Reactive solid with the Ordinance core is a perfect blend to this benchmark symmetrical. A step up earlier reaction from the IQ Tour, the Xponent is an ideal selection as the first ball out of the bag. The Xpoenent will be good for those medium oil conditions when control is at a premium. This fits between a IQ Tour and Summit in terms of performance. If the Summit is too much and the Tour is not enough the Xponent will fit that slot. These type of balls should be in every players bag.

The Xponent is a new and improved version of a shape originally provided by the Ordnance C4. The low RG, medium DIFF solid symmetrical fills a very important gap between the IQ Tour Solid and the higher diff solid symmetricals like the Phaze 2 or the TNT. This ball is perfect for starting a little more direct on a more blended pattern, or for blending out the wet/dry of many house shots. The Xponent is a huge addition to our current product line. This ball fills a very important gap and provides a squarely medium symmetrical solid that compliments several pieces in our current product line. The Xponent has a spot in everyone's bag!

Review:
The 900 Global Xponent is the newest ball in the 700 line. This ball features the shrapnel 2.0 symmetrical core found in the Ordnance C4 and the new reserve blend 701 solid. This ball is going to be a great benchmark ball for all bowlers and a great step down from the Storm Summit, Phaze 2, or the Roto Grip TNT. The new reserve blend 701 features new additive technology inside of proven coverstock tech. What I found is this ball is something that reads in the later part of the fronts along with great read in the mids to create a smoother backend motion. If you had a C4 and are looking for a ball that is a little bit more overall this will be your ball. It is also going to pair great with the 900 Global Zen gold label for a 1-2 punch. I was very excited when I heard the announcement of this ball as I really liked the Ordnance C4. The Shrapnel 2.0 core is brought back in the Xponent from the Ordnance series which was a proven winner. The cover is the brand new reserve blend 701 solid which can handle a decent amount of oil and is very continuous down lane. Best designed for medium oil conditions, the Xponent will be that benchmark ball that is first out of the bag on a variety of different conditions. I was able to test this on the Kegel Sphinx sport pattern which a 40ft, 2:1 ratio with medium oil volume as well as a typical house pattern.
On the Kegel Sphinx pattern, I saw a lot of continuation on the middle and back part of the pattern. The 4000 grit abralon surface allowed for easy push through the front of the lane while the low rg core got it to rev up strong in the midlane. The combination of cover and core here allows for easy predictability when the lanes are tough, or the pattern is fresh. The 4000 grit is definitely best suited for older lane surfaces or those who are more rev dominant or have slower speed. The continuation is so good with this ball that it is a ball for me that will come to all tournaments. On the pattern, I was able to play closer to the friction and more down and in on the fresh. As the pattern developed and I had to move to the inside part of the lane, I had no problem getting recovery and the right continuation through the pins. This is a slightly weaker Phaze 2 for me and reacts very similarly. Bringing the surface to a lower grit will help on more oil or if the ball feels too weak at 4000 grit.
On the house pattern, I saw very similar reaction to the Sphinx Pattern. The Xponent allowed me to be up the lane more on the fresh with a little more firmer ball speed or the ability to play more left to right on the lane with my normal style. There is very high versatility with this Xponent where it will allow you to play the lanes for your style and environment. Compared to the Ordnance C4, I saw slightly earlier ball motion and more continuation through the pins. Compared to the Zen, I saw slightly cleaner motion through the front part of the lane and a more controlled backend. The Zen was overall stronger and gave more backend angle. The Xponent is definitely that benchmark ball that is smooth, continuous and predictable. A great first ball out of the bag for a wide range of bowlers. The blue color scheme also looks really well going down the lane.

The new addition to the 700 series of 900 Global balls is call the Xponent. The Xponent features
a new solid coverstock called Reserve Blend 701 Solid. I'm already a big fan of this cover as most of
the newer solid coverstocks have made it difficult for me to get the ball through the front of the lane
where I bowl. This ball clears the front well and gives good consistant mid-lane motion. They paired
this cover with the Shrapnel 2.0 Symmetric core that was featured in the Ordinance C4. This pairing
has created the best benchmark ball I've thrown to date.
I tested the Xponent on the house shot at my home center. Our house pattern is longer (43 ft) and
higher volume (almost 30ml). The Xponent was great first ball out as it allowed me to play nearer
to the friction, but not over-react on my small misses right. This ball gave me more area than any
other I have thrown here, and really helped my first game average. It's also clean and continuous
enough to stay in play though the transition. Navigating the ball change from game one can be one of
trickiest parts of bowling in this particular center because they start out very cliffed and tend to carry-
down alot as you bowl. The Xponent handles the fronts drying up and the back-ends getting tighter
extremely well.
I see this ball being useful for so many different styles of player because it is useful on so many
different lane conditions. It's a great ball for starting a bit straighter than balls like the Phaze II might
let you, but you don't run into the same problems with carrying while covering boards that the balls
with really early covers give you. As a pro shop guy, this ball also makes a fantastic choice as a first
purchase and a ball you can really build an arsenal around.

The 900 Global Xponent combines the Shrapnel 2.0 core and the hand-crafted 701 Blend solid cover. We tested with the factory 4000 finish. 900 Global is committed to crafting small batches of coverstock with specific purposes in mind. Smaller batch production is an exciting twist that I am interested in learning more about. We tested the Xponent alongside the RG DUO. Both balls will be in the benchmark ball zone of your arsenal (RG = 2.28 and Diff = 0.042). We see the Xponent being a step down from your Zen or Phase II. Both the Xponent and DUO were used a lot at the recent PBA50 WSOB in Jackson, Michigan, which is a good sign.

900 Global Xponent – Shrapnel 2.0 core with Batch #701 solid reactive cover.
Layout: 55 x 4 ¼ x 40 – 4000ab out of box and tested with 2000ab.
Here we go: For the #striking worldwide fans – the Ordnance C4 core returns in this new ball from Global with the new 701 solid reactive cover. Using on fresh and used light to medium volume house pattern, the Xponent was reliable and predictable with playing up the track area and getting closer to the gutter and going up the lighter volume part the pattern – outside of 8-10 boards, once I bumped way inside around 16-20 board, it still held energy through the heads and did not burn up. Reminding me of the Zen Master with a longer pin layout I had a couple of years ago. Does not roll heavily through the front part of the lanes like other solids in this performance level. The Xponent matched up very well all on a full spectrum of lane surfaces and patterns. The Xponent can be rolled and be very useful from once-a-week league bowler all the way up to the top professional. Witnessed a very powerful collegiate bowler and I thought he would just throw it so hard it would not react, but it did – I was quite surprised by that. That just backed up my feelings that any skill level bowler can benefit from this ball.

The Xponent is benchmark in motion and explosive with hitting power, making it the best of both worlds. So, if you're a down-and-in player, the Xponent is an excellent choice to be the first ball out of your bag or the only new ball for the season.

I’ve drilled so many solid/symmetrical balls over the years it’s staggering. However, I’ve not had a tremendous amount of success lately with any that I’ve drilled up. Whether it’s layout, covers being too aggressive for my speed and or lane surface I keep finding my way back to the IQ Tour Solid.
It looks like it’s a success on all 3 tours already. Barnes, Simonsen and Diana Z have all won tournaments using it. And I’ve seen multiple other competitors use it in qualification.
The ball arrives and looks chalky, which had me concerned. Worry not, this is what I’ve been looking for. For me, I’d say that it’s about 4-5 stronger than a Tour Solid. Both balls have 5-inch pins, but the Tour Solid has a longer pin buffer (4 inches).
Was able to roll it, play the track, move right and back my hand out of it all with success. When I can do that many things with a ball, I’d expect it will appeal to a wide variety of bowlers. If you’re looking to add a new benchmark type reaction to your bag, I don’t think you’ll go wrong with this one.
I’m pleased to say this one is a home run from Global.

The Xponent features the Shrapnel 2.0 core wrapped in the reserve 701 solid cover. The Xponent screams benchmark. This is going to be a fantastic piece that can be first out of your bag to give you a read on the lanes. The !Q Tour solid had been this ball for years but with the increase in volumes on the lanes, the !Q has fallen down a couple spots in the bag. I’ve been able to throw the Xponent when I need a smoother option on medium conditions and it’s been a great ball down from my Summit.

Well 900 Global has did it. Finally with the 701 cover-stock Symmetrical ball. My guess is the updated 900 Global C4 they used to have. I loved that ball. I can't wait to throw this ball more and more. I drilled a pin up and a pin down. The pin up is a right out of the box ball! rolls great, you can actually see the ball roll and do its job! Then the pin down is a great solid ball to grab when you have to start making the moves. What I like is the pin up, I keep the lane shine on it to have the hook on the back end, Then the pin down, I keep the box finish. this will help it not want to hook as hard on the back end and rear the mid lane very easy. It's an east 3 to 5 board difference between the 2. Very nice bowling balls, and very well made!

The new 900 Global Xponent. This ball is the next installment in the 700 performance line. For me, I have found this ball to be excellent from further to the right out of box, with plenty of versatility with hand and surface adjustments. After throwing this ball on a couple of different patterns and houses. I have found that for me, the new Xponent compliments my Storm Phaze 2 perfectly, giving me and earlier option for when the Phaze 2 is a little too clean. I see a ton of commonalities in this ball when comparing it to the original IDOL. A spot in the bag that I have been looking to fill since its discontinuation. I can see this ball being in the bag for a while. I would recommend this product to anyone looking to control the front part of the lane, while maintaining energy off the end of the pattern. Get yours July 28th and remember to bowl up a storm!!

The Xponent is the newest benchmark to the 900 Global line. The shrapnel 2.0 Symmetric Core which was previously used in the Ordinance C4 wrapped in the new Reserve Blend 701 solid cover gives the ultimate medium performance in the bag. The 4000 grit finish gives you decent length with a late mid lane read and decent continuation. It fits right between an IQ tour and Phaze 2. This will match up on a variety of house conditions and medium patterns. It blended friction very well for me and never over hooked. That’s exactly what you want out of a benchmark ball!

The xPonent filled a piece that was definitely missing in my bag, which was a relatively low end solid. The core/coverstock in this ball gives me a smooth, predictable shape that is fantastic for medium to short patterns. This ball will get a lot of use on typical house shots when I can stay straighter up the lane, or on more difficult patterns when I need help getting to the pocket
Luke Rosdahl Aug 16, 2023
The XPonent is a new symmetric ball in 900 Global’s 700 series line. It features the new Reserve Blend 701 Solid coverstock, which feels similar to Storm’s R2S cover and Roto’s eTrax cover. The core is the Shrapnel 2.0 core from the Ordnance C4, which comes in at a 2.48 RG and a .042 differential. The XPonent feels a lot like a slightly stronger version of Roto’s Hyped Solid, reaction shape is part way between round and an arc and is somewhat directional. It will be continuous if you want it to be or will be forward if you want it to be. The XPonent has been used on several different conditions with a couple different surfaces.
The XPonent’s box surface is 4000, but I find that changing the box surface helps to break the ball in faster, so I resurfaced it to 1000 and then finished it with Reacta Skuff to get it to a 3000ish grit sheen. At this surface, it fit well on the fresh on the Kegel Chromium pattern we use to test. It also feels quite a bit like an IQ Tour with a stronger backend move that’s a little more versatile when moving inside. As it lane shines, it weakens and also gets a little smoother, but this is great because it offers a lot of versatility, but also tames somewhat as the lane begins to transition, which helps you stay in the same place longer, or doesn’t require you to move as often or as much.
With surface, the XPonent can definitely be a first ball out of the bag for most league conditions and is a strong consideration for most sport patterns of medium length and medium volume or below. With lane shine or polish, it can also be a step down from something like a Zen, Zen Gold Label, or a Phaze 2 both on tougher conditions and in league.

Welcome back to the land of low RG solids! It's my favorite place. 900 Global appears to have hit another home run with the Xponent. Using the same core from the Ordnance C4 but around a solid coverstock with numbers of 2.48/.042 this ball will be the first out of the bag on many, if not all, conditions. I drilled mine 4.25 x 4.25 (PAP of 4.5 over and 1 up) putting the pin below my ring finger. People have different definitions of "benchmark ball" but to me that means stable, predictable motion and the ability to easily clarify when ball changes are needed. The Xponent accomplishes all of that. I practiced on a very well used house pattern and the Xponent surprisingly cleared the fronts pretty easily (though it does want to rev up pretty quick) but didn't boomerang off the dry. The motion was very round, very steady, and very predictable. I firmly believe this will be a great piece for any style bowler looking for that type of motion.

I have been looking for that benchmark control ball in my bag from 900 Global for some time dating all the way back to the release of either the original Ordnance or Ordnance C4. I had for some time carried an IQ Tour, but with my rev rate (425+) the IQ tour at times was a little too sharp. This is where the Exponent has come into play. Laying it out 40 x 3.75 x 50, this has given me Ultimate control through the fronts and off the end of the pattern. Allowing me to see the pattern front to back instead of left to right, it has allowed me to still be able to hit the ball how I wish but know it isn't going to duck hook on me. Having for some time struggled on Medium and Flat Patterns, I know feel as if I can get the ball to the 1-3 with the best of them. If you are looking for that IQ type ball roll, but more forward off the end of the pattern, look no further than the new 900 Global Exponent.
Wow! Have I liked my Xponent a lot! Really compliments my Phaze 2 quite well. When my Phaze 2 is just a little too early, the Xponent is the perfect choice. The slightly lower differential in the Xponent help to get the ball a little further downlane before making its move but also helps to smooth out its reaction on the backend. Bridges the gap really well between my Hyped Solid and my Phaze 2! I can see this piece being in my arsenal for a while!

Hey everyone, I'm back with another ball review, and this time it's for the 900 Global Xponent!
In 15 pounds this ball is wrapped in the Batch 701 Solid Coverstock and comes with 4000 abaron and an RG of 2.48, Diff of .042.
Now that I have thrown this ball I have found it as another stronger ball to go along with balls like the Storm Summit and as I have said in other reviews being more speed than rev dominant I have found this ball to look best going straight down the track. The Xponent is not as rolly as my Summit so I did have to start moving left as I threw it. I have thrown it against the 900 Global Zen Gold Label as well and had to move right as the Zen GL is a shiny pearl with React Gloss. I see this ball being great on the fresh and after some lane shine can be a little slow so I plan to keep the surface up on this one where I will let the Summit stay lane shined.

Review:
The Xponent features the Shrapnel 2.0 Core that was almost famous but overshadowed by the original 900 Global Zen. At that time, the Ordnance C4 was well respected and came with a hybrid coverstock. The new Xponent has already made huge waves in the professional ranks.
The Xponent comes with a solid coverstock, finished at 4000 Abralon. You can expect a clean reaction through the front part of the lane. From what I see, on the HPL surfaces I bowl on, the Xponent offers a great OOB combination to ensure optimal length and backend on most of your THS conditions. For sport, the Xponent will make the bag as an option in many cases.
First thing you will notice right away with the Xponent the OOB finish provides a nice arching and continuous motion. I tested this out on THS and after about three games rolled on the Don Johnson (40') pattern. The ball is very predictable which is the true strength of the Xponent. In my opinion the Xponent goes through the pins a tad better then its predecessor the Ordnance C4. The Xponent will be a great option as a starter ball out of the bag.
For me, I'm going with the OOB surface on the Xponent. The carry potential of this ball will be something special when lanes get tougher to navigate or the backends are sharp and you are looking to blend the pattern a bit with more control. Be sure to grab the new 900 Global Xponent today!

The 900 Global Xponent has a low RG value of 2.48 a high differential of 0.042.
Benchmark Ball…. Benchmark Ball…. Benchmark Ball
900 Global came out with a Reserve Blend 701 Cover combined with the Shrapnel 2.0 Symmetric Core, the Xponent will be the first out of the bag ball to let you know if the Xponent is the right ball or if you will have to ball up or ball down.
The incredibly predictable Shrapnel 2.0 Symmetric Core is the exact same technology previously used in the Ordnance C4. This low RG/medium differential core will rev up quickly and produce a very even and continuous shape on the lane. With its single density construction, the baseline reaction this core creates will match up to a variety of styles across a broad spectrum of patterns.
Whether you have a super high rev rate or a super low rev rate, or a rev rate somewhere in the middle, this Low RG, High Differential, Symmetrical core produces a strong midlane roll and a very consistent backend reaction.
In comparison to the 900 Global Zen Gold Label, the Xponent is the poster child for a benchmark ball fits right in the middle of a Summit and the Zen Gold Label. The Zen Gold Label will be the ball down to the Xponent providing that 1-2 punch on a house condition or on tour where you need a ball for the transition / burn.
In the bag, will be the Summit, Xponent, Zen Gold Label and Hustle RIP

I got this ball and was very excited to punch it up. I put a short pin (2") layout on it, which is the first time I have ever tried something like that. I was very surprised with the smooth shape and continuation through the pins it gave me. It has earned a spot in my bag!
The new 900 Global Xponent features an all new 801 Reserve Solid coverstock with the Shrapnel 2.0 core which was last seen in the Ordinance C4. At 15 pounds, the RG is 2.48 and the differential is .042. When drilled at 5x4x2 (pin above the bridge) this ball reminds me of one of my all-time favorites from the past…the Dare Devil Trick. The Xponent is the ultimate ‘benchmark’ ball. It’s one of those type of balls that doesn’t hook the most, doesn’t have the strongest backend, but it just strikes A LOT!!! The Xponent blends out the wet/dry, it doesn’t respond too quickly when you miss in the dry to soon, and it has enough teeth to handle the puddle in the middle of the lane. This ball will be the first out of my bag every time. If it isn’t the right ball, the reaction of the Xponent will show me which other ball I need to pull out of the bag. The Xponent will get a lot of play, the only things it isn’t great on are the extremes…oil and dry, but for everything in between this ball is a winner!
Bowling with Buddy Sep 4, 2023
Hi there Bowling Fans!!! The Xponent was release 7/28 and since then it has proven to be a solid go to ball for me in so many situations. I've used it on a variety of PBA oil patterns as well as on some house shots. The one thing I can say about it is, consistent with power. I know each and every time I throw this ball, it is going to turn and drive into the pocket hard. This ball has the hitting power of a Phase II in my opinion. I've thrown some big sets with it too. I highly recommend this ball as a benchmark ball and one you should go to at the start of any bowling tournament.
I drilled my XPONENT up 4.5 x 4 x 3. This puts the ball in a pin up position just above my ring finger. I have thrown it mainly at the 4000 abr box finish. I have thrown this on regular house conditions and also in a PBA50 Regional on Steelsmith-42 pattern.
On house, I have used it to blend out the wet/dry very well. It has enough shape to roll thru the tugs into the puddle and is smooth enough to blend out the dryer part of the lane. I can use a little more hitting power doing this so I have to make sure I don't let off the fingers doing this or it is flat ten every time. On the Steelsmith-42 pattern, it was a little too early as the pattern had a lower volume for a 42 foot pattern and more of a shined ball like the 900 GLOBAL ZEN GOLD LABEL was a better option as it didn't see that up front friction the XCEPTION seen. The XCEPTION side by side with balls like the GOLD LABEL and DNA were like this: DNA was more earlier and continuous motion. While the ZEN GOLD LABEL was longer thru the fronts and more down lane than the XPONENT.
Grab an XPONENT if you want to smooth out the wet/dry of league or need something a little less than your bigger earlier hook monsters more in the middle range.

The 900 Global Xponent features the 701 reserve blend solid cover and the C4 core. I had a C4 and it was great for the shorter-medium sport patterns. When you needed control. I drilled the Xponent 55x5x40.
I bring this ball with me a lot since drilling it(yes I know I am late to the party). I will throw this ball in practice to not only break the lanes down but to also find were the lane is telling me where to play. I find that this ball is great for finding that or telling you if you need less or more ball.
I will admit that this ball is a little cleaner for a solid than anticipated. With that being said this ball has no trouble getting through the fronts. Reads the mid lane well and gives you control with a little bit of pop on the back end. I think this ball will be great for any tournament bowlers bag and even the average league bowlers bag.

The 900 Global Xponent is Global’s latest release that features the all-new Reserve Blend 701 solid reactive cover that’s paired with the Shrapnel 2.0 symmetric core that was found in the Ordinance C4. The intent of this core/cover combo was to create a ball with a predictable, benchmark reaction that can be the first ball out of the bag that also provides the optimal shape for medium volume lane conditions.
I drilled the Xponent with my standard drilling I use for many symmetrical balls which puts the pin above my ring finger with the CG kicked to the right. After throwing it for a few games, I definitely think the folks at 900 Global nailed the design intent of the Xponent. For me, it’s a medium-strong ball with a very continuous motion throughout the entire lane – which is exactly what I look for in a benchmark ball. The Reserve Blend 701 solid cover is strong enough that it still reads the reads the lane when in oil, and when it sees friction the medium strength Shrapnel 2.0 core helps the ball to roll off the dry instead of jerking too hard. What’s also great is that the Xponent is adaptable to different hand positions, so if I stay behind it a bit more it responds accordingly by going more forward, but if I have a stronger hand position it will come harder off the spot. By comparison, the OG Zen is a bit stronger overall, and the Zen Gold Label is cleaner with a sharper backend.
The Xponent is a great addition to the 900 Global lineup and fits the bill of a solid benchmark ball. All players need a ball like this in their bag that gives them a predictable motion for league as well as tournaments.

The all new Xponent has fast become one of my favorites. This ball is a great piece that fits perfectly between my Phase 2 and !Q tour. The Xponent features the all-new Reserve Blend 701 Cover has been paired with the Shrapnel 2.0 Symmetric Core to create an optimal shape for a benchmark ball. I see a lot of versatility with this bal which is what I want out of a benchmark ball. I am able to play straight angles and I am also able to move left and open up the lane while not sacrificing ball motion. I have no doubt that this ball will be in my arsenal for a long time.

The new 900 Global Xponent is the next must have ball in everybody's bag. This has turned into my benchmark ball and is usually the firts ball out of my bag. It has a very smooth reaction that's picks up well in the midlane but smooth's out on the backend, but carries the corners very well. The ball is very predicable and smooth with its out of box finish, so I wanted to try it with a little shine on it and I was not disappointed. It is much cleaner through the midlane but really breaks off the friction down lane. I compare this ball to one of my favorites, The Ordiancne C4. The Xponent is smoother out of the box than the C4 but overall a bit stronger. I feel the Xponent is a great replacement for the C4 in my bag.
I have some strong words for this ball! The Xponent has risen to the level of my favorite benchmark ball EVER!
I just can’t believe how versatile this ball is. When people come to my shop asking about it, I put it up against balls such as the Idol and Phaze2. I tend to say something on the lines of, If the Idol and Phaze2 were combined, you would have the Xponent. Early in the life of the Xponent, people would compare it to the original !Q, but I don’t see it.
I see it as being cleaner and more angular than an Idol, but not as clean and angular as a Phaze2. Although I can absolutely get left with this ball at the end of a block and it doesn’t have an issue coming off the dry and still generating angle to carry. A lot of times, you can only get so far left with a solid before it burns up and/or isn’t able to generate the angle to carry, not with this ball!
The Xponent does it all. For me, this ball is a MUST in the arsenal! I no longer carry a Phaze2 because of this ball!
The layout for my Xponent is 5x5x2
Other balls in the bag:
Zen Dark Label- 5x5x2 (pin up) box surface
Zen Dark Label- 4.5x4.5x3.75 (pin down) 3k surface
Virtual Energy Black Out- 5x4x2 box surface
Hustle RIP- 5x5x2 box surface
The Xponent is a great house shot ball and a filler ball when you have a gap in your arsenal for medium patterns that is more smooth. Even though this ball is designed to be more smooth I drilled mine stronger with a sharper pin buffer
4 3/4 x 5 x 1 just to give me a lil more forgiveness if I miss at the bottom or leak it too far left. The Xponent is a great compliment if you had a 3 ball arsenal with 900 Global Reality for heavy oil, 900 Global Eternity/Eternity Pi for medium-heavy oil and 900 Global Xponent for medium oil.
In league I have been able to use it all 3 games in a typical lefty fashion standing 20 and rolling it down 2nd arrow and just walks to the pocket. Once the lanes start to change then I would move my feet right 4-5 boards aiming to 13-14 at the arrows and with the buffer being 1 inch it helps it recover down lane when I get around it. I have not used it much in tournaments but I can see it being a ball to change to after 1-2 games (living in California/bay area). The Xponent is a ball I can see you can’t go wrong having in your bag!

Benchmark. Versatile. Consistent. Those three descriptions are perfect for the new 900 Global Xponent. This ball lives in the 700 series, meaning mid-level performance but very compatible with all types of styles, rev-rates, and angles. The RG comes in at 2.48, has a differential of .042, and it’s wrapped with a 701 solid coverstock. The core is symmetrical and so far I’ve been extremely impressed with the Xponent.
I’ve drilled two so far but the one I’ve had the most success with is mapped out as 5 x 3.5 with a 4’ pin buffer. This puts the pin below my bridge with a decent shift of the CG. I used it right out of the box and let oil create a lane-shine finish. I think the closest comparison to this ball is a Phaze II. Comparing the two, I believe the Xponent reads the lane just as early, but I have the response time quicker. That could explain the differential between the two balls. With a lower differential, the Xponent sees friction a little faster and creates a quicker response time.
Across several different patterns and surfaces, I’ve had a ton of success with the Xponent as one of the first balls out of my bag. It compliments the Eternity Pi, Zen Gold Label, and DNA really well.
If you’re looking for a strong, benchmark piece to add to your league or tournament bag, go drill the Xponent by 900 Global!

The 900 Global Xponent is a meticulously crafted ball that combines the best of old and new technologies to create a versatile and reliable benchmark piece. The ball features the Shrapnel 2.0 symmetric core, which has a low RG and medium differential to rev up quickly and produce a smooth and continuous motion down the lane. The coverstock is the Reserve Blend 701 solid, which is a new formulation that offers a balanced blend of traction and backend. The ball is finished with a 4000-grit Abralon surface, which makes it ideal for medium lane conditions. The 900 Global Xponent is a ball that can handle a variety of patterns and transitions, and provide a consistent and predictable shape on the lane. Whether you are looking for a first ball out of the bag or a go-to ball for any situation, the 900 Global Xponent is a ball that you can trust and enjoy the high scores.
Ordnance C4 replacement? ABSOLUTELY!
I typically play what the lanes dictate, so this ball has the versatility to accommodate all levels of bowlers. Predictable and trustworthy is how I feel about the
X-Ponent. I have only used on THS in league and several local tournaments in different centers and it has become my go to ball when the big asymmetrical and symmetrical balls lose carry. The low RG (2.48), medium DIFF.(0.042) and the New 701 Blend solid cover blends out the wet/dry issues I have encountered. Same shape for me as the C4 but more forgiving than my IQ Tour for my game.

I drilled my Exponent pin down below the bridge, exactly like my Phaze 2. I see this ball being a few feet longer and a touch sharper down lane than the phaze 2 but still the same forward motion. I am typically using this ball game 2 to start and if I am lucky first few shots into the third game.

The 900 Global Xponent is the newest edition in the 700 series line, and it does not disappoint. I drilled my Xponent 4.75x4x4 2ls as that is my benchmark layout for symmetric balls. This ball offers an insane amount of versatility and control that I have never seen in another ball. It is hard to compare it to anything else in the SPI lineup, but for me it is a cross between an IQ Tour Solid and the Phaze 2. Whether you need to play up the boards or stand farther left on transition or burn, the Xponent is not going to let you down.
Bowler Stats:
Speed: 15.5 MPH
Rev Rate: 275 RPM
Tilt: 3-5 degrees
Axis Rotation: 60 degrees
PAP: 5 ⅜ over 1 ¼ up
Layout: 4 ¾ X 4 ½ X 2 ¼ VLS
The 900 Global Xponent is in the benchmark category when comparing it to the Phaze II and Summit. I drilled this piece with a stronger layout for bowling the PBA50 Tour. Out of box this ball is slightly weaker than my Phaze II and also slower off the end of the pattern where the Phaze II has more continuous motion.
On the house shot the Xponent is not a ball I can move left and swing the lane with. I need to keep my angles shallower towards my target and get help from the dry at the end of the pattern. I did have success using the Xponent on the Monacelli 40’ PBA pattern during the Lightning Strikes PBA 50 National Tour event on the fresh.
With the surface of the Xponent I scratched it with a 1000 abralon by hand and I have let it shine up by itself. This has helped blend the wet/dry on the house pattern which has more volume than the PBA 50 patterns.

The Xponent is currently the only ball in the 700 series, so based on that, it should be in the mid-level performance range, perfect for a benchmark ball - not too diggy early and not too flippy in the back end. The Xponent provides a nice consistent read, which allows it to be versatile, but I feel most comfortable playing straighter lines right of 3rd arrow. I could see this as a great ball to keep me out of trouble on tougher challenge and sport conditions.

The 900 Global Xponent is my new benchmark ball in my bag. I am extremely happy that this ball came out. I had the C4 and wished it had just a little more length and a little more backend and that is what the Xponent just gave me. Not did this ball also give me the length and backend that I wanted but I am also able to have a very controllable and predictable ball in my hand. I have not seen so much miss room out of a ball until I threw the Xponent. The hitting power out of this ball is ridiculous. I am so happy that 900 Global has rejuvenated the C4 and made Xponent everything that I have been looking for.

The 900 Global Xponent is the definition of a benchmark bowling ball, which makes it one of the most versatile balls available. It is best at home at medium oil patterns, is clean through the fronts, and has a smooth arc motion in the midlane and backend. It is clean enough in the front part of the lane to use on medium-dry lane conditions, which isn't always the case with bowling balls with solid coverstocks. The easiest and most valid comparison for the Xponent is the Storm IQ Tour Solid, and I do think they are quite similar. The stronger core of the Xponent gives it a slightly different shape, but the overall amount of motion is very similar. This ball is a great piece to build an arsenal around.

Great benchmark ball
Layout: 50x5x50 / 5x4.25x2.75
Two hander, 450 rpm, 15.5 mph
This ball surpassed all my expectations and has been one of the most versatile balls ive thrown this year. Its definitely a perfect middle-of-the-bag type of ball, got plenty of options above and below it. I think it fits between a Phaze II and an IQ Tour, just clean, smooth, and medium strength. I can use it on different houses, different sport shots (especially the short/medium length ones or once it starts to dry up but the backends are still tight), straight or hooking the whole lane, handled surface and shine well, etc.. it was just a super versatile ball that worked best when you needed a bit of an early rolling and smooth reaction.

The 900 Global Xponent is the best example of a benchmark in the current Global line (in my humble opinion). At a 4000 grit finish, an RG of 2.48 and a very medium differential of 0.042, it's an extremely predictable motion throughout every part of the lane and easily the first ball out of many bags. I drilled mine 5 3/4 x 4 x 2, and it's the smoothest ball in my bag outside of urethane. For the cliffed up house shots or anything medium volume, this is the one. The upcoming Xponent Pearl should complement this extraordinarily well and allow you to stay in your comfort zone just a little longer by using both as a 1-2 combo.

The 900 Global Xponent features the Shrapnel 2.0 symmetrical core with the All New Reserve Blend 701 cover. The Shrapnel Core was last featured in the Ordnance C4. But the coverstock had yet to be seen before the Xponent. For the most part the Xponent reminded me a lot of the Ordnance C4 but better in my opinion. The Xponent offers me an amazing benchmark type reaction that is a little less overall than the Phaze 2 but a little bit earlier and smoother than say an IQ Tour Solid. If I am going to be honest the Xponent for me has not been amazing on a house shot. The IQ tour is definitely a better option for me. But on any sport pattern it is the exact opposite. The Xponent has became one of my go to’s on anything hard. But I will say all because it’s that way for me doesn’t mean it will be that way for you. Everybody is different and even if one ball doesn’t match up for you doesn’t mean it won’t match up for somebody else! I will end my review on this. If you are looking for a good all around bench mark ball then look no further than the 900 Goobal Exponent!

I am a higher speed, rev challenged 220-250ish, high tilt, high rotation, and super low track player. I drilled 900 Global Xponent 5 x 3 x 2 and my axis point is 3 ¼ right and 7/8 up. The 900 Global Xponent symmetric solid reactive piece that I really like medium/low volume patterns where there’s lots of friction . The low Rg and medium diff gives this ball medium- high flare potential when I need something to be clean, smooth, and controllable this is the ball to go to.

I just started back after 13 years away from the game and rolled a 236 during my 3rd game with this ball, don't think I need to say much more.
