hey guys it's steo Johnson here from motive bowling and real experience Ball Reviews and today we're bringing you the allnew Supra [Music] GT so I went with a 50x 5x 40 layout I'm kind of rev dominant as a two-handed player I can see myself using the uh Supra GT when the lanes start to open up right when the for Venom is a little bit
too much and I still need something that's a little bit cleaner for the fronts it gives me that ultimate angularity on the back end compared to the super rally of course we got to keep in mind it does have the same exact core but again the Super GT is going to be a little bit more angular the rally is not going to be able to handle as much oil so if I'm looking for something that has a little bit more power overall I'm going to switch to that Super GT to give me that nice defin shape on the back end so if you're a two-handed player guys and you want a ball that you can get left and you can throw it right and you can trust it 100% the Super GT is going to be the
ball for [Music] [Music] [Music] you oh
Performance Analysis
Performance Analysis
Testing revealed the Motiv Supra GT functions as a bridge piece for players transitioning into medium-light oil conditions. Independent reviewers observed that the reactive pearl coverstock delivers notable angular motion on the backend, particularly when compared to similarly-cored symmetric counterparts. The ball’s defining characteristic emerged on the test pattern: it produces a cleaner, more controlled front-end read than heavier oil-fighting pieces, while maintaining enough backend reaction to create a defined shape downlane. Notably, testers found the Supra GT positioned itself between entry-level and heavy-volume equipment, making the backend motion pronounced without becoming overly aggressive for the medium-light condition it targets.
The symmetric core construction paired with the pearl reactive coverstock created predictable, repeatable motion that independent reviewers could confidently throw from both traditional and non-traditional release angles. Testing showed the ball handles lane transitions well, with the pearl coverstock providing enough traction in the oil while the core geometry maintains controlled angular movement. Reviewers noted this balance makes it a versatile option for bowlers who need a piece they can trust across multiple angles and shot selections without excessive surface adjustments—though the pearl reactive does respond to reconditioning as lanes evolve throughout a session.
Who Is This Ball For?
The Motiv Supra GT is purpose-built for bowlers who’ve outgrown entry-level reactive equipment and are looking for their first piece with genuine backend motion. Two-handed players and conventional bowlers alike will appreciate the controlled angularity and predictable shape; it’s forgiving enough for developing players while offering the performance depth that intermediate bowlers demand. At $169.95, it represents an accessible entry point into mid-tier equipment without sacrificing reliable motion characteristics.
This ball also serves experienced bowlers managing medium-light oil conditions who need a secondary or transition piece for when their primary heavy-oil equipment becomes too much ball. If you bowl regularly in house shots or recreational leagues with moderate lane oil, or if you’re a versatile player who throws from multiple angles and wants a ball you can trust in a wider range of conditions, the Supra GT merits consideration. It’s best suited for bowlers who prioritize consistency and predictability over extreme backend reaction.
The Pros
- • Quadfire core at 2.57 RG pushes deep downlane before engaging — excellent length for dry-to-medium conditions
- • Pearl coverstock at 5500 grit is clean through the heads and provides a controllable backend move
- • Affordable at $169.95 — strong value for a mid-performance piece with versatile motion
- • Works well for both one-handed and two-handed bowlers as shown in Motiv's ball motion videos
The Cons
- • Lower differential and high RG limit effectiveness on anything heavier than medium oil
- • Conservative ball motion will not produce the big angular shapes power players expect

The Supra GT is the newest ball in the Motiv Line. Sitting on the chart in the lower right spot suggests that this ball will be best on high friction, low volume conditions. Balls in this spot are clean throught the mids with good motion downlane. The Supra GT sees the mids just enough to give is a different type of motion. The Supra GT has just the right amount of grit in the cover to slow down and give you that smooth, predictable motion downlane to control the pocket even when the lanes begin to transition. So dont double guess your move when the TRACK, no pun intended, gets crazy, grab the Supra GT and be the first to cross the finish line.
I always had to be a little careful with previous Supra pieces, as their incredibly clean motion through the fronts made them very speed sensitive for me. It was easy to miss the spot if I got a little fast. This is no longer an issue. The upgrade in cover stock on the Supra GT gives the ball just a touch more traction, allowing me to throw at speed with confidence that I will still get that wonderfully clean motion and not sacrifice the fast response down lane. I got to test out the ball on a beat-up Scorpion shot and was pleasantly surprised how many different lines I could take to the pocket and strike convincingly. With my ball speed and rev rate, I usually get trapped playing a little closer to the friction with the cleaner pieces, but the Supra GT had enough in the tank to strike from anywhere on the lanes. Absolutely love the look of this one, and the motion on the lanes is premium. Going in the tournament bag as my go to light oil/burn ball for sure.
Great ball for dry lanes and it sure does look pretty as well! My speed is avg 17mph and it hooks right where I want it...The Pocket. Scored some of my highest games with this ball.
Supra GT Ball Review The Supra GT is the newest ball added to a fan favorite Supra line. It has the Propulsion XRT Pearl Reactive cover that thrives on light oil and brings back the popular Quadfire V2 core. The Supra GT creates a fast down lane motion and is great in transition when the lanes start to break down. Designed for light-medium oil conditions, the Supra GT is going to be a piece to add for anyone looking for the lighter oil ball. This piece is great when the Venom balls are a touch too early and you need something to still clear the front without going all the way to a Thrill.
