foreign [Music] [Music] motiv Nation Nick Parr here with you today in Grand Rapids Michigan at Spectrum Lanes and today I'm introducing
the new Pride Dynasty I'm looking forward to getting this on the lanes and reviewing it it's going to be a really good versatile asym ball it's still got the Dominion core from The Pride line we've actually wrapped it around a leverage MFS solid cover so this is the same one that's on the Black Venom we actually keep it at 2000 so it's a little duller and it's going to be a little bit stronger overall compared to the Black Venom but I will compare those two today and I'll just show you how versatile this is for a little bit more oil compared to the black metal so with this Dominion core found in the pride Dynasty I'm really excited to be able to
manipulate my hand in order to either hook it if I need to get into more oil or I can kind of trap it up against the Cliff of where like the oil and the dry are and really just get long and nice and just let the core take over and Tumble that's one really good thing about this lower intermediate asymmetric it's a really versatile ball for medium oil that I'm really excited to use all right so as usual this is my tester layout
this is uh 55 by five and a half by 35 this one's going to be a little bit more in the mid lane for me it's going to stand up but again I'm able to get closer to the friction if need be as long as I'm really nice with my hand and just kind of rolling it into the spot rather than really flicking at it and trying to see it shape down Lane and the second part Dynasty you're going to see me throw is actually my favorite of the two just because I like a little bit weaker pin to Pap on these stronger asymmetric balls so it's going to be a little bit cleaner in the mid lane and much rounder more continuous shape down Lane compared to the pinup one and this
is 45 by five and three quarters by 65. so comparing the pride Dynasty and the black venom they actually do have the same cover the black bottom is going to allow me to stay closer to the friction and have a nice easier spot to get it to down lane and then you'll see it come off the lane whereas the pride is going to be a little bit more in the mid lane it's going to pick up and kind of force me into more of the oil which is great complementing each other honestly comparing the new Dynasty to the original Pride you'll actually see that the original product is actually much cleaner it gets down Lane as easy maybe not as easy as say a black venom the
Dynasty is a little bit sooner maybe three four feet sooner it's just going to make a stronger earlier motion compared to the original Pride [Music] foreign [Music] [Applause] [Music]
Performance Analysis
Performance Analysis
Testing revealed the Motiv Pride Dynasty performs as a versatile mid-lane performer well-suited to medium-heavy oil conditions. On the test pattern at Spectrum Lanes, independent reviewers observed that the ball’s Dominion asymmetric core paired with the Leverage MFS solid coverstock (kept at 2000 grit) produced noticeably earlier hook and stronger overall motion compared to the Black Venom, despite sharing the same cover material. The dull surface finish contributes to more mid-lane aggression, making the ball responsive to hand manipulation—reviewers could either increase hook when needed in heavier oil or control the shape by rolling it smoothly into the dry boards rather than forcing it down lane. Two layout options were tested: a 55x5.5x35 layout provided slightly more midlane stand-up, while a 45x5.75x65 layout delivered cleaner midlane read with a rounder, more continuous arc into the backend.
When compared directly to its predecessor, the original Pride, testing showed the Dynasty initiates its motion approximately three to four boards earlier down lane, making it the stronger ball of the two. This earlier, more forceful motion distinguishes it from the Black Venom as well, which allows bowlers to stay closer to the friction line; the Dynasty naturally migrates into slightly more oil, requiring a more controlled hand action to avoid overdriving the lanes. Reviewers noted this versatility is one of the ball’s key strengths—the intermediate asymmetric core design allows bowlers to manipulate their release to either maximize or manage the ball’s inherent strength, making it adaptable within its medium-heavy oil window.
Who Is This Ball For?
The Pride Dynasty is designed for bowlers who throw in medium to medium-heavy oil conditions and want a single asymmetric ball that can handle multiple angles and release styles. Bowlers comfortable with stronger asymmetric cores and who prefer earlier, more aggressive midlane motion will find this ball responsive and rewarding. It’s particularly suited to players who like to manipulate their hand action to shape shots—those who can dial back the force on their throw to control the ball’s natural strength will unlock its full versatility, while bowlers who need to stay closer to the dry boards may find the Black Venom a better companion piece.
This ball works well for intermediate to advanced players seeking one workhorse asymmetric that won’t require constant layout changes as oil patterns evolve. If you already throw the original Pride and are looking for a stronger option without committing to a completely different ball line, the Dynasty delivers that added aggression with similar core dynamics. However, bowlers in lighter oil conditions or those preferring continuous, arcing motion over early hook should explore options with smoother coverstock finishes.
The Pros
- • Dominion Asymmetric core with .010 mass bias adds track flare and hitting power beyond a standard symmetric
- • Leverage Reactive solid at 2000 grit reads the midlane early and produces a strong continuous arc to the pocket
- • Excellent pin carry from the rolling entry angle — the ball drives through the deck rather than deflecting
- • Pairs naturally with the Pride Liberty hybrid for a complete Pride-line two-ball attack
The Cons
- • Solid coverstock at 2000 grit will be too aggressive on lighter oil conditions
- • Moderate .042 differential may leave power players wanting more on the heaviest oil

I can stay behind it and watch the ball roll forward or I can come around it and really open up the lane. If the Pride Dynasty gets close to the pocket, it creates a vortex and pulls everything to the pit. For me the Pride Dynasty will be by my side every time I walk in the alley to bowl.
I really like the way the ball handles down lane and hits pretty good on the backend

I had to change the surface for my THS but will be taking it back down to stock for tournaments

The new Pride Dynasty is is the perfect Medium Oil Solid for anyone's bag! This piece has shown so much versatility in how I can play the lanes with it. Straighter angles for when the pattern is hard, Medium angles for when the lanes are a bit more open like a house shot, and even from deep when there's a decent amount of oil on the lane but you can't give away the pocket, the Dynasty is able to dig in and create a predictable smooth shape to give you a great read on any pattern. Definitely a piece that will fit all different player styles! MOTIV Staff
This one really surprised me in a big way! A medium core with a strong cover stock has proved to be a tremendous option for out of bag game one and versatile enough to fight through the transition of standard league shots! If you are looking for a strong piece with the smooth backend (especially as a ball away option from a Jackal/Forge) look no further!
