What the Specs Tell Us
The Storm GI-26 Reactive coverstock provides predictable, straight-line performance. With an RG of 2.48 and a .053 differential, this core revs up earlier for a stronger midlane read with strong flare potential that creates an aggressive ball motion. Designed for medium-heavy oil, this ball has the surface and core combination to handle the volume and still make a move to the pocket.

The Storm Alpha Crux A.I. is easily one of the strongest and most continuous balls I’ve thrown. The first thing I noticed was how much traction it creates in the oil without feeling uncontrollable. It reads the midlane extremely well and gives me a smooth but very heavy rolling motion that keeps driving through the pins. What I really like about it is that even though it’s a big asymmetrical piece, it doesn’t feel overly jerky downlane. The motion is strong and predictable, which makes it easier for me to trust on fresh conditions or heavier patterns. When there’s enough oil in front of it, this ball just keeps digging and never feels like it quits. For me, the Alpha Crux A.I. fits best as a heavy oil or fresh-condition ball where I need something that can handle volume and still continue through the deck. Once the lanes start to dry out, I’ll usually ball down, but on tougher conditions this thing is an absolute monster. If you like smooth strength, heavy roll, and strong continuation through the pins, the Alpha Crux A.I. is definitely worth throwing.
