Performance Analysis
Performance Analysis
Testing on the Kegel Chromium Challenge pattern revealed the Brunswick Beyond Infinity to be a remarkably forgiving asymmetric pearl that combines heavy rolling characteristics with clean lane readability. Independent reviewers observed the ball exhibited a gradual, climbing continuous backend motion—heavy and slightly tumbling rather than sharp or punchy—that produced consistent pin action even when thrown from multiple angles and trajectories. The polished reactive pearl coverstock generated earlier, smoother reactions compared to the original hybrid Beyond, while the mild asymmetric core (2.52 RG, 0.51 differential) allowed the ball to get down the lane efficiently without excessive torque. Most notably, the ball demonstrated exceptional forgiveness; reviewers found themselves striking consistently despite intentionally poor mechanics and off-timing, underscoring the ball’s stability and forgivability across various release conditions.
Comparative testing showed the Beyond Infinity occupies a distinct niche in the mid-heavy strength segment. It tracked similarly to legacy pearls like Rogue Grips’ No Rules Pearl but with noticeably more backend aggression and cover strength. Against modern equipment, it proved measurably stronger and earlier than the Pure Madness (positioning it as a logical precursor ball) while offering a heavier, more controlled motion compared to balls like the Theorem, which testers described as cleaner and more flippy. The Beyond’s versatility emerged as a key strength—it responded well whether bowlers needed to push it from straighter angles or lay back and use revrate to create angle, making it capable of serving as either a fresh-condition workhorse or a stepping-stone between heavier benchmark balls during transition phases.
Who Is This Ball For?
The Beyond Infinity is ideally suited for intermediate to advanced bowlers seeking a dependable, versatile pearl asymmetric that bridges the gap between entry-level and heavy-oil equipment. Its forgiving nature and heavy roll make it especially valuable for lower-revrate bowlers who need a ball with sufficient core dynamics to move predictably without requiring excessive axis rotation, while the controllable backend response also accommodates higher-revrate players looking to avoid over-reaction on medium conditions. The ball excels as either a first-line fresh-oil offering when stepping up from lighter equipment or as a reliable secondary ball during mid-session transition.
This ball will particularly appeal to competitive league and tournament bowlers who value consistency and adaptability in a single piece. Its clean but not overly aggressive motion suits bowling centers with varying lane conditions, and its moderate price point ($169.95) makes it an attractive option for bowlers building a varied arsenal. The Beyond Infinity is less ideal for those seeking maximum angular backend snap or for high-revrate players prioritizing sharper motion; in those cases, stronger asymmetrics would be more suitable. However, for bowlers prioritizing strike consistency, lane coverage, and the ability to shape shots from different breakpoints without constantly changing equipment, this ball delivers reliable performance.
The Pros
- • Activator Xtreme Hook Pearl cover provides excellent length with strong backend
- • Asymmetric Infinity core at 2.52 RG pushes far down lane before transitioning
- • Complements the Infinity Quest as a longer, more angular option
The Cons
- • Pearl cover may not grip enough on fresh heavy oil
- • Higher RG means less midlane read for bowlers who need an earlier roll

The Infinity Quest looks as good as it does on the lanes as it does on the shelf. With the HK22C- Evo Solid cover its proven you don’t need to sacrifice looks for performance. This shiny solid offers more length with a faster response off the friction given you more angular motion than you may be used to.
I haven't gotten it drilled yet, but I'm going to get it drilled ao I can practice with it and get ready for my tournament next month.

This ball has a unique motion and with the proper surface it is very versatile. The Infinity Quest allows me to start to move left and go around the lane once significant carry down has started. If pearl bowling balls are too responsive and late but solid balls are too early and too slow the Infinity Quest is the perfect ball to fill the gap.
