I can honestly say the Gremlin series might be my favorite series Roto Grip has produced in a while. The Wicked Gremlin is the icing on the cake, this ball just rolls great and really digs into the lane. We have been testing a new shot with a bit more outside friction, this ball was so strong it allowed me to move left from where I would normally start and give it a little more shape. I really am looking forward to bringing this ball for some upcoming tournaments. The name isn’t a lie, this ball is truly Wicked.

The Wicked Gremlin definitely lives up to its name! Mine is drilled 45×5×70, my traditional big asymmetrical solid layout, and it did not disappoint. The ball clears the front part of the lane extremely well for a strong solid, but what really surprised me was how much continuation it had through the backend. I expected a more forward, traditional big asymmetrical solid shape, but the Wicked Gremlin gave me a much stronger and more continuous move off the spot while still maintaining plenty of strength through the pins. It's an incredibly powerful and versatile piece when you need a strong solid that doesn't quit downlane. This ball is wicked!

I haven’t had a chance to get it drilled yet but it looks ready to knock some pins down! My league is starting back up soon so I need to get ready. He looks great next to his brother lol

The new Solid edition of the Gremlin features the Rondure MaxD core that was featured in the original Gremlin but teamed up with a new solid cover called G-R1 Solid. This cover gives great mid-lane traction and when teamed with the powerful high differential core it creates plenty of hook. I was fortunate to catch a very fresh lane when I went to test the wicked gremlin. It was honestly probably the tightest lane I've ever bowled on in our home bowling center. I had a mini panic moment when I threw the first shot. After seeing this ball hook tons for everyone else I was surprised that I didn't see a big difference. I threw my Gremlin Tour X to see what the lane was doing and quickly realized that I was just seeing more oil on the lane. I adjusted right with the Wicked Gremlin and quickly found a great look playing around the track. I played with some angles and speed changes and really like how consistent the Wicked Gremlin was. The mid-lane roll of this ball is as dependable as it gets. I think the wicked gremlin is going to get a lot of love with the pros especially on the women's tour. This is definitely a first ball out of the bag on higher volumes and its great for people who struggle to create the hook with their release. I'd say it's a little better than most "hook in a box" type releases. The slightly higher RG seems to give you more versatility compared to the really early big balls.

The Roto Grip Wicked Gremlin is one of those bowling balls that can find a place in just about any bowler’s bag. With its combination of versatility, control, and strong continuation, the Wicked Gremlin gives you plenty of options when you’re trying to figure out how to attack the lanes. It handles friction really well without being overly aggressive, while still giving you enough traction in the oil to stay predictable. Bowling Hand: Right Style: Tweener PAP: 5 5/8 over and 5/8 up Layout: 50 x 4 ¾ x 30 Bowling Ball Surface: OOB Rev Rate: 350 rpm. The Wicked Gremlin is on another level compared with the two Gremlins released before it. For me, this ball is extremely strong. I bowl on older HPLs with Kegel Glide oil, and on a 41-foot house shot, I cannot play it straight up the boards. The ball wants to start hooking around 30 to 35 feet and turn hard left. When I try to swing it, it carries well early, but in later games it tends to burn up. I also tested it on a longer pattern, Route 66 V2, and it really shined on the 45-foot pattern. I was able to play much straighter and keep the ball in front of me. When I first drilled it, I expected it to be a stronger Rockstar, but it is that and more. To me, this ball is on the same level as the Alpha Crux, maybe even stronger. Since Roto Grip retired the Hyper Drive, this is a great option if you need a strong, heavy-rolling solid. After five games, the cover held up well and did not shine up like some other solids I have thrown. Because of its strength, I see this as a tournament-only ball.

The Roto Grip Wicked Gremlin features the Rondure MaxD Core wrapped around the G-R1 Solid Cover. I drilled mine 4.5 x 4 x 2. This ball is smooth and controllable off the breakpoint, making it ideal for the fresh on medium-length patterns with higher volume. It gives you a strong, predictable read without being overly aggressive down lane. I also think this will be a great option for lower-rev bowlers who are looking for a bigger ball that allows them to play further outside without the ball burning up too quickly. The Wicked Gremlin gives you the traction you need while maintaining a smooth, controlled motion. If you're looking for a strong, smooth piece that you can trust on the fresh, the Wicked Gremlin is definitely one to consider.

The Wicked Gremlin gives me a strong, aggressive shape while still being predictable enough to trust shot after shot. It picks up nicely in the midlane and continues hard through the pins without feeling too quick or uncontrollable off the spot. I really like it when I need something that can handle some oil but still give me enough recovery downlane. It’s a great option when I need a stronger reaction that I can move inside with and trust to make the corner.

The Wicked Gremlin is strong and reads the midlane really well without being too jumpy downlane. It gives me a smooth, continuous shape and handles more oil without burning up too early. This will definitely be one of my first balls out of the bag on the fresh!
