The all new Storm Fate is the latest and greatest Belmo ball. In my eyes the all new Fate is storm’s creation of the original Wolverine. Although the Fate has a slightly lower RG, this ball is going to be an excellent replacement to fans of the Wolverine. Although 900 Global came out with the Dark Moss, I believe with the coverstock and factory finish the Dark Moss is earlier and smoother than the original Wolverine. I truly think that the Fate will be the best Belmo ball yet, go out and get yours today!
Layout: 4.5 x 30 (4.5 x 3 x 1.5)
Surface: 2000 abralon
The new Storm Fate brings the new F-8 core with the REX Pearl coverstock. This combination brings a new look to the Storm Products family with a 2.52 rg and 0.053 differential in a symmetrical ball. I was able to test the Fate on my typical 44ft house pattern as well as 40ft challenge pattern.
House pattern test:
My first few shots out of the box with the original reacta gloss finish gave me a lot of length and fairly angular backend. Due to my higher speed, I found that the factory finish did not allow the ball to read soon enough on the lane to get the reaction I was searching for. My Phaze 5 is more of my cleaner and angular go to ball for games 2-3 of league. I decided to change the surface to a 2000 abralon to get an earlier hooking reaction with a more continuous backend. This shape would put the Fate as a step down from the infinite physix and a step up from the Phaze 5. I was able to get the ideal ball reaction at this surface. It's a cleaner infinite physix with a more continuous shape and it did not disappoint for me. The ball really came around and read the midlane fairly well and still gave me the right shape to strike on the fresh. The cleanliness of the cover actually allowed me to stay in the ball for all 3 games of league whole moving in and still seeing really good shape through the pins. It's definitely one of those cleaner balls for me I can use either on the fresh or during the breakdown. It's a ball that will stay in my bag for a while. The strength of the rex cover can handle more oil with removal of the reacta gloss. I recommend this for anyone who's ball creates too much length or for lower rev rates.
Challenge pattern review;
The fate on this pattern was a little touchy on the fresh due to the higher volume of the pattern. Even at the 2000 surface, it was a little hard to control on the flatter pattern. Once the lanes broke down for two games, I was able to use the fate with ease. I was able to move left with my feet, open my angles and create a lot of good down lane motion. For these type of patterns, the fate will be a better transition ball then a fresh ball. Bringing the surface to a lower grit can help to use this earlier on the heavier oil patterns.

The Storm Fate utilizes the new F-8 Core and REX pearl reactive coverstock. The 6th Edition in the Belmo line – Pro-Motion, Timeless, Drive, Trend, Trend 2 being the others. We tested the Fate against the other new Storm release - the Phase V. We liked what we saw from the Fate. The motion of the Fate was just different enough from the Phase V that you could justify carrying both in your tournament bag. The Fate had a touch earlier breakpoint than the Phase V and a defined motion on the back end of the lane. Overall, I have the Fate slightly stronger than the Phase V, which is not exactly what I expected. The higher RG in the Fate would indicate it being a little longer than the Phase V. The reason it is not has to be the REX pearl cover is stronger than the clean R2S cover. I can see myself using the Fate in Games 3 and 4 of a 4-game league. It is my ball down from the 900 Global Altered Reality. The Storm Phase V is also an option in this ball reaction category.

The Storm Fate is the newest Signature line ball in the Storm line up. Storm partnered with Jason Belmonte to create a pearl ball that will get down lane and make the turn the further left you get. For me this ball reminds me of a night road on steroids. This new core has a similar strength to the Velocity core. This ball is a very smooth move off the spot and allows me to throw the ball right. Comparing this ball to the Phaze V, it is going to pick up earlier and have a more gradual move on the backend. This ball is going to be a step up from the Night Road. The Phaze V will be a little sharper on the backend but can't go wrong with it either. Get yours Nov 18th at your local Storm VIP pro shop.

The Storm Fate is the latest ball from the Belmo line. It comes with the ReX Pearl Reactive, F-8 Core, and Reacta Gloss finish. For me, this is Belmo’s best ball to date, it is good. It will sit in between the Infinite and P5 in my bag. When my Infinite starts to see the lane too early, I can use the Fate due to the pearl cover and higher RG core allowing it to get down the lane a bit further. Or when I need to move left and throw to right, it has no problem coming back. When the P5 is getting down the lane too far and I am needing something to pick up a bit sooner, I can move into the Fate. The Fate will be good when the lanes start to break down in league and in the middle of tournament blocks. Another winner from the Belmo line!

The Fate is the latest installment in the Belmo signature series and it was designed to provide increased recovery and allow players of all types to play multiple angles. It shares the same ReX pearl cover as the Night Road, but has the new F-8 core. I have been a fan of the ReX pearl cover and the Night Road is always in my bag, so when I saw this release I was very excited. The Fate will come out of my bag before the Night Road because of the stronger core and its ability to start up sooner. Even though it reads earlier, it still provides great continuation through the pins. If you like the Night Road and are looking for a stronger and smoother reaction, the Fate is the ball you have been waiting for. Stop by your local Storm VIP pro shop to check it out!

The Fate is the newest Belmo collaboration with Storm Products. In the past I have not had much success with the previous Belmo balls. This new one comes with a new core wrapped with the ReX coverstock. This ball provides great length, but the ReX cover and core combination read the midlane extremely well and continue through the pins better than any other Belmo ball before it. The layout I used was a 60x3.75x25. I find more use for this ball on conditions with a little more friction or when the lanes start to transition and I need a little more length, and pop on the backend. This will be a great ball for league and tournament bowlers alike. Belmo and the staff at Storm Bowling have hit a homerun with this newest edition.

The latest Storm and Jason Belmonte collaboration in the Signature line is the Storm Fate. The fate uses a brand new F-8 core and the proven REX Pearl cover. This new F-8 core gives me a lot of Phaze/Velocity vibes with its medium RG and high diff values. Combine that with the unique feature of the REX Pearl cover and you have a very versatile ball that should appeal to bowlers of all styles regardless of rev rate.
What really makes the Fate stand out for me is the cover. The REX is proven for being able to handle oil without being too early. Much like in the Dark Code and Infitinite Physix, The Fate does not hesitate in oil down lane the way that pearl balls with weaker covers do.
I went with a weaker layout than I typically use on pearl balls of a 5x3x2.5. The shape I see for me is a stronger and smoother Phaze 5. I say “for me” in this review because I feel like the Fate is one of those balls that can look different depending on how you throw it. It could be the most angular ball in the bag for speed dominant players and could also be a rev dominant players go to ball on the fresh when they need to ball to blend a pattern. I see the shape and versatility of the F-8 core being able to appeal to a wide range of players.

In contrast to previous Storm Bowling/Jason Belmonte collaborations we see the Fate being on the smoother side of the spectrum. The Fate is clean and will has no issues clearing the fronts yet will provide plenty of control when it makes it's move off the spot without seeing that fast response off the friction. The Fate is going to be a great transition ball as you begin to open your angles up when you are getting out of the stronger symmetrical solids or the asymmetrical solids or pearls.

Finally, the new Belmo brand ball is here the FATE! I was pleasantly surprised when throwing this ball. It has that nice smooth shape with a sharper angular backend motion and strong continuation through the pins. The Fate is like several pearl balls we have in the SPI line. It is a bit later than the Zen and Phaze V and a bit more angular on the backend. The FATE is a ball you can move in with and will come around the corner and finish strong. It will be a good choice for most styles of play especially if you like a motion that is a bit longer with a sharper backend motion. Good Luck and Good Scoring!

The Storm Fate is the newest collaboration between Belmo and Storm Bowling. It features the new F-8 core, which in 15-lbs has a medium RG (2.52) and a strong differential (0.053), and is wrapped in the ReX pearl coverstock with the Reacta Gloss finish. This produces a ball motion that’s clean with a round and continuous backend that’s pretty versatile.
I’ve found the Reacta Gloss finish to be pretty comparable to the previous 1500-grit polish. So, as I often do with shiny bowling balls, I hit the surface with an old 3000-grit Abralon pad by hand just to get a few scratches on the surface and tame down how quickly the ball responds to friction. I’ve quickly become a big fan of the ReX pearl cover which is also found on the Dark Code, Infinite PhysiX and Night Road – it digs in the oil more than R2S but still manages to produce a strong backend motion. The ball motion I get from Fate is controllable yet clean and responsive. I liken it to a stronger Hy-Road, or perhaps a better comparison is the (now banned) Spectre. Compared to the Phaze V, which has a stronger core but weaker cover, Fate gets more traction in the oil and isn’t as quick off the dry – I think of Fate as a smoother Phaze V. The Fate is strong enough to dig through all but the heaviest of oil, but it retains energy so it’s still firm off the friction. The extra traction keeps the ball in play and I’ve been able to stay with it for an entire league set. Plus, being a Belmo ball, it’s safe to say that the Fate has no problem with steeper angles towards the end of league.
The Fate is a perfect fit between Infinite PhysiX and Night Road as all three feature the same ReX pearl cover and offer great progression as the lanes go through transition. League players will undoubtedly this one, and tournament bowlers in need of a transition ball should look no further. I know many folks are on one side of the fence or the other when it comes to Belmo balls. Even if you’re not a fan, you really should take a look at Fate, it’s really good and by far the best Belmo ball to date!

The overall strength surprised me. Possibly as strong a shiny ball as I've used. While the amount of backend motion was incredible it still didn't have any trouble handling some oil for me. Definitely fills a spot in the bag that I didn't have.

The Fate is the latest collaboration between Storm and Jason Belmonte, and features the well known ReX Pearl cover from balls like the Dark Code, Infinite PhysiX, and Night Road, with the new F-8 core which comes in at a 2.52 RG and a .053 differential in 15 pounds. The Fate is an exceptionally well rounded and versatile ball. It’s fairly clean and responsive, but that’s tempered by the strength of the ReX cover formula which gives it strength and control. It can be in play on a very wide range of conditions for a wide variety of bowlers because of its very balanced ball reaction.
I used a 4.5 x 4 x 2 layout and left it at the Reacta Gloss box surface, I’m left handed, speed of 17mph, and rev rate of 375. The Fate gives me a reaction I don’t normally get out of shiny balls on the left side, typically I have to use surface on something to get this kind of reaction, but the Fate puts me in a strong but smooth and controllable reaction while not transitioning the lane as fast as something with more surface does.

The newest collaboration between Storm and Jason Belmonte is called the FATE. The signature line of balls that have been designed with Belmo's help have been very popular and have become known for creating some smooth rolling powerhouse balls. The FATE will be a welcome addition to the arsenal of anyone who is a fan of the Belmo Balls.
The Fate features the new F-8 core. This strong symmetric core features a higher RG for length but a higher Differential for power. They teamed it up with a highly polished version of the REX cover which was so popular on the Dark Code. The new reacta gloss finish really gets the length and I think it works well with this core.
I tested the Fate on our high volume house pattern at my home center. While it certainly is strong enough to use on a fresh pattern, for me it's best use was in the transition. This ball is really good at clearing the fronts when they burn up which is a constant worry on our surface. Alot of balls can feel very over/under because the added volume tends to result in carrydown. When the fronts burn and the backs tighten up simultaneously it can make you feel like you're in jail here game 2. The fate shows its power in the perfect part of the lane for this starting its motion midlane but making a strong continuous move off the back of the pattern.
I think the motion of the Fate will also be very popular on sport patterns as they transition and in places where they over-oil to counter act a not so great surface. Tricky house shot/ sport pattern killer.

The Fate is the latest ball with the Belmo logo on it, this ball has a brand new core design in the F-8 which yields an RG of 2.52 and a differential of 0.053 and is wrapped around the REX Pearl cover. I drilled mine 5.5 x 5 x 5. After throwing this ball for awhile I was quite impressed of where it would fit in my bag. It doesn’t go as long as say a Hy Road or Night Road but it isn’t as early as some of the lower RG pearl balls are in the line. The Fate gave me the best of both worlds, it was clean in the heads but gave me enough mid lane motion for if I missed in the oil it still recovered. I will be using this ball in the middle and later in blocks where I need something cleaner through the fronts but not as long as some of the higher RG balls. This ball will also be great for many styles in league because of the medium RG value. I can see a lot of different styles using this ball throughout the night.

The Fate is the newest collaboration between Storm and Jason Belmonte. I have liked several of Belmo's previous releases, so I was excited for this one! I noticed right away that the Fate has a very clean cover stock, which allows it to clear the fronts very easily. I practiced with this ball on both a fresh house shot and one that had a lot of games on it, and it got through the fronts on both very well. You will notice that the Fate hooks quite a bit down lane when it sees the friction. I threw it alongside the Wolverine and Night Road, and the Fate out hooked them both. It surprised me how fast it was off the spot. This is going to allow you to open up your angles and have the confidence it is going to hook back from further right.

The newest Belmo collab is here. Wrapped in the REX pearl coverstock, the new F8 core is by far one of the strongest cores I have thrown and is one of the strongest symmetrical cores to date in the Storm line-up. This strong core/cover combination allows the Fate to blend wet/dry conditions like house shots or sport patterns when they start to blow open. I drilled my Fate with a 4x4x4 2LS, which has been my go-to layout on my pearls like my Phaze 4, Phaze 5, and Wolverine Dark Moss. The stronger cover on the Fate bridges a gap between my Zen and my IQ Tour Emerald or Ruby. Like the Night Road, it cleans the fronts very well. However, it starts to pick up a couple of feet earlier than the NR and gives me a reaction like the Wolverine DM. I think the closest thing in the SPI line-up is the Dark Moss.
Nonetheless, This has by far been my favorite Belmo release to date. The Fate is clean through the fronts but gives me a consistent and strong reaction down lane. It is your FATE to pick up a Fate at your local VIP proshop.

The Fate is the newest collab between Storm Bowling and Jason Belmonte. This thing is a backend monster! The mid-RG makes the core spin further down the lane, while the higher differential makes the ball flare enough to recover from anywhere! The 4th iteration of REX Pearl, this cover compliments this core in a way that gives it length, traction, and continuation. This ball is great for those rev-dominant players who want to see the ball clear the mids and jerk down the lane!

Review:
The Storm FATE has combined parts of R2S and NeX to make ReX in its coverstock formulation. Although this formula provides an extreme angular impact on a bowling ball the Reacta Gloss finish helps the ball move longer through the front part of the lane. In addition, your eyes will see a more controlled reaction compared to the traditional 1500 Factory Finish polish that was previously used.
The FATE will perform best in situations where you need to open your angles on most THS conditions. The FATE will provide a nice amount of length with good recovery downlane. If you are currently a fan of the previous Belmo releases you already know what this one can do. If you have not been introduced to the FATE be sure to check this one out.
For me, I decided to go with my standard benchmark 2LS layout. Before rolling this ball I was a bit concerned that the the FATE would be a touch sideways and likely over/under for me. However, I was pleasantly surprised how smooth the FATE is through the front part of the lane and the room I had available off the spot as I continued to move inside.
From what I personally have witnessed so far from SPI MatchMaker events and for the limited time I have had with this ball it appears to be a homerun for most league conditions. At this time, I have not changed the surface on my FATE, but likely will touch it up with a 3K or 4K pad. As a general rule I tend to knock the factory shine off most of my pearl pieces. I'm definitely excited for this ball from the Belmo collection from Storm.

The newest addition to the Belmo and Storm collaboration line. Introducing, the brand new Storm Fate. The new F-8 core wrapped around the ReX Pearl reactive cover stock that was also featured on the very successful Dark Code, makes for a deadly combination.
I’m very excited about this ball. I believe this Fate is going to be the perfect fit when I need a symmetrical option with enough teeth to cover a lot of boards across the lane. Belmo is back with yet another collaboration with Storm! This time Storm brings the f-8 core which features a slightly higher RG than your typical benchmark pieces, which helps get the ball down the lane just a touch more. Think of Hy-Road with a little more mid-lane read! Doesn't that sound amazing!
The Fate will be beneficial in league for myself especially in a bowing center where there is a ton of friction in the fronts. The mid-RG and Reacta-Gloss finish help to clear the ball through the fronts but maintains enough mid-lane read where my ball doesn't jump off the back of the pattern. It has also looked great on some medium length sport patterns when I need to create a little more shape and a little less traction!

The Fate fits an important spot in the Storm lineup - between the stronger asym. pearls, such as the Infinite Physix and Dark Code, and the cleaner pearls like the HyRoad Pearl and Night Road. The core and cover create a smooth roll that has more midlane than the HyRoads or the Phaze V. Essentially, this is the strongest symmetric pearl ball in the Storm lineup. It is best at home on medium-heavy to medium oil conditions. If the cover is hit with 2000-3000 abralon it can handle a good amount of oil as well, but that's what the Phaze 2 or Nova is for.

Welcome back to another ball review and today we are talking about the FATE by Storm and Jason Belmonte. The FATE is the newest in the Belmo line of balls. Having thrown everyone so far I can say that they have gotten better with each release. The FATE is using a new core that has not been used before so that alone gives us something new to the ball motion as it goes through all three phases of ball motion. What I saw from this and even the Trend2 which was also a “Belmo” ball were that these balls were the sharpest off the pattern for me. With the lower rev rate I like to use this ball on the fresh to help burn up / open up a spot down lane. This ball can and will be useful for many types of styles including #2hands. This ball is also very responsive to surface changes as 4K-Fast and Reacta Gloss has not match up with my style and rev rate I have been taking an older 2000 pad to knock the shine off on a spinner. Different results may vary so if you get a ball with either finish feel free to try it first to see if it matches up to you and your style.

I was chopping at the bits waiting for this ball since I wanted something to replace my 900 Global Wolverine that served me quite well for several months. I used a little stronger overall layout over the Wolverine because I started to bowl more and more at a center with SPLs that are well maintained and well cared for. Well, Storm and Belmo came out swinging with this latest signature release. I really love the overall and readable reaction, and I can see more bowlers using the Storm FATE over any other of the signature releases. Of all the newer releases, this has become a favorite for me fast. It has a little later angle entry then my trusted Hyped Hybrid, but not shockingly hard like the Phaze V with Reacta Gloss. I feel that the Reacta Gloss bonds very well to the ReX coverstock. I found myself using the FATE more and more in practice and league matches because the ball just works well on all stages of the pattern breakdown, if the track area starts burning up, I don’t have to make major changes, I will move left and go more direct and using a breakpoint farther down the lane instead of changing to a different ball. The Storm FATE has actually taught me how to play the lanes better during the course of a match, practice or even fun bowling with friends. The Storm FATE has been heavily used during the Storm Matchmakers events that I have been a part of or had the privilege to run and coordinate. The Storm FATE is a solid piece for any level of bowler and any type of lane surface and pattern. Don’t test FATE and go visit your local pro shop and drill up the Storm Fate and start striking like Belmo does.

Belmo’s newest collaboration with Storm is the Fate. The Fate has the ReX pearl cover found on Dark Code and Infinite Physix, two of my recent favorite releases. The Fate has a new core called the F-8, which has enhanced differential allowing multiple angles and superior performance. To avoid another long and flippy type reaction, I decided to try a pin under on my Fate which allows it to start up a bit sooner and rounds out the backend. Compared to my identically drilled Phaze II, the Fate is a very nice complement with the Fate being a touch sharper and the Phaze II being earlier and more round. My pin up Phaze V definitely retains more and has a more angular shape on the backend.
The Fate seems to match up for a variety of styles. I find it to be a nice league ball that can be used all night long because it is strong enough on the fresh but also manages transition well. As we move into tournament season, I expect the Fate to be useful on flatter medium volume/length sport patterns in games 3-4 as they blend out a bit.

I was very much a fan of Belmo’s last ball, the Trend 2. The combination of the stronger symmetrical core and original Physix cover matched my game very well. The Trend 2 was a good ball for me to use in league but not so much on patterns due to the stronger pin placement. With the release of the Fate I was looking for a ball with more length than the Phaze V but with the same continuous motion off the dry.
I drilled the Fate with my standard layout so I can get a read on how much longer this ball will go since the REX pearl cover is a stronger pearl cover than the R2S featured on the Phaze V. For me the Phaze V revs up earlier than the Fate but with the weaker cover can have some over/under reactions on the house shot. When this happens I can change balls to the Fate and notice more length but now I can trust I will have the recovery off the dry with the stronger REX cover. In my arsenal the Fate fits below the Phaze V and depending on the amount of head oil in my second shift league can be slightly stronger than the Night Road.

Even though this review is coming out a little while after the release, many bowlers are getting their arsenal ready for the tournament season and if you are one of them you should make sure to include the Storm Fate. The REX Pearl Reactive cover of the Storm Fate helps the ball be clean through the front part of the lane, maintaining energy for the end. The finish of the Storm Fate is continuous and strong, with the smooth transition you would expect from a symmetrical ball. I drilled the Storm Fate very similar to that of my Phaze 4 and Phaze 5 and for me the Fate similar shape, similar length, but the Fate is a bit stronger on the end. I have also seen the Fate maintains strong reaction with the moves in as the pattern transitions on higher volume patterns. The Fate is a very versatile ball good on many different pattern volumes and lengths and as the pattern transitions. VERY good on flatter, tournament type patterns and if you are looking to add to your tournament arsenal or even just your everyday arsenal this is a GREAT choice for your bag!
The pin buffer layout I used on the Fate is 4 x 3 5/8 x 1 ¾. I am a tweener who tends to spin it some.

The Storm Fate is an awesome shiny pearl ball. I believe it fits a gap we were missing in the line up. A good step down from balls like the Phaze 2 but a step up from the Road series balls. This ball still reads the middle of the lane very well for how clean through the fronts it is. It give a very continuous motion down lane while retaining plenty of angle. If you're looking for a good transition ball look no further than the Fate.

The fate gives me about 2-3 feet more length than my phase 5 but still a strong shape. I can't use this ball right out of the bag for league due to the higher volume the center uses but game 3 this ball is fantastic!

Likes: Clean through the heads, strong backend reaction. Great 3rd game ball for my bag. For me the ball did not like seeing oil early in the league session. This ball was great after the lanes started to transition and I could not throw my benchmark Zen anymore.
Dislikes: Pretty comparable to the Phase V in my opinion, just a bit stronger. Not different enough on a typical house shot to have both in the bag. Tournament bag however, definitely.

I was so excited for the next edition of the Belmo Series Ball with the Storm Fate. The Trend 2 was one of my favorite releases of the last five years. The R2X Pearl Coverstock matched up perfectly for me (and so many others) from the Marvel Pearl specifically and it doesn’t disappoint on this. I would say the Storm Fate fits right above a Hyroad Pearl in my bag but below the IQ Tour. For a Belmo release ball I would say it’s one of the weaker balls compared to the Pro Motion and Trends but it has a home in both my league and tournament bags. If you missed out on the Storm Fate, you’re missing out on somehow a sneaky gem.

The new collaboration with Jason Belmonte brings us the Fate from Storm. This ball has the ReX Coverstock and F-8 Core. If you’re a big fan of Jason Belmonte and have liked his past balls, you’ll definitely like this one! The Fate is a monster with being able to clear the fronts and the motion of looking like someone kicked it left. It has no boundaries as I did see it look better through transition but definitely playable on the fresh. It is a great compliment to pieces like a Phaze 2, IQ Tour, and Zen.

The Fate is the latest Jason Belmonte signature ball. The Fate features the REX pearl cover combined with the newly designed F-8 core. To me the Fate is stronger version on the Hyroad pearl and who doesn’t need that ball in their bag. The Fate has more recovery and more hitting power than any ball in the Belmo line. The high RG 2.52 and differential at 0.053 makes this ball great on typical house shot patterns and on the transition for sport patterns. The Fate is a must have for league and tournament bowlers. The Fate uses the new F-8 symmetric core paired with the REX pearl cover allows me a balanced speed to rev rate ratio player more recovery to play multiple angles which is thanks to the REX cover being the third strongest cover that Storm makes. Overall the Fate is great step down from a Phaze II or a step up from the Revenant.

One of the newest additions to the Signature line at Storm is the Fate. We all know who Jason Belmonte is. Him and the wizards at Storm have created a few balls previous to the Fate, but I believe this is the best one yet. After a few changes to the core and coverstock, the Fate gives bowlers a dynamic ball that can be used on all types of patterns. I’ve had a lot of success with the Fate and it goes most places with me, whether it’s league or tournaments.
Mine is drilled as follows: 4.5 x 4 x 2. This puts the pin above my ring and CG just to the right of my center line. I’ve had the most success with it when my Gem, Reality, or Exotic Gem are just too strong. Also, I’ve seen it strike the most on shorter to medium patterns. Because the RG is 2.52 and differential is .053, that tells me this ball needs friction but will definitely come off the spot down lane. It’s still provides a round enough shape down lane that the response time is still extremely controllable.
If you need a ball to complement your “bigger” balls in your bag, the latest collaboration between Belmo and Storm is a home run. Go drill a fate!

The new Jason Belmonte Signature ball is the Storm Fate. With Jason and the Storm team at the plant has come up with what I think is the best Belmo ball to date.
I drilled mine 4.5 x 3 x 2. The Fate gives me a very good motion, its a little unique but in a good way. I can use the Fate when the big bowling balls like Gem, Exotic Gem, DNA, Dark Code start to bog down. The Fate has some good length and very good response down lane, can be a little quick at times. But still the round shape not the hockey stick motion. I've drilled the Fate for a variety of styles, strokers, crankers and 2 handers. All of them love the ball. So as in a pro shop it is very easy to recommend the Fate. Just because it has Belmo name on it doesn't mean its only for 2 handers. A Great addition to the Storm Line.

The Storm Fate is the latest collaboration between Storm and Jason Belmonte. This release in the signature line features the new F-8 core wrapped in the REX pearl coverstock. In 15lbs, the ball features a 2.52 RG and a differential of 0.053. With my slower ball speed and higher rev rate, I drill most of my equipment with a 5 x 4 x 2 drilling. This puts the pin just above my middle finger. What I found when I threw the fate, was a much stronger ball than most of the other symmetrical pearls that Storm has released. The Fate was pretty clean through the front part of the lane, but really read the midlane more than I was expecting. It provided a very strong move off the breakpoint which one should expect from a Belmonte ball. However, the fact that the Fate read the midlane so well combined with a strong continuous backend motion, gave this ball more overall hook. The Fate is a little too quick response to friction for me to have it be the first ball out of my bag. However, when the big assymetricals are burning up and the solid symmetricals aren’t going through the pins the right way to carry the corners. The first pearl ball out of the bag is the Storm Fate. The Fate will allow me to stay in the oil and throw to the dry part of the lane without having to worry if it will make it back to the pocket. This is a great ball for every medium oil volume lane condition.

The newest ball in the Jason Belmonte line features the REX coverstock with the new F-8 Core. This is hands down my favorite ball in the Belmonte line. I drilled mine 5 1/2 x 4 x 3, and out of the box, this ball clears the fronts and mids so easily while having a controllable, but strong backend reaction. For me it is a little too skid flippy to start out league with, but by the middle of the second game, when the track dries out, is where this ball shines. This ball reminds me of the Hyroad Pearl, but a little more controlled on the backend. I also tried changing the surface by putting a 1000 grit, just to see how it would react. This helped the ball pick up a little quicker in the mids, but did not sacrifice any backend reaction.
Do not miss out on the newest ball in the signature Jason Belmonte Line.

The Fate is a Belmo’s newest collaboration with Storm. Inside the fate they are using the F-8 core which is the highest differential they have ever used in any of Belmo’s collaborations. They wrapped it with the REX coverstock which is one of the strongest covers in the storm line. This combination for me provided a strong and very dependable motion. Even though it is a pearl I saw amazing mid lane control which made it very predictable for me downlane. The Fate is a perfect transition piece for me on heavier to medium conditions. When I start to see some of my balls read the lane a little too soon then I switch to Fate and 9 times out of 10 it ends up being the perfect choice because it still has the strength of the bigger balls but because of the pearl cover it allows it to get through the fronts a little easier. But all in all if you’re looking for a strong symmetrical piece with good dependability on fresh to semi fresh conditions then you would love a Fate! #StormNation

Belmo's newest release with Storm has the looks, but does it have the touch? If you need something to get down lane easily without sacrificing backend power this is what you are looking for. Sometimes it can get a tad jumpy on me but when it is the look, it is THE LOOK. I have also noticed it likes to be clean, if I don't keep up on my ball maintenance I don't love the look I start to get from it. It can be unpredictable at times but never enough to take it out of play. Great ball for a house shot in particular.
