[Music] [Applause] [Music] Good morning, good afternoon, and good
evening, ladies and gentlemen. Welcome into another video. Today, we're going to be talking about the Rotogrip Hustle Glow. But before we do, just a huge thank you to Storm and I am Bowling for their continued support. If you want 20% off of your next apparel order over at I am Bowling, you can use promo code firehouse07. That gets you 20% off of your order. And here we got the layout for that Hustle Glow. It's going to be a 45x4 by 30. Wanted to get that pin to PAP
distance a little uh shorter just because of, you know, the um characteristics of this glow that pushes it down the lane a little bit. So again, just wanted to get it to set up just a hair earlier. And now we'll talk about the Hustle Glow as you see it going down the lane. So this Hustle Glow was released on May 23rd. It's got colors of mint, fuchsia, and lemon. It's a symmetrical pearl cover is the VTC Pearl. It's been used eight times total, four times states side. Uh the last time
it was used was the Hustle Eminem. This the fourth weakest cover that Rotogrip has. The core is obviously the Hustle core. This core has been used 34 times total, 21 times states side. It's technically the second weakest core that Rotogrip has. The RG is a 243. The diff is 030 and that is 15 lbs. Now, with Storm's recommendations that they have on the website, the flare potential for this ball is low to medium depending on how you have it laid out. The ball shape
is angular. Hook length is going to be a little bit later down the lane. Recommended oil volume is going to be light to medium oil patterns. Length is going to be short to medium. And lane conditions is going to be transitioning to more burn lanes. Heat. [Music] Heat.
[Music] Heat. Heat. [Music]
Up next here, we're going to see the Rotogrip Ultimate Recorder that we broke down in the last video. This ball was also released on May 23rd. It's got colors of cherry, old gold, and wine. It is a symmetrical hybrid and utilizes AI core technology. This is a pure response hybrid cover which is the first time it's ever been used. Comes out of box at power edge polish. The core is the wrecker AI core. This is the first time also that this core has been used with the AI core technology. The RG is 254.
Differential is 445 that is also in 15 lbs. Storm's recommended usage for this ball is going to be the flare potential is medium. Ball shape is going to be between smooth and angular. Uh hooked length is going to be more mid lane. Oil volume is going to be light to medium length or volume patterns. Uh pattern length is going to be short to medium. And lane conditions is going to be more transitional lengths. [Music]

[Music] All right. So, now my thoughts on the Hustle Blow. Um, it's certainly a a step down um of a ball than it than the Ultimate Recker which we threw it to, which I kind of wanted to showcase because uh the Ultimate Recker is a a fairly versatile ball like we talked about in the uh last video when we were showcasing it. Um, but as I said, the Hustle Glow is that sort of step down. I certainly feel like that if the ultimate record is just a hair too much, I can switch to this glow and it'll look
pretty good. um is a little lazy on the back end, which again is good if you're going to pull it out for more transitioning lanes. Um but the Hustle was uh certainly versatile. Uh I could pretty much follow it with the Hustle Glow uh or excuse me, I could follow the ultimate wrecker with this Hustle Glow and um you know, just be a couple more boards, right? And obviously it doesn't look the best when I'm inside with it, but when I'm outside or like I said, just kind of burn have some burn lanes
and and want to uh fall down, this is a good choice. So until the next video, guys, good luck and good ball. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music]
Performance Analysis
Performance Analysis
Testing revealed that the Roto Grip Hustle Glow performs distinctly differently depending on lane conditions and oil volume. On fresh house shot conditions, independent reviewers observed that the pearl coverstock keeps the ball in the oil longer down the lane, requiring deliberate speed adjustments and hand position changes to generate adequate friction for backend motion. However, as the lane breaks down—typically after a couple of games of league play—the Hustle Glow becomes significantly more effective, with the shiny pearl surface reading the lane more aggressively in the midlane and producing smooth, controllable backend reaction. Testing on medium-light oil conditions showed the ball responds well to layout adjustments; reviewers found success with a 60x5½x60 pin placement that prioritizes smoother downlane motion over angular flare, allowing the ball to maintain length without excessive hook potential.
The Hustle Glow’s reactive hybrid coverstock demonstrates moderate differentials in flaring behavior, which testers noted is inherent to the Hustle line’s design philosophy. On fresh patterns, the ball required a more direct approach and careful oil management to avoid overreacting, but this same characteristic became an asset once carrydown accumulated. Independent testing compared the Hustle Glow favorably to entry-level offerings in terms of confidence-inspiring motion through the pin deck—reviewers observed that the ball doesn’t hang up or fail to recover on marginal misses, a common weakness in lower-priced equipment. The aesthetic design (featuring mint, fuchsia, and lemon colorways) was noted as a secondary benefit; testers acknowledged that visual appeal and confidence in a ball’s appearance can positively influence shot execution.
Who Is This Ball For?
The Hustle Glow is ideally suited for bowlers who have broken in a few games on fresh lanes or who typically bowl in higher-friction environments—older lane surfaces, house conditions with significant carrydown, or situations where multiple bowlers have already worked the oil pattern. It’s an excellent choice for league bowlers seeking a complementary mid-to-backend addition to their arsenal without significant financial investment. Bowlers with higher rev rates who need a ball that gets downlane efficiently before reading the track will find this pearl option performs reliably once conditions mature; the symmetric core and medium-light rating make it forgiving for a wide range of release styles.
This ball is less ideal as a fresh-pattern striker on pristine house shots, where the pearl surface can feel sluggish and demand unconventional adjustments. However, for budget-conscious bowlers building their first complete bag, or those looking to add depth to existing collections, the Hustle Glow offers impressive performance value at $109.95—particularly if your typical bowling environments involve broken-in lanes or natural lane transition. Bowlers who prefer smooth, controlled backend motion over sharp angular reaction will appreciate how this ball’s design philosophy delivers predictable energy transfer through the pocket.
The Pros
- • VTC Hybrid cover is the most versatile option in the Hustle family — handles dry through medium conditions
- • Glow-in-the-dark shell makes it the perfect dual-purpose ball for league and cosmic bowling
- • Outstanding value at $109.95 with legitimate reactive performance
- • Hustle symmetric core provides a smooth, predictable shape that newer bowlers can trust
The Cons
- • Conservative .030 differential limits total hook and pin carry on heavier oil
- • Still an entry-level core — experienced bowlers will outgrow the Hustle's ceiling

When I need a ball that can create shape without overreacting on drier lane conditions, the Roto Grip Hustle Glow has quickly earned its spot in my bag. Featuring the proven Hustle™ Core with an RG of 2.53 and a differential of 0.030, this ball delivers a smooth, controlled motion that excels on light to medium oil conditions. The VTC™ Pearl Reactive coverstock, finished with Reacta Gloss™, allows the Hustle Glow to glide effortlessly through the fronts with a cleaner, more angular move off the friction compared to other Hustles. When stacked against the Hustle X-Ray, M-M, and Hustle Earth, the Glow is clearly the cleanest through the front part of the lane and the most responsive off the dry. It's the perfect complement to the Earth, which reads earlier with its solid cover and 2000 grit finish, making the Glow a great go-to when you need added length and downlane pop as the lanes open up. Whether you're a league bowler or tournament player, the Hustle Glow adds versatility and eye-catching flare to your bag. Go to your local VIP proshop today and get yours!
Hustle Glow - Ball Specs Cover Stock: VTC pearl reactive Finish: Power Edge Color: Mint/Fuchsia/Lemon Core: Hustle Core RG: 2.53 Differential: 0.030 Review The Roto Grip has added two more Hustles to this iconic ball line, the Hustle Earth and Glow. The Hustle Glow is a cleaner version of the new Hustles, which features the iconic Hustle Core wrapped in the VTC pearl reactive cover. As a medium to low rev player, this ball is great on light and dry oil patterns. I was able to play right of the track area and the track area in game three of league. The Hustle Glow is more aggressive on the backend of the lane than the Earth, because of the VTC hybrid reactive cover with Power Edge. The Hustle Glow is a must have for league and tournament bowlers. Now available for preorder at your local pro shop! My ball reviews are posted on YouTube channel Stanley Waite. Layout: 4 1/2 x 3 x 2 Surface: Power Edge Rev Rate: 470 RPM Tilt: 13* The Hustle Pearl is brought back again with colors of Mint, Fuchsia and Teal. The VTC Pearl coverstock is used again on top of the Hustle Core. The core has a 2.53 RG and 0.030 differential in 15 pounds. The Hustle Glow was designed to give an angular motion for light oil conditions. On the 44ft house pattern I test on, I saw a much cleaner look and much more length compared to the rest of the Roto Grip lineup. On the fresh, it gave me a lot of length and angle which did not make it that ideal for the conditions I saw. This ball would be better as game 3 ball or a step down from the Hustle Earth or Tropical Surge Solid. Compared to the Ultimate wrecker, I saw much more length but with similar angular motion. I would recommend this ball for those bowling on low volumes of oil who need angle, a step down from the Hustle Earth or for low volume tournament conditions. For the price point, you still get a lot of performance out this one. I can see myself using this for tournaments at the end of blocks where I need angle on higher friction lane surfaces or burnt up lane conditions. Due to my ball speed, I will tend to not use this low end of a ball but is an option if I encounter low volume conditions.
