The Absolute Power features the Sentinel core surrounded by the R2S Deep Solid Coverstock. This is the solid version of the Absolute, which will give more midlane read while maintaining its confident back-end reaction when compared to the original. Storm Absolute Power Ball Review
Layout:
VLS-5x4x2
Dual Angle 50x5x30
Surface-3000 grit
The Storm Absolute Power is a great addition to the storm lineup.
The absolute power fits between the DNA and the storm virtual energy blackout.
The absolute power will be cleaner through the fronts than the DNA will more continuation on the backend. It allows me to create more angle but it still recovers downlane.
If your virtual energy blackout is going to long or is too angular absolute power will be a great option.
Overall i feel the absolute power will be a great transistion ball when your strong heavy oil balls are too strong but the lanes aren't ready for your shiny balls.

The new Storm Absolute Power is crazy good. I just drilled mine last week and have used it in two different scenarios successfully. I chose to drill mine 70 x 5 1/4 x 30. This places the mass bias in the thumb and has created a piece that is an absolute lock in my bag.
Here are the two different scenarios… the first I played on a fresh 43 foot, 27, mill 4 to 1 ratio tournament shot, it gave me the berries when others were struggling terribly. The second scenario in which I found it useful was late on a transitioned house shot where the lanes became severely clift. The back end on the par in question had tons of carry down and I needed help to get the ball to finish correctly through the deck. in both instances, I had my competitors eyes bugging out of their heads at the reaction I was able to create while they continued struggle.
I can’t say enough good things at this point about this ball. It is an upgrade from what was already a good piece in the original Absolute.
You should strongly consider adding this to your own arsenal if you bowl competitively or find yourself in either of the two scenarios that I described earlier.

The Absolute Power is a ball that I think will be a very unique piece in the Storm line. The Absolute Power features the same Sentinel Core that was in the original Absolute, except this time it is wrapped with Storm’s R2S Deep coverstock which is a weaker solid coverstock. For a player like myself (rev dominant player), this combination is a gamechanger. This ball has allowed me to throw a stronger asymmetric ball closer to the friction than I typically have been able to in the past. Typically if I am too close to the friction with bigger asyms they lock up and go forward, however, the Absolute Power doesn't lock up; it blends through the friction and goes through the pins extremely well! I am very excited about this piece and I am looking forward to using this ball more in the future. Go to your local VIP pro shop and pick up one for yourself today!
Dual Angle: 45 x 4.5 x 75
VLS: 4.5 x 4 x 4.25
Layout: 5 x 3.5 x 2.5 and 5 x 4.5 x 4.5
Surface: 4000 Abralon
The New Absolute Power brings back the Sentinel Core with the new R2S deep Solid Coverstock. When this ball was announced, I was pretty excited for it because the lane surfaces in the North East tend to be older and hook earlier. This makes using the stronger solid coverstocks tough to use in general. The R2S deep solid coverstock is much cleaner through the front than the DNA while still being strong in the midlane. This is a perfect combination for me because it gets through the front part of the lane and continues better through the pins well as a result. I have drilled a pin up and pin down version of this ball.
The pin up version is still clean through the front but reads the midlane significantly stronger than the pin down version. This make the ball about 2-3 boards overall stronger. The pin up version will be better on fresh or where there is more volume on the lane on older lane surfaces.
The pin down version is naturally smoother and slightly cleaner in the front part of the lane. The smoothness actually allows for more versatility and can be used on both the fresh and the transition depending on the lane conditions. On my typical 44ft House Pattern, I prefer the pin down one as it continues better than the pin up version. If you have a little lower rev rate or ball speed but need a stronger ball that doesn't burn up as fast as a DNA, a pin up Absolute Power definitely makes sense. Drilling this pin down makes more sense on lighter oil conditions or higher rev rates when more control is needed.
Storm Absolute Power Review
Storm's new release the Absolute Power has been a surprising addition to my bag so far. The combination of the single density Sentinel core and the R2S Deep cover come together to create an an upper tier asym that still shapes quite well downlane especially when compared to other asym solids like the Roto Grip Gems, and Global 900 Eternity Pi.
The Absolute Power falls just below my Eternity Pi but above my Phaze II and Summit Peak in terms of strength in my lineup. It's strong enough to start with on the fresh, but still versatile and clean enough to chase the shot in with it if needed as well and still shape downlane.
Overall I have found this one way more usable for me on the conditions I see over the stronger asyms, and I think most types of bowlers will see this as well!

Storm’s new Absolute Power is a Solid Asymmetric Piece. This piece is good for Heavy Oil Patterns. PAP is 5 5/16 R 1 3/16 Up. Rev Rate: 400. Speed: 16.5. Drilled this piece with the Pin Up between the Fingers, the CG kicked out 1” from the palm, and the Mass Bias 1” right of the thumb. Out of Box ball motion started in the mids with continuous backend motion. If the Phaze II was a Asym piece, this would be it. I compared this to the Storm Super Nova (1-1 Right) and IQ Tour (2-2 Right). This will be a good 1st ball out of the bag to start a block. If you are looking for a heavy oil Bowling ball that continues one the backend this is it.

Review:
The Absolute Power features the R2S DEEP coverstock which stands for Delayed Energy for Enhanced Performance. In layman's terms this simply means the R2S coverstock will pick up later on the lane compared to previous versions of R2S. This should create more of an angular reaction downlane.
Taking into consideration the above the shop decided to go with a short pin to PAP layout on the Absolute Power. For more information you can reference Storm's 2LS Poster Layouts #2 for more details. Basically this layout is good for rev dominant players and can be most effective on shorter patterns or patterns where a lot of friction is showing at the end of the pattern.
What has impressed me the most with this ball is that for having a solid finish the ball did not dig into our 41'THS immediately. Also, I did not do any cover adjustment at this time. So far this ball will shine on your lighter volume fresh patterns and medium patterns. I also feel this ball is very versatile in being able to stay in it as the lanes transition.
For me, the Absolute Power did not "lock up" as some asyms in my hand tend to do. In comparison to my DNA which I have the same layout the Absolute Power ball surface is a tad smoother and will allow me to stay in the ball a tad longer for having slower ball speed. Both the Absolute Power and/or the DNA can fill the same slot in your arsenal. Be sure to grab a Storm Absolute Power today.

The Absolute Power is our new strong asymmetric piece. Once you throw it, the reaction doesn’t look like an asymmetrical ball. It is very clean, very continuous. Fits just above a DNA in my opinion. It’s one of those pieces that is surface friendly. Works with all types of surface adjustments. Go get yours today!

The Storm Absolute Power is the newest premier line release. The Absolute Power features the same sentinel core in the original Absolute but is now wrapped in R2S solid. The Absolute Power reminds me a lot of the CodeX and Alpha Crux which provided a lot of control with not a ton of traction. I can see myself throwing the Absolute Power after my Reality/GEM start to straighten out too quickly but balls like the Summit Peak/Phaze ll are still too quick.

The Storm Absolute Power utilizes the R2S Deep Solid cover along with the Sentinel Core. This combination of cover and core gives us a very versatile ball reaction. We compared the Absolute Power against the original Absolute. The Absolute Power was stronger overall, front, mid-lane, and back end for us. I see it as my Number 2 ball in my bag, just below the Eternity PI.

I wanted this ball to be a different look than a pin up reality meaning that I was looking for a smoother transition down lane. What I found was this ball was able to handle all of the oil in the middle of the lane and really start motoring. Even with the smoother layout, the ball still had plenty of energy at the pins. I would see this ball being really good for all styles and for me I would look at it being a first or second ball out of the bag, depending on what we are bowling on.

Absolute Power gives me a strong midlane roll with continuation through the pins. I opted to go with a pin down layout to provide a smooth continuous motion that I can use on a typical house shot. This ball is on the weaker side compared to other asymmetrical solids, so it was a perfect match for my higher rev rate on a house shot. For me this ball fits perfectly between the Eternity Pi and the Virtual Energy Blackout if you’re looking for a ball to fill that gap.

Storm never gets the Asymmetrical solids wrong. The latest big ball from Storm features A.I. technology with the R2S Solid Deep cover at 4000 grit. The 4000 grit allows the ball to pass the fronts without reading too soon yet we see plenty of mid lane read with continuation. You can think of the Absolute Power as a cleaner version of the DNA. This ball is designed for medium to heavier oil conditions; with more focus on the latter.
If you enjoyed the original Absolute, the Power will compliment your bag as it will be an option for those heavier oil conditions to utilize on the fresh to then transition to the original Absolute when a cleaner motion is needed.

Introducing the newest solid asym from the Storm lineup! The Absolute Power combines the smooth and strong Sentinel core with the mild and clean R2S Deep Solid coverstock. This combo yields a very useable solid asym that is surprisingly clean and quick without being overresponsive. This ball fills a gap between traditional solid asyms like the DNA and cleaner, sharper asyms like the Virtual Energy Blackout. The Absolute Power for me rolls like a giant IQ Tour Solid: revs up quick but doesn't get off line too early, continues downlane without getting forward, and provides a unique shape that fits in the "control ball" category. You don't want to miss this one, it really is a unique piece that fills a gap!

New addition to the Premier Line is a solid version of the Absolute called the Absolute Power. Again featuring the Sentinal core but wrapped this time in a solid version of the R2S Deep cover that made it's way to the states for the first time on the absolute. The added texture of a solid cover does indeed add the POWER to this absolute.
I was very excited for this release as the R2S deep cover was very good to me. With my lower ball speed, and the early friction in my home center, the updated covers are often too strong and force me to get creative to get them through the front of the lane. I've been waiting for a solid benchmark motion ball that is a little cleaner and this is the one I've been waiting for.
I tested the Absolute Power in league and immediately was a little surprised with how much energy it retained down-lane. This cover seems to be just right for me on our lane surface as it clears the fronts but doesn't miss the mids and it really motors off the back of the pattern. As a result it is a touch stronger than I anticipated but because of it's exceptional continuity I can stay in it much longer than most balls in it's hook category.
With the drastic transition of in our center I'm usually overjoyed if I can stay in a ball past a single game. Despite being a bit further left than anticipated to start the night I had no issues getting through the first two games. While I certainly wouldn't call the Absolute power quick or snappy off the spot it has no issues covering boards and stayed useful until I ran out of left to move on the right lane. Motion wise it gives me Phaze II vibes just more of everything that makes the Phaze II great.
I feel that the Absolute power is a ball which will fit alot of games. It's certainly strong enough for people who are rev challenged and If I can get it down-lane most anyone should be able to, so lower ball speed bowlers should really like this ball as well.

The new Storm Absolute Power is Storm’s newest Premiere line release and man does this thing hook. Right off the bat you notice how clean this is for an asymmetric solid piece but that doesn’t stop it from reading the mid lane effortlessly and providing tons of continuation as it goes through the pins. To compare it to a couple pieces in the current line. You will find this a little cleaner and stronger off the spot than the Roto Grip Clone, and find it just a touch earlier and stronger overall than the Phaze II. I actually consider this new Absolute Power to be a beefed up Phaze II, and would great as a ball down from Clone and a ball up from Phaze II. The Absolute Power is out not!! Don’t forget to bowl up a Storm!!
Hey everyone, I'm back with another ball review, and this time it's for the Storm Absolute Power.
In 14 pounds this ball is wrapped in the R2S Deep Solid Coverstock and has the Sentinel Core with an RG of 2.54, Diff of .045 and PSA of .018..
The layout for this ball is 5x4x2.5
The perfect name for the perfect ball. It is not the strongest ball in any of the three SPI lines but I feel its the perfect amount of ball for game 1 and 2 on a true house shot. I used this ball the other night and from the first shot down the lane I knew this was a staple in the bag for some time. I was able to move where I am more comfortable and started sliding at 25 and by the end of game 2 I was sliding at 30ish and knew I needed a cleaner ball. My Summit Peak wasn't ready yet so I jumped into a Clone and moved my feet a few right to close my angle a bit and just had to give that ball just a touch of hand and was back to striking. If you have been watching the PBA the past two weeks you saw this ball at some point being thrown by all of SPI staff members. When a ball is this good all the pros are drawn to throw it as well.

Sam Cooper Roto Grip Amateur Staff. The Storm Absolute Power I was excited for when it was announced. I immediately thought to myself that this might be the new Rubicon! So far, this ball has not disappointed. I drilled this pin down layout numbers are 45x5x75(might need a pin up one in the future by how good the current one is!). The Absolute Power features the R2S Deep Solid Cover wrapped around the Sentinel core. I liked the original Absolute for league or lighter volume sport shots. The Power should be even more versatile.
Me being higher speed higher rev rate. The out of box surface was tricky for me at 4000 abralon. Liked the motion that the ball made but it would not always recover or go through the pins correctly. I hit it with a 2000 pad to have some teeth and the ball came alive. R2S Deep solid is still cleaner and more responsive than other solid covers in the SPI family. You can tell when throwing either Absolute that the ball does not pay much attention to the front part of the lane. That being said, the ball retains a good amount of energy for the pins. It creates a strong arcing motion that will be usable for a variety of conditions. Personally, I think that this is a ball that has been missing from the line since the Rubicon. With the older surfaces in my hometown of Pittsburgh we need more options with cleaner/weaker covers.

For those who have or had the original Absolute, this ball will amaze you. I was in shock. Compared to the original ball, this one moves. The original one, to me, on most of the bowling alleys I was at, it never really had much back end. It was a hybrid . This new Absolute Power...It has back end for a solid ball. The R2S Deep Solid Coverstock. Wow is all I have to say, It's a ball I love to have in my bag. It reads the mid lane, and for a solid ball, you will be amazed. I was happy to purchase this ball, and happy to throw it. I was happy with the 4000 surface out of the box. I never had to adjust anything on it. It look great, Reacts great, and Absolutely love the colors and smell it has! It's a ball to get!

The Absolute Power is the latest addition to Storm’s Premier line and believe me this ball should absolutely be your bag. The Absolute Power’s Sentinel Core is wrapped with the RS2 Deep solid cover. This will ensure the Absolute Power will change direction and continue through the pins with more power and consistently. The Absolute Power has a stronger mid lane read and more continuous motion through the pins than the original Absolute. This ball will be great on medium to heavy oil patterns. The Storm Absolute Power 4.5x5x3 is a great starter ball on the fresh when you want control down lane. I absolutely love the Storm Absolute for that same reason and this doesn’t disappoint. With this one being a solid I can still play the dry with the deep R2S coverstock technology it allows me to stay with the ball longer and if I miss and hit the dry too early it doesn’t just make a right turn it actually slows down and rolls strong to the ball without leaving the back row (for the most part)
During league it’s my main ball game 1-2 sometimes 3 and on fresh it rolls sooo good! The ball motion is smooth down lane but with a heavier roll compared to the Absolute. I can stand in the same spot which is usually around 23-24 board with both but move my eyes 3-4 boards left compared to the absolute to give it more room. I have noticed once the surface wears off and gets more of a shine the ball will blow past by the breakpoint so depending on your ball speed and ball roll you would wanna make sure the surface is touched up. I have been liking it at 2000 so before each night of league i will hit it with 2000 and goes through the oil with no problem. Such a great ball! The absolute series is one of the best for me in a long time. If you’re needing a ball for a fresh house shot that is a big block ball, this is the one!

The Absolute Power is a solid Asymmetrical ball that I see working best on medium to med-heavy conditions. The solid R2S Deep cover on the AP is medium strength, so it reads the front but not so much that it needs a ton of volume in the heads. The low rg, high int diff core compliments this cover well. Because of the medium length of the cover, the fast revving core translates to a medium to medium-quick response motion down lane which is not common in many solid asymmetrics. I have found that the AP is very versatile and is a great benchmark asymm for the fresh on most patterns.

After watching multiple styles throughout ball review videos, I had high hopes for the Absolute Power. My initial findings are just okay, not necessarily what I thought I’d see. The ball was even slower than I anticipated. It almost lopes off the breakpoint. My hope was that it would blend the ever present wet/dry wall on most house conditions. It was either way too early in the dry or nowhere near enough pop to get through the puddle. This ball reaction puts me in jail with my rev rate and ball speed. Too much to play out and not enough to move in and get it around the corner. Not sure how this one would fit for most bowlers in the “middle”. Higher rev rates and super straight, ball speed dominant, should find a good amount of use for this ball. The next thing will be to adjust the surface to see if it changes the reaction enough to make this a useable piece for me.
The ball motion is not what I expected. I expected this ball to move early and have smooth motion on heavier oil patterns. What I'm seeing is a ball that slides and has a strong back end. I bowl around 15mph and have an average rev rate. This ends up being more of a medium to heavy oil ball for me. I end up leaving more 7 and 10 pin spares than I am comfortable with. Adjusting the surface is what I am going to try next to see if it improves the motion at all.

I have always been a fan of the Asymmetrical balls with big cores but weak covers. This one falls right into that spot! The clean, solid cover of R2S deep is pretty clean out of the box (4000) and makes a defined movement down lane. I actually thought that with my standard, 5x4x2 layout, the cover was a little too clean. I hit mine, lightly, with a 1000 pad and WHOA…Ball became a Monster! This ball also lets me continue to chase it left as the lanes break down. I am pretty conscious with my Asyms. on when I need to get out of them. We have wood lanes at my center and I have used this ball for all 3 games, multiple times, on 5 man leagues and 3 man leagues as well! This ball packs a serious punch and is quite versatile!

The Storm Absolute Power is the newest addition to the Premier Line. This bowling ball features the Sentinel core and the well-known R2S Deep Solid coverstock. I really like what I see out of this Absolute Power. I do think it creates a nice, benchmark-like ball reaction.
Since this core can potentially flare quite a bit, I decided to drill my Absolute Power with a pin-down layout: 55 x 5 x 75. I see this bowling ball to be versatile as the core seems to create an earlier and smoother roll, while the coverstock isn’t overly aggressive and stays on-line quite easy. This core and coverstock combination seem to allow for this bowling ball to respond to any release adjustments very nicely. I managed to stay with this ball through a couple of pattern transitions.
This Absolute Power has worked in multiple scenarios for me so far. I do think this ball will work best on fresh, medium patterns. It takes surface adjustments well, which makes this ball very useful on different types of lane surfaces. I also think this Absolute Power could be a very good first ball out of the bag on a lot of house patterns.
Watch our video of the Absolute Power on our YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LGJQeWgXWfg
I was a huge fan of the original absolute, so when I saw this ball coming out, I was extremely excited. Well, after throwing it, the excitement is still there. While this ball is an asymmetrical, it had taken the spot of my benchmark ball. So what does that mean for you? It means "Absolute" versatility. The ball is also noted as power, which fits. The coverstock isn't as early as what one may thing, but still provides a smooth track to the pocket. Give this ball a shot!
The Storm Absolute Power features the same Sentinel core found in the original Absolute, however the Power features the R2S Deep solid reactive coverstock. At 15 pounds the A.P. has a low rg of 2.48, with a differential of .050 and an intermediate diff of .021. I drilled mine the same as drill most of my equipment at 5x4x2. I’m not sure why, maybe it is the 4000-grit finish, but I expected this ball to hook sooner and much more than it does. This, however, is not a bad finding. The A.P. is surprisingly clean through the front part of the lane, picks up traction in the midlane and has a slower response to friction creating an even, arcing backend motion. When compared to the Absolute, the Power is about three to five feet sooner and about three boards more of overall hook. This ball reacts more like a symmetrical benchmark ball than a bigger asymmetrical ball. This ball will be best for medium conditions and for bowlers with higher ball speeds that want to play closer to the dry and for bowlers with slower ball speeds that are looking for a ball that won’t react quite as strong as some of the other solid asymmetrical balls.
The Absolute Power by Storm is the latest addition to the Premier line and, in my opinion, is a home run. The engine is the Sentinel Core and it’s wrapped with the R2S Deep Solid coverstock. I really liked the original Absolute and had a ton of success with it, so I was very excited to see a solid version be created. I think the comparison between the two is pretty simple. The Power provides players with a solid coverstock compared to the original Absolute, so this one reads the lane earlier, but it continues to change direction nicely like the original.
I’ve drilled one so far and love it. It’s mapped out as 5 ¾ x 4 ¾ x 3. This puts the pin above my middle finger and the mass bias just to the right of my thumb. I’ve been able to use the Power on the fresh while keeping my angles tight as well as when lanes transition and steeper angles are needed. I’ve noticed a ton of versatility and it’s been very usable on several different patterns.
From a surface standpoint, I’ve left it out of the box. Naturally, oil will shine equipment and that’s happened here, but I haven’t needed to adjust it at all. This is a ball I could see drilling a few of because of how versatile it can be.
If you need a ball that has proven to be successful on multiple types of patterns and on multiple surfaces, I think you should consider drilling the Absolute Power from Storm!

It’s early on in the year, but the Absolute Power will be a strong contender for ball of the year for 2024. The Absolute Power features the R2S Deep coverstock, this time in a solid version to complement the original Absolute’s R2S Deep Pearl. The Solid version comes out of the box at 4000 grit Abralon and it seems like a perfect match for the ball. The higher grit finish helps the ball read the heads without digging in too early. This really helps the ball retain a smooth shape and a consistent reaction downlane without being jumpy at all. I’ve talked to several people that didn’t care for the original Absolute, but really love the Absolute Power.

PAP: 5 1/4" x 1"
The Storm Absolute Power is the solid version of the Absolute and features the masterfully crafted Sentinel Core, which boasts consistent continuation through the pins. Not to mention, the Blueberry Orange Cake fragrance adds a nice touch to a sweet release. The OOB 4000 grit finish gives a great baseline reaction for medium volume patterns.
I’ve found a lot of success taking the finish down to 1000 or 2000 for the fresh. The cover takes to lane shine well and allows the ball to maintain it’s down lane punch later in the blocks. You’ll find that this ball is a great step up from the Virtual Energy Blackout or a step down from the Harsh Reality. You are going to love this ball!
Absolute Power is very strong asym solid that is not traditional. It’s not a forward piece. It’s a very continuous piece that wants to pick up in the midlane but continue really strong off the spot. It also takes to surface adjustments really well. So whether you want to play straighter or get in and create some angle this is the ball for you.

PLAY
The STORM Absolute Power is a pretty ball. It has a color swirl that pops and definitely a shelf looker. Now, let’s talk testing. Overall, the AP rolled well and performed as expected. I was only able to test the AP on one patter. Additional testing will be done on a few other patterns as normal.
Pattern A1:
The Absolute Power was used on one of the four house patterns at 43ft. This pattern being a longer pattern with moderate volume from 8-8 and more friction from 8-2 with 2 different oils. The AP read just past the mid lanes each time and made a continuous move to the pocket. Original play for practice was 15 to 10. After a game and line change to 12-5, the AP was a bit much for the pattern if speed dropped or rev rate increased in the same area. The AP would hold the line but I had to be clean at the bottom as not to get the over/under skid flip. Real keys here are how it read and controlled the pattern and as the pattern developed for ball changes and moves left, and definitely for my style of play to be left and stay inside. HOWEVER, the AP when backing off of it a bit and going more forward in the release played better than expected and controlled more area with power from the right. After initial testing….I’m not sure where I would fit this ball in my bag. I only say that because of current arsenal set up.
LOW DOWN: The Storm Absolute Power will be a better ball for those bowlers who are low to medium in rev rate and speed. It will give you the look that you want without sacrificing big moves fast.
More to follow on challenge and sport patterns.

I’ll be honest I wasn’t a fan of the OG Absolute. It wasn’t as dynamic as I was hoping and didn’t hook enough. The Absolute Power doesn’t have that problem. The Power feels like a much stronger cover and hooks plenty but also has a good amount of backend. The R2S Deep Solid pushes through the fronts and backends quite a bit for an asym solid. I love this combination in an asym because it allows me to use it more. The big chuggy asyms have their purpose but I can get trapped in them pretty easy if they have too big of a cover. The Power feels much more usable because of the versatility of the cover. The Absolute Power is perfect if you’re looking for an all-around solid asym.
Fantastic Ball, hands down. Increased my average from a 190 to about a 215+ since mid February. This ball just seems to get my style.
The New Storm Absolute Power is the latest addition to the absolute line. This ball is wrapped in the r2s deep. I drilled mine 45x4x50 this ball is very clean for me with my loft. I touched the surface using a 2000 pad and it really helped see the shape of this ball. I would suggest this ball as a nice step down from A Gem or Magic Gem for when see start to see more friction.
My Layouts:
Pin down: 4.25 x 3.75 x 3.75
Pin up: 5 x 3.25 x 1.5
Both in OOB surface
Tested 42' Medium/Heavy THS
The Storm Absolute Power bowling ball is a true force of nature on the lanes, embodying the essence of raw power and precision. In this review, we'll delve into its exceptional performance characteristics, focusing on its midlane control, torque generation, and uniquely textured coverstock.
Midlane Dominance: Pin Down
The midlane control of the Storm Absolute Power is nothing short of impressive. The Sentinel core design and R2S Deep work in perfect harmony, providing a predictable and smooth transition through the midlane better than the Absolute for me. I used this primarily on the fresh for my style where it performed the best. better suited for medium to heavy oil conditions, this ball maintains a steady and controlled motion, allowing for optimal pin carry and increased hitting power.
The midlane read is consistent in showing when to make any adjustments or ball changes for me. Great readability as I can change to the Pin Up layout for a booming backend shape. Carry is a 9/10 in my experience.
Torque Unleashed: Pin Up
No issues in generating torque, the Storm Absolute Power stands out as another true powerhouse in the Premier line. The core's dynamics and the ball's weight block were designed to create a strong and angular backend reaction. As the ball reaches the end of the oil pattern, it unleashes a powerful turn. This torque-driven motion enhances pin action and increases my carry percentage.
Coverstock:
The textured R2S Deep cover of the Storm Absolute Power is unique surface finish which creates additional friction, allowing the ball to read the lane effectively without sacrificing its midlane predictability. When in use for me, this makes the Absolute Power versatile, excelling on various oil patterns and ensuring a consistent reaction that adapts to changing lane conditions.
Conclusion:
Bowlers seeking a ball with an aggressive backend response will find the Absolute Power to be a formidable weapon in their arsenal.

The new Storm Absolute Power brings a solid version of the Absolute to the Premier Line. The Power again features the single density Sentinel Core which will help the ball change directions and continue through the pins more consistently. However, new for the Absolute Power is the R2S Deep solid reactive cover that is intended to create a little more midlane read compared to the shiny hybrid cover on the original Absolute.
I’ve made it no secret that I did not get along all that well with the original Absolute. For me, the original Absolute was undoubtedly one of the cleanest balls I’ve ever thrown, to the point that I found it generally inconsistent and only useful in specific instances. So, I was pleased to hear that the Absolute Power featured a solid cover and would perhaps be more useable. Indeed, the Absolute Power is a much more versatile ball compared to the original thanks to the solid coverstock. The Power is still surprisingly clean through the front part of the lane, but picks up traction in the midlane and has a slower response to friction that creates more of an arcing motion on the backend. The Power will certainly cover a lot of boards, but I wouldn’t consider it to be an overly strong asymmetric solid like the Storm DNA; the overall reaction reminds me more of a symmetric solid akin to the Phaze II.
The Absolute Power is a ball that would fit right in the middle of most bowler’s arsenals. It seems to be best-suited for medium-volume oil conditions and would be a great choice for bowlers looking for a ball with a solid coverstock that’s not quite as strong as other big-hooking asymmetrical solids, but makes a slightly stronger motion compared to symmetric solid balls.

The Absolute Power for me is very strong. I have not had a solid hook as much as this ball does. I drilled mine 55x4 1/2x35. I see this ball being used game one and that's about it for the centers I bowl at which put out a higher volume.

As with the original Absolute itself, the combination of a weaker cover and a strong core results in a unique ball reaction for the Absolute Power. It is clean through the front but has a reliable arcing midlane/backend. This ball rolls the best for me on medium oil conditions, as the coverstock does not have enough strength to dig through heavy oil. When I encounter heavier oil, balls such as the Optimum Idol or the Summit are much better choices. As the lane breaks down through the night, moving to the Absolute Power is the right move. As with the original Absolute, when this ball encounters the correct lane condition, the pin carry is markedly fantastic.

The new addition to the Storm Premier Line is the Absolute Power. The Power is the Solid version of the original Absolute. To be honest I had a hard time matching up with the original Absolute. But with the solid cover (R2S Deep Solid) this to me was a totally different ball. I drilled mine 4 1/4 x 4 x 2 pin up. The Absolute Power is a Home Run to me! The power just reads the pattern the correct way. It the most motion I've seen downlane out of a Asymmetrical Solid in a long time. The Power really excelled on the longer patterns like the Kegel Lithium pattern that I bowled on.
I have drilled 3-4 for customers at the shop from 2 handers, strokers, crankers. The Absolute Power rolled great for all the different styles! I think it is a must have in bowlers arsenals!

With the release of the Absolute Power I was hoping it would fit in my arsenal better than the original Absolute. The original had a lot of under/ over ball reaction for me since the core is so strong and the R2S Deep Hybrid cover is so clean. On this release I put a benchmark type of layout on it to have a smoother more controllable ball motion out of this strong asymmetrical piece.
This ball with the stronger Sentinel core and R2S Deep solid coverstock gives me a ball I match up better with and it has a similar but earlier ball motion than the Rubicon. By using a benchmark layout I have a more predictable ball motion to help me see when the lanes are transitioning.
The R2S Deep Solid cover is also a versatile cover and can be used at different grits and even polished. This ball is versatile for me on the PBA 50 Tour. I am able to use it on multiple patterns.

The Absolute Power is Storm’s newest addition to it’s Premier line and the Solid version of the Absolute. The original Absolute was very conditional for me and could become very over/under but with the R2S Deep Solid Reactive Cover on the Absolute Power, that issue is now gone. The Absolute Power is now the first ball out of my bag, as it is very strong in the Midlane with a very continuous, but predictable motion on backend. For me this reminds me of a stronger Phaze II reaction that I would throw on more of a Medium to Heavy oil lane condition. This is definitely going to be one of the more popular releases on the year.
Hello everyone and welcome to another Beyond the Arrows Ball Reviews brought to you by Striking Results Pro Shop, Bowlifi and Turbo 2 n 1 Grips, today we will be reviewing the new Storm Absolute Power.
The Absolute Power has a low RG value of 2.48 which means it will rev up early and a medium differential of 0.050 and a high intermediate differential of 0.021 which will have a slightly sharp change of direction on the backend.
The Absolute Power is the second installment in the Absolute line that has the Sentinel Core. The R&D team has also reduced the amount of weight block mass near the area where the thumb hole is typically placed. This ensures the Absolute Power will change direction and continue through the pins better and more consistently.
As per the R2S Deep Solid cover, the coverstock is cleaner through the front compared to the flagship R2S formula. This yields a more aggressive shape to the pocket with more overall angle through the pins.
I did a ball comparison to the Storm Absolute Power and the 900 Global Xponent at 42 ft house shot, 25 ml of oil.
In comparison to the Storm Absolute, the Power starts up earlier in the midlane due to the Deep solid cover verses the deep hybrid cover of the Absolute. The Absolute will hook more in the backend then the Power which makes them a powerful one-two punch.
In comparison to the 900 Global Xponent, the Power starts up earlier and hooks more in the backend but where the Xponent has a lower flare potential where it will be a good where the Absolute is a little too long, the Xponent will be that in between piece.
As per the surface adjustments, the Absolute Power has a box surface of 4,000 abralon, where I saw went too long especially on heavy oil.
On heavy oil the optimum surface would be a 1000 grit Abralon.
In the bag, will be the Absolute Power, Optimum Idol, Absolute and the VEBO

I am higher speed, rev challenged 220-250ish, high tilt, high rotation, and super low track player. I drilled my Absolute Power 5.5 x 3 x 1.75 using Storm VLS.
My axis point is 3 1/4 over and 7/8 up.
The Absolute Power is a welcomed addition to arsenal it is early but not too early with a strong round shape. I generally use this ball game 1 of league or when there is not enough friction right. The Absolute power by Storm definitely does not disappoint and the Blueberry Orange Cake scent is Absolutely amazing!
My YouTube video of the ball can be found at: https://youtu.be/vj_xHU58enY?si=MBF_z-ZL_S6r6fL1
This ball moves a little more on the back end than I was hoping for. Will need to polish it and try to take a little snap out on the back end. I dropped to a 14 lb. and that has helped my control more than expected.
