there she goes there she goes get rid of business got no regrets I'm on the run chasing the check dropping the top riding the vet feeling myself what you expect you know I'm with it no better feeling cuz I could quit but I didn't when I'm on a mission moving it up to a better position what's going on YouTube World Charles hudon here and today you saw the thumbnail but I just got to pick this thing up this is this is bright like and it it's like a two-tone pink like a little darker or maybe it's just
phased I don't know but it looks good and I hope it rolls some type of good it just it looks as good it has to roll good so you've kind of probably seen one or two reviews but we going to get this one a shot um of course we're going to compare to everything else that you saw on the screen uh yeah so the Black Venom uh the original OG Venom shock and getting the blue coral so the Venom shock is the only one that has the same core the other two have a different core they're slightly asymmetric um yeah the black
venom has saved me a ton of times that ball is really really good I don't know how often it's been used on the PBA tour this season but I know of course the Venom shock is been used by every motor sapper uh but yeah so we're going to check them out and today man we going to do a giveaway uh the lovely people over at CB gripper they have a lot of colors now pink orange green red navy blue and even more uh but we're going to give away five today and these will be shipped right to you uh so yeah how many
strikes happen during the game uh so of course we got to get there uh but and we are going to do a full game with the pink venom but we're going to start off just getting a field for the pink one then we'll go through the zones with each one of the balls and kind of see how they differ so yeah let's get to it let's get to it all right so I've thrown one game with the DVA hater um I think this is still going to go pretty long so I'mma stand on 20 and
hope for the best that was pretty quick that was pretty quick yeah so this ball is super pink I expect to get dirty but because it's a pearl it might hold up a little bit better but on 20 that that just
hooked okay I'm going to throw it to the right I got to do that cuz that is responding and if you're wondering what my layout is it is my pin over my ring finger which ends up being a 60 by 4 and 1/2 by 30 if you are [Applause] curious all right don't to cheat a little bit left and see if I can open my angles up oh way out there
buddy my man yell right in my back swing I have to be better but we'll keep going all right so let me just go ahead and get on this bad [Music] boy there's the carry so I still have plenty of room uh just got to again still get it there I'm going get it
there opening my shoulders so I'm going to put these on the lane but this looking a little bit stronger than the ruby in my opinion it's it is giving me that it's a little bit earlier but still again similar motion let's go a little Venom shock
action [Music] little smoother I'mma jump a little further right with that one and let that one do what it do let it do what it do so definitely again it's a little roler a little heavier um what are you
talking not as responsive which makes sense so yep yeah buddy all right let's jump back to 20 25 I'm sorry uh with the shock let pick up the pink one yeah so just got a little bit slower give the ball a chance to get up the hill we going to throw the pink one from right there and see what we
get all right 25 Jesus that is sharp sharp sharp sharp all right just for Giggles I want to see what this does from Deep got around pretty good oh wow no this doesn't want me to slow down
at all like this is like no pile on Push It Forward get this off your hand do your best EJ taging impression the ball I haven't tried the blue coral and I've seen it out there a couple times now so I'm actually curious on 20 what is this one [Applause] doing
definitely a little heavier closer to the shock so not as responsive but they got there I like that like another option to control again front to back tougher patterns I'm liking that just like the first shot so I get to a tumble I saw it really get into a tumbled there I'm going jump further right and you're going to lose the power pick up
okay let me go ahead and let it roll off my fingers a little bit more see if we can't get to the pocket we going to pick up the Venom the pink hyper venom don't hook a lot oh wow it's got so forward I need just a little bit more axis rotation to get to stand up but we going pick up the hyper venor from right
there all right standing on 15 it's a little bit more energy down Lane so I think that's where some straighter players can run into issues that if you like oh the fronts are hooking too much or the lane is hooking too much and you ball down and you're not speed dominant some of these cleaner balls are actually more responsive to the friction so they're going to break
and get off line faster so go instead of going to the balls like this you might go to a black venom or you might go to the blue coral cuz that's going to slow down and it's just on you to again get your speed matched up a little more correctly but as you saw that pink one looked a lot stronger and I feel like there's a little more oil out here so just stuff to keep in mind all right we're going to jump to the Black Venom from right here as well since we're here getting
comfortable so not the same amount of injury [Music] retention throw one more and pick up the hyper venom again nice smooth predictable it's really what that black venom is if you need that you know benchmark but some of the bigger
symmetrics are too much or too slow feel like the mvy tours of the World Tour Dynamics and this really really work in that spot for us especially the you know more rev match or speed or rev dominant Bowlers we going to migrate to 20 this is my happy place but based on my ball reaction I can't put the same amount of hand in the
ball I did it oh a little more than that a little more than that so this one of those classic cases where it's like the ball's too
responsive to play here um with my regular hand and I really have to do something very specific to get the ball to the pocket which more than likely would be killing the hand and staying really slow to get this ball opportunity to get up the corner I don't know if we want to do that I think this is B going to PE that gr from right here um I think the other options just work all right so from 20 the Venom
shock is going to look good give me the other two going to look pretty all right too so get blue coral from right here should be okay again those balls just want to go forward more where that hyper
venom go that way very quick all right throw the blue cor one more time make sure that wasn't a fluke got rounded too oo I see why Aj Johnson be just ha this ball cuz it just it like reads it and sits that's what you want to see a lot of that tough stuff not going to
lie all right just just forget go throw this one more time from [Music] 20 this doesn't quite look as good I throw a little fast got behind the head in cleaner cover wants to respond but yeah just doesn't match up from that particular Zone that well all right same thing black venom
from 20 [Music] yeah black venom definitely seems like kind of the cleanest or the coral I just maybe might be might be the colors uh that might have it tumbling like that's give me the uh visualization that it might be hooking more but that's my my feeling so far with it all right big left left
25 break loose get left throw it right that's what this ball wants to do you know again if you in that rivr crowd yeah this is going to be another ball you can use on them higher friction situations where it just forces you that way quickly some of your bigger ball start to pause B bone ball start to lock up
this won't um this is going to continue going through the pin I like it all right like it and we'll throw one more with the blue coral iow it as cuz you seen the other ones from here with the blue coral we haven't yeah just a little more deflection out of that bigger core that I'm saying but yeah let's get into this full game with the hyper pink venom or
Venom hyper hyper venom yall know what I mean all right on to the fun on to the fun all right full gamey games
oh I got dead around this oh wow man bloody bloody seven in but quickly before we get deep into this game and I'm probably going to not commentate as much uh but yeah this is definitely the cleanest because of this cover stock um but the earliest definitely feels like the blue coral Venom and then a little bit clean cleaner is a black venom and then of course the Venom shock right under that as being just a you know again that's is my
progression that that's it literally no more talking let's pick up this seven pin oh that might not I was a little concerned I missed that one thought I was all right it's time to go sheep think uh a little pad probably will help blend my reaction but I threw that last one bad like trash
bags that's a little forward soon as I said it happened it happens making spares out here son making
spares there she goes through one good all right let's see if we throw a couple more and it's crazy this ball ain't got that dirty yet I wasting this to get a little dirtier than that I'm going try to plant some stick some of these shots post them oh that was pure oh trip four buddy trip
four oh let me post let me post another shot that felt good that felt good and it looked good people ask me about my speed that's about 15 miles per hour that particular shot so typically when I'm swinging a whole Lane I'm going to be around at 15 even low 14 sometime depending on what the Lane's asking me to do but when I'm straighter I definitely can get into that high 15 High 16 even 17 miles per hour
sometimes but right now standing on 20 getting looking to get this you know out there six [Music] so I caught all of it and it reflected it
reflected yikes this ball is hooking this ball is hooking EJ tack it hya just hit it with all of it all you got it likes
it oh go so I have that look with that ball just keep giving it to business it's working out pretty
good [Applause] there she goes there she goes get herid of business give rid of business
the long way the long way buddy oh that might overhook oh like somebody said in the comments good old house shot good old house shot thank you oh EJ tack it oh
no oh no ah thought I was going to be able to get that but that's a great place to leave it 235 it probably ball probably could do for again a little little service adjustment to help me get through that but all on not bad at all so hyper P Venom check them out walmart.com us the links below uh here in South Florida get over to B pro shop and tamarak uh bolo Tamar shout out to the staff here appreciate
you guys on to the next one guys it up forming a plan a buying no chain till I buy me some land making a way to buy my estate boat on the lake plus one in the bay what can I say I want it all can I be
Performance Analysis
Performance Analysis
Testing revealed the Motiv Hyper Venom to be notably responsive compared to its counterparts in the Venom line. On medium oil house conditions, independent reviewers observed the ball displayed earlier hook and stronger overall motion than the Black Venom and Blue Coral variants, despite sharing the same symmetric core as the original Venom Shock. The reactive pearl coverstock proved cleaner through the front of the lane, allowing the ball to read friction quickly and transition decisively into the backend. When tested from the 20-25 board range on a standard house pattern, the ball’s aggressive motion characteristics required precise speed and axis rotation control; testers noted that bowlers without sufficient revs or speed could see the ball break too early and lose line.
Comparative testing showed the Hyper Venom occupied a middle ground in the Venom family progression. It tracked slightly earlier than the Black Venom—a more predictable, benchmark-style option—but remained cleaner through the oil than the Venom Shock, giving it versatility for bowlers seeking responsive motion without the heaviest hook potential. When positioned from deeper angles on the approach, the pearl cover’s sensitivity to friction became advantageous; the ball read the lane aggressively and drove through the pins effectively. However, testing also identified a potential limitation: from tighter angles and drier backends, the ball’s responsiveness could create carry-down concerns, requiring surface adjustments or a switch to a heavier-reading option like the Blue Coral for controlled front-end motion.
A full-game test on house oil showed the Hyper Venom delivering consistent strikes with the coverstock maintaining its clean appearance despite extended play, suggesting good durability for the price point. The ball proved most effective when bowlers matched appropriate speed and rev rates to its aggressive design, delivering the kind of predictable backend read that suits modern lane conditions without requiring extensive surface prep.
Who Is This Ball For?
The Motiv Hyper Venom is best suited for intermediate to advanced bowlers who throw moderate to high revolutions and prefer a responsive, pearl-cover ball that reads the lanes quickly. It’s an excellent choice for bowlers moving up from entry-level equipment who want noticeably more hook and control than a solid reactive option provides, but who may not yet need the extreme response of asymmetric cores. The $147.95 price point makes it accessible for league bowlers looking to add a second or third reactive option to their bag without the premium cost of higher-end equipment.
This ball is less ideal for lower-rev bowlers or those with slower ball speeds, as the reactive pearl’s sensitivity to friction can cause early hook and loss of striking accuracy if speed isn’t matched correctly. Similarly, bowlers who struggle with front-end friction or who regularly bowl on very oily lanes may find it too responsive without aggressive surface adjustments. For those players, the Black Venom or Blue Coral variants in the line would provide more controllable motion.
The Pros
- • Propulsion MXR Pearl provides exceptional length
- • 5500 grit finish = maximum skid through the fronts
- • Same reliable Gear core as the Venom Shock
The Cons
- • Can skid too far on dry conditions
- • Pearl coverstock less versatile than hybrid/solid

Good break ball once lanes have broken down some. Gonna use the Venom Shock till oil dries up. Good ball for light oil patterns

First motiv ball and my favorite ball I’ve ever owned. Crazy backend reaction.

I absolutely love this ball!! Motiv knows how to keep things fresh. I wanted the Fatal Venom but got on the search too late. I finally waited on this release and it could not be better purchase. I religiously only use Motiv balls and this is my sleeper ball. I have it as an aggressive backend ball and it attacks the pocket like the pocket stole something. You’re getting a lot with this ball for price but I am also considering getting a second one to drill as a middle point between my EXJ VIP. They compliment each other well during use but just LOVE this ball.

It’s a great ball to throw after the Venom Shock. The only negative I have is, it feels heavy. It’s drill the same as my other Venom balls and is the same weight. But, it does exactly what I want it to do.
