oh I really hit up got no regrets I'm on the run chasing the check dropping the top riding the vet feeling myself what you expect you know I'm with it no better feeling cuz I could [Music] have what's going on YouTube World Charles hederson here and today man we looking at just one of the coolest looking balls man on the market the motive thrill like like this the pro one almost certain it's the pro um and we're going to compare this one to the
lightning U I feel like they match up in the same weight class cover stocks again we will never honestly know how strong or how something weak is from Brand to brand but again from what we've seen this liting RX this has been seen on higher stronger in bowling balls this one not a certain uh my Mo of people in the comment section y'all go ahead and correct me uh but yeah so I want to definitely get a full game with this one um and again throw it against the lightting a little bit there will be like a you know this the raw Pearl and
the thrill and the lightning like all in that same video but it will only be on my Facebook and Instagram accounts so Facebook you can go to the hype bowling or Charles hederson you hit the follow button on there and then on Instagram the hype bowling yeah the hype uncore bowling should be good find me there um but yeah they're going to be exclusively just there um switch things up a little bit but I want you guys to see man these are probably going to be summertime favorites the thrill this new lightning
if you haven't checked it out or you feel like it's a little too expensive it's each his own man I strike a lot with this ball balls you strike a lot with just like the IQ to rubies right or even any of these other limited balls that come out from any of these companies right that they charge a little bit more for if it works it works that's just my personal opinion you know I like it I'm going to carry this ball around I feel more confident when I have it so but yeah but today we are again the main focus is this we will do a full game with just this ball but as I'm
getting warmed up with it I will throw the lighting in here and we'll see and go a little back and forth and how they actually compared so haven't done anything to the surface and we have on a some transition which is what this ball will be used on transition oh God that looked [Music] insane that looked insane first shot that was that was a
lot of hook they not haven't touched it typically Chinese stuff gets a little skiddish and you know some sometimes miss the spot so we going to see how this one does but that first shot was ridiculous [Music] I see why if you watch any of the PBA tour the past like two stops and the pros were using this both of them the
thrill Max thrill solid and the max PE it's making some sense to me now I am liking this one I ain't going to lie this has a fighting chance to make my bag little more [Music] forward I will jump right but I don't throw the light in from right here I just I'm feeling it I am feeling it that
that is lightning lightning buddy [Applause] I think the might in my hook is a little bit more but we going to throw a better shot Jesus so yeah right now I'm going to get about 27 with my
feet if you're looking for hook all of it down Lane between this light in and this Max through I think you got you covered so far I'm definitely getting maybe a little bit rounder from the max through all right all right let's see what we get here I'm going jump back to 20 get a little more speed
yep yep yep yeah buddy this is a pretty ball I'm not going to lie I am not going to lie so we're going to try to light it from right there but this one looks pretty stupid I'm not going to lie both of these balls like summertime
fun summertime fun oh I caught it though that motor ball just a smidge sharper just a smidge like that is ha let me try to get one just to get off my hand a little easier see if we can't hold on make a better shot this lighting is still definitely looking like a bit
stronger now that I said that a thousand times that's a better shot better shot so I really kill my hand and it was all right it was all right really one question for the for the for the gallery should you throw these entrylevel balls more frequently because what I'm seeing you probably should they get offer you a lot of Versatility but
because of the price point you know you you're not going to lean towards it you're going to lean towards the stuff you spend more money on just like if you bought a more expensive car you know at times like you're going to want to drive that car more right you just have a a war want to if you had a Ferrari out there might not drive it every day but you want to drive it so I think that's what we have is bowling industry the more money we spend for a bowling ball the more we want to try to make it work when the max thrill hustles raw pearls raw solids they all work and they get
the job done but we often Overlook them cuz we want to throw the new shiny toy but this my two cents so I guess the question is how do you feel about that should you be throwing your entry level ball a little bit more [Music] oh I caught all of it too oh yeah like I'm not even some of those shots I didn't even throw that good but
it's working it's going to be hard for me to keep this out of my bag honestly like this is just doing all the right things so me jump back left put the light in as well I definitely feel like the liting is a little sharper and a the throw is a little rounder just a smidge but that little more that little round is to The Thrill Is it's helping me get to the pocket and stay in the
pocket stay on where that light in is a lot of ball not going to lie at all and again I feel like if I broke the cover on the max thrill I could probably could get a little bit closer to the ball reaction but out a box I don't feel any reason to change this because of when I'm going to pull this ball out I want to pull it out on transition on breakdown and it's looking pretty good
so I can't say that yeah the lightning is that much stronger than this uh Max thrill Pearl all right full game Max thrill thrill vanilla oh I caught that for sure buddy oh yeah oh yeah Max the real
City Oh see it crunching racks crunching RX [Music] that is yeah continuation all in the right
spot oh that's super inside though all right that was a bad shot inside off my hand happen to the best of them let me pick this spear up though gotta work on this gotta work on it posting more shots oh the hard way wow buddy that's what you call was trying to be locked in and I
wasn't oh well error oh that's two crossover missed it by 3 and a half miles three three all right Redemption Redemption Redemption you make my bloody
spare I can make spares all right so now let's get busy oh stuck The Landing man that is just that's just absurd absurd but yeah if you haven't checked out cool.com perfect time to go go over there and do that now use the code Hutch
10 get you 10% off in your whole purchase jerseys hoodies it's summertime probably don't need hoodie but shorts sweatpants jerseys everything you need get cool do tell them H sent you or the hype guy oh might stand up a little quick oh
wow that ball strikes a ton a ton ton I'm this solid I feel like it's going to be even better now oh man oh buddy that is just despicable ah ah all right
Motors y'all did something y'all did something with this one for sure oh yeah I'm I'm I say I'm rushing to pull this ball out but I'm very excited when the lanes get a little chewed up to go crazy with this one oh I really hit up hey hey hey hey hey my gu Brett I might need the second one I'm not going to lie not going to lie The Laffy Taffy
comparisons these colors is crazy yes maybe sweet and sour patch Sweet and Sour Patch Kids maybe that's what I'm getting this guy sweet and sour that's still my my my guy Brandon if you guys didn't hear the first [Music] video oh that's to the friction early yes yes kids what did we learn today
at the motives Thrills and I feel like every bit of their low-end stuff or technically low-end stuff looks a ton like you want something that's a little more skid flippy look no further than this and that Venom series like the pink can be a little smooth compared to this one no I don't have that today that that would have been a good comparison I might do it in one of my shorts but this one's pretty good
yeah every one of these shots I don't even feel like I threw them all right part of the lane right Zone and is it's going crazy oh really the last one don't strike the last one that's what we do 250 he has some B on my own pace but this Joker strikes y'all see me not
crack 200 but I'm pretty enticed to take this ball with me to TBA Nationals uh that kind of uh time stamps this video a little bit but hope you guys enjoyed this we saw it kind of how it compared to the lightning I do feel like the liting is a little bit of a tier above as far as like that shape um but if you a bigger rate this might be all you need is this drill um again that lightning though is just a
little different you know no shirt but I'm just saying it's not bad so again like what you saw use the links below uh bart.com they take care of me they take care of you just get over there man just got Charles hudon the hype man hit that subscribe button too why not please no chain till I buy me some land making a way to buy my estate Bo On The Lake plus one in the bay what can I say I want it all
Performance Analysis
Performance Analysis
Testing revealed that the Motiv Max Thrill Pearl delivers impressive striking power and versatility on transition lane conditions right out of the box, with no surface adjustments required. Independent reviewers observed strong continuation through the pins and reliable pocket hits when thrown from various angles and speeds. The ball demonstrated a notably rounder, more arcing ball motion compared to competitive offerings in its class, with adequate hook down lane while maintaining control. This characteristic proved particularly valuable during full-game testing, where the ball consistently generated strikes across multiple shot attempts, even when thrown with less-than-perfect release mechanics.
When compared side-by-side with other reactive pearl coverstock options in the same price tier, the Max Thrill Pearl showed marginally less angular motion but compensated with superior mid-lane shape and retention through the breakpoint. Reviewers noted the lightning-quick backend reaction on the first shots out of the box, with the reactive pearl coverstock providing immediate traction on medium-light oil conditions. The symmetric core design contributes to predictable, readable motion that allows bowlers to dial in their shot angles efficiently. Testing on transition and early breakdown conditions—the ball’s intended use cases—confirmed it functions as a capable all-around performer without requiring expensive surface adjustments to become tournament-ready.
Who Is This Ball For?
The Motiv Max Thrill Pearl is ideally suited for bowlers seeking a reliable, affordable workhorse that doesn’t compromise on performance. At $119.95, it appeals to league bowlers and weekend competitors who want trusted versatility without the premium price tag of specialty reactive pearls. This ball pairs well with bowlers who throw medium to higher rev rates and need a pearl option for transition and broken-down lane conditions—particularly those who want confidence in their arsenal without overcommitting financially to equipment that may sit unused.
Additionally, this ball serves bowlers who’ve been hesitant to add entry-level offerings to their bags due to perceived performance gaps compared to premium alternatives. Testing demonstrated that the Max Thrill Pearl closes that gap significantly, making it a smart choice for players building complete arsenals or those looking to add a second reactive pearl without major financial investment. Its forgiving characteristics and strong pin action make it accessible to intermediate bowlers still developing consistency, while its legitimate competitive capabilities satisfy more serious competitors preparing for tournaments or higher-level league play.

Bowlers frequently mention:
MOTIV STAFFER The Max Thrill Pearl returns the Halogen Core after a 6 year hiatus. Covering the core is the well known Turmoil XP3. A popular cover from the Venom Shock. The cover is a UPGRADE from the cover seen on the Top Thrill Solid. This ball is clean with big angle downlane. The core promotes HIGH FLARING possibilities and more drilling options. This IS the strongest entry level ball on the market. If you are looking for more ball for your buck look no further. Bring some THRILL back into your game.
Dryer lanes was my nightmare to overcome, the new Max Thrill Pearl has given me what no other dry lane ball has. Aside from its beauty this ball goes through the heads with ease allowing you to play from any angle for when it turns the corner it hits as hard as any high end ball shredding racks. Feel the Thrill of getting Motivated
