It has does have some potential to hook, but I bowl straight, so it suits my needs just fine at this point. I've only been using it for a couple of weeks, so I can't speak to the long term durability, but it seems to be okay so far. No complaints.
The ball weights almost 9 lbs. I ordered an 8 lb ball and expected it to be 8 lb
