Performance Analysis
Performance Analysis
The Ebonite Crusher features the asymmetric Crusher core (2.48 RG, .056 differential, .016 intermediate differential) with the Optimize Hybrid Reactive coverstock finished at 2000 Grit Siaair. The matte finish creates early traction in the midlane, allowing the ball to begin its motion sooner and roll through the heavy oil with confidence. With 5-6 inches of flare potential and a potent asymmetric core, the Crusher delivers a powerful, continuous roll with impressive pin carry.
The low RG combined with the high differential creates a ball that revs up quickly and generates abundant flare, which is essential for heavy oil conditions. The 2000 Grit surface gives the Crusher more midlane read than its polished Hybrid counterpart, making it the stronger option in the Crusher line for fresh, heavy oil patterns. The intermediate differential of .016 adds an extra dimension of control and angularity at the breakpoint.
Who Is This Ball For?
The Crusher is built for advanced bowlers and power players who regularly face heavy oil conditions. It fills a critical role in the Ebonite lineup as a go-to heavy oil ball with robust asymmetric design. Crankers and high-rev players will get maximum performance from the strong core and aggressive surface combination. League bowlers on heavy house shots and tournament players on sport patterns with heavy oil volume will find the Crusher to be a reliable weapon.
The Pros
- • Powerful asymmetric core with high differential and strong intermediate diff
- • Matte 2000 Grit finish reads the midlane earlier for heavy oil control
- • Impressive continuation and pin carry thanks to robust flare potential
The Cons
- • May roll out on drier lane conditions due to early midlane read
- • Not the best choice for lighter oil patterns

The Crusher is a new design in the Ebonite line. Ebonite has introduced a high end (pro-performance) aggressive hybrid asymmetric ball with a new core to fill a void in their current line. With the OOB finish, I used this ball on a fresh house shot of medium volume and was able to cross 19 at the arrows out to about 9/8 at the breakpoint. This ball read the midline rather quickly; which is why I played so far left on the lane. Overall thought is that this ball needs more oil and it has that strong roll and nice confutation towards the pocket. Ideally it will handle higher volume oil patterns where control is needed. It kind of reminded me of a Hammer Extreme Envy. This ball offer a high amount of track flare, midline read, and power. This ball is a great compliment to the recently released The One Reverb which handles less volumes of oil and has a quicker response in friction. Pick one up and enjoy this newly designed bowling ball.
I am still a novice bowler and the Crusher is my first professional grade ball. I feel the difference it has made so far trying to land a decent hook with one hand. She definitely hooks hard towards the back end of the lane with sufficient angle and spin. Have had great success with 2 hands. Overall it's a great ball. I think it comes down to the user more than anything.

I've always stuck between storm and hammer. I did the mystery ball and this is what I received. First 3 games out of the box threw a 751 with over 12 straight strikes between games( back 9 of second game and front 5 of 3rd game) so far I absolutely love this ball and def opened my eyes to other brands.
