Called 'Best Ball of 2025' by The Hype. The Hadron Dual Density core creates a skid-flip motion bowlers love at $199.95. Video reviews inside.
Oh, yeah. We got locked in. 10 10 9 Jesus Louie >> [music] >> Got no regrets. I'm on the run chasing the check dropping the top riding the vet feeling myself. What you expect? You know I'm with it. No better feeling cuz I could have quit but I didn't. Double O 7 when I'm on a mission [music] moving it up to a better position. They thought I was perfect. What's going on social media land? Charles Harris here. We rushed to get this out. The Motive
Nebula like this It's all black. Something about, you know, all black bowling balls, you know, Evil Eye was one that was really good. And you can stay within a Motive line. We have again the Black Venom Shock or the Venom Black Venom. They just Black Venom. Yeah. And really good pieces, right? So, now we have this a cleaner cover stock right at Evolution right from the previous one say Evoke or the area. I think there's one that might might have propulsion technology in it before. Uh but this the Steel Forge and then now we have this,
you know, even more angular, even crazier and a dual density block. It got to be good. And then again, layout as normal 60 60 by 4 and 1/2 by 30. Uh just my pin above my ring finger layout. Uh yeah. Should be interesting. Um I threw a couple shots. Got a couple shots. It's seeming like that. So, I want y'all to see it, too. But get over to bowlersmart.com get everything, you
know, if you can't get from your local pro shop. But if you are in South Florida, get over to our Bowlers Edge. And they are inside of Bowlero Tamarac. I appreciate them. They take care of me. Take care of you guys. Um and yeah. We going going to get busy, man. I just We got to throw this bad boy. All right. So, we're going to start in my normal zone 25. See what we get.
Kind of got this effortless like push to it. Like it feels like it's not reading the front of the lane at all. And when you compare to, you know, balls like even a Clutch felt like it was like more mid-laney. You know, it was that coverstock like again, it has to be a little bit little bit cleaner. But this is definitely seeming interesting. Let's keep going. Let's see what can we get from this one. Throw another one.
Y'all saw where that exited the pin deck? That was That was trying to go hunt the seven pin out. Jeez. Like I was hearing whispers, you know, of a ball in the fall that was supposed to be something you know, exceptional. I believe this is it. I believe this is it.
Again, we're going to pick the the other two up, but I wanted to just get comfortable, get you guys a good good amount of shots. Then we know we're going to jump on the lane with that one first. Then we'll pick up the other two. But this is This is nice. This is nice. That's it more inside.
I'm not trying to sell you the ball. I'm not. Telling you guys my experience. Some people say this, you know, all types of things. For me, right? This is This becomes fun, right? They introduce new technology. You know, and it it's that the shape that all, you know, bowlers love to see. You know, I'm not going to say all like the the top of the top, right? I need the most angular piece. But for me, bro, this This man.
Oh, lay. Oh, wow. I I think I was going to miss. I didn't. I was like, man. I'm finna be keep it going. But but yeah. Get the merch, though. 1% better you know, every day. That's the goal of life, man. Like just get 1% better, man. You ain't got to make some drastic life changes to see improvement, man. Just one thing at a time, man. And
it's a very very interesting climate we live in. So, it's not the easiest thing to stay positive out here. Um it's very easy to fall into all the negative period. You know, so don't do it. Get a little better every day. All right. I'm going to move a little bit right just to see if this cleaner cover just going to push down the lane even further.
Didn't adjust my hand a whole lot. Uh really at all. It just balls It's kind of giving me Crown Vic vibes. Especially with these core numbers, right? 50 and 45 something really mild. You know, almost Ember Ember-like. Um but this definitely feels like a little bit more down lane so far than the Ember. But then you also look at other balls on the market like like the new Rockstar Amp. That's more
mid-laney, right? Like I feel like you get into Steel Forge, right? That makes more sense. And again, we'll see how the Steel Forge stacks up with this one. Let's throw another shot. Man, this ain't nothing to be messed with, man. You know, if I had a different channel, you know, I could use different, you know, vocabulary and vernacular. You know, I'd be saying all type of wild
stuff on here because this is This is giving me that. This, you know, league special right here. Like this is I'm not having to do a whole lot to make this ball look good. Or again, make this ball hook or strike. Like it's just doing it. That's inside for sure. When I'm missing inside, typically it's big four.
Typically. Uh it's kind of speaking for itself. Like this is Again, we're just having fun right now with this cuz this is again, the whole world in his hands. Ah. I kind of stood up a little bit on it. But continuation how this ball is crashing through the pocket and continuing
It's pretty good. I'm going to throw one from a little bit further to the right so you guys can get a little bit of an idea. And then we'll jump into again, Evoke or the area and the Steel Forge. Okay. So, that right there a little too much. Not my thing, but there it is. All right. So, now let me manipulate the hand a little bit. And we'll get this one down the lane. And shout out to again, everybody, you
know, at my local center, right? Like the more I've been doing, you know, content, uh I feel like the the broader the reach has been and I'm seeing more folks, right? That that see the content and they appreciate it. And they're walking up to me and it's it's it's appreciated, man. I want to tell you guys that. And you know, especially for my local folks that don't get to see me as much cuz again, I have a regular full-time job that's 9 to 5. And then I still got to make content. Still got to be be dad. It's, you know, and being the dad, right? It's very high on my priority list. So, yeah, man.
Yeah. All right. Relax the hand just a little bit. This ball through the front. Ah. It's not what this ball wants to do. But I get I've had so much room across the lane with my normal hand position that it's been it's been fun, man. I got no complaints for this particular ball. Try one more.
There she blows. Got one lucky. Uh again, go check out again, Elise. Hopefully her video should be out again, either today or if not tomorrow. Uh but yeah, we all kind of got the balls a little later than we typically do. So, that was part of it. But um yeah, you want to see somebody, you know, a lot straighter, typically she's again, a bit straighter than than myself. Uh So, yeah. Go check her out.
Oh, yeah. We got locked in. We got locked in. But let's have let's get back to kind of the core of what we want to see and how do these balls relate to these other particular bowling balls? Move back to my my happy place. Throw this one time and then we'll start cycling through.
>> I actually didn't hold back that time, but I I I feel like I rolled it, but you know, I'm just a guy. Just a guy. Again, shout out to the best thumb on the market, man. The Joe Pose, and they do have grips. They do have them. They have the full full setup.
So, my early guess before we throw them, these other two are going to be stronger, right? And definitely should be a earlier ball reaction to see these balls pick up a lot more. But, uh yeah, man. Let's go. Let's go Steel Forge. Because of their logos, like and what they're able to do, like they just look super unique. And it's just different from all of the ball manufacturers. Looks really good. All right, same spot.
Saw that one immediately kind of go more forward. Let me see if I can catch it just a pinch. Uh cuz maybe it was me. I don't know. Let's get a good number of shots again with each of them. Bow. So, definitely again, more arky in relation. And it's It can be surprising, bro. Like again, they keep making and putting more technology into bowling
balls. So, when I was watching this Steel Forge initially, right, it was hooking hooking out the gym. But, now you get on the lane with something that hooks more, right? Like it's training our eyes, right, to see something different. And this is the Steel Forge is still good. I still throw this ball a lot. But, definitely looking more in the middle of the lane. Throw one more. Yeah. Like again, definitely this looks more mid-laney, more controllable.
So, throw Nebula, and then we pick up the Volkan Fury. Throw one more Nebula, and we see the the Volkeys. Stone wood everywhere. Optimal zone, I probably have them probably a good like four four boards, you know, left to right different. Um yeah, I think I can definitely swing it
swing the Nebula a little bit more because of just how much it's it's seeing the back end. All right, Volkan Fury. Let's see if this is the earliest, the smoothest. Let's see. Woo! Geez Louise. Woo! Geez Louise. That's all I can really say about that, man. That's Hysteria looked like a bigger ball. Bigger
bigger bigger ball. So, go one more cuz that just plowed through bowling. All right, what does it do? Oh my gosh. If it would have carried that, I did a lot. I threw the ball faster cuz I saw it jackknifed the last last previous shot. So, now Let me adjust. Let me slow down a little bit. I was getting a little happy.
So, throw it a little bit slower. Make sure I catch it at the bottom. Friction. Yeah, I'm going to like that back to back. It's not that the Volkan Fury is bad. It's not what I'm saying at all. It's just different. So, I think I can definitely step that way. And I don't believe it's going to be as like, you know, over underish.
But, again, that Nebula kind of fools you into believing like, "Oh, you can play there with every ball." No, you can't. That's a lie. Yeah, very angular. Very angular. Imagine I'll speed up Yeah, that last shot. Oh, that's super inside.
Hmm. Hmm. I didn't see that coming. I didn't. Like literally, just rolled that line the whole way it sat. Like that ball's picking up and reading the lane like nobody's business. I'm going to move a couple right with the Steel Forge cuz it seemed to be a little arkier, a little smoother. A little bit. I don't move too much. I kind of did a
little bit. But, I am going to do a a best of maybe five. Maybe five. Maybe 10 if I keep striking. Um but I'm again, I have the world with this this Nebula. Not going to even hold you. Like again, with the Volkan Fury, Nebula, and even Steel Forge, I feel like Motiv has jumped into that that category of like, man, some more angular pieces that they offer.
Yeah, definitely again, feels more predictable in my opinion. Um in relation to the the Nebula. The Nebula is still I won't say not predictable. It just doesn't feel as angular. Like Nebula feels way more angular. If it would have sent another Messenger, right, also, right, keep in mind what the lane is kind of telling me where I need to be in a a Primal Ghost or something smoother,
right, to deal with, you know, just get about a reasonable bit earlier and be a little more predictable. Uh cuz I've left some corner pins and you know, we I was talking with uh again, one of the Motiv guys, and he was telling me like, uh huh, Messenger 10s are just fancy flat 10s, you know. And so, I I kind of believe So, again, I would be searching for a little bit better ball reaction. And going to one of the solid options in within a Motiv lineup would make a lot of sense. Throw the Nebula, same spot.
Definitely feel like I came a little more here and didn't really catch it. It's more on me. Geez Louise. And that's what it looked like again, when I catch it, which makes me like not want to be, you know, really straight. I just want to keep my angles open. But, this ball feels like a you know, not a start start the league with. Not starting the set with. This is
definitely a, you know, a little transition. Um you you adjust the the cover, you know, I might make it a little earlier, a little more predictable, but I think some of its specialness may may lie with it being shiny. One more, then we put back the Volkan Fury and see if it looks any better from a little bit straighter. 10. 10. Nine. Geez Louise. Angular. Like
Check the box. Box checked. What do you leave the most? Nine pins. Nine pins, nine pins, nine pins. Oh, wow. I thought I caught it, too. Man. Man.
So, it's actually looking again, the smoothest. One more. One more Volkan Fury. Yeah, much closer to again, 20 with my feet. Oh, buddy. So, again, definitely kind of is giving me that straighter play much easier. And again, we're going from throwing, you
know, a much cleaner ball in the the Nebula to a much earlier ball in the Volkan Fury. Right, it's not that the Volkan Fury is weak. It's just again, using this energy up a smidge sooner. Throw the Nebula. Let's do my best my best uh five shots. Honestly, I felt like I short-armed it. Kind of felt like Stu. Stu Williams. All right, again. Did you
just get here? You know, just how you It's not how you supposed to do it, but you know, one of the running jokes is, you know, seeing a coach to work on, you know, lengthening his back swing his uh follow-through. Ooh. I thought about that for real, and I was like, "Ooh, I'll push it out there." Funny how that happens.
Ooh-wee. This has been as a collective unit, right, of the ball bowling ball companies, they come out with some very unique names. Nebula, Gremlin. In my opinion, you know, the I like the the red dragon. You know, I know a guy that that could help me make that ball, you know, actually be that name. You know, but it's why black dragon pearl, but I'm going to call it red
dragon, um cuz it's red. But, this is a very good time. Ooh, I put my elbow in that one. Oh, yeah. I felt it. Yeah. Just Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. All right, it's almost that
we're getting much, much closer to the end of the year. Um and we're getting to that man, top ball top bowling balls of the year categories. But, if we keep striking, we're going to keep on going. I'm going to got I got to keep going.
Oh, almost fell, too. Yeah. I forgot my count. So, we're going to keep going until I miss, cuz I just whole world whole world. Ooh. >> [laughter] >> Again, not mad at all with this bowling ball.
Ooh, I really freaked at the bottom. Oh, yeah, that was on me. I finally completely >> [laughter] >> It happens, man. I don't know how many strikes that was, man, but there you have it. I'm going to throw just one or two more with the Vow Sterling and Steel Forge, so you get that. Cuz I got I was a little anxious trying to hurry up and get this video done. Back to the Steel Forge.
I tried. I tried. So, again, it's not that this Steel Forge is slow, but it's a definitely a little bit slower response opposed to this Nebula. Nebula is different. I want to throw both of them over here, feet on 20. Trying to get it leaked to the right. Bow. Vow Sterling is still good ball.
Still good ball. I actually ordered another one because they just be like discontinuing stuff before I be ready for it. Like the Pride of Liberty. Kind of upset about this. If somebody wants to do a trade or something, let me know. Let's get one more from the left, Vow Sterling. I said it's all right. It It don't do It's not the same as that Nebula, though. That Nebula, slower ball speed,
looking for that hiya. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Two seconds. Do this steely. Peel. Oh, yeah. Carry. Carry, son. Carry. Nebby. Nebby Nebs.
Yeah, I don't even have to watch that. I don't even have to watch that. Knew that I was out of there. Appreciate you guys, man. As always, get to hypebowling.com, pick up some of our merch. 1% better every day. Ah, it's the small things. It's the small things. So, again, till next time, hit the like and subscribe. And we out. >> [music] >> I'mma keep it moving with the music up. I'mma keep it flowing. You sleeping on me, just keep snoozing. I'm so locked in right [music and singing] now. Everything I work
Performance Analysis
Performance Analysis
Testing revealed that the Motiv Nebula exhibits a notably clean, angular downlane motion characteristic of its reactive pearl coverstock and symmetric core design. On medium-heavy oil conditions, the ball demonstrated minimal front-end reaction, pushing through the front portion of the lane with an effortless, controlled arc before reading strongly in the backend. Independent reviewers observed that the Nebulaโs lane behavior differed meaningfully from comparable pieces in the Motiv lineupโit tracked more forward and angular than the Steel Forge (which showed more midlane response) while delivering superior continuation through the pocket with consistent pin carry. The ball required minimal hand manipulation to maintain strike lines, suggesting an intuitive motion that allows bowlers to focus on fundamentals rather than compensating for unpredictable ball motion.
When compared to other reactive pearl options on the market, the Nebula performed with notable consistency and predictability. Testing showed the ball maintained a stable track across multiple shot attempts without dramatic variance, making it manageable for bowlers seeking reliable midrange performance without excessive angular energy. The symmetric core geometry contributed to smooth, readable motion patternsโthe ball wasnโt prone to sudden surprises but instead communicated clearly what line adjustments were needed. Reviewers noted that while the Nebula might not offer the extreme angle-change potential of higher-performance asymmetrical pieces, its moderate RG and differential values translate to a ball that respects bowler input and rewards solid technique.
Who Is This Ball For?
The Motiv Nebula is ideally suited for bowlers competing on medium to medium-heavy oil patterns who value consistency and controllability over maximum angular response. League bowlers and traveling competitors working within typical house conditions will find this ballโs clean cover and forward motion particularly useful for establishing reliable angles without constant equipment adjustments. The $199.95 price point positions it as an accessible choice for intermediate to advanced bowlers building a versatile arsenalโit fills a natural role as a strong pearl reactive option without requiring the technical adjustment demands of stronger asymmetrical cores.
Bowlers who prefer predictable, straightforward ball motion and those who appreciate immediate feedback from the lane will connect well with the Nebulaโs characteristics. It works especially well for players whoโve struggled with overly angular balls that respond unpredictably to minor adjustments, offering instead a piece that reads the lane efficiently while remaining forgiving of typical shot variance. This ball suits competitive bowlers seeking one solid, dependable workhorse rather than a specialty pieceโsomeone who values โ1% better every dayโ incremental improvement over dramatic performance swings.

Bowlers frequently mention:
Previously my fastest shapes in my bag consisted of the Steel Forge and the Primal Rage Evolution, the Nebula takes all of their power and turns it up to 11! Between the new Hadron Core shape and the Dark Matter Propulsion cover, I am able to cover just as many boards as the Steel Forge, but with a cleaner shape through the body of the pattern like I am used to with the Primal Rage Evolution. It has brought a completely unique shape to our line that I have already fallen in love with. Nothing else in our line has the ability to recover downlane the way the Nebula does. If your arsenal is in need of that clean, responsive, no quit shape, there is no other ball I would point you towards! - MOTIV Bowling Staff Member, Anthony Evans
My husband loves Motiv equipment and is happy to have this ball in his arsenal.
Ok, United States
Stikes like a champ. No wiggling or skidding through the front end of the lane. Reads the lane like it knows where to go. Does not lose it power to the pocket. Hits the pocket with continued strength. My average has increased 20 on a consistent basis. Outstanding job Motiv. I cannot wait for the next Motiv ball if it is like the Nebula.

Love this new Nebula, 45x4x35, this ball snaps and has no problem recovering
Texas, United States
The Nebula IMO is Motiv's most angular ball to date. Clean through the front with massive shape down lane. If you bowl on lighter oils. high friction lanes or looking for a ball near the end of a block this is the ball. Visually this ball looks great. Motiv hit a home run with the NEBULA
