We all know the Axiom was a monster! Loved the NeX cover and the way it just dug in and never quit! So the pearl I would think the similarities would be there in a cleaner stronger version and I was right! Definitely shapes the lane with strength! Not to clean as it has a quick response to friction and a strong motion off the friction! Definitely allowed me to throw it right and not worry about it not coming back! Super strong and continuous
Trevor Roberts Oct 1, 2020
This Axiom Pearl made a statement the first time I saw it and threw it. The color combination on this ball is aesthetic and the smell is not too over-powering. When I took it to the lanes for the first time I started with the front 8 strikes.
In my YouTube review of the Axiom Pearl, I compared it to the Storm Trend. I would say that the Axiom Pearl is overall 5-6 boards stronger. When both balls got to the breakpoint, the Trend was slower off the spot and the Axiom Pearl was very strong.
I was excited to use this ball with the original Axiom and see the difference in the two as well. The pearl cover is going to make all the difference when the Axiom is burning up too early and not getting the corners out anymore.

PAP 4 ½ over and 1 up ball speed 15 rev rate 275
Drilling 90x4x30
I drilled the beauty to compare to my current favorite ball, my Phaze 3. Layouts are pretty similar although overall I get about 5-7 boards more hook with a very similar motion through the lane. The Phaze 3 is a touch stronger off the spot down lane but that is mostly because the Phaze 3 is more angular where as the Axiom Pearl is a little bit more forward which gets the ball into a roll just a little bit quicker. So overall more mid-lane dig and stronger reaction. Between the look of this ball and that amazing peppermint smell this ball is going to quickly make it to one of my favorites!
PAP 3 ¾ over 1” up ball speed 17 rev rate 475
Drilling-65x4 ¼ x45
I drilled this Gem with the intention of it being my new house shot killer, she did not disappoint. It gives me a nice strong mid-lane for a pearl which is fantastic to see it control the mid's, and continue through the pins. Something I noticed with my pin carry, all my half pocket hits carried. The Orbital core keeps the pins low and on the deck showing my pin carry has certainly shown improvement with these in my hands. Overall I get a very OG Marvel Pearl motion, very happy to have a new Big Symmetrical Pearl in my arsenal
Talk about hard hitting! This ball has it. You would think it was an Asym it hits so hard. Storm has hit the jackpot with this ball. With the NEX Pearl Coverstock, this ball gets though the front part of the lane and when it turns the corner it makes a move like no other. I have drilled two of them. 60 x 3 3/4” x 25 and another one 50 x 4 1/4” x 45. This ball has a very strong forward roll. Hooks about 3-4 boards more then the TREND ball and the colors show the skid, hook and roll phaze very easily. This is a must have in your bag. When you need to get left this ball seems to not quit. Medium to high flare ball this ball drives with power. I throw 14lb and you would never know it. The way this ball launches pins is incredible. Reminds me of the Nuclear Cell as far as hitting power. You struggle with rev rate? Not to worry, it is very versatile to any style of bowler. You wont be disappointed with this ball!!

The New Storm Axiom Pearl has already been very popular with the Tour players. The orbital core has been wrapped in the NEX Pearl cover. As stated by the company: "NeX (Nano Extreme) is Storm's earliest reading cover to date. NeX was remarkably earlier hooking than NRG on any pattern, or any surface we tested it on. Our standardized durability and longevity tests showed NeX created 11% more entry angle and 9.6% more overall hook after 50 shots compared to a fresh NRG cover. Simply put, NeX gives more midlane read than ever WITHOUT sacrificing any backend!"
The description certainly bears out when tested. This ball gives you a lot of mid-lane read for a Pearl. The higher volume patterns used on tour would definitely work well for a ball this strong. This is the strongest symmetric pearl ball I have ever thrown. I see it being a favorite for people with higher ball speeds and lower rev-rates in a league atmosphere and for anyone bowls on sport patterns. I had to find another gear to get it down-lane on the higher friction surface where I bowl league, but once I resigned myself to playing left to right I immediately saw how once I provided the speed the ball would provide the hook and hit.
The Axiom Pearl is the next installment in the Master Line. I particularly looked forward to this ball as it going to be a strong coverstock/core combination that will be more angular than the original Axiom. This ball did not disappoint as it reads the midlane strong and angles in the backend going through the pins very well. Compared to the Trend, the Axiom Pearl is a little earlier rolling and a little more smoother in the back part of the lane. This ball to me is great on heavier volumes of oil, sport conditions or house conditions where you can be a little straighter on the lanes. This is definitely a great ball to have if you love the motion of the original Axiom and find that the ball can get a little too slow on the backend. The Axiom and Axiom Pearl are a great 1-2 punch!
Josh Shoemaker Oct 12, 2020
The Axiom Pearl features the same low RG, high differential core found in the original Axiom but is now wrapped in NEX pearl. NEX pearl is Storm's latest rendition to its nano based covers. The design intent behind NEX was to enhance midlane traction without sacrificing downlane motion. This combination provides exactly what you want to see out of a stronger symmetrical ball. During the middle games of a tournament block, as soon as you are forced left it is important to keep a strong ball in your hands to control the midlane. The Axiom Pearl provides the midlane control needed with the energy retention required to get the ball through the pins properly. This ball reaction reminds me a lot of the SonIQ and Marvel Pearl which were both staples in my bag a few years back. When compared to the Axiom, the Axiom Pearl is 2 to 3 boards more overall and 2 to 3 feet later downlane. When thrown against the Hyroad, the Axiom Pearl provides much more traction and slows down much faster. This is by far the best shiny pearlized symmetric ball I have drilled! The Axiom is incredible for me, for sure the strongest symmetric ball we make. When I need a shiny ball from there the Phaze 3 is a bit too long in the oil and too sharp off of the friction. This Axiom Pearl is the closest ball I've seen to the Marvel Pearl. It is alot of hook for that shiny of a ball and doesn't over-hook off of the dry! Everyone needs this ball!
This ball is the best ball I’ve ever had by far, hooks very aggressively to the pocket and that’s exactly what I was looking for

Mine that I have drilled is pin over my bridge CG kicked which is about 4 1/2 inches over from my pap! Definitely love the motion of this when my Axiom May be a little to early or to smooth down lane and my Phaze 3 is not quite enough this will fit that gap fantastic!

Storm’s Axiom Pearl features the same fast revving Orbital Core as the original as the Axiom but this one is wrapped around the pearl version of the NeX. I drilled mine 5.5 x 5 x 3, after throwing a couple games with the Axiom Pearl, I noticed that it was clean as any other pearl ball but it wasn’t as angular as one. The backend reaction was still strong but it reminded me more of a solid cover bowling ball on it was smooth and continuous. This ball will be very versatile as I believe I will be able to use it on the fresh when I see friction all over the lane and also sometimes later in blocks! Higher friction house shots will best suit this ball for league!

My Thoughts…. I mean what can I say? By this time you should have already been rolling the Axiom Solid and this Pearl is the jelly to a peanut butter sandwich. The NEX solid cover is a proven winner and that makes the solid a winner. So what can the guys in Utah do to improve the next ball? Let’s release a pearl! This pearl is everything that the solid is and when you get to a point where the solid will not make the corner all you have to do is get the Pearl out of the bag and keep on striking!!!

I strongly believe the Axiom solid is the best new release in the last few years (if you don’t have one... go get one!) and seeing the Axiom Pearl go down the lane it’s pretty clear that this one is really special too. The pearl has a lot of the same great characteristics as the solid. I am most impressed that even with the pearl cover, the Axiom Pearl still kind of has that strong, grippy, slower response shape.
Mine is drilled with the pin in the ring finger which is about 4.5 from my PAP. The best comparison I can make is it reminds me a lot of the Marvel Pearl. And there aren’t many pearl balls in Storm’s history that have been more beloved than that!

Introducing the newest addition to the Storm Products Master Line, the brand new Axiom Pearl! The Axiom Pearl features the NeX Pearl Reactive Coverstock wrapped around the Orbital Core. The Axiom Pearl is a cleaner, more responsive and, more backend version of the Axiom. The Axiom and, Axiom Pearl are the perfect 1,2 punch that compliment each other perfectly! I am definitely in love with the motion of this ball. So much that I can't put it down. This ball for me is perfect for when my Axiom starts responding to early or, is to smooth and, just doesn't have enough to get there. Storm definitely hit a grand slam with this ball
For all you Axiom lovers, get ready for the next great addition to the Axiom line. The Axiom Pearl is the newest addition to the Storm line. The Axiom Pearl has the same core seen in the original Axiom with a N2X Pearl Reactive Coverstock. What players will see out of this ball is the same characteristics seen in the Axiom, which is control and predictable ball motion, now in a cleaner and more angular version.
The Axiom Pearl is a cleaner and sharper version than the original. I see this ball being best when tougher conditions are on the lanes and you need a cleaner option that's going to give you the most control. I think this ball fits in right above my idol pearl and is probably my first option from going from a solid symmetrical ball to a pearl symmetrical.
Clean and smooth ball motion. Only two words to describe it. Axiom Pearl. Get yours at your local Storm VIP Pro Shop.

The first word that comes to mind is, WOW. I’ll admit I am kind of bias because symmetrical pearls are my jam but wow, just wow. The motion this Orbital Core creates is simply amazing. I love the original Axiom and I am a huge fan of pearls so this is a slam dunk for me. Superbly clean through the fronts and never gives up on the back. The 8 pin doesn’t stand a chance. The only thing I can compare it to was the Roto Grip Hyper Cell Fused, floats so cleanly down lane then BAM. I have a strong feeling we will be seeing a lot of this ball in the upcoming 2021 season.

I have the Axiom and knew I was going to get the Axiom Pearl. I figured this would be a good 1-2 combo for me. The Axiom Pearl is smooth through the front of the lane and really pops on the back end. I can choose to start the night with this ball or when the lanes start to transition I can grab this ball. I figure if I start the night with this ball and lanes start to transition, I can grab my Axiom. I am one that when I have to move left I tend to ball up due to my speed and rev rate. Right now my rev rate is down a bit as I have been having some wrist issues. We also did a fit change to help me out with the wrist issues so I have been adjusting to that as well. I feel like with the Axiom Pearl I do not have to worry about my rev rate as this ball still pops on the back end for me. This will definitely be a ball I take to league and tournaments with me.
I have been bowling in a sport shot league on Sunday afternoon. We are two week in and have been bowling on the 2011 US Women’s Open pattern. This ball is one that I take out maybe game 3 or 4 when the lanes start to see some type of transition. I have not bowled in any tournaments yet this season but I cannot wait to see what this ball with give me in tournaments and at other houses.

The Axiom Pearl is a worthy compliment to the Original Axiom. The NeX Pearl cover really lets the Orbital core excel on multiple conditions. The cover is ultra clean through the fronts and stays super aggressive down lane as well. I did have a little bit over under with a pure out of box finish on a wet/dry condition. I used a wore 3000 Abralon to crack the surface, that really help blend out my breakpoint.
The Axiom NeX Solid comes out the box 3000 Solid and it is pretty strong out of the gate. Once I had a few games on it, things started to settle in and I started getting comfortable on the lanes. My old go to was a Hyroad when the lanes were hard to read, no I break out my Axiom or Axiom Pearl. Usually the first few balls out of my bag to see how the pattern is playing.
I am pleasantly surprised how well the Axiom Pearl reads the backend on oily conditions or wet dry conditions. The driving power is evident and the Axiom Line is a legendary line in the making.

The Axiom Pearl is the newest addition to Storm’s Master Line. The Axiom Pearl is the Perfect complement to Axiom which was released prior to the shutdown of everything. Both Axioms utilized the Orbital Core which is very versatile and forgiving. The Axiom Pearl is wrapped with the NEX Pearl Reactive with allows some length but exact grip in the midlane compared to other pearl coverstocks. The layout I used on the Axiom Pearl with Pin under the ring finger with the cg kicked out. The numbers should be around 45 X 4.5 X 70 based on my axis point (5 5/8 over and ¾ up). I have used this layout before in solid or hybrid coverstocks and it was pretty smooth and controllable. The layout helped the Axiom Pearl start up and was pretty aggressive in the middle part of the lane. On the Fresh, for me this Axiom Pearl was awesome and very forgiving. Pearls and I on the fresh are usually a bad experience! However, as the league session continued the carry down and bad shot making and did not do any surface prep on the Axiom Pearl… Carry down generated a severe over under reaction. The next league session I did my usually surface prep with a 2000 pad and it was still the bomb on the fresh and carry down was no problem! Shot making is an issue… very rusty. The Axiom Pearl is a must have in your bag very predictable with strength where you need it!
With any new release showing off new technology, I never allow myself to assume what I’m going to see before throwing the ball. After about 5 shots I realized I was expecting something a bit more angular. No big deal though… what I got was something I was missing in my bag anyway. A strong symmetrical pearl that doesn’t go sideways and doesn’t need friction to slow down. Like the original Axiom, this ball reads the pattern early but has a surprising amount of energy left for the back of the lane. And for me, that’s usually my struggle. Get a ball to slow down early, but still have enough to carry. I find I typically have to sacrifice one for the other. It seems the Axiom is going to give me that look.
In my video review, I decided to compare this to the Trend. I could have gone with the low hanging fruit and compared it to the Axiom, but what’s the point. The surface alone tells you they’re going to look different. When I evaluate a new ball, I like to figure out where it differs from other balls in the same category.
Both the Trend and Axiom Pearl have more of an arcing shape on the back end. The difference is, the Trend needs more friction to tip toward the pocket. I found I had to play about 3-4 boards further right to get the same entry into the pocket. The Axiom Pearl gives me the ability to open up angles and error room which is my favorite attribute of any ball.

The Axiom Pearl has not left my bad since I have drilled it. it features the NeX Pearl cover with the Orbital Core. I personally love this piece because I tend to love quick response pearl balls. This and the Axiom Solid are a great 1-2 punch to have in your bag for sure. There has not been a time where I have not thrown this ball.
Shaun Ciesielski Nov 8, 2020
The Storm Axiom Pearl is a ball for your bag when you need that little extra pop on the backend yet still that controllable look. I drilled mine with my favorite 5x5x2 with out of the box factory finish. It gets through the heads clean, reads the mid-lane a little later, as it should with the pearl coverstock, and finishes very strong and angular. Man it hit with so much power, pins explode. When it hits the dry look out, it gets moving. I was able to play the oil line on the THS and move in deeper from the start. You’ll have to increase speed as the oil goes away or move in. Stand Left, throw right and you won’t have a problem with this one recovering. It’s the perfect compliments to the Axiom Solid when you need longer and stronger. My PAP is 5-1/8 and 1/8 up. Usually around 15-16mph, I’d probably be classified between and tweener and cranker.
See my ball review video on YouTube here: https://youtu.be/uoC_yTsbER4
Holy freaking cow. This ball is GOOD. I was skeptical because the Axiom wasn't my favorite out of the box. It took some time and effort for me to understand the characteristics of the Axiom. The Axiom Pearl is a MONSTER. Immediately out of the box this ball was pretty clean and provided consistent motion off of the breakpoint. Because the cover base is NeX, you won't see a violent downlane motion. Instead, you'll find a clear and more forward motion than most of our pearls. The Axiom Pearl is really a home run. I was able to use it a few weeks back to shoot my very first PBA 300! It gave me easy length and controllable downlane motion on the long pattern we were bowling on.

The Storm Axiom Pearl utilizes the NeX Pearl Reactive coverstock wrapped around the new Orbital Core. The shelf appeal of the Axiom Pearl stands out with the Cobalt/Graphite/Candy Apple color scheme. As far as the performance report cards goes, the Axiom Pearl was stronger than I anticipated when compared to the Axiom Solid. I have Axiom Pearl a couple boards stronger overall. The Axiom Pearl reads the mid-lane rather well for a pearl. The reaction of the Axiom Solid is smoother overall. We saw the same thing when helping a friend with his game. Disclaimer – A house pattern can give a false impression so this could change when used on a sort pattern, which is often the case. I am looking forward to using this one in tournament play.

The new Axiom Pearl features the same low Rg, high differential Orbital core found in the original Axiom. The coverstock on this new release is an all new NEX pearl. This new cover provides excellent traction in the midlane without sacrificing any backend motion. This ball is a great compliment to the original Axiom as well as any of the big asymmetrical balls. The Axiom Pearl will give you the control of the midlane you need but will also provide a very strong backend motion. The pin carry with this ball is some of the best I have ever seen! I am not usually a fan of pearls on my local wet/dry house patterns, but the Axiom Pearl is the exception. This ball allows the bowler to play deeper on the lane where there is a higher volume of oil and still has enough energy stored to carry the corner pins. This ball is a must have in anyone’s bag!

The Storm Axiom pearl is to me the strongest Pearl in the Storm Line today. Love the original Axiom especially on the fresh and larger volume patterns. So I couldn't wait till the pearl came out. As when the OG Axiom starts to labor the Pearl is perfect compliment. The Axiom Pearl just doesnt stop coming downlane. Very strong arcing backend motion. Plus the Axiom Pearl carries real well and keeps the pins real low.
Plus the Axiom has great self appeal with its bright colors.

The Axiom Pearl features the NeX pearl coverstock and symmetric Orbital core. NeX Pearl is the strongest pearl formula in the catalog, and is nano based, so while polish and the pearl helps it clear the fronts, it’s still fairly strong and on the smooth side for a pearl. The Orbital core comes in at a 2.48 RG and .050 differential in 15 pounds, it’s very early rolling, strong, and slightly forward rolling. It’s deceptively strong for how easy it gets down the lane and how smooth it is, but it gets traction through quite a bit more oil than something it seems to be similar to like a Trend or an Idol Pearl. The Axiom Pearl has quickly become a bowler favorite, netting some huge scores because of its balanced blend of shape, control and hook. With 1 being the lowest and 10 being the highest, for hook potential I rate it a 7, for length I rate it a 6, and for backend I rate it a 6.
After having a ton of success with the original Axiom, I was stoked to learn about the Axiom Pearl. As expected, the Pearl is a cleaner version with a quicker response time. I’ve loved the Axiom Pearl thus far and it goes everywhere with me. I’ve been extremely impressed with how well it compliments the original Axiom and can be used on so many different patterns.
I’ve drilled one Axiom Pearl so far and love it. I drilled it identical to my original Axiom (5 x 4). This puts the pin above my bridge and I also left the surface alone. After using it for a couple months, I’ve have had the most success when my angles have been open and I need a ball to be cleaner through the front with a quicker response time. As mentioned before, it’s been a perfect compliment to the original Axiom. I’ve also been able to use it after my Omega Crux and UFO have slowed down.
If you need a low RG, quick response ball that can be used on multiple patterns and angles, drill an Axiom Pearl!

The Axiom Pearl might have just set a new personal record for the fastest that a ball has ever made it into the trusted, "has to go everywhere" pile for me when packing for a tournament. It's exactly what you would expect - a pearlized version of the NeX coverstock from the original Axiom and the exact same core. It provides more traction and stability in oil than any other shiny ball that I've ever used - if you have an R2S Pearl ball that's going too long but equipment like a Phaze II or Axiom are hooking too early, put the Axiom Pearl in your hand and you're off to the races. I don't have any backup blanks of this ball... yet. Because I can already promise you that I'll be drilling more of these. If you don't have this ball you're missing out!

Storm Axiom Pearl - 35 x 4 x 70 - 1500 grit polished
NeX Pearl cover stock with Orbital Core
The next generation of pearl reactive has arrived! I found this ball to rev up quicker then even a Hyroad Pearl and went through the midlane like a rocket ship and hit the pins like they were toothpicks - that was my first reaction when bowling on newer SPL with a 46 ft. house pattern with a bunch of 2 to 2's built into the pattern. I usually "struggle" to be consistent on getting the ball to stay in the pocket area because the conditioner moves around so much at this center with other pearl reactives with symmetric cores and Asys are way too strong to recover after a few games on the pair of lanes. Rolled better with 2000 grit done by hand on my second 6 games with it. I will keep it at 2000 grit because it was just a little more controllable after the pattern broke down. The NeX pearl coverstock is the real deal. Stop by our local Matchmaker and give it a try. Axiom Pearl with not disappoint you.
Couldn't wait to drill this up since I love the Axiom solid so much. The pearl definitely does not disappoint. I used the same pin up layout as I wanted this to go to when the solid started to slow down to early. The pearl is the perfect step down and does exactly what I hoped. Cleaner through the front with a quicker response down lane while giving me the same look I had to start with the solid. The best solid pearl 2 ball lineup available!

The Axiom pearl is HUGE!!! I am a big fan of the original Axiom so it was a no brainer for me to grab this one and add to my arsenal. I decided to drill this ball pin below the bridge with a 5” pin. What I didn’t anticipate is how big this ball really is. I have to stand pretty far left unless there is a bit more volume up front. However, I can get pretty far left and this ball finishes with anger every time! This is by far the strongest pearl in my arsenal which creates a unique spot in my arsenal. This ball would be ideal for speed dominant or rev challenged players who need that big backend help. Go talk to your local PSO about this one and go bowl up a Storm!

Continuation through the pin deck!
I am still impressed with how the Axiom goes thru the pins. This ball finished over the 8 pin almost every shot. The Pearl NeX cover, although off the top of the chart as the most aggressive Storm Pearl Nano cover to date, felt as if I didn’t have to fight it thru the front part of the lane. No doubt it definitely needs some oil in the heads, but not an excessive amount in order to get this ball down the lane. The really low RG Orbital core spins up very quickly and maintains that all the way thru the pin deck. We saw almost no deflection from this ball when it hit the pocket. The low rev guy could ride the oil line up the track and had a nice smooth, hard motion on the backend. The medium, stroker style bowler was able to play his regular 10 to 5 baby swing and absolutely crushed the pins. I was able to move left of them, between 15 -20 out to 7-8, and this ball mangled the 1-3. It carried everything by staying on the smooth side and never creating any weird angles. A foot or two longer than the original Axiom and little bit more angular, but not snappy. You can read the lanes and what the ball is going to do very easily, which makes adjustments a cinch. It fits very nicely in that Medium/Strong Symmetrical spot covering a ton of lane conditions for various styles of bowlers. #StormNation

I drilled the Axiom pearl 50x4x25 which gives it great length and a very strong backend. The NEX pearl cover is a great combo with the Orbital core. With having the pearl versions of the Axiom and Proton cover its a great go to ball when the lanes burn up alittle. On fresh this ball let me play the outside part of the lane, but when i could more in it really showed its hook potential. Comparing the pearl to the Idol synergy the Axiom is a hair longer, but more backend where the synergy is "smoother", but still strong downlane. Doesn't look bad in the hand either.

All I have to say about this ball is what a great addition to the arsenal. With my speed and rev rate I usually have trouble with the pearl covers giving me too much length and then being too slow or too sharp off the dry. With this core and cover combination I have a readable midlane reaction and a strong or quick response off the dry. This reaction gives me versatility on different bowling center’s house shots in my area because I can see a noticeable change of direction in the midlane and beyond.
Along with the Axiom it is a good 1-2 punch. The motion or shape each ball makes rolling down the lane compliments each other. If the lanes are a little tighter I can use the Axiom to start and just switch to the Pearl without making a big move left or fishing for other balls to use.
From the bowlers I have seen use this ball around town there has not been many who have done big surface adjustments. It rolls well right out of the box and has the same ball motion (shape) for all types of players. This ball definitely needs to be in everyone’s arsenal.

The Axiom Pearl has that big skid-flip reaction that Storm has traditionally been known for. It is certainly a totally different reaction than the original Axiom, which was very rolly and controllable. The Axiom Pearl goes left in a hurry when it sees friction down lane, which lends itself to be very good for when you need to open up the lane. It is very clean in the fronts but maintains a good bit of midlane roll from the Orbital core, but it really kicks in to overdrive in the back of the lane. I find it to be best on a variety of medium oil lane conditions. Due to the strong backend, however, it is not the best ball for fresh oil. That is when the original Axiom appropriately comes into play.
Here we have the Storm Axiom Pearl, the newest release in the Master line. The Axiom Pearl uses the Orbital core and is wrapped with the NeX Pearl cover. I was really impressed how strong and continuous it was. I was able to get in and swing it on the fresh condition and it recovered with ease! The Axiom Pearl is the perfect compliment to the Axiom solid ! If you are looking for a strong pearl that can handle some oil, then look no further then the Axiom Pearl! Storm's Axiom Pearl adds a strong symmetric core pearl to the lineup.
First thing I noticed was the pearl went a lot longer downlane than the original Axiom---Awesome!
I really like when the pearl and solid versions are noticeably different (as far as length goes). I hate seeing a pearl go just a bit longer than the solid.
The Axiom Pearl goes ALOT longer than the solid. That extra length help the ball get a sharper reaction.
This is a pearl/solid combo that can be easily played off each other---Again, awesome!
Big strong symmetric pearl...great for house shots and useful on plenty of patterns.
The Axiom pearl looks good, smells good and rolls great! I really liked the original Axiom for strength and control, but it seemed that when I got in with it I had to be perfect to carry. The Axiom pearl is the perfect answer for this. I can open up the lane with it, giving me miss room right when it hits the dry AND left when I miss in. I have heard a lot of people compare this ball to the Marvel pearl, but I’m not buying it. This ball feels more like a high performance MVP pearl. I see a similar shape off the dry, a very strong controllable shape. Brand new Pearl cover to go along with the once used Axiom core…this ball is a goodie that will make its way into anyones arsenal!

The Axiom Pearl is a perfect compliment to the very successful Axiom. I had great success with the solid Axiom so I knew this was going to be a ball that had to be in arsenal. I put a layout of 5 ½ x 6 3/8” x 3” which placed the pin the and in the middle of my fingers with the CG just about in the center of my grip. I was looking for a layout that would give me that additional length needed when the Axiom solid started to labor down the lane. This ball allowed me to stay in the same area of the lane as the Axiom solid but retained the energy for the extra few feet down the lane, while going strong through the pins. If you are looking for a compliment to your Axiom, then the Axiom Pearl is a must have.

The Storm Axiom Pearl is simply amazing. The ball gets through the front part of the lane very clean, stores a ton of energy, and runs through the pins like a MAC truck. What I like most about this ball is that you can attack the lane from multiple spots. Its Versatility allows bowlers to start and finish league without having to make a ball change. This ball compliments any of the stronger symmetric balls like its counter part the Axiom and is a great addition to anyone's bag. If you are looking for a stronger pearl ball look no further.
If you are looking for a stronger, shiny symmetrical ball this is the answer! I have a Phaze III and was very pleased with how smooth it rolled and how strong it was. I was pleasantly surprised to see the Axiom Pearl is stronger for me than my Phaze III. Both balls have very similar drilling angles and pin to PAP distance as well. On most patterns the Axiom Pearl is 2-3 boards stronger for me. It has good length and the transition is strong but smooth. It has been a versatile ball as well. I have had success with it on many different types of patterns in terms of volume and length. I highly recommend this ball!
My PAP is 3 ½” H -5/8” V. I use the dual angle system for layouts and on my Axiom Pearl I did 30x4”x25. I am RH and mostly a tweener who tends to spin it some. I also have slightly above average ball speed.

The Axiom is a perfect ball for medium to heavy oil pattern. The Storm axiom pearl for me is the good complement to my nuclear cell from Roto Grip.
The fact that the axiom is an symetric pearl ball with a lower Rg of 2.48 compared to the Nuclear who is assymetric with a upper Rg of 2.52 give me a really good transition ball after that the nuclear begin to lost energy when the oil begin to burned. I’m able to squeeze me inside and the Axiom pass the heads and keep more energy on the back-end.
Another great addition to my arsenal !!
The new Axiom Pearl in the Master line of bowling balls from Storm, the Bowlers Company, uses the same Orbital core found in the solid version, but with a new cobalt/graphite/candy apple pearl cover called NeX pearl Reactive. This version comes from the factory with a 1500 grit polished finish. The Axiom pearl numbers in 15lb bowling balls is 2.48 Rg with a differential of 0.050.
I drilled my Axiom pearl with a 4.5” pin and a 4” pin buffer. This layout puts the pin just below my ring finger, as I have a PAP of 5” straight across. Comparing the pearl Axiom to a solid Axiom drilled with the same pin placement, the pearl is cleaner through the front part of the lane, and is a more pronounced change of direction off the spot. This motion is better suited for when the lanes have a bit of play on them, and the backends have softened up a touch, or when there isn’t enough oil in the heads to get a solid Axiom through the front of the lane. The Axiom pearl is also better suited when chasing oil depletion of a pattern throughout the course of a tournament. I have used the Axiom pearl on many different patterns from sport to challenge as well as blended league patterns, and like it a lot. The pearl Axiom is at least a 3 and 2 move in to find more oil than my Idol pearl, drilled the same. The Axiom pearl is on the list for every tournament that I go to that has a pattern of at least 39 feet in length with medium to medium high volumes of oil. Even though the Axiom pearl has a defined change of direction, it is still very useful on more blended patterns and sport shots that have lower left to right ratios.
I really like the Axiom Pearl. Not only does it have a great color combination, but the performance on the lanes is outstanding. Seek out your local Storm VIP pro shop and drill an Axiom pearl so that you too can bowl up a Storm!
All I can say is wow this ball changes direction down lane and continues. My layout is 60x5-1/2x40 on a medium pattern ball works great even when the pattern gets a little wet/dry. If I had to compare the axiom Pearl to anything it would be a 900 Global zen I drilled the axiom Pearl similar to my zen. The zen is a little earlier and a stronger arc for me where the axiom Pearl is cleaner and more angular.

The Axiom Pearl is a pearl I have been looking of since I switched to Storm this year. I have been looking for a transition pearl that I could use when the lanes break down and I need the extra backend to get out the corner pins. I am also surprised at how strong the Axiom is being a symmetrical ball. It lets me move in and create a better shape getting the ball to turn the corner and go through the pins, which I struggle with. This is just what I have been looking for a great addition to the arsenal!!!
With the success of the Axiom, the Axiom Pearl definitely does not disappoint. What surprises me the most about this ball is the versatility. From house shots, to longer patterns when the fronts burn up, the Axiom Pearl has been great to me. I would recommend this ball to anyone.
Storm Axiom Pearl is a great compliment to the original Axiom. My Axiom Pearl is layed out with a 5x4x2 just like my Axiom and the only thing I would recomend to do is hit the super shiny cover with 2000 or 3000 just to make it a little less fast in the front of the lane. What I noticed with the Axiom Pearl is that once the front part of the lane is burned up you can move a little left and stay in the same area with your target without losing carry. If your looking for a strong symmetrical pearl then this would be a great addition to your arsenal.
The Axiom pearl is the newest pearl release in the storm line. This ball is a perfect compliment to the original solid. I absolutely loved the solid and was excited to get the pearl and it did not disappoint. It has the same ball motion as the solid which lets me switch and play the same area when they start to burn up. I had to hit the cover with a 3000 pad just because I wanted it to see the lane a bit sooner during league play. The axiom pearl is a must have
My last ball didn’t have much break. I love this one. Really like the pin action I get.
