Performance Analysis
Performance Analysis
The Ebonite Fireball positions itself as an accessible performance ball that bridges the gap between entry-level and premium offerings. Built around Ebonite’s symmetric Fireball core with a 2.51 RG and modest 0.039 differential, this ball generates predictable, controllable motion that won’t overwhelm newer bowlers while still providing enough performance for experienced players on appropriate conditions. The core’s moderate flare potential of 3-4 inches creates consistent roll characteristics that make it easy to read and adjust to.
The GB 11.2 Pearl Reactive coverstock finished at 1500 grit polish provides the clean length and backend reaction typical of pearl formulations. This combination excels on medium oil conditions where the ball can store energy through the front part of the lane before making its move toward the pocket. While the hook potential is moderate compared to higher-end asymmetric pieces, the Fireball’s strength lies in its consistency and versatility across different lane conditions. The presence of video reviews from respected bowlers like Tommy Jones, including a 300 game demonstration, speaks to the ball’s legitimate performance capabilities despite its budget-friendly positioning.

Bowlers frequently mention:
I needed a ball for our second shift league and for the burn squad in tournaments. Thie Purple/Gold Ebonite Fireball performed well on a beat-up league pattern. I drilled it pin up above my fingers. This ball rolled very evenly, had good length through the oil and did not over-react to the dry track area. It also went through the pins best when I got my hand around it more after moving in near the 20 board. Great ball for medium to drier conditions at a great price!
My first ebonite bowling ball and I am a HUGE FAN. Strong back end motion is just my style. Cant wait to roll it more

The new Fireball by Ebonite is out and couldn't wait to drill one. I found the purple and gold version to be about 2 -4 boards stronger and a bit earlier that the cinnamon version.
I drilled mine 65 X 4 X 50. Ebonite continues to produce great pieces. The Fireball Purple/Gold includes a stronger version of HK22 with GB11.2 pearl additives. This is the perfect piece if you are looking for a ball for medium to dry lane conditions.
First the price was amazing compared to the shops around me, and was I surprised on the ball action. Been using this ball more than my Widow
