[Music] Change me. Don't change me. >> Got no regrets. I'm on the run. Chasing the check. Dropping the top. Riding the vet. Feeling myself. What you expect? You know I'm with it. No better feeling cuz I could have quit but I didn't. When I'm on a mission. [Music] >> What's going on social media land? Today man we're looking at the Ember from Global. And you know, the Zen25, I guess, came out like what, seven 7 months ago now, like
in January. So, you know, bring another Symmetric Pearl out makes some sense. You know, the Zen 25 though, I feel like it's still really good. Josie Barnes just won like the big event with it. Um, so, you know, I don't not my not my job, man. I'm just going to enjoy the the product. I'm not going to question them why they came out with it. Maybe the sales are starting to dip on the Zen 25. Maybe you guys should pick up the Z25. I don't know if it's on discount yet or not, but if it is, I strongly suggest you go pick one up. Great bowling ball. But today, we're
going to take a look at this one. And this one has again a little bit lower of differential. The RGs are I think right around the same thing. Early thought, this probably going to be a smidge quicker. Smitch, just a smidge. But who knows? Z25 can surprise me. One of my favorite balls to launch at the top of the year. I think even more than the Black Wid Mania. So, hey man, let's get let's get to it, man. I know that's what y'all here for. See the ball go down the lane. Then some subsequent videos, right? We'll get to again the Crown Vic, which is just the daddy ball and um then
also the four steel. So, like, subscribe, links for everything below. Shoes I'm rocking today are the Gladiator Stones. So, uh yeah, let's get busy. We do have some transition. I threw the cove and I threw a Ethereum solid out here. So Wayne should be perfect for symmetric pearl.
Fell back a little bit. I'm going throw a little bit a little bit harder. Just a wee bit. All right. So then on 20. Ah, so definitely a little toasty over there to the right. I probably just again break the wrist a little bit and again not come around as much. Should be able to get to the pocket. I feel confident saying that. But this Ember like color-wise, man, it gives me like
Respect Pearl vibes. If you if you're a Global fan from way back when, definitely like Respect Pearl. So again, trying to add a little speed, motiv. We got We got 10.
Oh. Oh, that's saw some oil in. Woohoo. I'm curious to see again what it's going to do, you know, the further left we get. Does it get arcier or does it get crazy whippy? Over left 25. [Music] Huh.
I thought that would would have, you know, took off a little bit more. But maybe that's part of that again that differential being a little bit lower. You know, it's not a low differential, but lower than his Z25 there. It's not like super crazy. That definitely again got to be a little slower. That one really got like almost out there to like two, like 32 area and it had enough to get up the hill, but
definitely feel like I got to slow down just a pinch. So, I'm going to throw like one or two more shots and then we'll get to this 25. >> Yeah. So, >> yeah. Little little smoother.
Put a little more ump on it. There we go. All right. So, again, got to be a little more aggressive. It'll definitely again start to go. All right. I'm going hit a little further left now cuz that look crazy. Oh. Oh. Okay. Hey, now we talking. Definitely feels
stronger, earlier ball reaction than, you know, Hyro 40. Definitely. [Music] But again, still get pretty pretty pretty clean. Um, who is Z25? I gotta see. Like, hey, again, Z25 is really good one for me. So, I'm just curious.
Zen 25 still might be daddy ball. It still might in relation to this one. The Zen is hopefully they don't discontinue the Zen in for the Ember like that's hopefully they don't do that. Oh. Oh, baby. Oh, baby.
Yeah. So, maybe your Z25 is old and you need to ready to replace it, then that kind of makes sense. But if you're still loving on your Z25, the Ember is like a little bit cleaner ball. Um, I feel like it's not as it doesn't feel like as early. Um, but yeah, Z5 still feel like overall a little bit more. I don't say they worlds apart, but a little bit more.
So, it definitely feels like the more you hit up on it, right, the quicker it gets. And like some bowling balls, right, are just like that angular where it doesn't matter what you do, like it's just going to hockey stick left. This one feels like a more tunable. Hey, if you if I want to play straight with this ball, like I can I can just lay off of it and, you know, flush fluff it up the lane and it'll just do that. Um, so yeah. Yeah, that's what we got so far.
Aggressive. Yes. And the more aggressive you get, the more aggressive this ball becomes. And yeah, I'm definitely seeing that, too. So, yeah, you definitely can chase a left. And if you get a handful of it, this ball's going to shape like crazy. I think I watched some of Ryan Barnes video that's been out and his looks crazy sideways. And he gets all of it. So, that makes some sense.
Yeah. So feel like the Zen is probably just overall stronger ball, but like the more I hit it, like it still is going to kind of arc where I feel like the ember is going to get like a little quicker, dirtier, a little more directional. One of my favorite terms, directional. [Music] And if you think about like the Grin that recently came out, like the this still feels like a ball down. like it doesn't feel nearly like as sideways as
as a Gremlin. So again rolled. Let's see if we can do the same thing with the ember. Yeah. So symmetric I feel like float somewhere in between. So
So again, universal police, but definitely a clear complement to the Cove. I would hit the Cove with probably a little more surface and really go from there. But both balls really good. Zen 25 definitely again bigger, arcier ball and Ember gives me like I can tweak it, you know, with my hand. Whichever part of land I want to play, you can do it. Um, so yeah, N Global Ember. There you have it. Uh, we did some tracking today with this ball, not going to lie. Colors, again,
I'm a OG. Like when N Global came back, the Respect Line, Respect Pearl, this gives me like a a more a more responsive respect pearl cuz that one like that ball like super OD clean. Uh, this is again a little bit more of a benchmark pearl. I just got to say that. But until next time, guys. Man, links for everything. I'mma keep it moving. I'mma keep them. You sleeping on me, just keep snoozing. I'm so locked in right
Performance Analysis
Performance Analysis
Testing on a standard house shot pattern revealed the 900 Global Ember to be a consistent, predictable striking ball with notably clean angular motion. Independent reviewers observed the ball reading the lane effectively through the mid-lane while maintaining control at the breakpoint. Out of the box with the Power Edge polish finish (5500 surface), the ball demonstrated excellent length before making a sharp move to the pocket, generating the type of carrying power expected from a medium-heavy oil ball. The symmetric core (2.49 RG, 0.044 differential) produced a straightforward motion path with room for error, allowing bowlers to play multiple angles on the approach without dramatic inconsistency. Testers noted the ball performed particularly well when thrown with a clean release, as the reactive pearl coverstock responded well to friction and lane transitions without over-hooking.
When surface adjustments were applied, the Ember’s true coverstock strength became apparent. Reducing the finish from Power Edge to 4000 grit created a noticeably smoother, more controlled reaction—the ball still read the lane but with less aggressive angularity and earlier track initiation. This versatility proved valuable: testers demonstrated how the polished finish provides extra back-end motion and length for fresh or heavier oil patterns, while a dulled surface tames the reaction for high-friction or worn lane conditions. The ball’s behavior across both states suggested the RB82 Pro coverstock maintains moderate strength rather than extreme aggression, making it responsive to surface changes without becoming unpredictable. Reviewers confirmed the Ember consistently generated solid pocket hits and pin action throughout testing, with no unexpected deflection or erratic motion.
Who Is This Ball For?
The 900 Global Ember is well-suited for bowlers throwing medium-heavy oil conditions who value consistency and predictability in their equipment. House shot bowlers, league players, and those transitioning from entry-level equipment will find the ball’s straight-forward motion and forgiving margin for error especially useful. The symmetric core makes it an excellent choice for bowlers who haven’t yet refined their release consistency, as the ball performs reliably across multiple hand positions and speeds. Additionally, this ball appeals to players who like having surface customization options—those willing to experiment with polish or grit adjustments to fine-tune reaction based on lane conditions will get strong performance from the Ember’s responsive coverstock.
Bowlers seeking a workhorse ball for league play rather than a specialized asymmetric piece will benefit from the Ember’s straightforward characteristics and mid-range price point. It pairs well with bowlers who already understand basic surface maintenance and are looking to expand their arsenal with a dependable medium-heavy option. This ball is less ideal for players exclusively bowling fresh oil patterns who need maximum length, or for those in extremely dry conditions where a ball with more aggressive motion is required, but for the vast majority of recreational and serious league bowlers on standard house conditions, the Ember delivers the balance of control and power this market segment demands.

This ball is very clean but isn't afraid to cover some boards. I think this will make for an excellent burn ball.

The new hybrid ball is called the Cove. It features a smaller core than you saw in the zen line. The drop in differential is complimented by a new RB85 cover that features a rapid oil absorption rate. This gives you an incredibly consistant mid-lane read with great continuation. I tested the cover for the first time in league. I figured with it's mid differential I would have to square it up a bit more. I gotta tell you this cover gives you more than you'd expect given the core numbers. I was at least as far left as I was accustomed to playing with my Zen 25. The shape is definitely mid-laney and smooth. It really reminds me of the XPonent in the mid-lane. If there was anything the X-ponent suffered from it was that is saw the mids so hard it stuggled to finish when covering boards. The Cove corrects that and as a result is one of my new favorite pieces. I honestly didn't go into the ball with high expectations but I think this ball is gonna be a surprise for a lot of bowlers. It looked great first game out. I did change out of it just because I had other balls I wanted to test that night, but another look at it the next day revealed that it was still in play at the end of the league session. It also seems to respond well to hand position changes so it's pretty versatile. This ball should be a fantastic tournament piece but it is great on the house shot too. I feel like this is one of those balls that might fit different parts of the bag for different people but that will be useful for everyone.

The Ember takes over and shines when the Cove burns up. The Ember has Power Edge which has become a proven polish in the industry. These balls are in the middle of the back / benchmark space in the bag and I do see where you can carry both in the bag. When the Cove burned up in the track the Ember still floated in the fronts and kept the same shape with energy into the pins. Both Cove and Ember will be seen thrown alot with this upcoming league and tournament season. 900 Global Ember & Cove – SPI’s Latest Additions Deliver Versatility and Precision The 900 Global Ember and Cove are the newest additions to the SPI family, and both bring unique motion characteristics that fill key gaps in any competitive arsenal. I drilled both at 4.5 x 3, and despite sharing a layout, they each offer distinctly different shapes that I was looking to add to my bag.
