The Storm Summit Teak utilizes the TX-23 pearl coverstock and the Centripetal HD weight block. The coverstock is the big brother to the Phase II cover. My first impression is the ball is going to be a great option as a step down from the bigger bowling balls when they burn up. The Summit Peak was very clean in the front part of the lane and had good pop on the back end of the lane. I threw it up against the 900 Global Sublime. The Sublime was a little earlier and not as much on the back end. Both these balls are great options. I named the Sublime the ball of 2023. The Summit Peak is going to make the run at ball of the year in 2024.

The Summit Peak utilizes a pearl version of the TX-23, along with the performance-proven A.I. Core Technology, this bowling ball is a monster on the lanes. The coverstock is a new and improved formula from the Phaze II cover. The Summit Peak was very clean in the front part of the lane and had good pop on the back end of the lane. When comparing it to the Journey and Sublime, I felt that this ball will fit nicely in between these two. The Journey gripped a little harder and the Sublime was a touch longer with a smoother backend reaction. All of these balls are great options. The Summit Peak is an energized, responsive, and more angular version of the Summit. It was designed to complement the original and be a versatile ball for all skill levels. The Summit Peak features TX-23 pearl coverstock with the Centripetal HD weight block paired with the A.I. outer core. The pearl cover helps it clear the fronts and the core will create more midlane roll without losing a strong backend reaction. The Peak gave me a great look sliding on 30, looking 17 at the arrows with my breakpoint around 8-9. As the lanes broke down, I was able to move left and it continued to create sharp backend motion. When compared to the Summit, the Peak is cleaner, more angular, and a few boards weaker. The Peak will be a great choice after the Summit or other hybrid balls struggle to kick out the corner pins in league or tournaments. I expect the Peak to excel on medium patterns or later in tournament blocks. Stop by your local Storm VIP pro shop to check it out! Available on January 19th.

The all new Summit Peak features the pearl version of the TX-23, wrapped around the performance proven AI Core Technology. So far I am very happy with what I have seen out of this piece. I am a huge fan of the 900 Global Sublime, I feel that this feeds off of that ball very well, they have similar motion, however, the Summit Peak is more responsive off the friction. I have seen the most success with this ball when I move left and need to loop the lane, it allows me to do so without losing pin carry. I have a feeling that you will see this ball a lot out on tour this year. Go to your local VIP Proshop and get one for yourself today!

Stormβs new Summit Peak is a Pearl Symmetric Piece. This piece is good for Medium Oil Patterns. PAP is 5 5/16 R 1 3/16 Up. Rev Rate: 400. Speed: 16.5. Drilled this piece with the Pin Up between the Fingers and the CG kicked out 1.5β from the palm. Fresh 43β house pattern, Out of Box ball motion was clean through the fronts with a sharp backend reaction. Compared to the Summit, this piece is cleaner through the fronts with a sharper shape on the backend. I also compared this to the Storm Journey (2-2 Right) and Fate (3-3 Right). If you are looking for a piece for medium oil patterns that continues on the backend this is the piece for you.

The Summit Peak brings back the Centripetal HD Core with AI Technology with the new TX-23 Pearl Coverstock. Based on how early and strong the original Summit was, I expected the Peak to be a cleaner and more angular version. It is definitely accurate. Comparing the two balls, I saw about 2-3 feet longer and a more defined ball motion down lane. It still gave me that more controlled look but continues through the pins really well. This ball is predictable yet angular. It reminds me more of the 900 Global Zen as a straight comparison. Compared to the Storm Phaze 5, the Summit Peak is overall stronger and is more continuous. The Peak is strong enough to use potentially on fresh lane conditions and versatile enough to use for 1st and/or 2nd transition. Its more rolly nature can be great on both the right and left hand sides of the lane. So far it has been great for me on lower volume and higher volume house patterns. The Peak will work well for many styles and lane conditions and makes a great step down from the original Summit or Phaze 2.

This ball is a great step down from the sublime and a huge compliment to the original Summit. With the pearl cover it gets down lane 3-5 feel longer than the Summit, and about 2-4 ft longer than the Sublime. This helps it keeps energy through the pins so well. The Peak is still strong enough to throw on fresher hous shots and does not force me to the friction as much as some other mid level or even weaker balls do. The Peak gives me a more pronounced change of direction off of the pattern than the IQ Ruby allowing me to chase the dry much deeper and still get the corner out consistently. The AI outer core has the Peak hitting the pins very hard as well. For me the AI core gets the ball reving easily off of my hand letting me stay smooth through release and not feeling like I need to grab it to get the ball to Rev up. This lends it's self to much more consistency shot to shot.

Review:
The Storm Summit Peak features the Centripetal HD weight block and is paired with the newer Amplified Inertia outer core. Essentially, this means to the bowler is more length and more motion off the spot compared to one of the all time greats, the Phaze II. Also, compared to the original Summit you can anticipate more length with the Reacta Gloss finish.
Something that folks may not be aware of is the RG and Differential values are the same for 14 to 16 pounds in the Summit Peak. For my review, I rolled the Summit Peak at the factory Reacta Gloss finish and also bowled with the Summit at a 3K finish that I prepped four sides with a new Abralon pad. Also, I prepped a Phaze II the same as ^ for comparison purposes. In addition, both the Summit and Phaze II have a 5 x 4 x 4 - 2LS layout. My Summit Peak I changed layout a bit and went with a 2 x 6 x 5 - 2LS and also drilled the fingers a touch deeper to get through the fronts a little bit more on your typical THS patterns.
In comparing the Summit Peak to the original Summit and Phaze II I was pleased the Summit Peak went through the front part of the lane a bit easier for me. As a slower two handed player the Summit is more of a higher volume sport pattern ball for me. The Summit Peak OOB Reacta Gloss finish definitely increased length. However, I will take a touch of the finish off with a 3K Abralon pad by hand to smooth the ball out. For me it was a little sensitive to the wet/dry in testing. The plus side is I feel with the layout and surface prep I have a big sym to work with in league.
I do feel I need to test my angles more with the Summit Peak as with many big syms angles can get the ball forward quickly. I will say to the eye the A.I. technology does benefit on light hits. I had a few that carried when missing right a touch. Be sure to try out a Storm Summit Peak and fill that gap for fresh league and heavier volume tournament patterns. I'm definitely excited to use the Summit Peak with a short pin to PAP layout. The Storm Summit Peak is the newest release in the Summit line. The Summit Peak features the same Centripetal HD found in the original Summit but is now wrapped in TX-23 pearl. The Summit Peak is the perfect complement to the Summit. The Summit Peak preserves all the traction the OG provided but moves it a zone farther down the lane. The Summit Peak has been my go to 3 ball in league/tournaments and is the perfect ball before my UFO Alert/Hyroad.

Summit Peak is another great Symmetrical Pearl from the SPI brand. This ball is super clean and responsive down lane. When you need a ball to get left and know its going to recover then this is the ball for you. On the fresh it was a little too angular for me but when the lanes start to transition, and I have to move left this ball starts to really shine. A great 1-2 combo between the Summit and the Peak.
Storm Andrew Jan 28, 2024
I'm glad Storm elected to go with the pearl version of the Summit as the original was too strong to utilize on most conditions. I have thrown the peak a bunch already and am a fan of what I seen, as I been looking for more versatility for a medium benchmark pearl to utilize when my other balls become too smooth and slow.
The peak is the strongest symmetrical pearl in my bag and I will look at this as a step up from the Xponent pearl when I need a stronger mid lane read than the cleaner/angular pearls. I believe this will be a great option for most bowlers to capture that step down off the bigger asymmetrical and symmetrical solids.

It will be a great compliment to the orginal Summit with increased length and a stronger backend motion.

Summit peak for me will be a great transition ball when I need more length and a stronger backend motion.

The success and popularity of the AI core technology featured in the original Summit left little doubt that a pearl version would be coming down the line and Storm didn't disappoint. The new Master line release is called the Summit Peak. A pearl version of the TX - 23, and advancement of the TX-16 cover featured on the Phaze II, wraps this one up.
I tested the Summit Peak in league. The first week I opted to take it out game 3 when my solid balls were seeing to much of the front of the lane. I was pretty surprised with how smooth is ball was. While it is certainly cleaner than the original Summit was, I feel that this core so dominates the motion of this ball, that it tended to tip up pretty fast. Even with the longer pin buffer I opted for, the ball seemed to get forward pretty fast when trying to use it so late. I kept it in play by moving even deeper and really opening my angle up early, getting the ball to bounce off the friction earlier and sort of set at the pocket. It worked well enough for 220 or so but I felt like I was having to really manipulate the reaction to get the ball through the pins.
I decided to try throwing the Summit Peak on the fresh the next week. I much preferred it in this role, in spite of its Pearl Cover the ball read the mid-lane very well even on the fresh and controlled the back-end reaction really well. This may not be a typical reaction for bowlers with more ball speed than me, or who bowl in centers where the fronts don't hook so much.
I think the summit peak will work out well as a transition ball for bowlers who really liked the original summit. It also makes a good alternative for a first ball out for people like me who want a sort of "solid" reaction from a ball that doesn't necessarily give them the early solid-type read on the lane.

The Summit Peak is the newest pearl symmetrical ball from Storm. If you know Storm, you know this is thier bread and butter! The Summit Peak gives me a clean, smooth ball that still tips enough downlane to provided a great transition piece on flatter conditions, while also being a great league ball on most house shots. This ball is the return of a shape we got out of balls like the Axiom Pearl and original Trend, but the latest version uses A.I. core technology. This new Storm tech makes the ball rev up quicker while still keeping its axis and continuing downlane. This combines control and dynamic ball motion in a way we haven't seen from Storm until this year, and the result is a reliable shape that never misses the midlane and also still hooks plenty downlane!

I really love the Storm Summit Peak. I drilled mine with pin over my fingers. It's a perfect transition ball. The Summit Peak gives me a clean, smooth ball reaction. For me, the Summit is a perfect complement to my 900 Global Sublime. On the house shots conditions, I begin with the Sublime and when it become to miss some punch at the end, I keep the same place and change for the Summit Peak and it give me the backend reaction that I need. Thogether those balls create a perfect ''1-2 punch''. The Peak go across the centrer better thant the Sublime with the pearl surface. the The Summit Peak is unlike anything else with the mix of a pearl surface the TX-23 with the performance-proven A.I. Core Technology, this bowling ball is a βmust haveβ by bowlers of all skill levels of pitch. This combines control, predictible and dynamic ball motion. I have it in my bags on my tournament road for sure ! #summitpeak #stormnation
I had one drilled pin down, I had it hit it with 500 then 3000. All depends on what you already have in your bag, and you want something a little different. I have an Absolute Power, I wanted something to hook less, I have a Revenant, I wanted something more. Then the awesome Virtual Energy Blackout. So for that I wanted something a little more controllable. With what I had done...it was achieved! Rolls awesome, reads the mid lane and doesn't over react. I can't wait to try this ball on different oil patterns. You wont be disappointment!

Hey everyone, I'm back with another ball review, and this time it's for the Storm Summit Peak.
In 14 pounds this ball is wrapped in the TX-23 Pearl Coverstock and has the Centripetal HD packed inside the A.I. Core with an RG of 2.46, Diff of .056.
The layout for this ball is 5x4.5x1.25
Symmetrical ball with POP! I am really loving what I see from this ball. For me it's a great ball down from the Absolute Power on a THS. The ball gets down the lane and pops off the spot and is a great in between ball where a Clone might come in to play as the next ball down. I use this ball as a game 2 ball where I need to control the friction in the midlane. If you use the original Summit or Phaze 2 as the first ball out of your bag the Summit Peak will also be a great step down from these balls as well.

The Summit Peak is the latest addition to Stormβs Master line. Storm has combined the Centripetal HD A.I. core with TX-23 Pearl Reactive cover stock. The Summit Peak is a Pearl symmetrical ball that I see working best on medium to med-dry conditions. The pearl TX-23 cover is surprisingly clean. It does a great job of getting through early friction without getting off line too quickly. The super low rg core compliments the clean cover very well. Because of the length of the cover, the fast revving core translates to a medium to medium-slow response motion down lane. I have found that the Peak is best when the lanes transition past big and medium solid balls like the Absolute Power or Summit. It allows me to get down the lane easier without being too angular at the end of the oil pattern.

The Storm Summit Peak features an early rolling Centripetal HD A.I. Core and the pearl version of the TX-23 coverstock. This is an interesting combination as the low RG core wants to start up early, but the clean coverstock forces the bowling ball to skid further. I have not thrown the original Summit, but I do like what I see out of the Summit Peak.
I drilled my Summit Peak with my usual pin-up layout: 65 x 5 x 30. The bowling ball does flare quite a bit and certainly revs up quick. Since the core does feel early, the backend reaction is very rounded. I do like the smooth, controllable backend reaction with a cleaner coverstock as it allows me to stay a little straighter through the front part of the pattern, especially on worn lane surfaces.
I do think this Summit Peak will work great on medium patterns that donβt require too much launch angle. I think this will be a great ball when patterns go through their first transition, a little more friction appears, and the stronger asymmetrical bowling balls become too strong. For my higher ball speed, I put a little bit of surface on my Summit Peak and that created an even more predictable and rounded ball motion.

This thing is really fun to throw and it smells AMAZING. Summit Peak HOOKS. This ball right here never misses the spot. This thing sees the midlane and is very strong down lane. When the original Summit came out, It was billed as the strongest symmetrical Storm ball, to date. When you pair the centripetal HD core with the TX-23 cover, you get a hook monster. I need to use this ball on the fresh because thatβs when it gives me the most room to miss. Once the pattern gets more defined, I have to ball down to something that doesnβt see the friction so hard. Donβt get it wrong, just because this is a βSymmetrical Pearlβ doesnβt mean that it shouldnβt be the first ball out of the bag. This one is one that I push a lot of people to check out. Not to mention the scent is perfect, Apple Kiwi Pie!

The Summit Peak features the Centripetal HD core (A.I Technology) wrapped with TX-23 Pearl cover. Itβs a great compliment to the original Summit. The Summit has one of the strongest covers so it tends to burn out if not enough oil. The Peak will still store energy while keeping a similar shape. Donβt get me wrong the Peak still needs oil itβs not a traditional long and flippy pearl it still digs earlier but once it makes its move it doesnβt stop! This is a ball I like to use when they are cliffed or longer patterns when they breakdown. Higher speed lower rev players will love this ball!

Storm Summit Peak Ball Review by PJ Haggerty
One of the newest additions to the Master line at Storm is the Summit Peak. After drilling a few of the original Summitβs and having success with it, I was excited to see the brains in Utah create a pearl version. Not only does the Summit Peak smell like Apple Pie, but it rolls great too. Using the pearl TX-23 coverstock and the A.I. core technology, the Summit Peak has been extremely successful on multiple surfaces from multiple angles.
Iβve drilled one so far and really like it. Itβs mapped out as 6 x 4.5 x 2. This puts the pin above my middle finger with a good-sized shift of the CG. Iβve left the surface alone since, for me, the goal for the Peak is to be a ball to use after my Eternity-Pi, Gem, or Absolute Power start to see the front of the lane too much and I need something to fly through the front but still pick up the mid-lane and run over the 8-pin.
No doubt about it, this ball is strong, so you could probably get away with drilling it a little weaker than expected. The response time is quick and this ball has been really good on multiple occasions. It compliments the line extremely well and I look forward to having more success with it.

The Summit Peak is the pearl version of the original Summit that was released in the Summer of 2023 and quickly jumped to my ball of the year for 2023. The original Summit definitely hit a wall when the heads started to dry up, so I was really looking forward to a pearl version to get a familiar shape, but get further down the lane and the Summit Peak didnβt disappoint. I was surprised to see how much more angular the Summit Peak was compared to the original. Itβs been a great ball down from the original Summit when it starts hooking a bit too early.

The summit peak is THE 1-2 Punch with the Summit. Where the summit is early and wants to pick up in the midlane and be very forward not angular. The summit peak is the super angular compliment. It maintains all the strength of the Summit itself. If your looking for something to play in the sludge with but be super angular off the pattern. This is the ball for you.

The Storm Summit Peak bowling ball is a game-changer, seamlessly blending power with precision. As its responsiveness is unparalleled with every roll, the angularity of its motion is simply effortlessly slicing through the pins with a calculated ferocity. But what truly sets the Summit Peak apart is its energized performance.
Summit Peak features the Centripetal AI core technology found in the Summit but uses the new TX-23 Pearl cover. RG 2.46, Diff 0.056 makes this the early rolling, highest flaring pearl to date.
My layout:5 1/4 x 1 1/2 VLS
Puts the pin in a versatile position easily manipulated by hand and cover changes. Tested on a higher volume THS the Peak eased into a smooth roll and hard arcing backend motion. Being a lower rev, speed matched it allows me to keep my angles closed and control the fronts. Being this responsive and angular I need to chase the oil in order to use for multiple games in league. Great step down from the Summit Hybrid on blended conditions.
Summit Peak is my first or second ball in my league arsenal.
Whether you're a seasoned pro or a casual bowler, the Storm Summit Peak will elevate your game to new heights.

The Summit Peak is Stormβs follow-up in the master line to the original Summit. The new Summit Peak features the same Centripetal HD core paired with the Amplified Inertia (A.I.) outer core. However, the difference between these two balls is in the cover – the Peak features the pearl version of the TX-23 coverstock, which is a modernized variation of the TX-16 cover found on the Phaze II. This new core/cover combo creates a fast-revving ball designed to produce a clean and responsive backend motion compared to the original Summit.
Iβve had the Summit Peak in my bag for a couple of months now, and it has become my go-to symmetric pearl when Iβm in need of a medium-strong ball that easily clears the front part of the lane but maintains a strong roll with a defined backend reaction. The Peak is much cleaner than the original Summit and would be a great ball to switch to after the lanes start to transition. In some ways, the Summit Peak reminds me of another Storm symmetric pearl ball from yesteryear – the Axiom Pearl. Even though the core and cover of the Peak and Axiom Pearl are very different, the overall reaction shape feels similar to me.
On the fresh or starting out the league night, the Summit Peak may be a little too clean and angular to be the first ball out-of-the-bag. However, I think the Peak will shine as a transition ball for most bowlers after a couple games of play from balls like the DNA, Summit and Phaze II. Storm has done it again and released a great follow-up to the original as the Summit Peak is a fantastic compliment to the Summit.

The Summit Peak from Storm is, in my opinion a much needed addition to the Storm family. With the recent discontinuation of the 900 Global Zen, the Summit Peak fits this gap in the bag very well. For it being a shinier ball, it has excellent mid lane read, paired with a nice strong move off the back end of the pattern. Highly recommended!!
The new Storm Summit Peak is the latest release in the Summit line. This ball uses the TK-23 Pearl cover an A I Technology. 35x3.5x60 This layout Allows the Summit Peak to shape more in the mid lane and more shape off of the break point. This ball is a great option when you need that big pearl move in and open up your angel.
My oh my has this ball impressed me! I was not a fan of the summit, I actually put polish on it which made it way better. This is that ball but you do not have to do anything! I drilled it 65x4x30 and it is very continuous! many of my teammates wanted one after I drilled it.

The Storm Summit Peak combines a flippy coverstock with a quick-revving core, and the end result is a lot of ball motion. Due to it's shiny coverstock prep, it is still best on medium oil lane conditions, but the overall amount of downlane motion is quite impressive. The original Summit is one of my favorite sanded symmetrical balls that Storm has released in quite some time; it can handle a good bit of oil, but is versatile enough to still be quite usable on medium conditions. The Summit Peak takes the reaction of the Summit and moves it 3-4 feet further down then lane, making them a perfect 1-2 punch. With it's out of box surface, the Summit Peak is at home on any medium to medium-dry lane condition.

The new ball in the Storm Master line is the Summit Peak. This is pearl version of the popular Summit. I drilled mine the same as the original 4 1/2 x 4 x 1 3/4 pin up.
I was a big fan of the original Summit. But with our league pattern the summit can start to bog down a little late in 2nd game. So perfect time for the summit peak. The Summit peak still has that strong mid lane roll but just a cleaner cover with added length. Personally I think the Peak is a great league ball! I have used the peak with good success on the medium sport patterns. Very versatile ball, as I have drilled several in the shop for all styles. Plus I have noticed with the A.I. Core Technology I seem to carry the light and off hits more. Good looking ball with great shelf appeal.
I have the Summit Peak a ball down from the Summit, Phaze II, or the bigger Asymmetricals. Stronger than the IQ's, Hustle lines.

I matched up well with the original Summit so when the Summit Peak was released I knew I wanted to see how well this ball would compliment the Summit. The TX-23 pearl cover stock seems slightly weaker than the TX-16 pearl that is featured on the Journey. The A.I. Tech in the core gives me the same mid lane reaction as the Summit but pearl cover adds some length from front to back.
The layout featured on this ball gives me the length and quicker motion off the dry that I need on the lower volume house shots in my area. This layout also allows me to stay to the right during the transition of the house shot during league. I can start with the Journey in the track area then when it becomes too early I can change to the Summit Peak and have more length and sharper back end motion off the end of the pattern.
I have not changed the surface on this piece at all. I just let the amount of games remove the polish. I have not used this ball on any PBA 50 patterns yet as the 2024 PBA 50 Tour season has just begun.

Cover Stock: TX-23 Pearl Reactive
Finish: Reacta Gloss
Core: Centripetal HD

The latest addition to Storms Master line is the new Summit Peak. Combining the Centripetal HD with A.I Technology with the Flippy TX-23 Pearl Cover and you have a perfect compliment to the early rolling Summit. The Original summit picked up a roll very quick with a very smooth backend reaction which was great on fresh heavier oil conditions, but when you had to start moving a left, it would tend to lay off on the backend and the Summit Peak is perfect go to ball. The Peak picks up a roll earlier than most pearl balls so you can still throw it on those medium to medium to heavy oil shots, but where it really shines is the backend reaction. When the Summit Peak hits the friction, it wants to pick up go, and rolls very heavy through the pins. For me it is good step down from the Attention Star for me, when I am having trouble getting it through the fronts.

I am higher speed, rev challenged 220-250ish, high tilt, high rotation, and super low track player. I drilled my Summit Peak 5 x 3 x 2 using Storm VLS.
My axis point is 3 1/4 over and 7/8 up.
The Summit Peak is a welcomed addition to my arsenal it revs up early and keeps shaping down lane. I generally use this ball game 2 - 3 of league or when there is friction right. The Summit Peak by Storm definitely does not disappoint and the Apple Kiwi Pie scent is amazing!
My YouTube video of the ball can be found at: https://youtu.be/pgrr_RXCSt8?si=RRrHkqaM9O_hBCLK
I drilled my STORM SUMMIT PEAK at a 4.5 x 4 x 2. I left it mainly shined but did lightly hit it with a 3000 Tru Cut pad to get the glaze off. I have thrown it about 10 games since I hit the cover so probably due for another 3000 Tru Cut touch up.
I have thrown this on league conditions. In the center I bowl on Mondays at, it just seemed like it needed the lanes to be a touch more dryer to carry better. It would glide thru the fronts easily but not get thru the pins hard enough to carry out tens for me. My RG ATTENTION STAR was more bowling ball and worked much better there. My Tuesday night league gets more blown up in the track area and this ball was golden when they got to that shot. I would use the RG ATTENTION STAR until it got to forward and then step down to the SUMMIT PEAK to take over. When the PEAK was starting to get too forward or flat, then my 900 GLOBAL XPONENT PEARL was in play.
The motion was smooth like the original SUMMIT, but the pearl cover got it down the lane quite a bit further than the original.
I am a 180 average bowler. So I suck! Haha... I absolutely love this ball. Still working on finding my mark. I am a right handed bowler so the five board is usually my spot. This ball breaks at the end like I was looking for even with my low to mid range rev. Worth every penny.
