what's going on guys welcome back to the channel my name is LS and on today's video we're going to be reviewing the allnew hustle BR so guys make sure to hit that like button subscribe hit that notification Bell something like 60% of you guys are not subscribed and i' would appreciate it if you just took a second hit that subscribe button if you like the Jersey I'm wearing in this video or in any of my videos cool wick.com promo code napis 10 they get you 10% off your entire order and down below in the description there's going be a link where you can order this order this hustle BR or the ball spinner it's by a company called d lab those links are in
the description and also if you go to howto.com and use my promo code Lewis it gets you 30% off your annual membership so let's talk about the BR it releases alongside the X-ray on April the 19th and so we're going to talk a little bit about the differences and how I think that they can play off one another let's start with the core it's the same core that's in all the hustles which is the hustle core 15 lb is an RG of 2.53 and a Max differential 0030 uh wrapped around that is the VTC hybrid
that comes out of box at that reactor gloss finish so I think that's going to be the big differences right there where this one is a hybrid that comes polished the X-ray is a solid that comes sanded so you're definitely going to be able to play one off the other and I think that's the intent behind releasing both of these at the at the same time when we talk about the layout it's going to be the same layout that I use on all my bowling balls 30X 4 1/2 by 30 and we're going to be here on Lane 64 on a very very very moderately transitioned house
shot let me know Down Below in the comments what is your favorite hustle of all time my personal favorite hustle of all time was the ink and in my opinion there has not been another hustle as good as that one I'm hoping that the X-ray or this BR can go on in that lineage and be the best hustle that we've ever seen we'll see you here on the lanes All right so this is going to be literally the very first shot thrown with this hustle BR y I just got done reviewing the X-ray on this Lane so again very minorly transitioned let's see what this very
first shot of the spot looks like got that right a little bit okay so I got that right and it didn't quite boom as much as I thought it was it was very very smooth actually even though it does have that reactor gloss let's throw another shot from there and I'm already surprised by it cuz I thought it would be way quicker down Lane all right let's go back to that same spot not miss right and see if it still gets there I may have to move
right yeah so it hooks a bunch but it doesn't like jump it's very very round even though it has the Polish it kind of threw me off a little bit so we're going to move left off that and keep it uh in I don't really like shaping I don't like shoving it to the friction with this weak of a core and cover are we going to move like two left I think that this BR y might end up being the stronger one of the two maybe the more Dynamic one of the
two yeah that's that's pretty strong I think however I still prefer the X-ray a little bit earlier a little bit smoother but this BR y it I think it's going to be a really good bank for your buck out hooks its price for sure yeah but the X-ray is closer to that you know all right same spot here let's try to repeat another high quality one yeah that thing hooks man for a $100
ball yeah when I think of bang for your buck this is what I'm looking at right here this is going to be a good one for you guys ah see that's what I wor this is why I don't like moving in with weaker balls like this is because you get into a little puddle of oil and the ball has no chance it almost forces you to play either straight or shove it to the friction all right same spot but we're
going to try to get this one further right I do want to throw a few shots from a little straighter too just to see yeah that I mean that looks good I don't don't love creating those super large angles through the fronts but we'll just keep throwing a few shots from there until that goes away all right let's see if I can repeat that get it to the right get it to the friction Miss left by a
mile yeah I I'm not good at shoving it right at Testament by that 2810 so let's just actually let's just move right to a more comfortable spot on the lane I like all right so we're going to move right just to see look guys if I was good at standing left and shoving it right I think this F would look amazing for me I'm just not good at doing that so we're going to get to a spot on the lane that I'm good at and see what this looks [Music]
like frustrating all right so that straight shot's never going to never going to carry let's move way left and slow hook it and see what this looks like okay that I think I can repeat so let's do a couple more with that all right let's see if we can't repeat that shot let's see let's see let's
see see it oh yeah yeah I like that I don't love it from straighter in fact at all and I think I still prefer the X-ray but if I got to get left and kind of slow hook it like that I think it looks pretty good from there all right see if we can do it three times in a row now let's make a high quality shot here okay that's good from there that's
good Chris that's good yeah all right hustle BR y slow hook really good from straight not so much [Music] oh I got that slow or I got sorry I got that fast and it had no chance it was close whatever throw one more from left and then wrap it up all right this will be the last shot here of the video the last shot I threw was a little fast so we're going to slow
down a little bit Jordan this one's for you bro [Music] good good shot to end the video to summarize the hustle BR y I still prefer the X-ray I think the X-ray is a better ball for me in my game however if the lanes call for me to move in like this and shape it I would I I'd prefer the BR over the X-ray so there're two balls that are going to be used in two different ways two different situations
and uh I hope you guys love these balls when they release on April the 19th
Performance Analysis
Performance Analysis
Testing revealed the Roto Grip Hustle M+M to be a dependable option on fresh house patterns and lower-oil conditions. On a typical house shot from the breakpoint, independent reviewers observed the ball responded predictably to friction without excessive backend reaction. The symmetric core (RG 2.55, differential .030) combined with the reactive pearl coverstock produced a controlled arc that allowed bowlers to play straighter than higher-performance equipment. Notably, the ball’s moderate differential meant missed shots inside the pocket—a critical advantage for bowlers still developing consistency—would not result in severe over-hooking or “Greek churching” into the gutter. This forgiving motion characteristic made it possible to maintain the same line through multiple shots with only minor adjustments.
The pearl coverstock lanes shined relatively quickly on fresh oil, which testers identified as a factor to monitor throughout a session. Testing suggested that surface adjustments could extend the ball’s utility; reviewers noted interest in experimenting with lower grit surfaces (2,000–3,000) to increase friction engagement, potentially allowing the ball to perform effectively as conditions transitioned. On the test pattern, the ball generated modest length before a controlled, predictable angular response in the back end—ideal for bowlers who prioritize accuracy and reaction consistency over aggressive motion. The mid-range price point ($109.95) made it an accessible entry point for bowlers seeking a dedicated fresh-oil or transitional piece without premium-tier equipment costs.
Who Is This Ball For?
The Hustle M+M is well-suited for bowlers in the 150–180 average range who bowl primarily on house patterns or lower-to-medium oil conditions. Newer bowlers and those developing their fundamentals will benefit from its forgiving nature and predictable miss room; the ball rewards solid technique without punishing marginal misses. Bowlers who prefer control and accuracy over maximum revs and backend aggression will find its moderate motion particularly appealing.
This ball also works well as a second or transitional piece for advancing bowlers who need reliable equipment for fresh-oil shots before moving into more complex oil-pattern management. The affordable price makes it an ideal stepping stone into reactive resin technology without the investment of premium performance balls. League bowlers on a budget who want to move beyond plastic equipment will find genuine performance gains with this ball on the oil volumes where it’s designed to excel.
The Pros
- • VTC Pearl Reactive with Reacta Gloss pushes clean through the heads for maximum length at this price point
- • Outstanding value at $109.95 — outperforms many balls costing $40-50 more on dry-to-medium conditions
- • Hustle symmetric core produces a smooth, predictable shape that builds confidence for developing bowlers
- • Pearl coverstock makes it the ideal late-block ball when lanes have dried up
The Cons
- • Limited effectiveness on medium-heavy or heavier oil — the .030 differential cannot overpower volume
- • Conservative core design means higher rev players will not get much shape out of it

Bowlers Say
Bowlers say the Hustle M+M is exceptional value, delivering performance that outperforms its price point. It's praised for being clean through the fronts with sharp, responsive backend reaction on medium-dry to dry conditions. Many find it ideal for broken-down house shots and as a step-down ball when stronger equipment is too much.

Ball fits well in my son’s arsenal. His lowest game with it has been a 192 on house shot and a 167 on sport shot.

Layout: 4 1/2 x 4 1/4 x 3 (60 x 4 1/2 x 40) Surface: Reacta Gloss The new Hustle M&M brings back the Hustle Core and VTC Pearl coverstock found in the Hustle Wine. The new color scheme makes it really stand out going down the lane on the shelf. While testing on a typical house pattern, I saw pretty easy length and angular backend that was great for the lower oil condition. When comparing this to the Hustle RIP, I saw a few more feet of length and more angular backend by about 2-3 boards overall. This ball had faster response than the Hustle RIP due to the pearl coverstock. I think the best use for this ball would be broken down house conditions or lower volume sport patterns where you need more length and an angular motion. If you had a Hustle Camo and need more angularity, this is the ball for you. If you liked the Hustle Wine, this can be a nice replacement. To me compared to the hustle wine, I saw slightly more midlane roll with the M&M but don't think it would be ideal to have both balls unless they have different drillings. As with any pearl ball, you can remove the reacta gloss for extra traction and smoother ball motion. Adam Chase Storm Staff

Roto Grip Hustle M-M Ball Specs: Hustle Core with VTC Pearl Reactive cover and finished with Reacta Gloss Layout Specs: 50 x 4 x 70 tested on THS with slight bit of out of bounds towards the gutters and Pro Lane panels My insight: Mine out of the box reminded me of a really cool lava lamp I had back in my early childhood, the midnight blue and magenta is liquidly smooth. On the lanes, using a layout similar to my Hustle Wine, I see a little stronger and earlier movement then the Wine, where the Wine tends to skid a little bit more in the front and heavier part of the pattern, the M-M picked up a smidge earlier, but did not give up any strength in the backend. Compared to the Hustle RIP, I was using the same tracer board downlane and four boards left on the approach as a starting point, and a gentle reminder: I am left handed, so keep that in mind. If you go to my facebook page, you can watch a down lane video of the M-M and the RIP to see how much quicker the RIP makes a direction change. The sheer smoothness of the Hustle M-M is amazing for the line of balls it fits into. Once again, Roto Grip has outdone themselves again with the new Hustle M-M! To me it means MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM, more strikes!

Cover: VTC Pearl Reactive Core: Hustle RG: 2.53 RG. Diff.: 0.030 Finish: Reacta Gloss Roto Grip’s new Hustle M&M is a Pearl Symmetrical piece that is good for Light-Medium Oil conditions. This is a controllable piece with the Medium RG & Diff. Core design. PAP is 5 5/16 R 1 3/16 Up. Rev Rate: 400. Speed: 16.5. Drilled this piece with the Pin over the Ring Finger with the CG kicked out 1 1/2” from the palm. Out of Box ball motion was clean through the fronts with a sharp backend reaction. This piece is good for Light – Medium Oil Patterns. I compared this piece to the Roto Grip Hustle Wine, Storm Hy-Road (Hybrid), and Storm Hy-Road Pearl. Wine was 1-2 boards weaker. Hy-Road (Hybrid) was 1-2 Stronger all around. Hy-Road Pearl was similar to the M&M. Check Out the Ball motion Video on my YouTube Page: www.youtube.com/channel/UCI1YD-54pwPGHG4MGrYQjFw

Definitely the most bang for the buck. This new Hustle M+M is so good for your typical house shot. Haven’t thrown a game below 219 with it yet. Definitely a must-have in the bag for me.
