Hammer Web Pearl Review
While no longer in production, the Hammer Web Pearl remains a solid option on the used market for bowlers seeking reliable performance on medium-heavy oil. The combination of the Spheroid Core and Aggression Pearl coverstock delivers consistent backend motion with good control.
[Music] anybody out there charles engineer uh today bringing you the hammer web pearl uh i think this is gonna be like i hope people don't sleep on this one definitely kind of fits in my bag uh right under something like a um redemption hybrid uh i could see following it up because that's such a bigger cover bigger core combination but definitely stronger than that raw series compared to web pro
to the raw solid and you'll kind of see that uh i'll leave leave a couple more week sevens with the raw solid just not getting around the corner as fast from those particular angles continuation on this ball is ridiculous i drilled a blue red and i kind of like this one my favorite i'm favoring this one a lot more now just off my immediate uh throw it and seeing what it does [Music]
so as my bag is currently constructed um i have a strata height a strata or xenon those kind of i kind of interchange those two balls um then i step down to a strata hybrid or even a redemption hybrid and then i go to my proof my proof line of equipment and i feel like this ball comes right in after that a little bit cleaner uh against symmetry versus asymmetric um and it just gives me that that can that continuation uh still it's gonna be a little faster on down lane with this pearl cover stock which
again in this video like it kind of gave me the best of both worlds in my opinion as far as sharp but you know continuation and readable like at times the jab was too sharp for me um i drilled them slightly differently but not too far off uh the layout on this one is 55 55 by 4 by 50. uh just kind of middle of the road give me more of a benchmark type of reaction uh not too far in any one direction i'm kind of in the middle of the pack you
know with rev rate you expect up today i'm averaging like a 400 low 400 red ray guy uh off my hand 18 between 18 to 17 miles per hour you know 15 at the pins uh so that's kind of my stats and how i i lined up um but yeah like i enjoyed this ball uh put your favorite layout on it i hear chris bean said it all the time put your look put your favorite layout on it man and and you're off off to the races like it comment share it if you want to see something
else uh let me know charles hutcherson and i am out until next time alright later
Performance Analysis
Performance Analysis
Testing revealed the Hammer Web Pearl delivers strong continuation and backend motion on medium-heavy oil patterns, positioning it as a capable step-down option in most bowlers’ arsenals. Independent reviewers observed that the reactive pearl coverstock generates noticeably more skid than the Raw Solid counterpart, allowing the ball to drive through the pins with impressive carry. On the test pattern, the Web Pearl demonstrated readable mid-lane motion without over-skidding in the heads, making it responsive to layout adjustments. The symmetric core design proved versatile—reviewers drilled multiple layouts and found the ball performed best with mid-range RG specifications (testers used 55x55x4x50) that balanced shape and continuation rather than pushing too hard in any single direction.
The ball’s pearl cover produced a distinctive performance characteristic: sharper angles than hybrid covers, yet cleaner through the oil than solid coverstock options. Testers noted that while the initial jab could feel aggressive from certain release angles, minor layout tweaks effectively controlled the reaction. When compared directly to solid-cover equipment in the same core family, the Web Pearl recovered later downlane and offered more length before making its move. This balance between length and angular motion made it a practical choice for medium-to-high rev bowlers operating in the 400 RPM range with ball speeds around 17-18 mph, filling a gap between heavier oil equipment and lower-RG benchmarking pieces.
Who Is This Ball For?
The Hammer Web Pearl suits bowlers who need a dependable mid-stage tool that doesn’t require constant surface adjustments. Players carrying equipment for medium-heavy to heavy oil conditions will find this ball slots naturally between asymmetric high-performance pieces and pure benchmark equipment—ideal for competitive leagues or sport shot patterns where versatility matters. The symmetric core keeps drilling options straightforward and forgiving, so bowlers uncomfortable with complex layouts can still dial in their preferred reaction.
This ball works best for rev rates in the 350–450 RPM range with moderate-to-higher ball speeds. If you average in the low 400s and tend toward pearl covers for their length and continuation, the Web Pearl delivers without the guesswork. Bowlers tired of over-skid or those frustrated by covers too mild for medium oil will appreciate its readable motion and pin action.

Here is what I saw! WEB PEARL:The Web Pearl is a touch cleaner than Rhodman Prl and to me it sees the pattern in the proper spot (because of my tilt etc) where I felt if I got a little quick and steep with Rhodman prl it would roll forward somewhat where the web pearl absolutely goes around that!!
The Web line is now Complete, with the addition of the Web Tour and Web hybrid, the Pearl version was the only cover left to complete an already amazing line of balls. The Web Pearl gives me the ability to keep my lines predictable and straighter. I have found this ball to work great on the higher friction surfaces like HPL lane beds, on the fresh and as they break down. I hit mine with a 3000 pad and like to use it when I play them straighter on fresh. I could see how this ball could work great on a lot of different situations for lane surface and medium to medium light patterns. If you have a Flawless and need something stronger, this is your ball. If you already have the other 2 Web balls, then you should definitely add this one to your bag. Or if you just need a great predictable pearl ball, then look no farther, you've found your ball!! I absolutley love the Web & Web Tour released last year. These are so versatile for alot of patterns. The new Web Pearl follows those balls by offering a much cleaner ball through the fronts and allows me to open up my angles when the Web is burning up. The special thing about the Web Pearl is that offers a big backend motion, yet controllable as well. For me the Web Pearl rolls about 3-5 boards overall compared to my trusty Rhodman Pearl and can handle a little more oil too with the stronger coverstock. Web Pearl will be a great compliment to your bag when you need to chase the oil inside later in house or tournament patterns. Get yours today!
Here is my take on the new Hammer Web Pearl. The new Web Pearl features a Black/Silver Pearl Aggression Pearl cover with the symmetrical Spheroid core. Factory finish is 1000 Abralon with Factory Finish Polish. My "vitals" are a 405 rev rate with a PAP of 5 9/16 over and 1/8 up. I drilled the Web Pearl with a 40 x 4 ?
Very similar to the rhodman pearl, picks up a little harder in the midlane very nice ball
