What the Specs Tell Us
The Storm Reactor Pearl Reactive coverstock pushes through the front of the lane and stores energy for an angular backend move. With an RG of 2.58 and a .024 differential, this core stores energy longer, pushing further down the lane with low flare for a smooth, controllable reaction. Engineered for medium-light conditions where control and length through the heads are essential.

First ball purchase ever, and this ball is an okay entry-level ball. If you’re just starting off as a bowler, you don’t throw it that fast, and you’re not trying to spend that much money on a bowling ball, this is a good start. However, if trying to grow as a bowler, not so much. The ball hooks very well IN DRY CONDITIONS but doesn’t do well at all in medium conditions. In medium oil the ball often does not hook, forcing me to play more to the friction. This ball is meant for dry AND medium oil, but really it’s only dry. This ball (for me) does not do well with high speed as well; mind you, I throw the ball pretty slow (avg. ball speed 13-14 mph). Which limits my growth as a bowler, as I’m trying to throw the ball faster. However, with that being said, I’ve had some success with this ball. The ball does really well in dry conditions, being able to hook really well and being pretty forgiving if I miss too far right. So if you’re looking for a ball that’s versatile and trying to grow as a bowler, this is not the one. But if you bowl at a center that doesn’t really oil their lanes and you have a pretty slow ball speed, I definitely recommend this ball.
I got this ball for my son who is nine years old. It is his second year in league and it is his first reactive ball. We immediately saw the difference and his first two series were each 75 pins over his average.
