Brunswick Knock Out Review

First ball out of the bag currently. For me this ball is the perfect prelude to the Jab. If it's just a little more juiced on the lanes then expected. This ball will give you that continuation that you desire out of a solid symmetrical ball. Definitely recommend this ball

Here is my take on the new Brunswick Knock Out which is currently available. The new Knock Out features the ever versatile, symmetrical Melee core wrapped by a Black Savvy Hook 3.0 Solid cover Box finish is 2000 Siaair and has a 2 year warranty. My “vitals” are a 405 rev rate with a PAP of 5 9/16 over and 1/8 up. I drilled my Knock Out with a 40 x 6 x 25 layout and have thrown it at box surface on Kegel Winding Road, Kegel Tungsten and THS. The Melee core balls such as the Jab SE and the Jab Blood Red have quickly become among my favorite Brunswick symmetrical core equipment. Each one of the above balls have shown length which a very defined/sharp backend motion which is critical when trying to go left to right on a pattern on the right side. So, when the Knock Out was announced, I was eager to try it. The Knock Out, as would be expected from a solid with a duller surface, showed a little earlier and smoother motion compared to a similarly drilled Jab Blood Red. That being said, the Knock Out still showed that defined and sharp motion across all fresh patterns listed above. From what I have seen, the Knock out will be at its best on medium to heavier volume patterns and depending on speed, a variety of pattern distances. Brunswick has a great combination here when looking for a symmetrical piece of equipment that will go left to right with confidence and continuation. On fresh, start with a Knock Out and when the pattern breaks down/transitions, go to a Jab Blood Red. A home run to start 2021 off right. The new Knock Out is the perfect compliment to the Melee Jab. The stronger coverstock takes really well to surface adjustments to let you play on a variety of lane conditions. Super versatile ball that will be the perfect benchmark piece in most arsenals. Grab this ball and I promise you won't regret it. I mean it is black and it has a Melee core...what more can you want?

What a ball. This ball does whatever you want it to do. Complete control and just amazing control from the time you release the ball until it hits the pins. Just a clean ball, great performance, and just continuous movement. There isn't enough positive adjectives to say about this ball other than it is amazing.

Brunswick has hit it out of the park with the Knockout! I'm not sure what took me so long to drill one. This ball is the perfect benchmark. Rolls incredibly well. I love how it reacts off of the spot. Smooth not flippy. It has become the first ball out of my bag. Tournament bowlers will love this ball. Really gives you a great read of what the oil pattern is wanting. The Knockout has kept the streak alive for me, and that is show me a black cover ball that isn't good! Thank you Brunswick!!

I know this seems very cliché but this ball really is a Knock Out. I drilled mine my favorite symmetrical layout of 4 x 30 It is a nice benchmark symmetrical that gets down lane without much effort and is strong off the spot and hits hard. I think this is going to be a small step down from my Bonus solid and a little earlier than my Bonus Pearl. It fits nicely in there. If you a fan of striking get one of these.

I am a big fan of the Melee core so I was super excited when the Knockout came out. The Knockout has the Melee core with the Savvy hook 3.0 solid cover stock. The layout I used was 55 x 5 x 25. Compared to the Melee Jab Blood Red, the Knockout hooks earlier in the front part of the lane with a smoother motion on the back end. I cannot go as left to right on a fresh house pattern as I can with the Melee Jab Blood Red but I am definitely further left than most due to the core and cover of the Knockout. The Knockout will need to see some oil and is a definite first ball out of the bag contender on your typical house shot. Once the lanes start to transition and you need to go more left to right on the pattern you can switch to the Melee Jab Blood Red which is a very good 1-2 combination of bowling balls.

The Brunswick Knock Out is very easy to read and very smooth. Great first ball out of the bag for sure. It is a strong symmetric ball that is clean through the front of the lane with a rounded shape down lane. Very consistent. Very happy with this release!

If you’re in the market for a symmetric solid that is cleaner than most for when the lanes have transitioned, or you bowl on in a higher friction house the Brunswick Knockout is a definite ball to look at. The Knockout has become one of my favorites when I need a little more shape down lane, or after a couple games have been bowled as it continues real well through the pins.

The Knock Out is easy to get through the fronts, picks up well in the midlane and is very continuous in the backend. Really blends out patterns well allowing me to keep the ball more in front of me yet has nice shape while swinging it as the block goes on.

The Knockout is exactly that! Brunswick got it right with this ball as this ball gives me versatility. This bowling ball is strong, angular, and continuous all in one. I can play the lane by keeping my angles in front of me or I can open up the lane and swing the ball without any loss in performance or hitting power. The layout I have on the ball is 65 x 4.5 x 30. This is a great ball for your league bowlers and perfect for tournament play.

This is a great benchmark ball. It is smooth and recovers well off the friction, if you like the Melee Jab you will love this ball. Starts up earlier then the Melee but has a smooth mid lane read that I like. Great bench mark ball out of your bag. It is truly an all purpose ball you can use in all types of conditions. I’m able to play to the right until transition hits and can still get around the ball and carry the corners when the lanes break down.

This balls gives me everything I look for in a benchmark ball. Great Body in the mid-lane. Very continuous through the pins. It allows me to move when they get too dry and never loses the energy. I have found I have the most miss room with this ball. If I pull it, it won't over hook and if I miss a little right it doesn't bail on me going through the pins. I find it blends out the patterns in transition very well.
