Review:
The Tour Dynam-X is the new ball in the HP3 line and is a nice addition to the line. This ball features the TourTrax Solid cover and the Rondure Tour Core. This core and cover combo is going to give you a controllable shape and a round reaction. The TourTrax cover is a cover that gets through the fronts but provides a read in the mids to help handle medium patterns and house shots. The Rondure Tour core is a modified Rondure core, but they lowered the diff but kept the asymmetry in the ball and provides a rounder shape compared to the old Rondure core. This ball is going to be similar to an IQ tour shape but will go through the pins better because of the asymmetry. This ball will fit into a benchmark position in your bag but also can be a ball for when the lanes start to break down with less surface or shined. If you were a fan of IQ tours with balance holes this is going to be a great replacement. Get yours 8/18 at your local Storm VIP pro shop.

The new Roto Grip Tour Dynam-x brings a brand new core and coverstock combination that is a completely new ball reaction in the Roto Grip Lineup! This is the IQ Tour for Roto Grip but potentially better?! A modified version of the Rondure Core was brought in here with half the differential as the original for a stronger front of lane move. What's also great about this ball is its control and predictability. It reminds me of a urethane ball that is all resin. This ball is going to be great for harder conditions or where control is an absolute must. For the normal typical house pattern, this ball would be best on the fresh for lanes that tend to hook a little more than typical or for the down and in player. This ball definitely favors straighter angles over opening up the lane. If you are a player looking to find a ball to be up the lane with or looking for your next sport pattern ball, than look no further.
I was able to test this ball on the Kegel Alcatraz Oil pattern which is 38ft in length with a 2:1 ratio. What I found on this ball was with my ball speed, the 2000 abralon factory surface was just a little too clean for the pattern I was bowling on. It gave me a little too much length and not enough down lane reaction. When I altered the surface to 1000 abralon, I got a much stronger footprint on the lane and it gave me more of the ball reaction I was expecting out of it. It is a ball definitely designed for the fresh as it doesn't flare a lot. At the 1000 abralon surface, I was able to throw the ball a little bit more left to right but due to its controllable nature, it didn't go through the pins as strong as I wanted. I would say this ball would be more ideal for medium to shorter oil patterns and where control is needed. All tournament bowlers should have this ball in their bag as a staple benchmark ball where urethane is too early and smooth and stronger resin balls are too much hook. This will fall right in between those two types of balls. Don't be afraid to add more surface to this ball to get a stronger overall shape.

The Roto Grip finally has a tour ball and it is a must for all serious players. For me the Tour Dynam-X is about controlling the tough medium to light oil patterns and the new Tour Trax Solid reactive cover will give you the versatility and playability needed to conquer those types of lane conditions. The Rondure core which was introduced in the Rubicon series has been modified for the tour version with the differential cut basically in half so regardless of your style this Rondure Core version will produce a constant stable motion at the point of release through the pines. I tested this ball on a 40 feet typical house pattern. As a medium to low rev player, I was able to play in the track area and down and in up the five board. This ball stands up in the midlane with a strong finish on the backend. The Tour Dynam-X is a must have for tournament bowlers. Now available for preorder at your local pro shop! My ball reviews are posted on YouTube channel Stanley Waite.

The Tour Dynam-X features a modified version of the Rubicon core and is wrapped in Tour Trax solid. The Dynam-X core is low RG, low differential and mildly asymmetric. The cover is a slightly modified version of what you would find on the Hustle line. These combine well together to give you a ball that produces a similar amount of overall traction to an !Q Tour but allows for infinite more drilling options. This is especially helpful for the no thumb players when choosing a layout. Be sure to get into your local Storm VIP Pro Shop and pre order your own for the 08/18/23 release!

The Tour Dynam-x is Roto Grip's next installment in their HP3 line. This piece, like the Rubicon is unique because it is an asymmetric ball in a lower line. This ball for me, is the definition to a beefed up IQ Tour Solid. While it is a tad stronger overall, it shows that same controllable motion off during the entirety of it's path. It is a true middle of the bag ball that will keep you in the zone on most patterns, and tends to be the first ball out of the bag. I could see this ball being very versatile and is definitely recommended for the majority of bowlers, because it is a ball reaction almost no one could pass up. The ultimate sport pattern ball has been unleased onto the bowling world. If you liked your iQ Tour, you will LOVE the Tour Dynam-X. After debuting the ball at Bowl Expo – the buzz started right there, and the buzz has not died down at all. This is the lowest RG and DIFF ball that Roto Grip ever made! So, when I received mine, I instantly had it drilled with a very proven layout I used years ago when I rolled the ball better, and with recent changes in my health and game, I thought it would be best to see if I could re-create that magic from 4 years ago. The TD-X, my new nickname for this ball, worked amazing well on 43ft and 39ft sport patterns that were fresh and then after it was beat up by league bowlers and practice, I hoped back on the lanes and saw the same pin carry and sharpness in the backend when entering the pocket with just small adjustments on the starting point of the approaches and small adjustments getting the ball between the 2 tracer boards down lane. On a fresh medium to heavy house pattern, I was able to stand 18-20 and put the TD-X right up between the tracer boards and was striking like crazy. Was able to get left even more as the pattern conditioner pushed up between the tracer boards and moved to the dry part of the pattern, the TD-X did not hook up early which like solid reactive would normally do, like my Hyped Solid, Zen Master, and Electrify Solid, and held its own and I gain a ton more confidence the more I rolled the TD-X.
For bowlers that are looking to update or replace their main piece in their bag, or if you want to add to your current arsenal to bowl on some tougher patterns, the Tour Dynam-X is the ball for you.

Roto Grip has added a Tour piece to the HP3 Line. By modifying the Rondure core that was featured in the Rubicon series and pairing it with the new Tourtrax cover, they've created a ball unique to the brand, and to the market. The mild asymmetry of the Rondure Tour core creates a motion dynamic that is unique even from other Tour balls like the !Q Tour series.
I tested the Tour DynamX on the house pattern in my home center. We have a longer, heavier house pattern but very cliffed. I found the Tour DynamX most useful when I got very close to the friction, but still loaded up on the ball a bit. It was very Urethane-esque, where it wanted to read early and layoff down-lane. This pattern is not where I would choose to throw a ball like that normally because of how tight they are down-lane. However the higher ratio of this pattern made so that I could jam the ball into the friction early enough and create angle and actually took a little of the over-under away.
I also threw the Tour DynamX in another house I was visiting for a league sweeper. This house has very quick back-ends, and I tend to struggle there because of my lower ball speed This was where I really saw the unique advantage that the Tour DynamX can provide. Where I might use urethane on a similar condition, it often makes the lanes really tricky as they transition, with most modern urethanes flaring enough to pick up in the front of lane oil, but really causing it to push into the back-end. The result being a constant need to manipulate the shape as the lanes transition and even trickier; finding the correct ball to move into when the lanes transition. The Tour DynamX gives you all of the benefit of urethane type motion without the biggest drawback. The ball going down this part of the lane with a reactive cover actually makes the lanes better for the equipment you transition to.
I would recommend the Tour DynamX for everyone's tournament bag. It's also an incredibly useful piece in houses with quicker back-ends and for very rev-dominant bowlers. It takes well to hand position changes which also sets it apart from urethane as you can stay in it longer without losing carry.

My first impression is this will be the first ball out of my bag on league night. Strong mid lane reaction with plenty of continuous motion to kick the corner pins. There wasn’t a spot on the lane that I did not feel comfortable throwing this ball. Might need to hit the surface just a bit, maybe 3000 if you don’t bowl on a shot with plenty of oil but I think as this ball lane shines up it will just get better and better.
Any SPI line ball with the word “Tour” in it has to be a huge success right? The new Tour Dynam-X is going to be no different. This ball features the Rondure Tour Core which is a spin off of the Rondure Core that was found in the Rubicons. This ball also has a new TourTrax Solid cover. I drilled mine to serve a different purpose in my bag, the 6 x 6 x 2 layout. I wanted something that was weaker drilled on the resin side but still was kind of quick when it saw the friction. After I first threw this ball I was completely shocked that it was still very strong and never really quit on me. I think anyone who bowls tournaments must have this in the bag because it’s going to be a great ball for the fresh because of how smooth it is.

The Tour Dynam-x is a shape that is essential to any bowler's bag. Initially, I thought the Tour Dynam-x would out-hook the IQ Tour Solid. Interestingly, I found that they picked up in almost the same spot, but the Tour Dynam-x got a little more forward off the end of the pattern, allowing me a little more control of the breakpoint. It's notable that the TD provides more control than the IQ Tour, seeing as how the IQ Tour has been the standard of control and predictability as long as it has been on the market (and that's been awhile). The TD also has the unique ability to get across the lane with slower speed and still maintain its axis/hitting power. The TD rolls like an IQ Tour but softens the breakpoint up a bit more and hits more like a big ball. What's not to love?
The Tour Dynamix has a low RG value of 2.47 a low differential of 0.026 and a medium intermediate differential of 0.010.
Rot Grip came out with a brand-new Tour Trax Cover wrapped around a modified Rondure Tour Core.
The differential / intermediate differential has been lowered on the core as compared to what was used in the Rubicon to create a faster revving version that stays on-line easier and longer with less change of direction due to the Differential value being cut in half.
Whether you have a super high rev rate or a super low rev rate, or a rev rate somewhere in the middle, this Low RG, Low Differential, Mild Asymmetric Differential core produces a constant stable motion off your hand and all the way through the pin deck.
In comparison to the 900 Global Xponent, the Xponent is the poster child for a benchmark ball fits right in the middle of a Summit and a Tour Dynamix. The Xponent will very smooth, continuous, and very predictable. The Tour Dynamix is an IQ tour on steroids and will give you that drive up the hill that is not seen in an IQ tour until later in you 3 game set for league or later in an 8-game block on tour.
In the bag, will be the Summit, Xponent, Tour Dynamix and Storm Hyroad Pearl

Roto Grip’s new Tour Dynam-X is a Solid Asymmetrical Low-Medium Flare piece that is good for Medium-Heavy Oil conditions. PAP is 5 5/16 R 1 3/16 Up. Rev Rate: 400. Speed: 16.5. Drilled this piece with the Pin above the bridge, CG kicked out a 1”, and Mass Bias 1” to the right of the Thumb. I threw this piece on a fresh 41’ house pattern. Out of Box ball motion was clean through the fronts started early in the mids with a smooth continuous backend reaction. I compared this piece to the Storm IQ Tour, 900 Global Reality and Xponent, and Storm Phaze II. IQ Tour (Symmetric) was 4-4 right with an overall smooth motion. Reality (Asym) was 2-2 right but with a smooth continuous back motion. Xponent (Symmetric) 2-2 right with an overall smooth motion. Phaze II (Symmetric) was similar shape but stronger on the backend. This piece will be good for all types of styles.

The Tour DynamX is like an IQ Tour with a weight hole. It’s low RG, Low Diff, Lower Int Mid Diff! And a cleaner cover! I’ve been waiting for this ball a long time! It keeps its axis better than any asym we’ve made in a long time.
Things I love about the DynamX
1. I can literally throw it as slow as I want and it won’t burn up or hook too early in the front
2. If I bump the dry it rarely goes sideways. It hooks off the dry but it’s more of a gradual continuous arc.
3. It lets me play parts of the lane I can’t play with any other ball because it’s clean, hits the midlane and doesn’t overhook down lane!
Already one of my favorites and I can’t wait for the pearl!

Review:
The Tour Dynam-X features TourTrax coverstock which provides versatility in coverstock technology. The Rondure Core is being used to add control and smoothness for a ball in the HP3 line. The ball intent is to create a ball motion not readily seen in the SPI line of bowling balls.
In comparison to my Roto Grip UC-3 and TNT the Tour Dynam-X will have much more utility in my arsenal. My UC-3 is a bit strong for a urethane type option and my TNT is a bit specific where it comes into play. The Tour Dynam-X on 40' Don Johnson showed a nice balance of length and control. The TNT in this case was good length wise, but off the spot over and under and the UC-3 had me steeper then I desired.
For me, I really desire an option for sport and league patterns where control is the key, yet I want to move away from urethane do to the earlier chacteristics of these balls during events where a lot of traffic may happen. I feel the Tour Dynam-X might be that option over balls like the UC-3 and TNT for reasons I noted above. The cover comes out at 2K from the factory so I'm debating if 3K might give it just a touch more length out of my bag once urethane is not a good option.
Anything you desire in a ball to create earlier hook and control the Tour Dynam-X is what you are looking for. These type of balls are needed and advantageous in today's bowling environment. They are also tough when looking for the right combination of length and hook strength.
I'm very excited about this particular ball being an asymmetric and initial use has shown the ball has nice predictable continuation in the hook phase. This is not what you generally see in most asym pieces. Be sure to grab a Dynam-X today. It might just be the surprise of the season.

I found the Tour Dynam-X to be an excellent new release by Roto Grip. And the Dynam-X lives up to everything Roto Grip set out to do with its design. The Tour Dynam-X is a smooth, predictable, dependable ball that belongs in any straighter player's arsenal to keep you scoring all night in THS league conditions.

Name of the game with the Tour Dynamx is control. When this ball was announced I was very excited based off the numbers. Lower diff .026 with an intermediate diff of .10. The Dynamx feels like it is stronger than what the numbers say. Threw this ball on the challenge condition 42ft Kegal Chromium which is a shot we use for league I am in on Mondays. This ball let me play a tighter line to start with awesome continuation and power through the pins. You can tell with the way the labels rotate when the ball is reading the lanes and revving up and turning for home. With the little bit of asymmetry of the core it gets the ball moving on the back end more so than a IQ Tour or a Hyped Solid. The reaction is a strong arc. It gives you a very consistent read of what the lanes are doing as well. This will be a first ball out of the bag for a variety of conditions to get a read of what I need to do on the lanes. This ball will be great for people with higher rev rates like myself looking for control. Or even lower speed lower rev players that need to get a ball down lane with control!

The Tour Dynamix from Roto Grip is a brand new concept with the modified rondure core. It has a significantly lower differential and RG compared the the original core, which helps provide less flare and less overall hook. Wrapped in the new Tour-Trax solid coverstock, the Tour Dynamix gives a much more forgiveable ball motion than other balls in the line-up. Compared to the IQ Tour, the TD creates more shape down lane and is not as early. The IQ Tour is a little bit rounder and earlier. I drilled both the TD and IQ Tour 3.75x4x4 2LS and both of these give me a very controlable motion down lane. The TD helps blend some of the over/under we see on house conditions and cliffed sport patterns.
Layout: 4 x 3.5 x 5.25
The Tour Dynam-X fills a spot in the SPI lineup that has been missing for a long time--probably not since the Zero Gravity has there been an asymmetric lower-to-mid-differential ball. Featuring the Tour Trax Solid Reactive cover and a modified version of the Rondure Core that was seen in the successful Rubicon series. The RG remains low (2.47 at 15 pounds), but the differential has been halved (.026--even lower than the IQ Tour), giving you the ultimate non-urethane control piece for your tournament arsenal.
Compared to the IQ Tour (one of which I have drilled basically with the same layout), the Tour Dynam-X has a heavier roll in the mid-lane due to the earlier combination of the coverstock as well as the asymmetric core, with less of a radical change in direction in the back part of the lane. When the backend is crispier and more cliffed front-to-back, the Tour Dynam-x will make it easier to tame the last 20 feet of the lane and reduce the "surprising" through-the-face shots, especially on the fresh.
When used on the Sunset Strip pattern (3.33:1 ratio, 40 feet, 24.7 ml), I started with the IQ Tour and was having trouble keeping it from peeling off the backend too strong (mainly due to it being a pretty high-friction house). With the Tour Dynam-X, I was not only able to keep the backend tame, but I was also able to, with a touch more speed, keep my angles more in front of me due to the core/cover combination digging into the pattern better.
This is absolutely not just a replacement for the IQ Tour, it is a fantastic complement. If you have these two pieces in your bag, you are really set for a lot of very difficult conditions.

This low Diff ball makes it even more controllable and dependable than the trusty IQ tour solid! I found myself using this ball later on in tournaments and getting left. I am confident that this ball with roll and continue. I love how predictable this is.
Are you looking for a ball motion that is controllable and still splits the 8-9? I bowl a lot of PBA50 events and wanted something in my bag that I could use on the fresh for flatter patterns and this gem did not disappoint. Rev rate 300-330, and about 15mph. Axis 4 1/8 -> 3/4^ Pin just above fingers on center line and MB in my thumb. This just may be my first ball out of the bag at league and PBA Events! Great Ball Roto!
The all new Tour Dynam-X is highly anticipated for every competitive bowler. It uses the Rondure Core wrapped around with Tour Trax solid which gives outstanding versatility and control. Unfortunately, I don’t think this is the urethane replacement most people were hoping it to be but don’t let that deter you away. My first impression it hooks much more than expected. It digs a good amount in the mid lane with a smooth but strong continuation. I compared to to my Reality and it’s been a great ball down choice once the Reality starts to burn up or when I need to play straighter. The Tour Dynam-x will always be in my bag whether it’s house shots or sport patterns I think that’s what makes it so good. I will say be careful will layouts and don’t go too crazy because i have my standard pin up on mine and when I start to get around the ball the track moves close to my thumb and fingers.

Hey everyone, I'm back with another ball review, and this time it's for the Roto Grip Tour Dynam-X!
In 14 pounds this ball is wrapped in TourTrax Solid Cover and comes with A 2000 grit finish and an RG of 2.52, Diff of .026, and an MB of .008.
The Tour Dynam-X is the newest ball from Roto Grip and right after throwing this ball, you can tell that this ball is different. The technical numbers of this ball make it a great middle-of-the-bag ball AKA benchmark ball. This ball comes with some surface and at 2000 it blends the lane instead of being too quick to hit all three phases of ball motion. I use this ball later in the night during league when they get wet/dry but really see this ball shining more on the tournament side where you see different lane conditions and oil patterns. This ball takes to surface changes very well and depending on what you are looking for play with the surface to get what you looking for.

Sleeper ball of the decade!!! Roto Grip coming out with some fire with the new Tour Dynamix! An RG of 2.47, Diff of .026 and and intermidiate of .010 wrapped with the Tour Trax coverstock. What you'll see out of this ball is a very smooth and predictable ball reaction that contiues through the pins. This ball is a asym IQ Tour that is earlier with the same amount of continuation. I have thrown this ball across a variety of patterns and its usually the first ball out of my bag when I am looking for something that is slightly stronger than my symetrical solid options, but not something as strong as somethig like a Reality or Gem.

My early reactions to the new Tour Dynam-X is it is much stronger than I anticipated. It has a very smooth reaction through most of the lane but very strong. I compare this to IQ Tour, but earlier and stronger. Very versatile ball as I am able to throw on fresh house shots, as well as medium to medium heavy oil sport shots. What impresses me the most about this ball is how low it keeps the pins when it hits, creating a lot of pin action. This bowls well for out of box as well as shined up, it is probably the most versatile ball in my bag currently.
The all new Roto Grip Tour Dynam-x features all new technology with control in mind. This ball is a unique piece that will be a great addition to any tournament players bag. This ball was built with tour players in mind, they wanted to have a ball that would give a controllable ball motion that does not deviate from its line very easily. In my mind I feel like this ball was created to give a urethane feel without the ball destroying an oil pattern. From what I have seen from this ball so far I will be able to throw this ball on a variety of patterns, this ball doesn’t do anything spooky. For someone that has a higher rev rate, this ball will allow me to stay further right on more patterns which is something that I am always looking for. I am extremely happy with this ball so far and I look forward to using it in more settings! Go out and get yours today!

The Tour Dynam-X is a new mildly asymmetric ball in Roto Grip’s HP3 line. It features the new TourTrax cover which is medium to lower strength. The core is the new Rondure Tour core, which shares the shape of the original Rondure core from the Rubicon series, but the density has been adjusted to lower all 3 numbers down to 2.47 for the RG, .026 for the differential, and .010 for the intermediate differential in 15 pounds. On paper, this is a mildly asymmetric IQ Tour type of ball.
The box surface is 2000, and it’s surprisingly strong at this surface. However, because it’s a medium to lower strength cover, it weakens significantly as it shines. However again, this makes it incredibly versatile. With surface it has the traction and stability to be in play on tougher sport patterns, and with shine it’s surprisingly usable and effective on league patterns. The super lower RG helps the ball control the midlane, while the low differential and mild asymmetry helps keep it very stable and controllable.
The Tour Dynam-X feels like a smoother and weaker version of the Phaze 2. The shape is identical, the same slightly directional arc that’s very responsive to hand changes and physical adjustments. I think it’s an evolution of the IQ Tour Solid in that it does all the same things the IQ Tour does, but the versatility is increased substantially. Like I mentioned, the TDX is a step down from the Phaze 2 but a step up from the Hustle RIP.
One of the newest additions to the HP3 line at Roto Grip is the Tour Dynamx. After drilling several balls a year from the Utah plant, I’d have to say this is one of the more unique ones I’ve drilled. Bowling as a game is evolving with the urethane rules frequently changing, and I believe the Tour Dynamix is a ball that can be used to try and replicate a urethane-type reaction while still throwing reactive. The numbers, characteristics, and shape of the Dynamx are unique and I think, impressive.
The coverstock is extremely strong. It’s wrapped with the Tour Trax coverstock and inside is the Rodure core. With that combination, the numbers come out to 2.47 RG, .026 differential, and .010 PSA. With the differential being very low (IQ Tour levels), the Dynamx doesn’t flare a lot. When you drill it, I’d recommend drilling it closer to 4-4.5” from your PAP to make sure it flares enough. Don’t be shocked when you look at the oil lines and they are extremely tight together. It’s perfectly normal. However, when you throw it, this ball will read early, often and feel very strong.
I think this could be a great ball to use to combat some of the urethane battles bowlers have. With a strong cover and low diff, I think this will eliminate a lot of that over/under bowlers notice when they are following urethane or having to complete against it. I’ve drilled one so far and really like it. It’s drilled with the pin below my ring finger with a good size shift of the CG and mass bias. The numbers come out to 4.5 x 3 x 30. I’m keeping this one relatively dull too. I’ve kept the surface at 2000 to make sure when it use it, it picks up and goes through the pins the right way.
This ball is awesome! Just make sure you drill it stronger to assure it will flare enough!

One of the most versatile balls ive ever thrown, ive used it on short, medium, and long patterns, ive used it on house shots all across houston, its the first ball in the bag and first ball on the lanes. It takes everything i love of the iQ tour solid and makes it asymmetrical, which means i can get further left without worrying if its gonna miss the spot or be too clean. It hooks early without losing energy, it recovers when you miss out, ive never had a better stretch of weeks in league with any other ball, it still rolls great with surface or with lane shine, its just a great ball for any player.
I am a two hander with about 450 revs but i feel like ive seen so many people match up with it, from up ten dumpers to regional tour guys, and especially some pros. Ive drilled two, with another one coming soon.

Core: Rondure Tour
Factory Finish: 2000 Abralon
Layout: 4 x 4 x 2
The Dynam-X quickly found a way into my league and tournament bag. It provides control and continuation while still having a nice strong reaction. I am not sure I have ever thrown a ball that does what the Dynam-X does on the lane. It pops off the dry but isn't anything resembling angular. The other control piece in the HP3 line is the TNT, which is a lot earlier than the Dynamic-X. The shiny options in the HP-3 line are the TNT Infused and the Duo. The Infused and Duo are clean and responsive to friction, much more so than the Dynam-X. The addition of the Tour Dynam-X allows Roto Grip’s HP3 line to cover a lot of bases of ball reaction.
The Tour Dynam-X is a well rounded ball that covers a lot of bowlers and skill levels, especially in today's high friction lane environment where slow ball speed is a killer and controlling hook is king.

The Roto Grip Tour Dynam-X is a bowling ball that delivers control, stability, and versatility on tough and demanding lane conditions. It features the new Rondure Tour core, which has a very low total differential and a mild intermediate differential, creating a smooth and stable motion from start to finish. The coverstock is the new Tour Trax Solid Reactive, which has a rough 2000 Abralon finish that helps the ball pick up early and provide a controlled arc at the breakpoint. The Tour Dynam-X is ideal for bowlers who need a ball that can handle over-reacting or shorter patterns, as well as for those who prefer a rounder shape down lane. The ball can also be adjusted with different surface preparations or layouts to suit different styles and preferences. The Tour Dynam-X is a must-have for serious or semi-serious bowlers who want to compete at the highest levels of the sport.
For my Tweener style I can describe the TD as an asymmetrical Hyped Solid. Not my first ball option in league, more of a third gamer on a THS due to my lower rev rate and speed. and not wanting to get steep with my angles.
Great ball to keep in front of you when you need that control at the breakpoint or when you a readable shape. No lack in confidence when it comes to execution and continuation at the pin deck.
Definitely a ball to have in your arsenal for the semi-serious and serious local THS tournaments and shorter sport patterns bowler.

Newest addition to the Roto Grip HP3 line is the Tour Dynam-X. The Tour has a strong solid coverstock with a low rg (2.47)and low diff core (0.26). This is a unique combination. We really haven't had that combo in a ball from SPI. So hats off to the design team! I drilled mine with a pin up 4 inch pin. I have used the Tour on a bunch of patterns, very versatile. Its kind of cover strong like the IQ Tour solid. Ive been able to play inside 4th arrow and played up the lane around 1st arrow with the Tour. The cover responds with all kind of surface adjustments, whether it is with Abralon pads or step 2.
The downlane reaction is probably a little on the slow response side, but the Tour for me carries real well. The Tour is kind of between an asymmetrical and a symmetrical ball. Even though the Tour is an asymmetrical ball, but with the lower diff it fits in between. Great ball to have in your bowling ball arsenal.

The Tour Dynam-x is very unique, and for a good reason. It doesn’t over-flare, and allows you to keep your angles in front of you without sacrificing carry. As someone who too often moves left ahead of the curve, this ball allows me to stick to the right, play the proper part of the lane, and let the ball do the work for you. Amazing work by the SPI team on this ball.
The Tour Dynam-X is our new solution for urethane! The Tour Dynam-X has our Rondure Core that was in the Rubicon Series, and the Tourtrax Cover. I see this ball being useful with a lot of friction. It has an early and controllable shape which you will see in a lot of urethane balls. But the low differential, this gets you as close as possible to that exact shape.

I have bowled 6 games so far with this ball and let me tell you I love it !! At age 76 I need all the help I can get. My average on league is a whooping 144 but my lowest game since rolling this ball has been a 169. It allows me to move in or out on the lanes and is very controllable.

The Roto Grip Tour Dynam-X utilizes the Tour Trax solid coverstock and the Rondure weight block. My first thoughts are control and versatility. The Dynam-X is another option in that iQ Tour space. The Dynam-X can be thrown from straighter angles early and deeper angles later in the blocks. It will never be the ball to cover the most boards but can be thrown from left to right with modest board coverage. We had the Dynamix a touch stronger than the iQ Tour, which has to be the coverstock. The Tour Trax is a new generation solid coverstock that blends the trust-worthy Versatile Traction Control (VTC) coverstock from the Hustle line with some new additives to create a versatile bowling ball.

Tour Dynam-x
It says it all in the name... Tour. This ball exceeds on tougher conditions like the pros see on tour, but don't get me wrong this bad boy also works wonders on a house shot. With is smooth, predictable, and very controlled motion you get an asymmetric shape with the continuation through the pins like a symmetrical core would.
Bowler Stats:
Speed: 15.5 MPH
Rev Rate: 275 RPM
Tilt: 3-5 degrees
Axis Rotation: 60 degrees
PAP: 5 ⅜ over 1 ¼ up
Layout: 41/4 X43/4 X 2 VLS
With the release of the Tour Dyman-X during the PBA 50 Season I was not sure how I would match up with the design of the Rondure core. After seeing the core numbers and it being a weaker asymmetrical core I decided to put a stronger layout on it rather than my normal one. I thought it may give me a urethane type of motion off the end of shorter patterns since I didn't have urethane as an option in my arsenal. Unfortunately I think I missed on the layout because it’s very confused on the house and sport patterns.
The 41/4 inch pin placement gives me the proper length with the weaker core but the 43/4 mass placement doesn’t allow the ball to flare enough when it begins to read the dry at the end of the pattern. I used a similar drilling I would use on an !Q Tour solid since this ball was to be slightly stronger with the same type of ball motion.
I changed the cover to 1000 abralon by hand and that helped it read the house pattern for my ball review video but as it shined up it still was confused.
I plan to drill another one and change the mass bias placement in the VLS layout to 4 inches and so it will flare more to match my lower rev rate.

The Tour Dynam-x provides a look that all bowlers would welcome to their bag.
I'm a right handed player whose style leans toward being rev dominate.
Speed off my hand is in the mid 16 mph range.
I drilled mine 45x4x35.
This is my go-to layout and gives me lots of options.
The Dynam-x is a low flare ball with a fairly strong cover and finish.
On the lanes, house or tournament conditions, this ball provides a confidence inspiring mid lane off climbing shape.
I like using it when I can stay on top of the shim with speed and chase it in.
The dig in this cover alongside the slight asymmetry in the core makes this the play for me.
It was a mere matter of moments after I got this one on the lanes that it was destined for my tournament bag.
You can reach out to me on my Facebook page, "Throwing Bolts and Seeing Stars", if you have questions about this
great piece.

The Tour Dynam-X has a very unique ball reaction that, as intended, is best compared to the Storm IQ Tour. It is very smooth and predictable, though the added asymmetry gives it a touch more downlane kick. It does not pick up too early, and saves everything for the midlane. With surface, this ball is good on heavier or flatter fresh patterns. For me, the smooth arcing nature of this ball lends itself to being much better when straighter angles or a “down and in” line is needed. Once I have to move left, balls like a TNT Infused or Clone come around the corner better. I find that this ball is a great alternative to using urethane.

I drilled my Tour Dynam-X 4.5 x 4 x 3.5 and I was really looking forward to throwing it. It has the Rondure Tour Core, which is a slightly modified version of the Rondure Core that was in all the Rubicon balls. The Rubicon Tour core has a slightly lower RG and intermediate differential, but a significantly reduced differential. I really wanted this to be a ball I could bail out to after the lanes get torn apart during league. My first reaction throwing the ball was “This ball HOOKS!” Needless to say, that’s not what I was expecting out of this ball. It took 7-10 games for it to really tame down and settle in, which has significantly reduced the amount of overall hook and has become much more of a control piece. I’m still not using it a lot on house shots, but it definitely makes the trip with me to any tournament I bowl in.

Sneaky good and very predictable. I haven’t had a chance to throw the Tour Dynam-X very much before I had surgery. The Dynam-X was definitely stronger than I expected. I had heard different reviews on what this ball was supposed to be. I heard it was supposed to be strong and I also heard that it was supposed to be weak and roll more like urethane. Both of those reviews are correct. What I mean by this is the Dynam-X is a strong ball but has a roll like urethane. The reason I say it rolls like urethane is because of how early it picks up on the front part of the lane and starts reading the pattern and then gets down lane and breaks and has the nice strong controllable finish through the pins like urethane.
No, I am not saying that this is taking the place of your urethane equipment because it’s not. What I am saying is the roll reminds me of a very, never seen before strong urethane ball. The Dynam-X hooks like a solid and is very controllable and hits like a tank. I truly believe that the Tour Dynam-X is going to be useful on all different types of patterns, be very versatile and shoul make your line up, I know it’s making mine.

I am a higher speed, rev challenged 220-250ish, high tilt, high rotation, and super low track player. I drilled my Roto Grip Tour Dynam-x 5 5/16 x 3 x 2 and my axis point is 3 ¼ right and 7/8 up. The Roto Grip Tour Dynam-x is a small asymmetric solid reactive piece that I really like to use on short and medium volume patterns. The low Rg and small diff gives this ball medium- high flare potential when I need something to spin up fast, be clean, smooth, and controllable this is the ball to go to.
My YouTube video of the ball can be found at:
https://youtu.be/OyYvwViZYY0?si=-qxF61d427CjNjDV
The new Roto Grip Tour Dynam-x features the Rondure Tour Core wrapped in Tour Trax solid reactive coverstock. At 15 pounds the ball has an RG of 2.47 with a differential of .026 and an intermediate differential of .010. I drilled this with the pin above the bridge. The Tour Dynam-x low differential will allow bowlers to keep their angles closed longer and play closer to the friction than most reactive balls would. This ball is a must have for tournament players as well as league bowlers. The Tour Dynam-x is very controllable for the tougher patterns as well as blending out the wet/dry house patterns. This is a heavy rolling ball which not only excels at going up the boards, but it also performs well when you need to open your angles a little bit. This is one of those balls that won’t wow you with overall hook or backend motion. All it does is give the bowler a consistent reaction with excellent pin carry, keeping you out of trouble and in the pocket striking longer!!
The Roto Grip Tour Dynam-X provides you control down lane when a bowling pattern may get tricky or requires control. Personally it is a great Game 1 ball for me. Go visit your local pro shop to order one today.
When RotoGrip discontinued the Rubicon it left a hole if you needed an asymetrical ball but you didn't need the really strong cover stock to blend out the lanes. I decided to go with a 5x4x1 in 14lbs so that I had a ball that would shape downlane instead of roll early like the Gem or RST X3. I was pleasantly surprised when I threw this ball. I could get it a little right and it would recover and carry. If I missed a little to the left it seemed to get down the lane far enough that it wouldn't just pile into the headpin. I bowl on a typical 44ft house shot where this ball is not quite enough coverstock when it is fresh but once the lanes start to open up the Tour Dynam-x is like an !Q Tour on steroids. I would not recommend this ball for really long oily conditions or very dry conditions but most players will be able to find a spot in the middle of their arsenal.
good ball i used this to replace my ucb 1 i did but some surfuce on it and now love it and a pretty color ball
Illinois, United States
a good ball i am a low speed low rev bowler out of the box for me was a good spare ball even thow i am still learning to bowl i ended up useing a 360 grit pad on it and made a big deffrernce for me and made a grate shap down the lane and i love it. the ball i use after the lane brakes down enuf for my global 900 . now the Dynam x took the place of my black widow 2.0
It is a great ball for medium conditions when you want to keep the angles in front of you and for late in the block when everything wants to violently unleash down lanes. Shot 300 with it on the last pair of the house!
Arrived exactly as advertised. No complaints as usual. Keep it up. Will purchase from here again.

i got the ball and hit it with a 360 pad as a low speedand low rev player it is just as good as the Rubicon witch i had one and the shap is really close. looks good going down the land and a few people tell me the like how the ball looks and so do i . if your looking for a ball that is close to the Rubicon then the tour dynam x is it . i
I love this ball! It was given to me be a friend. After having filled and re-drilled for a lefty, I can’t put it down. “Roto Grip don’t ever stop making this ball! I’d honestly throw it anywhere, League/Tournament. One last thing this coverstock does not seem to soak up oil, I’ve had it in my ball oven twice after multiple weeks of continuous use and I have not gotten a drop of oil out of it yet.
this was an amazing ball i got it in 2024 and never left my bag . it is my go to ball when my first ball starts hooking to much i love the shape and have a few people i bowle with loving the shape . they are wishing they can get one now .
