Xponent:
Reactive solid with the Ordinance core is a perfect blend to this benchmark symmetrical. A step up earlier reaction from the IQ Tour, the Xponent is an ideal selection as the first ball out of the bag. The Xpoenent will be good for those medium oil conditions when control is at a premium. This fits between a IQ Tour and Summit in terms of performance. If the Summit is too much and the Tour is not enough the Xponent will fit that slot. These type of balls should be in every players bag.
Zen Gold Label:
Cleaner than the original Zen, the Zen Gold will be the cleanest and most angular Zen to date. This is close to a UC2 although a tad earlier/smoother. The Zen Gold will provide clean reaction through the front part of the lane yet respond favorably down lane to friction. As the solid/earlier ball reactions begin to fade and migration to the inside part of the lane is required the Zen Gold will be a great transition option. This ball will be good for those medium to heavier oil conditions and when your looking to create angle with your ball reaction.

The Zen Gold Label is the newest big pearl symmetrical from 900 Global. This ball goes SIDEWAYS for me on our local house shot. The original Zen was even, controllable, and cleaner than our solid symmetricals (though not by much). The Gold Label is clean, but when it does hit the spot, it comes off of it harder than any other symmetrical pearl currently in the SPI family. 900 Global has taken the big, strong core from the Zen and wrapped it in a clean and angular cover akin to R2S Pearl on steroids. The Zen Gold Label is the classic big pearl symmetrical that Storm is known for. Just when you thought there no room for improvement upon the Zen, the Gold Label shows just how much further 900 Global can go. Don't miss this one!

The New Zen Gold Label is the cleanest offering yet to feature the Meditate symmetric core. The new 801 Reserve cover is clean and responsive down-lane
giving you a great companion piece to the original Zen.
I tested the Zen Gold Label in league. Our house pattern being longer and higher volume, the stronger balls have been the better performers. While the Zen Gold Label is definitely strong enough to throw on a fresh lane, it really shines as the lanes transition. I threw a few shots on the fresh, by increasing speed and playing closer to the friction. It was a little too easy for the ball to overreact in this part of the lane so I put it away until game two when the fronts started to go. The Gold Label really surprised me with it's easy length through the early friction. As I moved left I simply increased my angle and the Gold Label kept coming around. I ended up having to give it a little bit of air time over the corner of the left gutter by the end of game 3 but if anything it might have looked even more impressive in that part of the lane.
I think the Gold Label will be really popular for people who love their Zen and look for a ball to transition to when it gets to be a bit too early and round down'lane. It's great for transition and for guys who don't need or want to really ball down when they have to move way in.

The 900 Global Zen Gold Label is the newest ball in the 800 line. This features the proven meditate symmetric core and the new reserve blend 801 pearl cover. This cover has brand new tech which makes this ball cleaner and angular compared to the original Zen. What I found with this ball is a ball that skids right through the fronts and gives a strong angular motion downlane. This ball will fit in when the lanes start to break down and you need to get left and throw it to the spot. This ball is going to have more angle then a Phaze V in my opinion and a great option for people who where looking for a cleaner sharper Zen. This ball will be a ball above the !Q tour ruby and a good step down from the Storm Summit. It is also going to pair great with the 900 Global Xponent for a 1-2 punch. The ongoing saga of the Zen line has just hit GOLD LEVEL!
Here is what I found: Knowing the legacy the 900 Global Zen line has been, I was looking forward to drilling this one a little stronger than prior Zens I used in the past. After going with a long front number and a power pin to pap layout, I witnessed the strongest angular symmetric ball I have EVER used. Mine rolled so βquietβ down the lane; it did not think I would see any reaction until it reached the pins – AND BOY! I was quite surprised when the ball started over the farther tracer board, it woke up and turned and faced the pocket like a mean Tasmanian Devil. I was gainfully giggling like a little school kid and was quite happy to see the ball react like that. Shot after Shot, less angle or more angles the Zen Gold Label was pure MONEY. Even after the lanes were blown up by a ball demo – it was very responsive and held up very well. If you are looking for the BIG hook pearl ball, the Gold Label is perfect for you.

Had great success with OG Zen. Absolutely didnβt match up with the Master and didnβt drill the Soul. After watching some of the other staffer reviews, I decided to give this one a go.
Clean is an understatement even with my slow speed. My first couple shots out of the box went forever. Had to make a big jump right before seeing some motion and was still super long. Back to the bag and grab a used 2000 pad. After lightly going over the ball, it made a much better motion to the pocket for me. Iβm still of the belief that I could go over it again with a little more pressure. But Iβm going to get a few more games in before trying that.
I see this ball being a win for slower ball speed. Those bowlers shouldnβt have any issues getting it down the lane in box condition. Additionally, for those that like to play the dry down lane it should be good. Curious to see some higher speed / rev players use it. Iβd think the box finish with higher ball speed wouldnβt be a good matchup. But rev rate might compensate for that or a much drier/flatter condition.
This ball is Amazing! If you loved the original Zen....you better have ordered one of these or going to today! I can't say anything bad about this ball. Why, because I bought 2. Had one drilled pin up and the other pin down. I have to be able to throw this ball! Pin up goes long and hooks, pin down hooks a little sooner with a little less back end. So I can start with one, and switch to the other because they roll so well! Ball surface just hit them with a 4000 pad. Out of the box, myself...I had to watch my speed. But I don't hook the ball as much as some people do. The ball is TOP SHELF! Great job 900 Global!!

The Zen Gold Label is the next installment in the 800 performance line for 900 Global and it hooks A LOT. For me, with the way I have the ball laid out. I found this to be one of the cleanest ball I have thrown in recent memory. The big Meditate core, found in the rest of the Zen line, shows very pronounced hook down lane, and a lot of it. I found this ball very beneficial on the burn, like most clean balls are. However, I found this ball super useful on fresh long patterns when I needed lots of hook down lane. I would recommend this ball to anyone looking for something to get through dry fronts, as well as lower rev bowlers looking to maximize left to right ball motion. Bowl up a Storm!!!

The newest member of the 900 Global Zen family, Zen Gold Label. Using the Meditate Symmetric Core wrapped in the new Reserve Blend 801 pearl cover. You want skip/flip? You got it! By far the most angular ball in the line. It is much cleaner than the original Zen and more down lane but very close in performance. I could stand in the same spot and both hit the pocket, in different ways. This is a stand right throw it left kinda ball for me! Fits between my dark code and Phaze 5. When they both get lazy down lane this ball shines! Going to be a great ball for this upcoming league season there will be many on the ball returns!

The Zen Gold Label brings back the Meditate Symmetric Core with the all new Reserve Blend 801 Pearl Coverstock. What this new coverstock brings is more length and more angular backend compared to the original Zen. Where the original Zen was better for heavier oil and fresher conditions, the Gold Label is great for that transition period as a great next ball out of the bag after the Zen. I was able to try this ball on both a typical house pattern and 38ft Marshall Holman pattern.
On the typical house shot, I saw easy length through the front part of the lane with a very strong angular backend motion. The amount of length that it gave made it a little harder to control on the fresh. It would read the friction very strong but would have slight issue reading the oil. As the lanes transitioned and the lanes become more open, this ball really shined. It allowed me to move my feet further inside and throw it to the dry without worrying about recovery. As the middle part of the lane dried up some, this ball really controlled it and drove through the pins well. Depending on the lane conditions you are on, this ball could be good for the fresh if you need to hook a lot of the lane early on. Those who like to be straighter could have issue on the fresh controlling the pocket. An adjustment of surface to make it smoother would make this ball better on the fresh. This ball in my opinion would be a great transition ball. Good to use after your benchmark ball where you can move in and open your angles up.
On the Marshall Holman pattern, very much like the house pattern, it was tough to use on the fresh. The strong response in the backend made it tough to control it. As the lanes transitioned again and was able to open up my angles, this ball was much better. Due to the high oil volume, the polished finish made it a little bit tough to still control so I made an adjustment to a fresh 2000 grit finish. This allowed the ball to read the pattern sooner and not be as angular in the backend. Certainly don't be afraid to remove the polish on this one if you need a stronger footprint on the lane. Compared to the Zen, at the 2000 grit finish, the balls were definitely closer in reaction while the Zen was still smoother overall. The Gold Label still gave a more angular motion even at the same surface prep. For heavier oil volume, consider removing the polish for more control and consistency. For medium to lower oil volume, leave it shiny for more distance and recovery down lane.

The Zen Gold Label is a new symmetric ball in 900 Globalβs 800 series line. It features the new Reserve Blend 801 Pearl coverstock, which is a cleaner cover than the S77 Response Pearl from the original Zen, and which creates quite a difference between the two ball reactions. The core is the Meditate core from the other Zen releases, which comes in at a 2.49 RG and a .051 differential in 15 pounds. The Gold Label reaction reminds me very little of the original Zen, and actually feels to me like a stronger and sharper version of the Fate. Iβve used the Gold Label on several different conditions with a couple different surfaces.
First, the box Reacta Gloss surface hasnβt been great for me, so I resurfaced it to 1000 grit on a resurfacing machine, and then finished it with Stormβs Step 2 compound. The result was a clean round arc. Like the original Zen, itβs a very balanced reaction, clean without being too long, strong on the backend without being jerky, and the strong core is very stable and rolly which creates a lot of control. However unlike the original Zen, the Gold Label is easier down the lane, sharper, and more naturally continuous which makes it ultimately a quite different look. I ended up taking a worn 3000 pad to it by hand to crack the shine to blend it out a little but still retain the general reaction.
The Gold Label has been a first ball out of the bag for league since I drilled it. The Fate had been that ball previously, but it wasnβt quite strong enough. The Gold Label cover feels extremely similar and the core is stronger, so the familiar feel but extra bit of strength and friction response put it in the perfect place for me to start with it in league. Iβve also been able to finish the set with the same ball as it handles angle exceptionally well, it might be the best symmetric ball at covering boards that Iβve ever thrown.
This ball has done nothing but knock expectations out of the park. I loved the original Zen, though found at times it was maybe a little too early when I needed it to float. This is when the Phaze 5 came into play, with numbers of 2.48 and .051 it allowed me to get into a zone where I knew it would float the front but make the corner down lane. When I saw the numbers of the Gold Label being 2.49 and .051 I knew I was going to be in love. My Phaze 5 being pin down, it was a no brainer for me to go pin up (50 x 4.5 x 45) to give me a little different option. Out of the box, this was a little too clean for my liking to I scratched it with a 3000 and it was exactly what the doctor ordered. This has given me the perfect compliment to my Phaze 5 when needing to get out of my original Zen. It gives effortless roll through the front while still making the corner down lane. I love dark bowling balls and this one is proving to become another staple in the bag just as the original was.

The 900 Global Zen Gold Label is the newest addition to the 800 series line and features the proven Meditate core. Compared to the original Zen, the Gold Label offers a cleaner cover and more downline motion. The Reserve Blend 801 Cover is weaker than S77 Pearl, but the core still provides predictable ball motion. I drilled my Gold Label 4.5x4x4 to help it blend the lane and see a similar shape to my original Zen. It is slightly cleaner and sharper; however, I think that this piece tops the bag over my original as far as ball motion is concerned. I have been using the Zen Gold Label on house and sport patterns over virtually every part of the lane and it does not disappoint. If you liked the original Zen but need something that will not read the midlane as early, this is the piece for you!

NEW ZEN! Cleanest and Snappiest Zen by A LOT. I loved my OG Zen but itβs very strong. There were times I wanted the Zen to be quicker downlane. Zen Gold Label solves that. IT HOOOOKKKS on the back. Need I say more?

The new ball release from 900 Global is the Zen Gold Label. Using the same Meditate core but using the New Reserve Blend 901 pearl coverstock. I drilled mine with a 4 1/2 pin, pin above fingers. I was only one of the few who just thought the original Zen ball was just okay. For me the Zen was early had a lot of midlane to the ball motion. Which with my roll it was conditional for me. But with the new pearl cover, the Gold label is much cleaner and responsive down lane for me. I have tried the Gold Label out on a couple sport patterns and the typical house shot. Our centers have 20+ old Brunswick Pro Anvil lanes. On 45 ft Sport shot with lower volume, I started with my Storm Summit on the fresh, after about a game and half the Summit start to bog down to much to get the ten out, so I switched to the Gold Label and it was a perfect fit. As it was able to to get down lane easier and store the needed energy to get the 10 out.
On the house shot I actually had to move a good amount to the right with feet and target as it was just too clean on the fresh. But was able to chase it left once the heads broke down a little. Then that is where the Gold label really shined the most. Gave me a lot of miss room downlane.
I have drilled 3-4 of the Gold labels for customers, and all are really surprised with
the amount of backend the Gold label has, especially compared to the original Zen.
The Gold label has also been #1 at most of the Storm Match makers that we have held so far. This ball is going to be a top seller period its that good!

Review:
The Zen Gold Label features a pearl coverstock combined with the famous Meditate symmetric core. The Reacta Gloss finish of this cover will provide the most skid/flip reaction we have in the 800 series. For me, I went with a 2K, 3K over the OOB finish after testing this ball. Currently, for THS conditions I'm rolling on two older HPL surfaces that have a lot of friction.
I noted above the slight surface change. For me, my high rev rate and slower ball speed preferes some surface on most pearls. As a general rule, I personally prefer more control of bigger pearls in the arsenal.
I was able to test the Zen Gold Label on a 43 foot typical house pattern. The Gold Label for me was an easy read as I sent it down the lane. Along with several other testers most have been impressed with how easy the ball gets to the spot. Carry was exceptional with the Zen Gold Label once I put a touch of surface on the ball.
Compared to two original Zens (1500 polished and Reacta Gloss) the Gold Label goes much longer through the front part of the lane. In addition the Gold Label has a bit more angle over the original Zens. I'm excited to see how long I can stay in the Gold Label as lanes transition. More to come on this ball.
Be sure to try out the 900 Global Zen Gold Label and fill that gap for league and medium volume patterns. I'm definitely excited to use the Gold label in league competion. Please be sure to visit your favorite pro shop today!

The 900 Global Zen Gold Label has a low RG value of 2.49 a high differential of 0.051.
900 Global came out with a Reserve Blend 801 Pearl Cover combined with the Meditate Symmetric Core, the Gold Label will dominate any medium-heavy condition you can throw at it.
As seen before in the Zen Series, the Meditate Symmetric Core with a low RG and high differential along sides a very clean cover as the Reserve Blend 801 Pearl cover will give you a very clean look through the mid lane and smooth and controllable backend reaction.
Whether you have a super high rev rate or a super low rev rate, or a rev rate somewhere in the middle, this Low RG, High Differential, Symmetrical core produces a constant stable motion off your hand and all the way through the pin deck.
In comparison to the 900 Global Xponent, the Xponent is the poster child for a benchmark ball fits right in the middle of a Summit and the Zen Gold Label. The Xponent will very smooth, continuous, and very predictable. The Zen Gold Label will be the perfect 1-2 punch on a house condition or on tour where you need a ball for the transition / burn.
In the bag, will be the Summit, Xponent, Zen Gold Label and Storm Hyroad Pearl

Hey everyone, I'm back with another ball review, and this time it's for the 900 Global Zen Gold Label!
In 15 pounds this ball is wrapped in The ALL-NEW Reserve Blend 801 Pearl Cover and comes with Reacta Gloss and an RG of 2.49, Diff of .051.
I don't get to throw as many of the 900 Global balls as I would like and haven't thrown the entire ZEN line. With that being said I did throw the ZEN Master and ZEN Soul and both balls came with surface and were much stronger than the ZEN Gold Label as this ball comes shiny and reacta gloss. Just these surface differences make these balls different and can be in the same bag I did find the ZEN Soul and Master to be very close to each other and would not suggest them to be paired together.
Onto the review of the ZEN Gold Label I did find this a fun ball to throw and what that means for me is being a low rev player I like these kinds of balls that get down the lane and restore energy for the end of the pattern. Staying closer to the gutter and track is where I found it to be best as I moved left I did not have the revs to get it back. I do see this ball getting a lot of play after a few games are on the pair or a shorter pattern and/or lower volume of oil is on the lane.

Enter another Zen!
I was a very avid thrower of the original Zen. Love the smoother yet quicker motion of the original. I put many many games on that ball, but I always said I wish the cover was slightly weaker. Being in Western PA we deal with a lot of friction meaning that the bigger the core the more tendencies to βburn upβ or loose energy. The Gold Label having that weaker/cleaner cover is exactly the answer. The reserve blend 801 cover gets the ball down lane easier than the Response S77 cover of the original but makes that same Zen motion. I believe this is even more versatile than the original one and used by a wide variety of styles. It is a step down from the original Zen or the Roto Grip Duo when those balls are hooking too early. It would be a great piece for the middle of anyoneβs bag.
#ZenballGood
The new 900 Global Zen Gold Label features the same Mediate Symmetric core in the other Zens, but this one is wrapped in the Reserve Blend 801 Pearl coverstock. At 15 pounds, the RG is 2.49 and the differential is .051. Drilled at 5x4x2 (pin above bridge) compared to my original Zen drilled the same way, the Gold Label is much cleaner (about 4-5 feet) and has a much stronger, almost skid/flip reaction on the backend. I was not as big of a fan as the original Zen as much of the bowling community was. I did like it, but for me it was a ball that I couldnβt throw for more than two games as it just didnβt carry the corners when I had to really feed it to the right. I donβt have that problem with the Gold Label. This ball just keeps on coming when you throw it to the dry. For me the original Zen and the Gold Label make a great 1-2 combination.
I go long down 7 to 10 hits break with a vengeance. Pots are coming left and right. First tournament coming in Nov , look out folks.

The 900 Global Zen Gold Label is a pleasant surprise for me. As someone who didn't find great success with the original Zen, the Gold Label provides a dependable motion down lane that I was looking for. This ball floats through the front part of the lane a bit easier than the original Zen and gives me a strong yet controllable motion as it exits the pattern.
On a THS, I have been able to play a variety of angles from the track to 4th arrow.
I will definitely be putting this ball in the tournament bag for when I need to start migrating left mid-way through the block on sport conditions.

I'm not a cranker but this ball goes long and breaks hard into the pocket. Ball stores a lot of energy and explodes the rack. I rolled just three games but I know my scores will increase significantly.
Zen ball good! The Zen has been one of my favorite balls for the last 2 years and I am confident that the Zen gold label will be a great addition to the Zen family. The gold label is a little cleaner than the original Zen with more downlane shape. If you are a fan of the Zen, but you would like to have a cleaner option, then you need to get out and get a Zen Gold Label. I personally do not think that I would have both the Zen and the Gold Label in the same bag because they have too similar of an option. I have loved what I have seen out of this ball so far and I look forward to adding this ball to my tournament and house shot arsenal. Go out and get yours today!

The new Zen Gold Label had the Meditate Symmetric Core that was in the original Zen, with a new Reserve Blend 801 Pearl Coverstock. With this new cover, you will see a clean reaction through the fronts, getting plenty of length, with a sharp backend reaction. The original Zen was used more on fresh or heavier oil patterns, but the new Gold Label is a perfect complement to the Zen when the lanes begin to break down. On a house shot, typically I will go to this ball around the end of game 1. Once I switch, I can move left and start to open up the lane. This ball has no issues getting down the lane but has so much recovery on the back end, you won't believe your eyes. I also have found I use this ball quite a bit on some of the shorter sport patterns. I do not have to overthrow the ball through the dry in the midlane, which helps keep the ball around the pocket.

Unpopular opinion…I wasnβt a huge fan of the OG Zen. Call me crazy, but I just didnβt gel with it.
The Gold Label is NOT the OG Zen.
The Gold Label is finally a piece that I feel we have missed for a long time. A strong, bigger piece that is clean and angular. The last ball I thought did this was the Phaze4. The Phase 5 didnβt do it for me…but this Gold Label does it all!!
I did drilled 2 of them. One of them is pin up and the other is pin down. The pin up one is 5x5x2 and I keep it at box surface. Itβs clean and angular. When I need to get in and wheel it, this ball eats!
The other one is pin down 4.5x4.5x3.75 with the surface cracked at 3,000. This one is earlier and smoother. I recently started a night of league with 300-300 with this ball! When I want to keep my angles a little more closed, this is the ball I pick up!

The Zen Gold Label was a bit of a surprise for me. As the original Zen wasnβt the cleanest through the fronts, I was thinking the Gold Label would still have some of that characteristic. However, with the chance in the coverstock, this ball is extremely clean. That means it doesnβt hook in the early part of the lane. Compared to the original Zen, I think this ball is slightly weaker but sharper off the backend. I use this ball mainly on house shots, and think it will fit in a lot of players arsenals! Give it a shot!

I have been bowling with the 900 Global Zen Gold Label for a few months now and I am very impressed with its performance. This ball is smooth through the front part of the lane, angular on the backend and dominate on medium conditions. Smoother and less rolly to my eyes than the OG Zen.
I did not like the reacta-gloss finish, so it is at 4000 Abralon no polish. It has a great combination of length and hook potential, thanks to the Reserve Blend 801 Pearl coverstock and the Meditate symmetric core. The ball reacts well to different hand positions and release angles, allowing me to open up the lane and create more entry angle to the pocket. The ball also hits hard and carries well, especially on the light hits. The Zen Gold Label is a versatile and reliable ball that can handle a variety of lane patterns and transitions. It is definitely one of my favorite balls in my arsenal and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a high performance pearl ball that can handle some oil. The Zen Gold Label is the cleanest and most responsive Zen to date as per SPI.

The 900 Global Zen Gold Label utilizes the Special Reserve Batch #801 pearl coverstock and the Meditate weight block. First impressions are easy length and good backend motion. There are times the pearl cover is too clean for fresh oil conditions. The Gold Label definitely has a place in the bag for when transition starts. The motion of the Gold Label is different than the original Zen. The Zen Soul and Zen Gold label have big shoes to fill so I donβt think it is fair to compare. The Gold Label will be my No. 3 or 4 ball out of my bag.

I drilled my GL 4x4x2 same as my original Zen and I am still more favorable to the original. This ball for me goes to long and still doesn't want to corner as much when I first threw it. I touched the surface with 3000 to knock the shine off which made it better and much more controllable.
The Zen Gold Label by 900 Global is one of the newest additions to the 800 batch and itβs been impressive so far. After drilling the original Zen and having a ton of success with it, seeing a pearl version has created a perfect 1-2 combo in the line. With a black, pearl coverstock and a massive, symmetrical weight block, the Gold Label is perfect for creating length through the front part of the lane, storing energy, and creating an extremely quick response time into the pocket.
Iβve drilled one so far and think it rolls great. Itβs mapped out as 5.5 x 4 x 3. This puts the pin above my bridge with a decent sized shift of the CG toward my PAP. From a surface standpoint, Iβve left the surface alone and let some oil get in the coverstock. The Gold Label has stayed extremely shiny but I know when I go to it, Iβm going to need to stand left and expect a lot of angle in front of the pins. As lane surfaces get older and as bowling centers put out less volume, the Gold Label is a perfect ball to drill for some of those drier conditions. Itβs been a perfect compliment to my original Zen, the Xponent, and Eternity. Iβve had the most success once patterns break down and stretch, while still needing something to read the body of the lane.
If you drilled an original Zen and liked it, or if you need a symmetrical piece that will fly through the front and create a fast response time down-lane, go drill yourself a 900 Global Zen Gold Label!
The Zen Gold Label is great if you desire a little zing off the spot compared to the original Zen which was a staple in league play when it came out. Get yours at your local pro shop today.

I drilled up my ZEN GOLD LABEL with a 5.25 x 4 x 4 layout. This put the pin over my middle finger. This is a layout I prefer when the fronts are starting to go and my bigger balls are picking up too quickly and forcing me into larger angles. I slightly have glazed the cover with a 3000 CTD pad which is almost like 2000 SiaAir pads.
I have put this up against my EXOTIC GEM, CLONE, & DUO which are my shinier choices for most medium/slightly wetter conditions. The ZEN GOLD LABEL did exactly what I needed in that it just glides thru the front of the lane much easier than the EXOTIC GEM and CLONE. My DUO was the same length in the front but a more slower move in the back compared to the ZEN GOLD LABEL. On slightly slicker patterns, the CLONE and EXOTIC GEM were better looks but I could get really shut down angles and try to force it up the gut so to speak. Even then, I had to be too perfect to justify not using the EXOTIC or CLONE at that point.
Drill this one up if you have a tougher time getting your bigger pieces to get thru burnt front panels and want something that still has some pop on it down lane.

The latest Zen release the Gold Label features a new cover, the 901 Reverve Blend Pearl. In relation to the original Zen this cover is weaker and cleaner than the pearl cover on the Zen. With this release and the removal of one of my favorites, the Phaze V from the line, I wanted my
Gold Label to replace it in my arsenal. Since this is a weaker cover, like the R2S pearl that is featured on the Phaze V, I drilled it with a higher pin buffer to get the ball to read the lane earlier.
The higher pin buffer and a stronger symmetrical weight block allows the ball to read more in the mid lane and be more responsive off the end of the pattern. The only drawback is that if I get too steep with my angles the ball does tend to roll forward on the house shot. I picked this layout to use this ball when the lanes transition on the longer PBA 50 patterns. But this ball also gives me a stronger symmetrical ball when I bowl on house patterns with a lot of friction.
This piece is not an exact replacement for the Phaze V but gives me a comparable shape in my arsenal. I removed the Reacta Gloss with a 1000 abralon and have let the ball shine back up to give me a ball surface that is easily repeatable.

Unlike many people, I didnβt get the hype with the original Zen. It was okay, but I think I tried to make it something it wasnβt with a pin-down layout and it just didnβt match up for me. The Zen Gold Label keeps the same symmetric Meditate core from the original, but put it into the new Reserve Blend 801 pearl overstock. The 801 overstock is weaker (meaning it goes longer) and is more angular than the original, giving it more of a skid/flip or hockey stick shape. This is a great option after the lanes start to break down and you need to move deeper and still have enough energy to kick the corners out.

Zen Gold Label has been a surprise for me. Really liked the original Zen and was nervous that this would be a let down. My layout was a 5x4x4 This gets my pin pretty much right above the 2 fingers. This big core matched with the pearl cover gets the ball through the fronts than really banking on the back end. Storing all that energy to really crush through the pins. This ball has been great on the fresh. Also great when they start to dry up and you want to create that steep angel to the pocket. Grab some Gold Label

There has been some really good equipment that is being released right now from Storm, Roto Grip and 900 Global and it all starts with this Zen Gold Label. Letβs talk about the Zen Gold Label. All I can say is FANTASTIC. The Zen Gold Label is going to be able to replace most of my dryer condition equipment. Instead of having two balls to transition too I will just need the Gold Label. It will be very versatile for you and will be able to play straight or get deep with this and carry out the corners. So smooth and controllable off the break point with plenty of hitting power. The back end on the Gold Label is what I was looking for Zen from the and just couldnβt get this reaction out of the Zen. Put the Gold Label on the pallet list because this ball is special.

Even better than the original

The gold label was made to be like the original zen but more angular and it does exactly that. I never have to worry about the zen GL making the corner where i had to trick the original one in order to get back from far left. When i get around it, the zen GL is probably the most angular ball in my bag. More off the spot than my Journey, VEBO and even some weaker stuff like IQ ruby and duo. Obviously this ball needs a little bit of friction but once its there, this ball looks so amazing. Like i mentioned, i never have to worry aboutmaking the corner because i know i can just throw it to the friction and itll come off of it. Still my go to sym pearl even with all the clean/shiny stuff out right now.

The 900 Global Zen Gold Label is in a word, RESPONSIVE. The original Zen was extremely strong front to back for a symmetric pearl, and the biggest difference I see here is how much cleaner and quicker down the lane the reserve blend 801 cover is than the S74 on the Zen. I went with 5 3/4 x 4 x 2 for the layout and the ball never sees the first 15 feet of the lane, even on somewhat burned up lanes. This ball isn't necessarily something I would recommend as the first ball out of your bag as it can be a little unpredictable at box surface on fresh oil, but as soon as your bigger stuff starts to burn up a little or get lazy down the lane, this is the go-to for creating shape down the lane and through the pins. I threw mine at box surface as well as with 1000/step 2 polish and both were excellent...box surface being a little cleaner and more responsive. If you have the OG Zen, the Gold Label creates an extremely effective 1-2 punch. If not, it complements bigger/stronger covers very well as the first step down out of those.

The Zen Gold Label features the same Meditate Core that is in all of the other Zens but this one is wrapped with the Reserve Blend 801 Pearl Coverstock. The Gold Label and me definitely had a shaky start. Out of the box it was a little bit too clean and whippy for me so I put it away for a few weeks. Then I went to bowl a tournament and I hit it with a 1000 grit pad and ever since then I absolutely love it. I recently won a doubles tournament solely throwing the Gold Label! Now that it has lane shined back up it does exactly what I wanted it to do. Now it reads the midlane a lot more overall but still has a killer amount of backend so it blends the lane out so much better. For anybody wondering how it compares to some of the other balls in the lineup it is definitely longer and sharper the the Original Zen but weaker and longer compared to the Eternity. So if you are looking for a really good sharp benchmark type reaction in a pearl ball than look no further than the Zen Gold Label!!!

The Zen Gold Label satisfies the need for a ball to go to after the original Zen – it is 2-3 feet cleaner and has a βflippierβ motion in the backend. Whereas the original Zen has a good amount of midlane traction, the Gold Label moves that traction a few feet further down the lane. The end result is a ball that is best at home on medium to medium-dry conditions. Due to how clean this ball is in the front part of the lane, it is not best for heavier or longer oil conditions, nor was it designed for those. The original Zen, Xponent, or Sublime would be one ball stronger, and the Eternity Pi would be the choice for true heavy oil.

I am a higher speed, rev challenged 220-250ish, high tilt, high rotation, and super low track player. I drilled my 900 Global Zen Gold Label 5 x 3 x 2 and my axis point is 3 ¼ right and 7/8 up. The Zen Gold Label is a strong symmetric pearl reactive piece that I really like to use lanes with low volume and high friction. The low Rg and high diff gives this ball high flare potential when I need something to be clean and off the spot this is the ball to go to.

Product surpassed my expectations and increased my score a considerable amount. ball has great curve potential and because of the weight has power. I was using a 14 lb and the weight difference does take a little to get used to, but the ball is amazing for beginners and intermediate players
