I picked up the SWAG Craze Solid, and wow, this ball is a game-changer! The solid reactive coverstock provides incredible traction on medium to heavy oil lanes, giving me a smooth yet strong reaction downlane. The motion is predictable but still packs a serious punch through the pins.
What I love most is the consistency – it reads the lane beautifully and gives me confidence on every shot. Whether I’m playing a tighter line or swinging it out a bit, the Craze Solid recovers effortlessly and carries phenomenally.
If you need a benchmark ball that delivers power, control, and a strong mid-lane read, this is it! SWAG knocked it out of the park with this one. Highly recommend for anyone looking to step up their game!

The craze solid is stronger than you might be expecting as a lower performance entry level ball.
I am a medium speed, high rev two hander and I struggle to play near the track on my typical house shot league. This ball however, allowed me to do that with ease and more importantly, it allowed me to miss right and left and provided me forgiveness. As the lanes started to open up, the Craze solid is definitely a good ball to move left with as long as you dial your speed down a bit.
Overall a great reaction for a lower differential symmetrical.

The SWAG Bowling Craze Solid is in the Primary Performance Line with a Rage solid cover and symmetric core. It has a 2.52 RG / .030 Diff and is 3000 grit polished out of box. I drilled this ball 35/3/55 with a PAP of 5 over 7/8 up. This ball is a great entry level benchmark type ball. It read the lane later and played more angular for me. It had great control on the friction and did not over react in the back. The colors swirled in the pour are awesome! I even played with it two handed and it was very controllable.

This entry level solid is an underdog. Its in the entry level category, but packs a punch, that in my opinion, is way above entry level, especially on a typical house shot. Once I got lined up, this ball gave plenty of back and power as well as some great forgiveness. If I got it out to the friction to early, it did not overreact and if I got it inside a little, it held nicely! This Craze Soild would be a great option for anyone looking to get their first Swag ball.

This ball doesn't act like a entry level ball. The more games on it, the better it gets.

This ball I use on short oil or when the lanes break down or when the oil carries down and I need a ball that breaks a little sooner this is the ball I go to like my other balls it has a smooth controllable break point but with a little more hand I can make it break more or less with less hand and it gives me what I want to see down lane when my stronger balls are not working for me this ball along with the Craze Pearl gives me a good 1 / 2 punch on any med to dry lane condition
I would like to think Mike Vanderspool from Bowlersmart in Johnsburg Illinois for recommending this ball. It's a great bowling ball and I would recommend it for anyone!
LET'S TALK ABOUT THE SWAG CRAZE SOLID! I AM AMAZINGLY SURPRISED WITH THIS BALL. I ALWAYS THOUGHT AS ENTRY LEVEL BOWLING BALLS TO BE WEAK WHEN COMING TO PROFORMANCE, NOT THE SWAG CRAZE SOLID. THIS BALL PACKS ALOT OF PUNCH. BEING A SYMMETRICAL BALL YOU CAN EXPECT THIS BALL TO BE CLEAN THRU THE FRONTS, BUT WITH THE SOLID RAGE COVERSTOCK TO BE ABLE TO HANDLE MEDIUM OIL WITH NO PROBLEM AT ALL.THE BLACK PINK COLOR COMBINATION HAS GREAT SHELF APPEAL.THIS BALL IS DEFINITELY A FIRST BALL OUT THE BAG ON A TYPICAL HOUSE SHOT AND POSSIBLY ABLE TO STAY IN ALL 3 GAMES. MY TYPICAL LAYOUT ON MY SOLID BOWLING BALL IS 60X4.5X30. I FIND THIS LAYOUT WORKS BEST FOR ME. YOU CAN CHECKOUT MY BALL REVIEW ON YOUTUBE WWW.YOUTUBE.COM/BOWLINGWITHDIALLO

This ball is amazing! I drilled it 25x3 3/8x 25. This made it very versatile. I have thrown it on sport and house. Ive done no surface prep, but it seems to get better with lane shine. I shot 299 with it. It continues to be one of the first ones out of my bag.
This ball is great for light to medium oil conditions. I do use this ball for the third game as well. It does have a very controllable break point. The ball is very smooth in the mid lanes. I just love the reaction of this ball. It complements the pearl very nicely. PUT SOME SWAG IN YOUR BAG!!!

So I threw this ball and was expecting it to just be a game 3 or burn ball. Not only did it deliver for what I needed it to, I found that this ball had capabilities to allow me to play around zone 1 anytime I wanted to. On a shorter sport pattern with high density through the middle? This ball has you covered. You'll be surprised how well this ball can make the hrill and keep its continuation and easily run over that 8 pin ( or 9 if you are a lefty). The solid coverstock was great out of the box but i like to play with the surface just to see what suits me better. I like this ball at 2k, easily made it through the fronts with a good amount of energy on the backend. You will definitely be wanting to pick this ball up for yourself.
This ball has become the first ball out for league nights. Really reads the midd and turns when it sees the friction

The Craze solid is from Swag Primary Performance Line. It is pink and black
Great as a first ball out of the bag on a house shot with a medium to heavy oil.
The swag craze symmetric core and Swag Rage reactive cover stock with a 3000 grit surface finish gives you a nice smooth arc to the pocket. I have mine drilled pin down 45x4x60 allowing the ball to come into the pocket earlier.
Only have 9 games on the ball but it is quickly becoming a benchmark ball for me. Most nights on a house shot this ball plays well through game one and about halfway through game two.

Greetings, I have the privilege of representing Swag. I was super excited to get my hands on this one. Mostly because there is a pearl counterpart with the exact same specs. The only variance is the cover. So, for this review we will focus on the solid. This ball is supposed to be on the lower end. Do not be fooled, it is deceptively strong. Side by side with the pearl it gets into a roll much earlier and it's more archy. This ball is great to move to as lanes start to transition. But with the sanded cover if you are in a high friction house it’s also a great option for a fresh league shot. If you have a lot of revs it will not over hook for you when you hit the dry. It still retains a lot of energy and drives through the pins. Which also means this is a great option for sport conditions where the oil is longer. This ball doesn’t deflect much when it makes contact with the pocket. If you do need the length though the cover is versatile that it will take to polish very well. That will give it a more kick once it hits the dry. In my opinion though It shines best with the dull cover. So if you want the signature Swag continuation on the lower price point with a dull cover you cannot miss this Craze.
This ball is smooth and controllable. It is one of not the most consistent and versatile balls in my bag! If you are looking for for value and quality this is it!

Love this bowling ball. Got it drilled to go long down and in. It doesn't over react on the lanes. Usually 1st ball out of my bag.

I drilled this ball 70x5x50. This ball was originally intended to replace my jerks and shields. I soon discovered this ball to more than just ban entry level ball. This ball for me is much more responsive to friction than I expected it to be. On the fresh I can start by playing straight. Once the lanes transition, I can move left and still get the ball to finish. For me this ball really shows it teeth on sport shots. I can play anywhere on the lane I wish and still get the ball to finish. This includes all patterns short, medium and long.
This ball on fresh is very good in terms of controlling your break point whether it on a house shot or a sport shot.

Loving this ball. It is my first ball, and I am throwing more stokes then I ever have

The Craze Solid was my third purchase in the SWAG newer releases category. When the lanes are a bit slick on the outside, like in tournament play many times, I go to my Craze solid to get that little bit more bite and hook that I need. Senior bowler here, rolling 14 lbs and usually a stacked layout. I had the pin kicked out just a bit more on this one. During tourney play when my usual balls are going long this is my switch to ball for that bit extra I need and the strikes start adding up. The Craze Solid is a truly versatile bowling ball that performs well on many lane condition. It clears the fronts with ease and delivers an nice angular motion to the pins.

One of the things that I like most about this ball is I can get an excellent read on the lanes after my second or third shot. I can then basically tell if I need to move my feet, change hand position or ball up or down accordingly. This ball has incredibly consistent mid lane reaction. I was incredibly pleased with the way this ball hits and at its price point performs as good or even better than bowling balls that cost $100 more. Anybody looking to start throwing SWAG, this will be an excellent value for a starter ball.
The Swag Craze Solid is a masterclass in controlled aggression, making it an essential piece for your bag when the environment gets tricky. While many solid-cover balls are designed for heavy oil, the Craze Solid shines brightest during later play. When the lanes begin to break down and become "cliffed" or unpredictable, this ball provides a smooth, continuous motion that tames over-reactive friction.
It is particularly effective on medium and long sport patterns once the initial oil has depleted. Instead of jumping off the spot, it maintains a predictable arc, allowing you to stay in the pocket while others are struggling with "washouts" or "high" hits. Beyond its performance, the price point is unbeatable; it offers professional-grade predictability and lane-reading capabilities at a fantastic value. For bowlers seeking a reliable, even-rolling option that doesn't quit on the back end, the Craze Solid is a must-have.
Hello, my name is Que and I’m a staff member for SWAG in St. Louis, Missouri. The Craze Solid is one of the most underrated balls in the lineup and it really deserves more attention. The solid coverstock holds its performance over time and does a great job resisting lane shine, which means you can count on a consistent reaction week after week. It reads the lane in a smooth, predictable way and gives you that true benchmark motion bowlers are always looking for.
If you want something you can trust when you’re trying to figure out the lane or when the bigger equipment is just too much, this is the ball to grab. It’s reliable, controllable, and keeps you in play without sacrificing hitting power.
The Craze Solid from SWAG is honestly a unicorn in my arsenal. This ball can truly do it all. It’s the definition of an all-around superstar. I’ve started blocks with it on the fresh and I’ve also closed sets with it once the lanes transitioned that kind of versatility is rare.
What makes the Craze Solid special is how well it controls both the midlane and the backend. It reads the middle of the lane smoothly and predictably, giving me a strong, stable motion that never feels out of control. At the same time, it has a surprising amount of backend for its price point. You wouldn’t expect that kind of continuation and pop downlane, but it absolutely delivers.
It blends wet/dry conditions well, which gives me confidence whether I’m playing straighter angles or moving inside. The reaction shape is strong yet controlled, making it usable across multiple patterns and environments. For me, that’s huge.
If you’re looking for a dependable piece that can start league, survive transition, and still carry when it matters most, the Craze Solid is a standout. Pound for pound, it performs way above its price tag and earns its spot every time I put it in my hand.

What really makes the Craze Solid shinefor me is its devastating backend motion. Once it sees friction, it responds quickly and confidently, creating a sharp but controllable move toward the pocket. It’s the kind of shape that helps open up the lane and create miss room without feeling over/under. Compared to most of my other solid pieces, this one is much more dynamic and aggressive off the spot while still maintaining predictability through the midlane. Not to mention one of the best priced balls on the market!

I love this ball!! I went from bowling a 100 game to a 150 and it looks great going down the lane!!!
MI, United States
I'm a right handed bowler with 14.5 - 15.5 ball speed and 320 - 350 Rev rate. I throw 14 lbs. My average is 210. The Craze Solid has a special place in my arsenal. I bowl a lot of tournaments in different houses. Some of the houses I bowl in are super high friction. In these houses, balls that I would use at my normal house will tend to either hook at my feet or if they are able to get length will burn up all of their energy before they get to the pins. The Craze Solid has been able to give me the length I need at high friction houses on fresh and still have the energy needed to carry properly. Definitely a go to ball for houses that don’t put out a lot of oil.

Decent ball for rec bowling. Seems kind of soft as the lanes we used it on already took a chunk out of it.

This ball is great for those who like to bowl straight. It has good contact with the pens and handles varied lane oil patterns. Suggest going with the heaviest ball weight for maximum potential.
