Did not like the fact that in contacting swag explaining all my details of bowling and not getting answer on drilling ideas as I am new to these cores. I little help would have been nice.

The SWAG Unreal Solid is an absolute powerhouse built for control and heavy traction when the lanes are fresh and demanding. With its aggressive solid cover enhanced by AP26 additive and a strong symmetrical core, this ball reads the midlane early and delivers a heavy, continuous motion that refuses to quit through the pins.
What stands out most is the balance between strength and predictability — it digs into the oil without burning up, giving you a big, confident shape that keeps driving instead of rolling out. Whether you’re facing high-volume conditions or just need something that blends out wet/dry patterns, the Unreal Solid gives you a strong read with reliable continuation.
This ball is the perfect symmetric piece and allows me to play deeper than the original unreal has it is about 4 boards stronger to me but with the same reliable motion if your a tournament bowler you definitely need one in your bag
Chefs Kiss! Love the ball to start out with! Medium Speed and Revs player. This ball reads early and hits the pocket beautifully! Has a ton of hook and holds on to energy! Lots of control without feeling like I am sacrificing power. 10/10
The SWAG Unreal Solid Bowling Ball is a great ball for heavy oil. For reference, my ball layout is 70 x 3.5 x 20. I am a medium speed, low to medium rev bowler. This ball is the first one out of the bag when I know I am going to be dealing with heavy oil. It gets through the fronts easily and stores up enough energy to continue through the pins without burning up. This ball allows me to stay aggressive when I need to be.
I think this ball plays perfectly off the first one which is also a solid but polished it’s a lot cleaner with the new unreal you get more friction with the new cover so it’s much stronger and covers more overall boards but still has that backend to get the corners out if you are looking for a first ball out of the bag on the heavier oil this is the one you need!
The SWAG Unreal Solid is a powerhouse engineered for maximum traction on fresh, demanding oil. By pairing an aggressive solid coverstock with the specialized AP26 additive and a potent symmetrical core, this ball provides an early midlane read and a relentless, driving motion through the pins.
What sets the Unreal Solid apart is its exceptional energy retention. While many high-friction balls tend to "roll out" or lose steam early, this combination digs into high-volume patterns while maintaining enough continuation to kick the corners. Whether you are navigating heavy sport patterns or need to blend out a tricky wet/dry house shot, it delivers a big, predictable shape you can trust. It is the perfect balance of raw strength and reliable, continuous hook

Drilled 50 x 4 x 30
For the purpose of this review, I was bowling on a fresh house shot that was a medium to dry condition. I’m more speed dominant, throwing about 15.5mph, with a medium rev rate. I typically play down-and-in, targeting between 5 and 15, depending on lane condition.
Even though the ball is drilled fairly strong, I was able to stick with the ball for the entire night. All I had to do was move my feet left and target further inside, and play a little bit straighter with a small “belly.” Compared to the OG Unreal (with the polish removed), this one read earlier (2 feet maybe), and still finished strong. If you’re looking for a predictable and smooth reaction, then look no further. This ball would be a great fit for you.

Need a ball for traction in heavy oil? Look no further as this ball will amaze you with its ability to hook in the thickest part of the oil. Whether you are not a heavy house shot or a high volume sport shot, this ball has an answer for you with back end power that you normally don't see from traction style balls.
Most balls with a traction shape lose continuation once they exit the pattern. This ball however continues hard through the pin deck and finishes high flush. I was able to throw this beast on my medium heavy house shot and was able to strike from outside and inside with no problem.
Keep it in the oil because if you don't, it is going to burn up.
The SWAG Unreal Solid is a dependable mid-range power piece that gives you control and backend reaction without being overly aggressive. It sits in that sweet spot where it’s strong enough to handle medium to medium-heavy oil but smooth enough to use on a variety of patterns without overwhelming your angles.
Reaction & Motion:
Right out of the box, the Unreal Solid rolls clean through the heads and builds energy smoothly through the midlane. It doesn’t burn up early, and when it gets to the breakpoint it transitions with a controlled, predictable move — no sudden snap or violent ball motion. This makes it easier to stay consistent from shot-to-shot.
Control:
What stands out most about the Unreal Solid is how balanced it feels. You get strong continuation off the spot, but it isn’t overly skid-flip-grab. That means you can keep angles, play tighter lines, and still see carry.
Versatility:
This isn’t a one-trick pony. On patterns where you want your ball to dig in and create a reliable breakpoint, the Unreal Solid delivers. It’s great as a go-to mid-range piece on league night and can also shine on sport patterns where control is key.
For Who:
Bowlers who like to beat no-taper or lightly tapered balls but want more backend than a pearl will enjoy this. It complements a polished piece well and gives you a dependable option before moving to something more aggressive.
Summary:
• Clean through the heads
• Smooth midlane motion
• Strong, predictable backend
• Great for medium to medium-heavy oil
If you want a dependable, controllable solid that still pushes back at the end, the SWAG Unreal Solid is worth having in your bag.
Unreal Solid - Drilled 60 x 4.25 x 25 and identical laid out like original Unreal and surface is 2k modified. If you have used the Unreal, this is a must have if you want 2 feet sooner in reaction and this has the same look going through the pin deck. Many versatile options to this and the cover adjusts well to sand and polish. The colors on this pop and makes this a strong and predictable symmetrical motion.

As a rev-dominant bowler, I put a layout of 60x4.5x40. The ball is a monster down lane and through the pins. Light hits explode, and even slightly errant shots somehow find a way to drive through the rack, leaving a resounding thump and a satisfying messenger every time. This ball out of box is very strong. For me, it reads a few feet earlier than the original, and finishes very strong. If you are rev-dominant and are looking for a strong ball through the pin deck, look at the UNREAL Solid with AP 26.
The original Unreal has been a benchmark-type ball for me, so I drilled the new Unreal Solid with the same layout and adjusted both surfaces to 3000 grit for a true apples-to-apples comparison. I find the Unreal Solid is about 3–4 boards stronger with an earlier, smoother reaction shape on a fresh THS. It reads the lane sooner but stays controlled through the breakpoint, giving me a very predictable motion. What really stood out was how well the Unreal Solid held its surface. After three games, the cover still looked consistent with minimal visible change. In comparison, my original Unreal showed some lane shine over the same set.
I see the Unreal Solid becoming my first ball out of the bag for league. As the oil breaks down later in the night, I can transition to the original Unreal for added length and a slightly weaker overall reaction. Together, they make a perfect 1–2 combo for any league bowler.

The Unreal Solid absolutely shined on used THS patterns, especially when carry-down was present. This ball gave me tons of traction through the midl ane and backend, allowing it to cut through oil beautifully and still roll smoothly into the pins. The aggressive motion and strong continuation are unmistakable — likely a result of the new AP26 coverstock — and it finishes with authority.
On fresh THS oil, the ball didn’t immediately show its best until I stepped left and worked it deeper into the oil, proving that it wants to be in the right part of the lane to unlock its power. Once dialed in, it reads the oil and transitions into a powerful, controlled motion.
Compared to the original Unreal, this Solid is a significant step down — the older version is noticeably shinier out of the box, while the Unreal Solid has a much more rounded, confident shape that handles oil exceptionally well.
This ball is aggressive, predictable, and built to perform — making it an excellent choice for tournament conditions or heavier oil patterns. In typical league play it might be a bit stout unless the pattern is really pushing down, but if you need a ball that sticks when others skid and gives you recovery and carry, the Unreal Solid will earn its place in your bag.
And of course — the vibrant colors look fantastic rolling down the lane!
My stats:
• ~250 RPMs
• ~13 mph ball speed
• 5 1/4” over and 1/2” up PAP
• Drilled at 50/4.5/30

My layout is 4.25x5x1.25. This Swag ball is the first out of my bag. It is really aggressive on the lanes. This ball has can recover very well if you miss a board or two outside of your mark. I like the control that this ball gives. The unreal does roll earlier and has an aggressive back end. I love the over all shape of this ball.
Ball Speed: 16
Rev rate: 325
PAP: 3 ¾ over ¾ up
Tilt: ~15-20
Rotation: ~45
Layout: 30x4x40
Great Ball for fresh medium to longer patterns. I bought this as a symmetrical solid that can traction on medium heavier patterns while being smoother and more continuous than a big asymmetrical solid.
This ball fits in the 2 spot of my bag perfectly, complimenting the original Unreal with earlier traction and continuation, while still being smoother and more controllable than the Judge and Dragon. Going to be my go-to ball on fresher challenge and tournament conditions.
Ball shines at straighter angles because of the response to friction and slower controllable shape, but still maintains energy to go through the pins exceptionally well. It can be used at steeper angles, but different layout and surface may be needed.
This ball does what it is designed to do. If you are looking for a symmetrical solid to benchmark the lanes, this will fit that spot. The Unreal Solid has a very controllable roll that you can trust. This is the "biggest" symmetrical solid that SWAG offers and it does not disappoint on heavier or longer patterns. If you bowl on sport shots or tougher patterns where keeping a ball in front of you is your game or what the lanes call for, there may not be a better ball from Swag than the Unreal Solid.
This ball will do it all. Anytime you can break your benchmark ball out first you know your doing something right. You can dial down the speed a touch for fresh oil or speed up to hit the pocket hard. I normally throw down the 8 board and destroy the pocket. Wonderful control in the front lane and desired power on the back end. Swag has elevated its game once again! You need this ball!
I just punched the Unreal Solid up today and took it out in league. First impressions…. This ball looks amazing. I went with my usual symmetrical 45x4x40 layout. This ball is very versatile. I stayed around 30 with my feet for the entirety of game 1 and most of game 2. Letting the ball roll forward it cleared the heads and stood up on time perfectly through the midlane. Have you ever felt like the ball was doing all of the work as long as you go it somewhere near your target? That’s what the Unreal Solid does. Fresh oil, no problem, moving left in transition, ball still shapes and hits with power. I’m excited to see what this ball does on a bit more volume, but for the average league night this ball is going to be a staple for a very long time. I’d recommend this ball for speed dominant, balanced, and rev dominant bowlers. It’s so versatile I moved a total of 3 boards all night. You won’t be disappointed picking this one up!

I'm a senior bowler that throws the ball at about 14 1/2 mph with about a 275 rev rate with about a 215 average. I am also a coach and trainer and enjoy nothing more than growing the game of bowling.
I'm a typical down & in old guy that loves what I'm seeing from the Unreal Solid. I had mine drilled with the pin up about 2 1/4" and slightly kicked out from my ring finger. I completely enjoyed the original Unreal which was released last year and had a good number of honor scores with it. The Unreal Solid is drilled almost identically and I took a 2k pad to it lightly as is my customary path. The Unreal Solid with the new AP26 additive, just introduced this month, is reading the midlanes very well and when it turns the corner, the continuation is hard to believe. It hits hard!
Much like the original Unreal this ball will be very versatile, allowing bowlers to adjust what they want to see with different surface adjustments or layouts. Take a look, you won't be disappointed!!

The Unreal Solid with AP26 takes the very underrated Unreal up about 10 notches. This ball sees the lane better than any ball I have ever thrown. It doesn't over commit when coming off the oil, but instead finds its way to the pocket with a very strong continuous motion. I'm happy to say that this ball was the first 300 out of the new line for me, and it deserves it!
I have thrown this ball for a little over 15 games now. Out of the box the colors on this ball absolutely pop. I have min drilled with my pin directly above my bridge to mimic my original unreal and let me tell you this ball delivered it is about 4 boards stronger than my original unreal and it is exactly what I was looking for. This ball is a great heavy oil ball because the never quit ap26 cover stock grips the lane so good this ball absolutely rips through the pocket. It will fit any bowler speed dominate it still gets to the pocket, rev dominate it holds long enough to control. You need this if your a tournament bowler or enjoy aggressive equipment trust me
This ball...I got this one strictly off the strength that the OG unreal is one of my all time favorites. This ball does not directly corollate to that one in my eyes. Its very early and chuggy, more of a front to back motion rather than left to right on house shots. I haven't had the chance to use it on patterns but I will soon. If you are looking for a big solid to use on heavier volume look no futher. My first set with this beauty was 759 in which the second game I had front 9 and left a 7 pin. It has won its money back on more. I can say I will have multiples of this one just like my first unreal. If you are not a fan of slower reaction I would say get the original unreal. But this ball will be a good one for volume.

Greetings, I have the privilege of representing Swag. This time I come to you with my review of the Unreal Solid. Now I know what you’re thinking, isn’t our original a solid? Well yes and no. The original was a 1500-grit solid that was wrapped in factory polish. This one is a 3000-grit solid wrapped in our new AP26. What that is, is our optimized adhesion designed to create a stronger chemical bond with the lane surface and the coverstock. Let me tell you as someone who has manipulated the surface on the original to see a different ball motion this new cover is a game changer! It does just as advertised. Cuts right through the heads cleanly and a strong turn on the backend without overhooking. Its great for opening the lane up on a fresh shot. This is a strong symmetrical ball. I found it very controllable and the hook to be predictable. I normally prefer solid colors but this one was easy to read going down the lane and reaching the breakpoint. With it being a solid don’t expect it to lose any hitting power as it makes it’s turn to the pocket. When it hits the hole, it keeps the pins low. So, you can expect good carry. To compare this to the 2025 Unreal in my opinion its overall stronger and rounder. It will go into its transition earlier even with the 3000-grit solid finish. This core and cover combination was great for me in league when the volume was heavier than normal. I was able to use it all 3 games. I would highly recommend this for someone needing a great league ball or possible benchmark depending on the volume you see in a tournament. Put some Swag in your bag!
IF YOU'RE ASKING. WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE NEW SOLID AND THE OG UNREAL FROM A YEAR AGO? OR WHICH ONE SHOULD YOU BUY? I WOULD SAY THAT THE OG REAL PLAYS LONGER AND MORE OF A SNAPPY BACKEND AND THE NEW UNREAL SOLID WOULD BE EARLIER AND SMOOTHIER IN MY OPINION. THE THING IS. YOU CAN ALSO CHANGE BALL ROLL WITH LAYOUTS AND ENHANCE THE SHAPES. I HAVE MY OG DRILLED 60X4.5X30 AND THE NEW UNREAL SOLID DRILLED 55X4.25X40. I AM A SENIOR BOWLER. BALL SPEED ABOUT 15.5 MPH AND REV RATE ABOUT 350. I ENJOY PLAYING DOWN AND IN WITH A LITTLE BELLY TO THE SHAPE. I FEEL THIS COULD BE A GREAT PLACE TO PLAY WITH BOTH OF THESE BALLS. THE SOLID ON THE FRESH OIL AND THE OG DURING TRANSITION. BOTH OF THESE BALLS ARE GREAT BUYS!
Im a high rev and high speed bowler, I had this ball laid out to get through the Mid's and store energy but didn't know just how much energy would be stored.
This ball is an absolute MONSTER if it's drilled correctly.
Out of box went 279 and never missed either pocket, I will be ordering another one.
This ball I drilled 45x4x35 and this thing here is an absolute monster! Compared to the OG Unreal, it’s a smoother but earlier read while still maintaining that Unreal shape. The OG was shiny solid that was clean through the fronts but extremely angular in the back end. This ball has the same shape, but an earlier read and more predictable. It’s ideal to be a Game 1 ball in a higher friction setting or even a transition option in a heavier oil/volume environment. With the new AP26 additive, it is able to fight through over/under reactions, blend the lane out, and still maintain enough energy to go continuously through the pins. If you’re in the market for a perfect step down from the Judge Solid, this is the way to go!
I recently picked up this bowling ball, and I have to say, it’s been a game changer for me, especially on heavy oil. I was really surprised by how well it hooks even in the thickest oil conditions. It’s become my go-to for sport shots, and it helped me finally break into the top 10 on the plutonium oil pattern and chromium.
This weekend, I’m planning to use it on the Chameleon pattern, and I’m confident it will hold up just as well. What really stands out to me is the back-end power; it’s not something you typically see with traction-style balls. Most balls lose their drive after they exit the pattern, but this one just keeps going and finishes strong.
I was able to play from both the outside and inside on a medium-heavy house shot with no issues. It’s crucial to keep it in the oil, though—if you stray too far, it can burn up quickly. Overall, the Ap26 technology really delivers on this ball. If you're looking for something that can handle heavy oil conditions and still provide a strong finish, this is definitely worth considering!
The SWAG Unreal Solid is exactly what you want when you need a ball that reads the lane and keeps going through the pins. The Unreal core paired with the Never Quit AP26 solid cover gives this ball a strong mid-lane read without making it jumpy downlane. It picks up where you expect it to, rolls smooth, and keeps driving continuously through the pocket. What I like most about it is how predictable it is—you can really see what the lane is doing and make adjustments with confidence. The RG and differential combination help it rev up nicely while still staying controlled. Overall, it’s a great benchmark-type ball that handles medium to heavier oil and gives you a strong, reliable motion when you need it most.
Right of the box, the Unreal Solid reads the lane very early. That would be the first thing you see in it. The cover stock gives the ball a smooth and very predictable motion in the mid-lane. Its not snappy or an overreacting ball either. What stands out the most in this ball is overall consistency. This is the first ball out of my bag currently with how predictable it is. The Unreal is a very dependable, smooth-reacting ball that excels in heavier oil and provides great control. If you are looking for something strong yet predictable, this is a solid option to your arsenal. You wont be disappointed the more games you get on it. Just keeps on getting better every night i throw it.
When I was looking for a great “benchmark” ball I seen the numbers on the Unreal Solid and knew it would fit my game perfectly. The Ball is better than I thought. It gives me that nice round and controllable shape I like to see in the middle of my bag. I have mine drilled 4 ¼*25. I know what the ball is going to do every time I throw it. The Green and Blue with the yellow name fits my eye. The Unreal Solid is a great compliment to the original Unreal. This is a ball you can put your favorite layout on it. This has quickly become my first ball out of the bag, and I do not want to ball change.
