Performance Analysis
Performance Analysis
The DV8 Intimidator was engineered as a premier heavy oil ball, featuring the proven DV8 Assailant asymmetric core wrapped in the aggressive Inciter Max Solid Reactive coverstock. With an RG of 2.48 and differential of .051, plus a substantial .016 mass bias, this ball generates impressive rev rates and creates a strong, continuous arc through the pins. The 4-5 inch flare potential maximizes the ball’s traction in heavy oil while creating devastating pin action on impact.
The 2000 grit factory finish positions the Intimidator perfectly for medium to heavy oil conditions, allowing the solid reactive coverstock to read the lane early while storing energy for a powerful backend reaction. While this aggressive surface preparation limits the ball’s versatility on lighter conditions, it excels in its intended environment. Bowlers seeking this level of performance today can often find the Intimidator at attractive prices on the secondary market, making it an excellent value for heavy oil specialists.

The DV8 Intimidator is the best high performance ball by DV8 to date. This ball absolutely masters rolling in the mid lane but still having enough power to destroy the pins. The colors are fantastic, and they bring back great memories of the person who was the OG intimidator, Dale Earnhardt. The DV8 Intimidator features the Dynamicore technology which will also help the ball finish harder through the pins. The DV8 Intimidator also features the DOT technology, and that lets you drill on over 90% of the surface. If you need a ball to contend with heavy oil lane conditions, look no further than the DV8 Intimidator. You will not be disappointed
This is the ball to own. It has the strength characteristics of the Prism Solid but with less mid lane read and more down lane motion. Don't be afraid of purchasing this ball. Great job DV8.
All I can say is WOW !! This ball is one of the most aggressive balls I have ever thrown without losing energy down lane. For me when I use a Asym at times its just to much up front and loses it at the back not with this piece. A truly great ball and top of the line in the DV8 line . The Intimidator is a ball that all bowlers need when its time to be the Intimidator!!! Eric Forkel 5 x PBA Champ
This is a big engine ball. You are going to love the way it hits. This is definitely a tournament ball. If you need a little help getting the ball to the pocket. This is for you with DOT technology you’ll get the best warranty in the business.
