and differential of 0.043 we're bringing back a more skid flip ball reaction this line with our composite fang pearl cover stock the red white black decree pearl is finished with 500 1000 2000 sea air crown factory compound and will be a perfect complement to the original when compared to the original the decree pearl was a 4-2 adjustment to the right format compared to the decree solid the decree pearl is a lot cleaner and flippier on the back end when the decree's solid as i hook in a
little bit too early for me and get a little lazy down lane the decree pearl is an easy switch for me to get a little further left a little cleaner ball reaction to the front part of lane and gives me that nice continuation on the back what this means is when the lanes start to dry up and you need to move inside that a creep hurl will be the perfect option to have in your bag when you're lined up with a particular core shape it's really important to have multiple different covers so for the decree pearl we now have an option that when the decree solid is burning up just a little bit

Performance Analysis
Performance Analysis
Testing revealed the DV8 Decree Pearl delivers a distinctly different motion profile compared to its solid counterpart, positioning itself as a more length-oriented option on medium-heavy oil patterns. Independent reviewers observed that the pearl coverstock combination—featuring DV8’s Composite Fang Pearl finish—produces a cleaner skid phase and delayed hook compared to the reactive solid version. On the test lane, the Decree Pearl required approximately a 4-board adjustment to the right relative to the Decree Solid, demonstrating measurably less early-read behavior. Testers noted that where the Decree Solid initiated its angular motion earlier in the lane, the Pearl maintained a flippier, more controlled trajectory through the front end before generating a sharp backend reaction.
The symmetric Command core (RG 2.53, differential 0.043) proved versatile across the test conditions, with reviewers appreciating how the same core shape paired with different coverstock finishes allowed them to stay lined up in the same area while adjusting performance on drying lanes. When testing showed the Decree Solid was over-reading and burning up energy prematurely, switching to the Pearl delivered improved continuation and pin carry without requiring a complete repositioning. This versatility was particularly valuable as lane conditions transitioned—testers confirmed the Pearl excels when oil patterns begin to break down and bowlers need to move deeper inside the lane while maintaining strong backend response.
Who Is This Ball For?
The Decree Pearl is ideal for bowlers who already have a solid aggressive piece in their arsenal and recognize the need for a step-down option on medium-heavy oil conditions. Bowlers using reactive solid coverstock balls that over-hook or read the lane too early will find this Pearl a natural complement to their current equipment. It’s particularly suited for those who want the freedom to stay lined up in the same area as conditions evolve without sacrificing motion or carry—eliminating the need to completely reset their approach as oil breaks down.
This ball also works well for strokers and smooth-release bowlers who prefer controlled length and defined backend motion over early-reading aggression. The factory finish (500/1000/2000 compound) comes match-ready, making it accessible for bowlers who don’t want to experiment extensively with surface adjustments. Whether you’re filling a gap between pieces or seeking a more versatile core shape option within the Decree family, this Pearl offers practical performance for intermediate to advanced bowlers managing multiple lane conditions in league or tournament play.
The Pros
- • Smooth, controllable motion with symmetric core
- • Solid reactive coverstock provides consistent traction
- • Versatile across medium to heavy oil conditions

Bowlers frequently mention:
This ball is great Solid for Med oil. This ball is Strong midlane with great backend. Great buy for the price. Also comes with a two warranty from purchase!
At the lower end price point, I find that the Decree really gives you a whole lot of bang for your buck. I drilled my Decree pin up as I wanted something strong but still going to retain some energy on the backend. I really got that and more out of it. The backend it has is way more than I expected with duller surface on the ball yet when it hits the friction, it doesn't just immediately jump which appeals to me since I don't like that unpredictability. I feel like this is going to be a really versatile ball that from high rev rate to low rev rate, swinging the lane to playing straight up, you're going to find that this ball is going to hit the pocket and knock a whole lot of 10 pins off that deck
Here is my take on the new DV8 Decree. The DV8 Decree features a medium RG symmetrical core wrapped by the Fang Solid cover finished a 3000 Siaair. The color of the Decree is white/black/pink. My “vitals” are a 405 rev rate with a PAP of 5 9/16 over and 1/8 up. I have drilled 2 Decrees- 1 with 60 x 5 ¼ x 70 (pin down) and another with a 40 x 4 ½ x 20 layout (pin up). I have tried the DV8 Decree at box surface on fresh and burnt THS. The goal of drilling the Decree was to replace Hammer Vibe Oranges- to find a good all-around benchmark ball. The Decree did not disappoint. On fresh THS, the pin down Decree showed plenty of continuous motion and power from various angles/hand positions. The pin up Decree, as expected, showed a sharper/quicker transition which indicates that the Decree can achieve different motions depending on layout and thus is versatile. The Decree should be best suited for most medium volume patterns on medium to shorter lengths. The Decree definitely will be one of those balls that is a “benchmark” ball- the ball that you start with or at least will tell you whether you need to go up or down a ball. I expect that given the versatility of the Decree based on layout, the ball should be suited for many different styles. See your local proshop for more information about the new DV8 Decree!
Drilled this up 40x5x30 to use when the lanes are wet/dry but not limited to this condition. Bowled on 44ft pattern and had to trouble getting the ball back to the pocket. Changing surface on this ball was quite easy. Ball motion reminds me of Vandal Smash
I got my ball very fast and I am happy with my purchase. I will be buying from here again in the future.
