roll it again. When this Serpent Strikes, the pins die of fright.
So after throwing over ten games I learned this ball can be used to swing or in the words of Mr. Duke, straighter is greater. As someone who usually prefers a pearl ball, I really am liking what this hybrid is bring to the table when the pearl doesn't cut it. Additionally, I have used the ball OOB, and sanded to 3000 grit, then 2000 grit, and all allows this ball to give the bowler different striking reaction depending on the lanes.
had the chance to roll the Swag Serpent, and the first thing that stood out was how effortlessly it finds the pocket. It almost feels like the ball has a magnet — whether I’m playing straight up the boards or moving inside, it holds its line without overreacting. The Serpent is very similar to the Dragon Solid (2025), but there are some key differences. The biggest upgrade is the new AP26 coverstock. For me, the response off friction and the backend motion are outstanding. The ball clears the front part of the lane with ease and makes a strong, controlled move through the pins. Another noticeable difference is how it handles lane transition. With the Dragon Solid, once the lanes started to dry up, the ball would begin to burn up. I haven’t seen that issue with the Serpent Hybrid — it maintains energy and keeps driving through the pins much longer. Bottom line: this is a ball you need in your bag. House Shot Killer is the perfect headline for it.
I personally loved the ball OOB(Out of Box) very clean motion through the heads and lots of backend motion. The serpent saves lots of energy for the back part of the lane and really carries. Most House shots will fit this ball very well. I do after several games put the surface at around 2000 and holy smokes the way this ball reads the lanes is better than any Swag ball I have thrown to date. I am a high speed low rev rate guy and I have no problem getting this ball to hook. Great job SWAG.
This ball gives me the best look when on my fresh house shot. Holds if i miss in, and still drives through the pins and even when I do miss outside to the gutter, doesn't scream off the friction and give a nice reaction! this is a must have!
The main thing I can say about the serpent is that it is forgiving, very forgiving. It's a somewhat shiny asymmetrical ball that has good length and reads friction well. While it is not a ball that's going to flip completely sideways at the breakpoint it's going to give you good pop with pocket control. The new swag stuff has that new ap26 cover and it really does make a difference if you have not thrown other swag balls before. Overall a great ball and already have some amazing scores with it.
I am a big fan of asymmetrical balls, since they suit my game so well. The hybrid cover stock had me interested since it has the new ap26 additive. So when I got this ball my first game out it was a little long for my taste. I tend to like a more narrow line that is more in front of me. So I knocked the surface down to 2k and man has this ball been a blast to throw. If I want to keep the ball im front of me I can play board 13 and just let the ball hold and snap at the backend. If I want to open my line up I can and play board 5 and watch this thing curve back to the pocket. It really is one of my favorite balls to throw right now. My speed is around 14.5 at the backstop, I have around 350 rev rate with about 60 degrees axis rotation and 17 degrees axis tilt for reference. I was very high on the Judge and Judge Pearl and this ball may be better than both. Do yourself a favor and snatch one up, you wont regret it.
Purchased the ball, ball and put a lil different layout on it than im used to but wanted to tame it down a little l e due to my speed and rev rate Average speed is around 17-18 mph and rev around 500. I like to play the boards standing around 20 and throwing over third arrow. Drilled this ball pin down with right finger in pin 55x3and3/8x60 Layout gives the ball length down lane and plenty of continuation through the pin, out of box went 279 on a fresh house shot, ordered another one today to drill pin up to compare. A must have in your bag for high rev, high speed bowlers.
The Swag Serpent Hybrid is one of those balls that quietly earns a permanent spot in your bag. It may not always get the hype of bigger names, but on the lanes it absolutely delivers. I had mine drilled 80x5.25x50 to create a smoother, later reaction while still maintaining control. I’m not a fan of sharp, overly angular shapes, so this layout gives me exactly what I’m looking for — a clean look through the front with a controlled, predictable motion down lane. What’s impressive is how versatile this ball can be. A few of my teammates have theirs drilled stronger and more angular, and for them it looks fantastic — powerful, continuous, and responsive. That kind of adaptability says a lot about the core and cover combination. The AP26 additive in the new SWAG releases is also outstanding. It creates impressive traction and continuation without sacrificing consistency. Since the rebrand last year, SWAG has truly stepped up their game. These new releases are absolutely comparable to any major brand on the market. If you haven’t put some SWAG in your bag yet, you’re missing out.
This is possibly the best rolling ball that’s out it works great in transition I normally will throw this ball in the second or third game I throw it out between 13-15 board it gos out to 5 board and takes shape great and rolls up very smooth and hits hard it’s one of the best hybrid balls I have thrown I am normally a high rev bowler but this ball works great rather you have high rev or low rev it comes off the hand smooth and I have thrown it on a few different lane conditions and has been great I’m sure it will do great on sport shot though I can’t wait to have a chance so in conclusion it’s a great all around ball
SWAG Serpent is awesome on the lanes
Arizona,United States
This ball is the perfect mixture of length and power I have thrown it for a few games now and I can say without a doubt this ball is the perfect benchmark and should be first out of any bag!! With the mixture of the asymmetric serpent core and serum ap26 overstock this ball delivers a consistent read on what the lanes are doing and is controlled enough to make a decision to ball up or down or in most of the case for myself stay in this monster and rip up the racks if your thinking about putting one in your bag DO it will not disappoint and if you’ve thrown the dragon this ball is a perfect complement!!!!!!
With my normal ball speed around 14.5MPH and a rev rate around 275 I normally play outside lines whenever possible as that’s where I’m most comfortable, being a lefty. In the case of the Serpent and its Hybrid cover I wasn’t really sure what to expect. I had this drilled similar to my normal drilling, this time going with a 3 7/8 x 3 7/8 x1 layout which has allowed me to play slightly left of the 10 board, straighter up the lane and let it walk up to the pocket with ease. The asymmetric core with an RG of 2.51 & a differential of .048 and intermediate differential of .016 allows this ball to stay clean through the heads and midlane while packing a punch as it comes off the pattern. I haven’t been able to throw this on a sport condition yet, but I anticipate with the newly introduced AP26 additive that Swag has introduced with their newest releases and knowing what I’ve seen from other balls using it, I expect this ball to be much more versatile on more difficult shots as well. Nice job Swag Bowling!!
The SWAG Serpent showed up and showed out for me in the Southwest Tournament at NorthRock Lanes when I need help with a 227, 212, and a 213. From the moment I put it in my hand, I knew it was reading the lane the right way. The Serpent gave me a strong, predictable midlane motion without jumping off the friction. What impressed me most was how well it blended the wet/dry and kept me in the pocket when transition started creeping in. I could trust it to pick up in the midlane and still continue hard through the pins. The carry was outstanding — light mixers, strong corners, and powerful entry angle without feeling uncontrollable. When other pieces started to get a little sensitive, the Serpent stayed smooth and confident. If you’re looking for a ball that gives control without sacrificing hitting power, the SWAG Serpent is absolutely tournament ready and proven when it matters most.
The Swag Serpent is a standout piece that delivers explosive performance and dependable control. With its dynamic asymmetric core and aggressive coverstock combination, the Serpent shines on medium to heavy oil patterns, offering strong midlane traction and a sharp, continuous backend motion. It reads the lane exceptionally well, providing predictable ball motion that inspires confidence even in challenging conditions. The hook potential is impressive without feeling jerky, allowing bowlers to shape angles and attack the pocket with authority. What really sets the Serpent apart is its versatility—it transitions smoothly through different lane conditions and maintains hitting power throughout. If you’re seeking a reliable benchmark with plenty of bite and the ability to carry through the pins, the Swag Serpent is a powerful, high-performance choice worth adding to your equipment arsenal.
This ball hits like a truck. First thing I noticed was how it picked up in the midlane. The deeper I got on the lane the stronger it got. The ball still had a smooth reaction down lane and not a jerky reaction which makes its motion predictable and reliable. This one for lefties will be a must have
How do we even start with the Swag Serpent? The ball is just extremely good from top to bottom. Swag really nailed it with this coverstock — it matches up perfectly with the core and creates a reaction that is both predictable and powerful. The Serpent Hybrid is a great complement to the Dragon series, which was already one of their best and most trusted lines. I’ve seen the Serpent thrown by myself and by my PSO, and the reactions couldn’t look more different — and that’s the impressive part. He plays more up the lane and in, while I have a higher rev rate, higher ball speed, and create more angle. For both of us, the ball is very, very clean through the fronts and midlane, yet it still drives strong through the pins. I’m really looking forward to the next series from Swag. If they build off this momentum, people better watch out. Swag is carving out a real place for itself, and hearing other bowlers say the same thing shows they’re moving in the right direction. For a newer company rebuilding its name, that’s a great thing to see.

The SWAG Serpent Hybrid has quickly become one of the most reliable transition pieces in my bag. For me this ball is extremely clean through the front part of the lane, allowing me to stay in my comfort zone without worrying about early hook or burn up. It clears the heads with ease and gives me a smooth, readable motion in the midlane that never feels jumpy or over/under. What i really have noticed is how controlled the backend motion is. The Serpent Hybrid doesn’t snap violently off the spot, but it absolutely continues through the pins with authority. The backend shape is strong enough to carry, yet smooth enough to blend wet/dry conditions when the lanes start to break down. For my game it shines once there’s some friction developed and the stronger solids start reading too early. That’s where the Serpent Hybrid becomes money. It allows me to move left, open my angles, and trust that it will get down lane and still make a decisive move. If you’re looking for a dependable hybrid that offers length, control, and solid continuation, the Serpent Hybrid deserves a spot in your arsenal!!

The Swag Serpent complements my Dragon Solid well, particularly in high-friction house conditions. It clears the front part of the lane easily and provides a strong, controlled backend motion. The Serum AP26 coverstock offers a reliable blend of consistency and responsiveness as the lanes transition. I am a one-handed right-handed bowler, averaging 16 mph with approximately 430 RPM, and the 55×5×35 layout helps the ball retain energy and remain effective as breakdown occurs. Overall, the Serpent delivers dependable performance with appealing motion and strong visual presence, making it a solid option for bowlers seeking control and continuation. If you liked getting noticed this ball stands out on the rack with the beautiful pour. The ball just works is the best way to put it.

Great looking ball. Time to roll!!

The SWAG Serpent is a hybrid asymmetrical ball that features the new AP26 cover, and I honestly can’t put this ball down. I have mine drilled 60x5.5x30, and it reads—or should I say bites—the mid-lane extremely well while remaining continuous through the pocket. The reaction is strong yet predictable, which gives me a lot of confidence on the lanes. With the AP26 cover, I’m able to stay with this ball much longer than I could with previous equipment. I can compare it to the Black Dragon Pearl, but for me, the Serpent is a bit stronger overall—especially on the backend where it really shines. The biggest difference between the two, in my experience, is consistency. I’ve been able to stay with the Serpent for all three games during league play, whereas with the Black Dragon Pearl, I usually had to ball down by the second game, if not sooner. That AP26 cover is truly a game changer with these new releases from SWAG.
There is a reason this ball is green: It prints money. I went with my favorite layout of 60x5”x30 and was immediately impressed with how easy the ball revs up, it’s length and continuation. As I got more and more confident letting the ball go, it responded with stronger and more powerful shots, often sending the craziest messengers I’ve seen. Some of the strikes were extremely loud and immediately got people asking what ball I was throwing and a lot of comments from the gallery. This ball was likely intended to be a Black Dragon Hybrid before the invention of AP26 adhesion performance and it’s a whole new creature now all its own. The new coverstock additive has genuinely made a big difference in how this ball reacts and how much energy it retains. This ball works best for me on medium-heavy to medium-light conditions and has impressed me with its ability to blend difficult conditions and carrydown. It doesn’t shape quite the same as the Black Dragons that came before it but it definitely has that same hitting power, possibly even more and better control, even at 3000 grit. Taking the surface down may truly unleash this beast. By far one of my favorite releases from Swag Bowling.
The Serpent follows one of Swag's most well received lines in the Dragon Solid and Dragon Pearl. Adding the new AP26 additive to the Serpent coverstock has provided a boost in strength and recovery without sacrificing friction response. Similar to the other Dragons, the Serpent complements the Judge/Judgment lines really well with a partial step down in total board coverage and strength, but increasing backend shape when angle and carry are needed. Many league bowlers love watching a ball get down the lane and make a big move into the pocket, and the Serpent perfectly matches the eye for that type of motion. As someone who needs bigger equipment on tougher conditions, the Serpent slots in perfectly as my versatile big asym ball that provides a balanced blend of torque and control while still continuing through the pins with energy. Some of my college athletes asked to throw mine and were immediately impressed with the overall balance of the ball on tough conditions. For those who only want to carry a single big ball, this one has the versatility to serve as a pseudo-1 ball with surface, or a versatile ball that covers a range of needs when asym torque is required without getting too chuggy and early in the heads. My stats: 18mph/~450rpm/low axis tilt/med-high axis rotation Tested ball on THS, Kegel Arsenic, Kegel Eiffel Tower, USBC OC 2025 S/D, and 2023 ISC Nationals patterns.
The Swag Serpent has honestly become my favorite piece when I’m bowling on a house shot. As soon as I started throwing it, I could tell it was built for this condition. It gets through the front part of the lane super clean for me, then picks up strong in the midlane and makes a hard, confident move off the spot. What I love most is how much miss room it gives me—I can leak it left or tug it a bit right, and it still finds the pocket. It lets me open up my angles and stay aggressive without worrying about overreaction. When I need strikes on a typical house shot, this is the ball I trust.
Style: traditional 1 handed righty Rev rate: 420 Speed: 17 mph The Swag Serpent Hybrid definitely suits its name. As a hybrid it gives length when a solid ball can’t and has a sneaky backend. At times when I feel I let this ball go out too far, it seems to always make its way back to the head pin. And when I tug the shot in, it seems to like to hold in the oil. I would place this ball between the Swag Unreal and the Swag Apex Pearl. If you need a hybrid ball that works well in the transition and is easy to control, this is the one for you! This is a house shot killer. Get yours today!
The Serpent I drilled 50 x 4.5 x 25 I’m equally matched with ball speed a rev rate I throw the ball 17.5 with a rev rate of 501. This ball is an extreme monster I love the way it reads the front and on the backend gives you that continuous motion through the pins. For me I can say I have used this ball in leagues and haven’t had to move from my start point. Definitely a 1-2. Punch with the dragon solid.
I have bowled SWAG for a few years and have amassed quite a wide variety of balls. This one instantly caught my eye. The green and black give this ball almost a deep jade look that truly looks like you're holding a work or art in your hand(s). This ball is everything I wanted it to be. Can play down and in or belly the ball out. No matter what I do, this ball just crushes the pins. No matter what game I'm in, I haven't found anything this ball can't tackle. I typically play between the 2nd and 3rd arrow and needed something that could be a little sharper when turning and I found it here. When it turns, I swear the pins jump out of the way. Almost like they're afraid of what's about to happen. SWAG hit it out of the park with this ball!
