got no regrets I'm on the run chasing the check dropping the top riding the vet feeling myself what you expect you know I'm with it no better feeling cuz I could have quit but I didn't 7 when I'm on a mission moving it up to a better position what's going on YouTube World Charles huderson here and today man we are checking out the new what what's the name of this one sorry Road Warrior Road High Road Pearl replacement um so we got a pro cover stock here and then we got some new Ai and yeah man so we want to check this
one out and then we got the phase AI here for comparison the FAS I should be a lot stronger um and then also we got the Reno Pro I Reno Pro again look at the numbers similar and then again the two-piece honestly I don't know if this is a two-piece ball or not no this one isn't the Rhino is uh the AI I think that's supposed to give you that two-piece like hit um but yeah man we have that and we are do a full game again with the road warrior and then you we just going to compare phas AI early
um and see what we get um but yeah I think we are going to do like some black and white uh look to start out so you can see so you guys can guess kind of what's what ball is that really um and then just see again like the the differences before like oh that that has to be sharper this has to be that way right like you can guess and we play play a little guessing game like we did with some of the previous videos uh but yeah man once to do this and you heard those three balls and we do have kegle
chromium out here I used it a little bit shot a couple reels on it uh On a par on this pattern already but that's really it so it's not a ton of transition but we're on Lane one and we put a sport shot down a little more valuee a little flatter still should hook but let's find out together guys um and yeah yeah if you're in South Florida get order bow or tamarak they take care of me they can take care of you and Bowlers Pro Shops only reason I'm able to get all this stuff done in the manner and the speed
and the velocity which I am and uh yeah man get over Bart get everything else in jerseys 12 bagger baby 12 bagger [Music]
all right so now we're going to get into in a standard review but I want to get you get you guys in that mindset of like what is that ball really doing um and which ball is which which one is the brunck ball which one is the Storm ball uh and because all these things can be very very deceiving as far as when you look at the numbers on paper versus what it is when you put it actually on the lane and you see the shoes you see the shoes bro they are available now grab them Pro Shops are getting them everywhere get over to bart.com [Music]
clean definitely on a cleaner side of ball reaction it doesn't it doesn't tell me like that completely like doesn't see anything compared to like original idle Pearl mean idle Pearl ioad Pearl that was just completely like floats like feel like it's a little bit
more in a middle of the lane um where those again I still remember my first high road like it was just and then all down Lane so I'm going throw one from a little bit straighter and then we're going to jump back left with the phase AI so standing on 20 very very very comfortable get
getting down the lane like again is it the cleanest thing I've ever seen no but you know whether it's the this new AI Core or it's this different cover stock I believe this is the r2s Deep that's on this [Music] [Applause] [Music] one but definitely making this look sweet 100% they look
sweet pH a Dy all right stand the same spot 25 earlier ball reaction for sure like it definitely not as like like go um
oh fze AI is Stout Stout I do give it that but you got that which it definitely again looks roler looks roler than the new road all right let's see uh get [Music] one oh layoff no this has no layoff in it at
all so keep that in mind keep that in mind this ball wants to go like down Lane I think we're not going to throw the rhino Pro in this video because I don't want to make this video forever in a day long uh but there's another ball that should be out announced maybe today or tomorrow I feel like it makes more sense to put them all in one video instead of doing you know 100
videos so but let's let's do this throw the uh FAS AI again and then we're going to get to a full game with this ball that's what you really want to see yeah so I think for fresher patterns that you don't need as much torque down Lane phase AI right you want to get a lot more blend so again if I'm off a
little bit with this road warrior currently it's going that way it's going left bro it just is so yeah I'm trying to blend out the lane F AI I know that sounds like really weird I'm trying to BL out the L I'm using a phase two Sublime focus and balls like that some some some of the sent but for purpose of this video that's what we will be using um and so the road warrior is definitely hey give me some friction let me get way left send it there and let it do do work so throw one more before we start the
game it's filthy let's start this game oh first shot it's tragic rened up on it all bad three my fault all right again this Ball's a little a little
tricky if you stay to the end of the video I will do a little sneak peek and throw the Rhino uh Pro on this Ivy Rhino just so you see cuz I said it in the beginning of the video and I know some people like oh can't wait till you see that or you can just skip to the end of the video if you want to Jo call I did that twice so like just
jumping up not staying down as much that's what's leading to that focus a little bit hit the mark that thing goes goes goes goes goes goes
oh wow wow wow wow that it's hooking oh Jesus help me oh wow playing this steat probably
something I have to work on more because it's like Jesus I know some people watch the videos like oh you should do that anytime like this is still a skill bro I don't care what anybody says like especially when you can't just throw it to one and have help like you do got to be accurate out
here there she goes there she goes don't hold back man these new cover stocks these new bowling balls bro they're so strong like they just are they just super strong L crossover Jesus if I was really trying to score right now bro this Ball's a little too
diry right now like to this is almost I feel like I need to be lofting it almost or like really starting to back my hand out of it and just letting it lay there this Joker again hook hook hook hook and more hook oh
Jesus Lally hit my pocket [Music] [Music] oh move a little right angles hand position instead of trying to get like purely arounded to make it kind of circle roll the
ball it still has again it's putting all that energy just really at the pins when I do that and I think this is what a lot of people do fall over this ball going to end up doing with it is that throw it hard pipe it up the lane cuz it's still clean but don't make it do too much uh cuz it will but I
think it becomes a little more unpredictable but I think on most house shots people are going to be to throw this you going to see underscores pretty quickly oh that's in the ditch though so happens yeah last shot there 182 nothing crazy but I want to give you guys a realistic you know look at the ball and now I'm going to pick up the rno pro Ivory to see it cuz I think my initial
thoughts are going to be that this ball hooks um a little bit more than what we see on the the new [Music] Road kind of slipped off my hand I don't know why all right so stand on 25 currently see it so definitely again early gives me a earlier Vibe um than what we just saw uh
from the super super clean Road I'm going to jump a little further left with the road I mean with the Rhino see what we get yeah that like that's almost like not even close like that's yeah you talk about the stronger
yeah this is ivories earlier stole one more I'm kind of circling a little bit I feel like I can stop doing that because it's too much down Lane so that got mad forward though so that's something I didn't see from the world Warriors that it didn't get that forward even when I know missed it a little bit at the bottom where Ivory Rhino did
[Music] yikes all right let's throw the rad Ro Warrior two more times and then we going to wrap this up man I know y'all [Music] tired Jesus way too much hook if I'm tired of fighting with this ball with these balls if I was really trying to
bowl for score I would be using something a lot stronger that blends out the entirety of the lane but strong strong and more strong so hope you guys enjoyed this hit that like subscribe button more stuff is always on the way stand the look to B my state boat on the lake plus one in the bay what can I say I want it all
Performance Analysis
Performance Analysis
Testing revealed the Storm Road Warrior delivers a cleaner, more controlled midlane reaction compared to stronger pearl counterparts like the Phase AI. On the sport shot pattern used during evaluation, the ball demonstrated moderate length down the lane before engaging its angular motion, making it well-suited for bowlers who need predictability without excessive early hook. Independent reviewers observed that the ball’s reactive pearl coverstock and symmetric core combination produced consistent carrydown characteristics, though the tester noted it required precise hand position and delivery speed to avoid overreaction on fresh or heavily oiled patterns. When thrown with controlled rev rates, the Road Warrior produced reliable pocket hits; however, aggressive deliveries caused the ball to hook more sharply than anticipated, suggesting this is not a workhorse for heavily cranked approaches.
Surface and delivery adjustments proved important during testing. The reviewer found that lofting the ball slightly or backing off hand rotation improved consistency, as full-force throws caused excessive midlane aggression. Comparisons to the Rhino Pro (a stronger symmetric offering) highlighted the Road Warrior’s position as a step down in hook potential—a useful distinction for bowlers managing lane transitions. The ball’s behavior confirmed that while the new AI core and reactive pearl coverstock are modern improvements over legacy pearl designs, this remains a medium-heavy oil condition ball designed for blend and control rather than aggressive backend motion. Real-world scoring during testing showed the ball capable of respectable results when matched with appropriate release techniques, though the tester suggested stronger equipment would be preferable for dedicated scoring scenarios.
Who Is This Ball For?
The Storm Road Warrior is ideal for intermediate to advanced bowlers transitioning from heavier oil conditions to medium-heavy patterns, or those seeking a more controllable pearl option than aggressive benchmarks like the Phase AI. House bowlers looking to improve accuracy and reduce unpredictability will find this ball forgiving when thrown with consistent mechanics. It works particularly well for bowlers who struggle with early hook or need a cleaner skid phase to read lane conditions accurately before committing to stronger equipment.
This ball is less suitable for power players who rely on aggressive revs and expect strong midlane reaction, or for bowlers competing on fresh sport patterns where earlier engagement is essential. The Road Warrior’s $139.95 price point makes it an accessible upgrade path for players ready to move beyond entry-level equipment, though the testing emphasized that this purchase demands attention to release fundamentals—there is little margin for lazy technique before the ball becomes difficult to control.
The Pros
- • R2S Deep Pearl pushes the ball exceptionally far down the lane for maximum length
- • Inverted Fe2 A.I. core at .045 differential provides a strong, angular backend move
- • Outstanding value at $139.95 for a performance-level symmetric pearl
- • Higher 2.55 RG creates a later read that pairs well with the deep pearl coverstock
The Cons
- • The length-first motion can push past the breakpoint on drier conditions
- • Lower pin action rating means you need accurate pocket hits for consistent carry
- • Not enough early read for heavy oil conditions

Bowlers Say
Bowlers praise the Storm Road Warrior as an excellent Hy-Road Pearl replacement, featuring R2S Deep Pearl coverstock for clean length and sharp backend motion. It excels on dry to medium conditions and late game transition bowling, with improved pin carry from the AI core technology. Many consider it ideal for tournaments when lanes break down.

Bowlers frequently mention:
The Storm Road Warrior is an exciting upgrade in the Road series, offering enhanced versatility over both the original The Road and the Hy-road. Featuring the R2S DEEP Pearl coverstock, the Road Warrior provides more length and sharper backend motion than The Road, which is smoother and more consistent across a wider range of conditions. Compared to the Hy-road, the Road Warrior delivers a more aggressive finish, making it a better choice for bowlers looking for more backend punch and sharper angles, especially on dry to medium oil conditions. The Road Warrior offers more dynamic motion and greater versatility for a wider range of conditions. Go to your local SPI proshop and pick yours up on November 22nd!
The Road Warrior features the same core specs as the OG Road but is now covered in R2S Deep Pearl and finished with Power Edge. This creates a cleaner and sharper shape than the original without sacrificing the traits that remind us all of the OG Hyroad. Perfect for the bottom or your tournament or house shot bag! Storm Bowling Road Warrior Review Layout VLS-5 3/8x4x1 3/4 Surface-Power Edge Storm has added another option in the road series with the new Road Warrior. The Road Warrior uses the the modified Hyroad core with AI technology wrapped with the R2S Deep Pearl Coverstock. The Road Warrior will be a great option on medium to dry lanes when you need length and a strong backend. If your looking for a replacement for the Hyroad pearl the road warrior will be a great choice.I feel like the Road Warrior reads the midlane a little sooner than the Hyroad pearl but still with a strong backend. In my arsenal the road warrior will have the most length of all the current road series balls with the strongest backend. The Road Warrior will be available November 22nd!!!!!!
The BURN MASTER! If your looking for a ball for when the fronts go, is clean through the midlane and ALL BACKEND. THIS IS THE BALL FOR YOU! Sometimes with stronger symmetrical pearls they hook too soon and roll more like their solid counterparts. Not this ball. This is the ideal tournament ball for game 6-8, if your house has a lot of friction or if the pattern tends to get cliffed by game 3 of league. This ball is one that will stay in your bag for a long time and get you out of trouble when your bigger balls start burning up and getting to early!
