Performance Analysis
Performance Analysis
The Ebonite Fireball Purple/Gold features the Fireball symmetric core (2.51 RG, .039 differential) with the GB 11.2 Pearl Reactive coverstock at 1500 Grit Polish. The polished pearl surface provides excellent length through the heads and a clean look through the midlane, with a controlled backend motion that is easy to read. The lower differential of .039 means this ball generates moderate flare (3-4 inches), which is appropriate for the lighter oil conditions where it excels.
The higher 2.51 RG pushes the ball further down the lane before it begins to hook, and the pearl coverstock amplifies this length. Combined with the polished finish, bowlers can expect this ball to clear the front part of the lane easily and make a smooth, predictable move at the breakpoint. It does not have the aggressive backend snap of higher-end pearls, making it forgiving and controllable.
Who Is This Ball For?
The Fireball Purple/Gold is perfect for beginners who want their first reactive bowling ball, league bowlers who need an affordable option for light to medium oil, and experienced bowlers looking for a step-down piece when lanes have transitioned. At $79.95, it delivers remarkable value and makes reactive bowling accessible to everyone. The wide 10-16 lb weight range also makes it suitable for youth bowlers and lighter-weight players.

Bowlers frequently mention:
I needed a ball for our second shift league and for the burn squad in tournaments. Thie Purple/Gold Ebonite Fireball performed well on a beat-up league pattern. I drilled it pin up above my fingers. This ball rolled very evenly, had good length through the oil and did not over-react to the dry track area. It also went through the pins best when I got my hand around it more after moving in near the 20 board. Great ball for medium to drier conditions at a great price!
My first ebonite bowling ball and I am a HUGE FAN. Strong back end motion is just my style. Cant wait to roll it more

The new Fireball by Ebonite is out and couldn't wait to drill one. I found the purple and gold version to be about 2 -4 boards stronger and a bit earlier that the cinnamon version.
I drilled mine 65 X 4 X 50. Ebonite continues to produce great pieces. The Fireball Purple/Gold includes a stronger version of HK22 with GB11.2 pearl additives. This is the perfect piece if you are looking for a ball for medium to dry lane conditions.
First the price was amazing compared to the shops around me, and was I surprised on the ball action. Been using this ball more than my Widow
